Die Gebäude im Kolonialstil sind wunderschön, alles sehr gepflegt. toller Pool. Schade, dass wir nur 2 Tage gebucht hatten.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Die Zufahrt ist sehr einladend und verspricht viel, was gehalten wird. Ein wunderschönes altes Anwesen mit super netten Mitarbeitern und einem sehr netten Chef. Daan ist mit viel Liebe bei der Sache. Amy nahm uns in Empfang und sorgte dafür, dass wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl fühlten. Lieben Dank Amy 🤗 Wir hatten ein klassik Zimmer zum Hof. Sehr geräumig, Das Bett groß und sehr bequem. Das Bad sehr sauber, gepflegt und eine riesige Dusche 👍 Terrasse ist schön und ruhig. Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und in tollem Zustand. Einkaufen, andere Restaurants sind mit dem Auto erreichbar. Es ist sehr ruhig und sicher gelegen. Das Frühstück ist super. Top Qualität und alles frisch, auch der Orangensaft. Das Restaurant haben wir nicht genutzt, da uns die Zeit fehlte, bzw. wir vorab zu viel gegessen haben. Wenn wir wieder in die Gegend kommen wir gerne wieder.
Da gibt es nicht viel, außer vielleicht, dass wir zu wenig Zeit hatten und Spülmittel und Geschirrhandtuch wäre praktisch gewesen. Evtl. eine Ablage näher an der Dusche.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026A real hidden gem in Paarl that we hope more people find. Though we were the only guests one of the three nights we stayed kitchen was fully open for pizza night. That we also could try a couple of new wines for the coming menu just added on to the positive experience. Excellent breakfast with a large plate of fresh fruits and berries as well as warm prepared plate. Full attention for a gluten free person.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Quiet location. Beautiful garden and trees. Spacious rooms. Safe parking. We were the only guests, so the restaurant was closed but we could order a small snack for supper. We had coffee under the beautiful oak trees until 20h00. so peaceful. Very comfortable beds and bedding.
There were a bit of damp in the rooms. It was quite cold when we arrived and the heaters, underfloor heating and aircon was not on. Took a while to warm the room to be comfortable.

Die Zimmer im "Stable" sind vom Weg einsehbar. Um etwas privater zu sein muss man die Vorhänge verschließen und hat somit keinerlei Ausblick. Mam lebt zwar auf einem Weingut, es gibt aber keine Weinproben.

Schöne, historische Anlage mit Restaurant, Bar und vielen Möglichkeiten, am Abend bei einem Glas Wein die Atmosphäre zu genießen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, das Frühstück mit frischem Obst und frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen sehr anständig.
Die Sauberkeit ließ hier und da etwas zu wünschen übrig. Wir hatten das Pech, daß mehrere Familien mit (sehr lauten) Kindern vor Ort waren. Da die Räume sehr hellhörig sind war dieser Umstand etwas nervig. Das Restaurant ist eher durchwachsen - einige Gerichte waren sehr gut, andere unterdurchschnittlich.

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026We loved this place so much, the best stay we had in south africa. The staff is so welcoming and sweet, the staff went above and beyond to make us and our infant have a great stay.
Everything was super, there was only quite alot of noise from construction/work on the property so not completely relaxing by the pool area but it may have only been during our stay and not constant.

Breakfast can be a bit more expansive, especially the buffet part (no breads and spreads for example). Cars can perhap be parked outside the main area, as they disturb the views on the original house and the tranquility in general.

Leeuwenhof is prima gelegen om daguitstappen te doen, er liggen prachtige wijndomeinen vlakbij !

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026Stefan was very welcoming and helpful. The walk around the estate was enjoyable. The pool area is good, and the staff are friendly. Would be much enhanced if the complex could draw on its surroundings, not lock them out.
Paarl has spectacular scenery, but you can't see much from inside the complex, it felt very enclosed. From my personal perspective, it needs more greenery around the rooms. The family area has a lawn area, but the adult only block doesn't, it felt somewhat enclosed and featureless. The lamp in the room was faulty, it was supposed to be sorted the first night, that didn't happen. We mentioned it on the second, the lamp was removed by Tessa and note replaced. I messaged Tessa about this, but didn't receive any response. Such a simple thing to remedy, disappointing. We are country people, and enjoy greenery and nature, and this accommodation didn't make the best of its environment IMO.

One of the highlights for us as parents, was the playground and the mini zoo?/Farm.. our kids absolutely loved seeing the rabbits, chickens, sheep, and geese. It truly feels like a perfect nest for families with children. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was exceptional every day. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, and we would happily return. Highly recommended for families!

Das Essen im Restaurant Abends hat ziemlich gedauert. Die Pizza war ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Eier zum Frühstück haben auch etwas gedauert, je nachdem wieviele Gäste gerade bestellt haben.

Reviewed Dec 31, 2025The staff made the property and the stay was very enjoyable. I was also able to meet the owners including the father, son and daughter. I love farm animals It was a great highlight. The pool was enjoyable just to sit and relax to read a book and have some wine or lunch.
I did not like the cleanliness of the room, My standards are high coming from the hotel industry, which is very important when feeling comfortable and the total value of my stay.. I did address it with the management team in which they addressed it with the staff, but no other action was taken.

Reviewed Nov 26, 2025Ganz tolle gepflegte Anlage zum Erholen. Super nette Gastgeber und sehr freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und auch das Restaurant ist zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

While breakfast was fine the evening options were not great Room was comfortable and essentials worked - ac / showers / tv etc but did have a slightly musty / damp smell - but the property is very historic so maybe hard to avoid

Ideally located to visit the wine region, please do not forget the local vineyards, including Fairview and Spice Route…recommended by the staff and we felt it capture our experience in the wine region totally…
When it was Windy, we were unable to use the fire pit and sit under the stars…

Reviewed Nov 10, 2025De bedden en het zwembad en onze auto werd keurig gewassen, heel fijn! Het personeel is heel aardig. De pizzas waren heerlijk en het ontbijt ook lekker met veel vers fruit!
Misschien wat flessen water, een koekje bij de koffie of een welkoms drankje. Verder was alles prima in orde.
