Séjour vraiment parfait, la chambre est spacieuse et très propre. L’emplacement est splendide et la vue est époustouflante. La piscine est aussi très agréable. Les visites sont très intéressantes et le picnic était délicieux ! Foncez les yeux fermés !

Die Lage ist wirklich traumhaft und nicht zu überbieten.

Der Service im Lokal war leider enttäuschend. Ich habe mein Esdrn nach 90 Mi uten bekommen, da war meine Frau schon im Zimmer. Wir musdten dann zwar dafür nichts bezahlen, aber zum ganzen tollen Ambientehat das nicht gepasst. Die Unterkunft als solches hat aber die 10 Punkte auf jeden Fall verdient und das Hotel- und Wineshoppersonal ebenfalls!

Hotel com vista fenomenal sobre o Douro! Fizemos uma visita guiada às caves, oferta da estadia , embora curta foi espetacular! As refeições podem ser feitas no terraço com vista para o rio o que torna toda a experiência ainda mais mágica. Ambiente super calmo para quem procura relaxar!

A água da piscina era mesmo muito fria...uma pena, visto o calor que se fazia sentir.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr einsam. Das ist toll für die Ruhe. Dann wäre es aber auch schön, wenn man in der Minibar oder in einem frei zugänglichen Kühlschrank noch Getränke wie Bier, Cola etc. erwerben kann. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach und es wurde nicht wieder aufgefüllt. Bei so wenigen Zimmern und dem Preis könnte man auch frische Eierspeisen anbieten. Wir fanden das Restaurant eher hochpreisig und die Portionen überschaubar. Das passt aber nicht zu dem Rest. Man sollte auch Bier anbieten auch wenn man ein Weingut ist.

C’est un endroit fabuleux ! L’hôtel est très moderne, la chambre est spacieuse et très bien équipée. La cerise sur le gâteau reste surtout la vue depuis la piscine, qui est juste incroyable ! 🤩 Vous avez également la possibilité de profiter d’une visite guidée des vignes. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une seule nuit, donc nous n’avons malheureusement pas eu le temps d’en profiter, mais c’est une activité qui doit être très sympa !

De Quinta is gelegen in een prachtige omgeving. Het uitzicht is werkelijk fenomenaal. De kamers zijn verder mooi ruim en het ontbijt is erg goed. Het personeel is ook vriendelijk. Ook is het leuk dat een gratis rondleiding door de portmakerij, bij de overnachting inzit.

Een nadeel is dat je pas om 16.00 uur kunt inchecken, zeker wanneer je maar één nacht blijft. Doordat de gratis rondleiding bij de Quinta om 17.30 uur begint, is er eigenlijk geen tijd meer om te genieten van het prachtige zwembad dat om 19.00 uur sluit. Ook is het restaurant bij de Quinta niet geweldig. Het eten is niet heel bijzonder en laat vooral heel erg lang op zich wachten. Zelfs als je het speciale “fire kitchen” menu besteld, waarvan door de bediening gezegd wordt dat het snel geserveerd kan worden. Tot slot moesten wij zoeken naar een parkeerplaats bij het hotel, die was lastig te vinden.

Could use either more complementary bottled water or would be nice if they installed a water filter for guests to fill up their own bottles. I was dehydrated the entire stay since there weren’t a lot of shops nearby to buy bottled water at!

O Restaurante o Chefe Vitor de Oliveira e o seu staff, com a verdadeira gastronomia Portuguesa. A quinta tem uma localização excecional. Os quartos e as suas varandas sobre o Douro.

Sendo a casa Kopke uma das mais antigas do Douro, essa memória não está refletida no espaço. A decoração tipo 'IKEA' não se adequa ao DOURO, tornando o espaço frio e despersonalizado. Faz falta um pequeno ginásio, um bar e um espaço de leitura e televisão, onde se possa estar quando não se está no quarto.

De accommodatie heeft een prachtig uitzicht, bij aankomst een gratis rondleiding over de Quinta en een portproeverij. Zwembad met fantastische view maar wel koud water. Vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamers en goede hygiëne.

Gehorig, hoort mensen zacht op de gang praten wanneer je in bed ligt. Minimale keuze bij ontbijt.

Sehr schönes Haus mit grossen, komfortablen Zimmern. Wunderbarer Pool. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Führung und Portweinprobe ist gratis für Hotelgäste.

Das Restaurantkonzept würde ich überdenken. Im schönen Ambiente zu gehobenen Preisen wird das empfohlen, was auch die Arbeiter zu essen bekommen. (Eintöpfe, wenn auch gut gemachte)

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very spacious, with a generous size and an excellent balcony offering a beautiful river view. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was very good, with a great selection. The visit to the vineyard and the wine tasting were also a wonderful bonus and made the stay even more special. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience.

La struttura e la posizione sono fantastiche. Ci hanno offerto un upgrade gratuito e la camera era bellissima. Piscina a sfioro con vista spettacolare, cantina e vigne che meritano il viaggio. Veramente molto molto bello.

Il ristorante è bello e il cibo buono, purtroppo però pur avendo sottolineato più volte, dalla prenotazione in poi della presenza di mia figlia, una bambina di 1 anno e mezzo.. nessuno ha risposto alla mia richiesta di un menu per bambini e questo è veramente un peccato visto il livello della struttura.

De kamer was superluxe met een groot balkon met uitzicht op De Douro. Ook ontbijt met dat uitzicht was ook heerlijk. De infinity pool was Geweldig! Leuk dat je er ook een drankje kon bestellen. Inbegrepen rondleiding en Port-proeverij is een leuke ervaring! Attent dat er ook 2 kleine portflesjes op de kamer stonden.

Wij waren minder enthousiast over het restaurant ernaast. Kleine kaart met traditionele gerechten.

Absolument tout est parfait. Vous êtes dans la carte postale du Douro, au creux des collines, au calme près de la rivière. L’emplacement est idéal. Beaucoup mieux que les grands hôtels de luxe plus près de la ville. Les chambres sont très belles, grandes terrasses sur le fleuve.

Eigenlijk beviel alles! Als er dan 1 puntje van aandacht is: het ontbijt zou iets ‘luxer’ mogen; bv verse joghurt ipv bakjes danone. Dat sluit beter aan bij de verdere ‘luxe’ uitstraling.

Le fait que l'hôtel sous-traite le restaurant, très cher et déceptif. Le petit déjeuner moyen. Pinão étant accessible seulement en voiture par une route très sinueuse, je déconseillerai de s'y rendre le soir, d'où le problème du restaurant !!

Quinta Sao Luiz liegt in einem alten Bauernhof, der für moderne Zwecke adaptiert wurde. Der Ausblick über das Douro-Tal ist atemberaubend, insbesondere, wenn man im einzigartigen Pool liegt. Diesen Pool muss man gesehen haben. Die Unterkunft selbst bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, voll klimatisiert, sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Absolute Empfehlung: das Abendessen auf der Terrasse mit persönlicher Betreuung und absolut typisch regionalem Essen und hervorragenden Weinen. Ein echtes Erlebnis!

Darauf hat das Hotel keinen Einfluss: die Anfahrt genau ansehen, Abkürzungen über Nebenstraßen unbedingt vermeiden. Abseits der Hauptverbindungen sind die "Straßen" im Dourotal auf den steilen Bergen sehr herausfordernd. Aus eigener Erfahrung.

Barulho no quarto, ouvia-se as pessoas a andar nas escadas. Pouca ou nenhuma escolha de bebidas. O jantar no restaurante foi mau: o polvo parecia pastilha, o arroz estava mal cozido; e caro. No pequeno almoço havia mosquitos na comida e o fiambre estava estragado.

Het verblijf ligt op een hele mooie locatie aan de oevers van de Douro. De kamers zijn heel netjes eb ruim. Uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt. Het avondmaal bestaat uitsluitend uit locale gerechten, dus voor sommigen kan dat een moeilijk verhaal zijn.

Het enige probleem met het verblijf is het feit dat hotel en restaurant blijkbaar door verschillende personen wordt uitgebaat. Dat zorgt voor wrevel. Zo kan je in de loop van de dag niet terecht op het terras voor een drankje of gewoon een boek te lezen omdat de eigenaar van het restaurant het terras niet wil openen. Spijtig voor de gasten dus boek zeker een kamer met terras voor je comfort.

The pool here is stunning - I've never been in a pool with such incredible views. The water was so refreshing in the heat of the valley. Also liked the complementary tour of the on-site winery, with good tastings. The room was good, and the views from the balcony are terrific.

Dinner - the setting, the price (55 Euros a head, before drinks), the dish descriptions from the waiter, the show of wearing gloves and pouring your main dish - would get you thinking you're going to have an exceptional dinner. But what we got was the exact opposite - tasteless food, and in the case of the Octopus dish - with a presentation which was insulting. This was easily the worst dinner we had in Portugal, and a direct contrast to absolutely fantastic meals we had in our 2 previous nights in Dajas Douro Valley, as a comparison. I hate writing bad reviews, but this one is due. Breakfast was not better, sorry to say. The scrambled eggs had that "I've been here for a while" crust on them, and the overall look and feel had nothing to do with what you'd expect from a hotel which charges premium prices. Considering the fact that most people coming to hotels like this prefer eating on-location, the dinning experience is something to think about.

Die Lage war grossartig, insbesondere der Pool im Weinberg. Das Personal war äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Aussicht auf das Tal des Douro ist grandios. Interessant, wenn auch ein nur kurz, war die Führung (nur für die Hotelgäste) im Weinkeller mit anschliessender Degustation von zwei Portweinen.

Das Restaurant fällt leider deutlich ab. Die Menüauswahl ist klein, die angebotenen Gerichte sehr speziell und überteuert. Auch der Preis für ein Glas Wein ist viel zu hoch. Leider konnte das Personal beim Frühstück kein englisch.

What a fantastic place to spend a few days in the Douro. The tour (included for guests) was brilliant and informative. We sampled a lot of the products and all were superb! The chef at the restaurant is so skillful. The staff were incredible, offering help, advice and knowledge. The room (with balcony) is one of the best we have ever stayed in.

There is absolutely nothing that we found that was a negative.

Das Restaurant fällt leider deutlich ab. Das Essen ist sehr fad und es fehlt die Frische. Auch ist es überteuert. Der Tomatensalat für 11 Euro (Foto) kennen wir in Portugal anders und auch die traditionellen Gerichte haben uns anderswo viel besser geschmeckt. Schade für die Quinta!

Great room, good size with large terrace looking over the spectacular Duoro River. Very helpful staff. Lovely pool and excellent breakfast though I would have liked to have sat outside. This did not seem to be an option. Great tour of the vineyard included in the stay. Beautiful location.

No pool service ( food and drinks) and a strange system where the staff appear every hour or so to deliver phone orders, no good if you want immediate service without waiting ages. I ended up walking up the hill to the restaurant and waiting for my drink and then carrying it down myself. Restaurant food was not quite up to the Duoro Valley standards though the staff were very friendly and helpful. I realise this is a seperate business, I'd suggest they improve their menu and food quality. It was also very expensive compared to other much better restaurants in the area.

Bon à savoir: Petite fenêtre sur le Douro dans la chambre qu’ils appellent « vue » sur le site web. Restaurant et salon donnent sur l’arrière. Seules la piscine et la terrasse du restaurant (lorsqu’ouvert) permettent de voir le Douro. Donc si la chambre est à l’étage 0, vue minimaliste sauf une avec terrasse sur l’arrière. Étages 1 et 2 mieux. Les touristes arrivent par autobus pour visiter les chais et le magasin. Service du restaurant laisse à désirer. Bouffe acceptable. Heureusement il a fait beau.

De locatie, het uitzicht, het zwembad en de kamer met terras zijn ronduit magnifiek. De rondleiding en tasting van het wijndomein waren tof.

Voor meer dan 300 euro per nacht mag je wel wat service verwachten en dat is niet echt het geval. Het ontbijt is basic, geen variatie, binnen in een gesloten ruimte (ondanks mooi terras) en de ontbijtbediende kon geen Engels. Ook de meeste van de baliebedienden spraken amper Engels (enkel Lily was goed). Vragen omtrent hulp over trein/dienstregeling/station en over boottripjes werden niet beantwoord, enkel een foldertje van een van de boottriporganisatoren werd gedeeld, op meer moest je niet rekenen. Ook op advies over uitstappen en zo moest je niet bij hen zijn. In het restaurant liep er tot 2x toe vanalles mis (lange wachttijden, verkeerde rekening, vergissingen in de bediening, ...). Het eten is wel lekker en als de vrouw des huis Sandra aanwezig is, is de ontvangst en beleving top en loopt alles beter/professioneler. Conclusie over het geheel, je betaalt de locatie, van service is geen sprake.

Das sehr schöne Zimmer, das herausragend freundliche Personal und der wunderschöne Pool. Außerdem war die Führung und das Portweintasting sehr informativ. Das Frühstück war auch abwechslungsreich mit lokalen Spezialitäten, Obst, Gebäck, frisch gepresstem Orangensaft und anderen leckeren Dingen.

The location and the facilities are amazing, all the staff was wonderful and extremely friendly. The hotel itself is quite intimate and with a great pool area, just what you need for a relaxing stay. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and the location gives you the very best of Douro valley.

The breakfast could be improved upon.

Dinner on property needs work…more options and better service. Our group of eight all ordered at the same time but individual dishes came to the table at various times, and one of our group was served after all others were done eating.

Very nice location with incredible view, staff very helpful and friendly, very clean rooms, need an update and walls should be soundproof as we can hear noise from next door rooms, a bit pricy for the value we get

Oh wow! Was für ein hübsches Plätzchen im ohnehin schon zauberhaften Douro Tal. Top Blick auf Weinberge und den Fluss, eine sehr schöne Führung durch den Portwein Betrieb und ein sensationelles Restaurant mit viel Geschichten und einem ausgesprochen liebenswerten Folus auf heimische Gerichte und Geschichte. Ein Erlebnis! Und eine Ruhepol, der Kraft gibt.

Great hotel with lovely rooms overlooking the Douro river. We had a terrace and enjoyed sunset outside with some wine. Pool was cold which was expected in April. Excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our included tasting at Kopke. Steep road getting up to the Quinta, as are most roads in the area.

The meal at the hotel restaurant was just ok, especially for the price.

Wartezeit auf die Vorspeise im Restaurant stark verbesserungsbedürftig. Das gebotene Essen ist gut, aber im Vergleich zu teuer. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt zu geringe Auswahl. (Ausweichen auf andere Restaurants.) Ein Tisch im Zimmer wäre perfekt.

Exceptional experience to stay at The Vine House. A small boutique Quinta with luxury rooms and attentive and welcoming staff. We were treated to a port tasting as part of our stay. Wish we had stayed a few nights rather than just one.

The restaurant is on the expensive side but comes with great views and ambience on the patio over the river.

Es war wunderschön, ruhig und landschaftlich beeindruckend. Auch das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut und regional, nicht ganz billig aber für die Qualität durchaus im Rahmen. Wir bekamen sogar ein kostenloses Zimmer-Upgrade, die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Duoro haben wir dann ausgiebig genutzt. Auch die für Hausgäste kostenlose Führung durchs Weingut war fein.

The vineyard and complimentary tasting was a great introduction to the Douro Valley. The view from the patio was beautiful and peaceful.

Restaurant food - both dinner and complimentary breakfast were disappointing. Breakfast was basic and the coffee from a machine was the worst we had in Portugal. Expect packaged cereal/yogurts and some continental style food (scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, bread). Pool was not clean and not heated so not useable in April even though air temperature was warm.
