Hotel Rural Quinta Do Pego

The hotel is immaculately clean and in a location that offers stunning views. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant with superb local wines.

The approach road to the hotel is extremely steep and unsuitable for a large motorcycle.

The best view from a swimming pool we have ever seen . Erica and all the staff were fantastic. The hotel has another restaurant/bar 5 minutes drive away , it’s amazing and you sit right beside the river .

Very nice dinner menu , calm location, great pool, river and graves view. Nice people.

The final street from the main road to the hotel are narrow. You need to know the size of your car well to reach it and not to loose a car mirror;-)

La posizione è fantastica, c'è una bellissima vista si vigneti e sul fiume Douro; la colazione è nella norma, cè tutto quello che serve per una buona colazione.

E’ una bellissima struttura immersa nei vigneti ed ha una vista sul fiume Douro imbattibile; la piscina a sfioro è molto suggestiva. Il personale è giovane e preparato. Consigliato.

The view was insanely beautiful! Gorgeous pool, comfortable room with view of valley and river. Food was the best we had on our trip to Portugal! Good value for a seriously luxury experience.

Wundervolles Personal, aussergewöhnliche Lage. Tolles Bett und Zimmer. Sehr schön ist das Frühstück auf der Terrasse (nur 2-er Tische) mit Blick auf das Panorama des Douros. Super Poolanlage! Wir durften den senior Patron kennen lernen und hatten zwei unterhaltsame, wunderbare Abende genossen. Ein grosses Dankeschön an das gesamte Team, speziell Philipp!

The hotel is exceptionally clean and feels like a five-star hotel. The sweeping river view and the surrounding winery over the mountains were an amazing experience. And the staff are very friendly. The food is also excellent.

The fact that two single bed put together were a bit of a let-down for us.

Exceptional property. Stay here if you can! We spent three nights post-Camino Frances, and after 750km, this was the perfect place to rest and recharge. The pool was heavenly, and with only 10 rooms, we had it to ourselves mostly. The staff is wonderful, the service is friendly and they made us feel special. Onsite dining is delicious and made it so we didn’t have to leave for 28 hours! Loved this stay, it’s world class.

Netflix or better TV would have been nice. If you drive, make sure you have a small vehicle, the drive up is narrow!

La situation, le calme, la beauté du paysage,le douro ,les vignes La cuisine sur place, les promenade dans les vignes La proximité du douro la plus belle partie a voir nous sommes resté 5 nuit et avons put profité de la belle piscine a débordement et des belle terrasses

La montée pour y arrivé très raide et passage 1 seul voiture il y a un feu rouge qui est pas toujours respecté rencontre de véhicule très ennuyeux

Et utroligt høgt kvalitetsnivå, både på vørelser og restauranten. Hjælpsomt og hyggeligt personale.

Wunderschönes Weingut in spektalulärer Lage. Das Abendessen war nicht billig, aber jeden Cent wert. Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr schön angelegter Garten mit Blick auf den Douro. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

A hotel in a vineyard . Beautiful.

I’m almost hesitant to say how happy we were with this great place, fearing of course an invasion of other demanding clients - everything just right , the Nordic owners add a sense of structured control and the Portuguese staff added warmth and excellent cooking and effective help during our stay!

The staff was so friendly. The food was excellent. 10/10 breakfast.

Two days in a perfect place: the hotel, its magnificent location , hiking on the beautiful hills of Douro river valley, vineyard and excellent wines, autumn colours and sunshine - it could not have been better. Service was great by the friendly staff, you could feel that they are there just for you. Excellent breakfast and dinner, too. Thank you so much, you made best of our holiday !

The location was on the side of a hill overlooking the Douro River. It was absolutely beautiful! The breakfast was good; they provided fruit, meat, cheese, eggs, bacon, breads and pastries. Very complete.

The pictures on the website are great. When you are actually there it is more stunning than the photos. It’s absolutely fabulous & one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Staff are enthusiastic, friendly & very professional. Dinner was memorable & breakfast was excellent. You are able to order drinks & snacks at the amazing pool for reasonable prices.

גישה למלון מאתגרת ביותר דרך שביל ארוך סלול צר מפותל ומשופע מאד. גישה לא נוחה לחדר עם המזוודות מהחניה וגם מנקודת הכניסה למלון שממנה יד לטפס בכעשר מדרגות. החדר קטן יחסית. העיצוב מיושן ארוחת הבוקר לא מגוונת, בסגנון ארוחת בוקר קונטיננטלית .

Location is amazing sounded by vineyards and the river view. The rooms are nice and comfortable, great pool for hot days, and breakfast was delicious. Staff was very kind and helpful. Great snacks to the pool along the day and finally the wine tasting was very good.

Rooms decor is a bit dated. Getting in with the car and park could be more organised - lights, marking etc Dinner was nice but pricy

Location is amazing and having the breakfast on the terrace outside with such a view is something unique. Appreciate the kindness and professionalism of all staff and especially of Erica (front desk) on the flexibility with our reservation. Dinner is on the high end in terms of quality and appearance - local products at the level of fine dining. Appreciate the wine tasting offered to guest and the dedication of staff to explain the different wine grapes and types. Advise to try the LBV port produced in loco!

Amazing views and a great pool

Steep road up to the hotel

Wonderful location with a clean spacious hotel and great staff. Pool was a good size too. The evening meal is totally underplayed. “A meal can be arranged” had me thinking that it would be chicken nuggets heated up. But this was a pre booked gourmet meal by a great chef. They also added wine parings. Excellent food! Breakfast was generous with lots of choice.

My room quoted as having a river view but that was from the bathroom (naughty). Warning, access is by a single car road with a traffic light system. Nothing to worry about, tricky on a motorcycle
