Property is a bit remote so we struggled to get Ubers to get around. Better to hire a car.

Viele Stufen bis zur Unterkunft. So schlimm ist das aber nicht. Dafür bekommt man den Ausblick.

Alles was zelfs nog beter dan we ons herinnerden! We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in een prachtige omgeving, vlakbij de stad Paarl! De vriendelijkheid van de eigenaren werd alleen overtroffen door die van het personeel 🫶

Mooi verblijf in een mooie omgeving. Het uitzicht was schitterend en de braai / BBQ faciliteiten waren leuk.

Vrij afgelegen, maar wel een leuk restaurant op loopafstand beneden aan de poort. Als je een huurauto hebt is het allemaal goed te doen (bijv Babylonstoren op circa 15min).

Helles und freundliches Ferienhaus im Weinland am Westkap, mit weitem Blick in die Landschaft von einer perfekten Veranda. Gute Ausstattung. Schöne Gesamtanlage in ruhiger Lage. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Sehr nettes deutsches Management. Alles funktioniert.

Very adveridge accomodation Saw staff for maybe 2 minutes when we booked in We were there for 4 days

The basin didn't drain the water properly took at least 20 mins for it to drain. We had to ask for loo paper as it wasn't replaced. The du et cover was too small for the size of the bed.

Noise from traffic Trucks pulling up the h ill all nday and night. No facilities at all. Only a swimming pool. Cottage dark and dingy. Pictures on the web site are very misleading.kitchen not big enoigh to get two people in. Its tiny. More like a cupboard with a gas burner. Electrician sockets 9 inches above the sink and at the side of the sink in the bathroom...Very dangerous... Nothing god to say about the place.

There was no breakfast, location was okay

Photos and actual room were deceiving. No smart tv, WiFi was quite slow. Pillow had stains and bed was uncomfortable

Все супер! Локация потрясающая, виды вокруг невероятные! Просто выходишь босиком из своего номера и наслаждаешься! Сам номер очень стильный, все продумано до мелочей, есть абсолютно все необходимое от винных бокалов до полотенец. Очень приятная хозяйка и персонал! А еще на территории живут прекрасные собаки - это моя отдельная любовь, очень ласковые и дружелюбные. Тосковало по этому месту больше всего когда уехали. Обязательно еще вернемся если будем в тех краях

Super hot and AC not working in the room

Panoramic mountain setting amidst wonderfully planted slopes. The privacy of a generous veranda overlooking Paarl, stunning sunsets and decent sized pool.

The parking was not good at all. I think the interior was a little outdated.

Super beautiful views of the Paarl Valley. Loved the art in my little house. Felt like I stayed in an art gallery.

Absolutely loved the views and oh ofcourse the pool. This is where we spent most of our time.

The mosquitos and scary men made out of metal tins. Got me each time I went to the pool at night.

Невероятно живописное расположение отеля, очень красивая природа. Номер был очень стильный, уютный, просторный. Была очень удобная кровать, постельное, полотенца белые, мягкие, все было на высшем уровне. Хозяйка очень гостеприимная.

De locatie. Mooi tuin met afwisselende beplanting en vogels. Keuken en inrichting van het huis.

Bij aankomst aangebeld, aan de gesloten poort. Echter reageerde er niemand. Naar het restaurant gereden, zij hebben gezorgd dat de poort openging. Piepend ledikant.

This place is absolutely amazing. We’ve had the most wonderful time here and would not hesitate to recommend it to absolutely everyone. A special mention needs to be said about the staff who are so friendly and so helpful as are the owners. It’s impossible not to enjoy your time here, it is a very special place. The outdoor shower is an absolute treat and very easy access to the swimming pool makes it especially wonderful,

Loved everything about it especially as it is so close to all the shops, vineyards and amazing restaurants.

A lovely place - the cottage had everything we needed, views were beautiful and a good location - nice and close to Paarl which was perfect.

We found it difficult to access the property on the Friday but this was due to a problem with the internet/intercom that was beyond the properties control. Was all fixed by the next day.

Eine Unterkunft mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Ausgefallene Kunstwerke schmücken die Wohnräume und der große Gartenbereich ist ebenfalls mit Kunstobjekten versehen. Sehr netter Empfang und sehr freundliches Personal. Der Pool im Garten lädt zum Schwimmen ein. Wunderschöne Aussichten.

Man sollte gut zu Fuß sein, denn die Wege sind steil, da es sich um ein Hanggrundstück handelt. Dies ist aber keine Kritik sondern nur ein Hinweis.

What absolutely beautiful accommodation in Berg 1 wow it was so spacious inside the unit and the verandah was L shaped right around the unit and the views of Du Toitskloof Pass absolutely stunning. From our unit you can start walking straight up the mountain through a lovely forest it was fantastic. Helga was so helpful and friendly. With all the appliances in the unit you could see it was all well maintained and in perfect working order. We loved our own outside private shower too. It was 10mins to the Cecelia Road Mall with restaurants and shops it was a large Mall. There is a restaurant there as well and we had a full English breakfast which was exceptional what a chef!! The service was the best too.

The one and only tiny thing that could be upgraded is the shower - the temperature was difficult to control, which could be uncomfortable in winter, and water pressure was extremely low, but this did not impact our stay at all!

I felt like we were in a fish tank, massive ‘window doors’, yes we could see the lights of Paarl, as seen on the website, but also every car that drove in and parked next to our unit, people who walked past could see in, no curtains at all, meant no privacy in lounge section, or the access from bed to bathroom.

Nice location in the forest above Paarl with very friendly staff. Got upgraded for free to bigger accommodation.

Some noise from freeway can be heard especially at night.

This is a fine well run establishment that is well equipped and clean. The cleaning services staff have obviously been very well trained and were friendly, responsive and helpful. Daily service with changes of towels as needed was up to guest house standards never mind self catering. The deep patio on two sides of the property allows movement to maximise shade as needed and also allow maximise enjoyment of the views.

The absence of a washing machine. As this was the last week of our trip to SA it was not an issue but at any other time it would have been. This is not really a comment about this property itself but does perhaps need saying for the benefit of future guests, The Paarl region can get very warm often 5/6C higher than Cape Town with no cooling coastal breeze. These properties are very much open to the sun and have glass on two sides so at the peak 4/5 hours of the day it can be difficult to get away from the sun. Conversely it is possible to sit on the patio at 06.30 with a morning cuppa and watch the sun creep across the valley below as the sun rises over the mountain behind you. Similarly sitting on the patio in the evening as the sun sets and much later with a nice glass of SA red wine watching the twinkling lights of Paarl in the valley below does offset those hot hours.

Beautiful scenery and gardens, friendly staff, the expensive antique furniture in the chalet completes the luxurious experience

Clean and comfortable bed. Nice surroundings. Lovely pool. Very friendly staff and host.

The studio where we stayed is not very private. The main door, all glass, had no curtain or blind. Everybody walked straight outside our door. A little lace curtain would do the trick.

Everything was perfect, really picturesque, clean, lovely hosts! Has everything you need and is close enough to all the beautiful things to do in the wine lands. If you plan to use uber just book them a bit in advance and it should be fine

Could provide a bit more facilities for food or beverages since the restaurants close by are so lala.

The location is lovely and it is very peaceful. We loved the on site restaurant and the owners of the restaurant were both extremely warm and welcoming and made us feel at home.

It would be great if small amenities like a bit of cooking oil, and filter coffee for the coffee machine could be provided. Would also be a nice idea to include breakfast as an optional extra for the booking. The bedding (duvet) was not very comfortable and unfortunately the WIFI was not working inside the cottage and could only be accessed by going outside to the porch..

Amberg Country Estate is the most serene place I have stayed in, in a long time: it was just so ideal! We stayed for 5 nights in the ‘Garden House’: a rather small self-catering cottage with a beautiful terrace (and braai area) from which you have an amazing view over the town and winelands of Paarl. The nearby Paarl Nature Reserve is a fantastic reserve with endless possibilities for walking. At the bottom of the Estate is a restaurant, called FarmBoyCuisine, which is outstanding and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. On top of all these wonderful things, features the owner Helga : she is the sweetest host you can imagine! More than recommended!

The entire place was an absolute pleasure and delight. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and it was exactly as described on the website. Loved the outside shower it was a fantastic suprise private but beautiful and so clean.

Baboons but that comes with the territory and the helper assisted us with good advise and we were not impacted by them I'm just scared of them. The inside shower needs hot water but that was augmented by the lovely outside shower.

Simple folding luggage racks to place suitcases on will make a huge difference if one is not doing a long stay. A small container of milk in the fridge will be great for guests arriving before having done shopping.

The location was ideal for our destination. Beautiful and safe environment.

The location and view were very beautiful.

It wasn’t so clear to us that the studio we booked was in the middle of other areas of the property, as many of the photos online show the other apartments that are standalone/detached units. Since the studio does not have curtains for the large windows of the living room and from 8am staff and other guests would regularly pass by the front area, it felt like we had little privacy.

It was incredible! Best views. I prefer to stay here over Franschhoek as the views are nicer and it's more in the mountains. I can't say enough about the place. Give the piano in the common area a try, it's lovely. Will be back for sure

Set in beautiful surroundings, very conveniently situated just outside Paarl. Our lodges were super clean and styled very tastefully and plenty of room

We loved everything about it - a little road noise on the terrace but nothing that spoilt our enjoyment

It is a absolute gorgeous place with the most beautiful view over Paarl from the foot of the mountains above Du Toitskloof pass. Not self catering, but I was given a mobile braai when I asked with no issues. Very friendly people with a lot of overseas guests making the experience interesting. Swimming pool in a beautiful spot with suntan chairs and a balcony for a nightcap at the room.

They advertise a restaurant that is currently not available since the chef when back overseas, so had to go find breakfast somewhere else. Not an issue, since i planned to do so anyway, but might be a problem for some not ready for it.

Amazing area with fantastic views to the mountains and the city. The hosts were really great, always very kind and supporting in any case, much appreciated!

The view is breathtaking. I am here the second time and just love it. The modern look and feel of Talsicht cottage 1 is enchanting. The outside shower is fantatic. Looking forward to the next stay. Helga is a very caring host.

Fabulous location with stunning views, beautiful cottages to stay in. The owners Helga and Bernd are wonderful hosts, we really enjoyed our stay there and will go back again one day

I liked that the rooms where clean and such a great location. A bottle of water was also provided which was amazing because it was super hot.

I had 2 single beds which made a queen bed but it kept moving apart but it was overall a comfy bed.

Great location with views of the Paarl mountains, clean and comfortable room. The pool was lovely and refreshing given the hot weather. Helga was a very welcoming host.

The room could be upgraded a bit - the decor is quite dated and there were nails sticking out of the balcony decking, which could be risky.
