Everyone and everything was fantastic
No handles on bath
Everything! The Castle is a dream, but the staff was the most thoughtful and helpful that I came across in a long time.

Fantastic staff. Very helpful and friendly. Great accommodation and superb breakfast

I have stayed at Hever many times and have always enjoyed my stays there. My favourite thing to do is walk around the grounds after hours. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful and it is nice immersing yourself in nature and watching the wildlife around you. The staff are always friendly and helpful (To name a few - Tegan, Deepak, Darren, Emily and others I have met along the way). The rooms are always to high standard and I love that you get free drinks and biscuits in the rooms. The breakfasts are always very tasty, set in a lovely dining room. There is also a bar now which is very stylish. The staff in the shops in the grounds are lovely and as I'm a regular now, I always like to go and feed the ducks and the lady (Kirsty) who serves me duck food from the information booth is always a joy to talk to. The castle has always been a highlight and the staff are very knowledgeable with their historical facts. I love seeing the gardens early in the morning and in the evening as the sun is setting. The castle is also stunning when it's lit up in the dark. There is a lounge to sit and relax in with a fireplace which creates a cosy feel and also the courtyard is lovely to sit in, especially on summer nights. The rooms are spacious and each room is different and quirky. Another enjoyable stay. Hever is an enchanting and magical place to stay. Definetely a place fit for a queen. You will not be disappointed.
Stunning place to stay, clean, comfortable and very special.

The staff are so helpful and friendly, the breakfast delicious and so much choice. Being able to walk around after the grounds are closed to the public is so relaxing and a nice bonus
That you are unable to buy a bottle of wine at the bar. It makes it very expensive if you want more than 1 glass of wine.
Everything!
Leaving 😱

The staff was so nice - both at the castle and at the B&B. We are already planning on returning next year.

Such a brilliant historic setting, very comfy, and beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly. We loved having free access to the Castle and grounds during our stay. The breakfast was excellent and very plentiful. Fabulous stay. Thank you.
Nothing. It was all great.

Stunning property and grounds. Exceptional staff and facilities. Breakfast was delicious and the free entry to the castle and gardens was an added bonus. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay!
That we couldn't have stayed longer!
What a treat. The castle is beautiful, immaculate and renovated to a high, modern facilities, standard. The rooms are fabulous. The staff are attentive and friendly. The inclusive access to the rest of the castles site make this both an enjoyable stay as well as affordable experience.
The whole stay was perfect.
No hesitation in rating this as a 10. We had a good-sized room ("Bramley" in the Anne Boleyn wing) that was very comfortable. It took me a while to master the sophisticated lighting controls but that was my fault. We could sit outside in a pleasant courtyard and enjoy the billiard room and guest lounge. Breakfast was very good but we remarked chiefly on the excellent service. Indeed, all the staff we met (reception, breakfast and so on) were wonderful. One young lady in particular (wish I could remember her name!) went out of her way to show us the art-work, And of course, part of the delight is being able to walk around the grounds before the day visitors arrive, although you have to wait for normal opening hours to visit the castle itself. You can mentally deduct the castle admission price from the room rate and see that it represents very good value. It attracts a nice class of traveller, no riff-raff.
Location outlay
Room very small My son rang to explain it was an Anniversary trip and could you put something in the room Nothing he was very disappointed
A return visit to Hever Castle Luxury Bed and Breakfast which never disappoints in such a lovely setting . We were upgraded on check-in and stayed in The Astor Wing Acanthus which was well situated , lovely furnishings and bathroom A nice addition of The William Waldorf bar since our last visit Staff always very professional and friendly
Everything was as I’ve come to expect from this accommodation The only suggestion would be a later checkout as standard for guests
Amazing to walk around the grounds after day visitors have left. Loved the new bar. Enjoyed billiards and chess in the lounge. We had robes and slippers in the room. Lovely welcome card. We stayed one night and received tickets to the castle and grounds for both days plus 10% discount in the shops and restaurants. We were able to have a little photo shoot in the gardens with a tripod. I messaged the hotel to check this was ok beforehand. We stayed in the Permain bedroom. There’s so much to do you could stay for 2 nights. Lovely breakfast included.
Could do with more evening food options or nibbles in the bar. The loggia was closed unfortunately in the evening. No shower cap or vanity kits provided in the bathroom. No instant coffee in the room but they did provide a cafetière and coffee sachet for this. Early check out of 10:30am.
Room was superb, spotlessly clean and comfortable. staff was exceptionally kind and helpful and made you feel very welcome. We reserved a table in the Michelin starred Eden Restaurant and the food was just outstanding. Service was great and the Sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and the wines he recommended for the meal were just excellent. Many superlatives I know but it was indeed great experience.
There was nothing at all we didn't like, it was all super.
A beautiful location- who wouldn't want to stay in luxury accommodation with views over an iconic castle. Access to the grounds "out of hours" was a real treat.
Staff walkie talkies on loud during breakfast made it hard to communicate. Suggest they are left in the kitchen ?
Wonderful location of Boleyn Wing in Castle grounds. Characterful furnishing and decor. Superb bathroom.Excellent breakfast. Lovely courtyard for evening drinks. The outstanding aspect was that guests have freedom to explore the castle grounds after closing time.
The weather was very hot. Unsurprisingly, the room had no air conditioning, and the one window faced the afternoon and evening sun. Visitors should request a room that does not face the afternoon sun, if the weather is likely to be hot. At most times of year, this would not matter.
Everything, attention to detail, quality and the overall atmosphere.
The walk from b&b all the way around to the castle. There's a gate that would allow a quicker access from one to the other but it's not available for use according to the a board but no idea why not.
Lovely location! Lovely room! Breakfast was excellent!
Very clean and comfortable. Location was great.
Possibly a shortcut to the grounds that didn’t take us through the carpark.
The property is gorgeous and in such a special location.
The room was fine. I had a single room and it was pretty tight. It was very hot weather and there was little air coming into the room. They did provide a fan but it made sleeping a bit difficult.
Everything was just fabulous….. we stayed in the Willow Suite which was beautiful. Staff were great and very polite. We will definitely go back and stay again.
Absolutely nothing to dislike.
Lovely rooms with Tudor style decor. Plenty of teas and coffees in the room. Helpful reception staff. Very clean and breakfast was great.
The heat was stifling as there is no air conditioning. I really struggled to sleep and the two fans provided didn’t really help much.
The staff were very friendly, the room and setting was just lovely..So quiet. Quality food and wonderful breakfast.
We really can't think of anything, fantastic stay.
We came for our anniversary to visit heaver and to see the anne bolyn exhibition. Our room was so lovely. The courtyard was fabulous, The staff were friendly and I just had the nicest time. The castle was incredible, highly recommend staying
Breakfast, staff and the history.
Nothing.
Where do I start? I am a regular traveller and have been lucky to have sampled a wide variety of accommodation over many years here and abroad. This must surely rank as one of the best
The room was a little dark, but only because it was built with small windows in keeping with the castle and other buildings. So, we just switched on the lights during the day.
Whats not to like, its history in a package. The breakfast was of a good standard we were lucky it was held in the grand hall.
Entrance not clear or inviting, no clear signage, no cooling system in bedrooms, no mini fridge, no slippers, no food available after 5.30, not enough info about getting to and exiting grounds, reception not always maned, no pick up service from station.
Breakfast was fabulous with good service and fabulous surroundings sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the castle
Nothing, everything was perfect
Camera molto elegante e confortevole.
Very friendly staff. Loved the access to the grounds.
Room pearmain - looked directly over moat to castle. Fabulously decorated with antiques and good blend of complimentary modern. Great comfy bed
Lighting in room weird 4 lamps 2 chandeliers 6 modern doe lighters Only able to have ALL on at same time so like Blackpool illuminations or complete darkness !!! Bit bonkers
Very clean and tidy. Beautiful setting and surroundings.
Nothing.
It felt like a dream. Superb hotel, combining beautiful vintage design with contemporary technologies. Fabulous castle grounds, to which you have access outside of normal opening hours. Billiards! Excellent communication from the hotel - it allowed me to plan my visit to the castle and book dinner in advance (at Henry VIII, totally recommend). Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic tea/coffee/chocolate set in the room. Molton Brown products smell so good. Castle ticket is complimentary to the room booking.
Everything was really amazing. I would only say a bit clearer communication on how hot dishes are organized at breakfast. Not super easy to get there without a car. You either need to walk from the train station for about 30 min or call a cab, which are expensive there (20-25 pounds for a 10-minute ride). If you are a group of people and go from London, it may be cheaper to call a taxi for the whole journey.

The fact we could enjoy the castle grounds early in the morning and in the evening. The tutor village is lovely to stay in the decor and buildings are beautiful.

Overall absolutely perfect
Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect
A very lovely hotel. Especially we can visit the garden quietly after the visitors left. It is a hotel can stay again and stay a bit longer.
No
Service was excellent throughout from the nice lady on reception (apologies I have forgotten her name and did not want to guess), Martin who talked us through the map of the building and grounds, and Nicola (??) who were all so helpful. Adequacy of the parking.
Nothing!
We loved staying in the castle grounds. Everything was perfect!
Nothing we didn’t like!
Fantastic room, great service, out of hours access to the grounds, bar and courtyard.

Absolutely beautiful place
Lage - und die Stilechte Ausstattung

Lovely room in history castle.
Room was hot as no AC.
Perfect for a few days away! The jousting tournament was the highlight of my visit. Wonderful mojitos and a full English breakfast with proper bacon!
A little fridge would have been useful.
I’ve just returned from what was genuinely the best birthday I’ve ever had in all of my 37 years, and I honestly can’t recommend Hever Castle enough. We stayed in the beautiful Lavender Room, which was absolutely stunning. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and, as someone who really struggles to sleep, I slept like a baby – which is incredibly rare for me. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every single member of staff was impeccable, warm and welcoming. A special mention has to go to James, the barman, who made some incredible cocktails and was so friendly and personable. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with plenty of choice and everything cooked to perfection. One of the biggest surprises was discovering that our stay included full access to both the castle grounds and the house. It made the whole experience feel even more magical. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Henry VIII pub before wandering through the breathtaking gardens late into the evening, and then again the following morning. Seeing the grounds when they were so peaceful was something I’ll never forget. As someone who has always been fascinated by Tudor history, this was a dream trip. It was also a very emotional one. My late grandad shared my love of the Tudors and would have absolutely loved to visit Hever Castle, but sadly he never had the chance. Being there made me think of him throughout the stay, and in a way it felt like I was experiencing a little piece of history for both of us. Thank you to everyone at Hever Castle for making my birthday so incredibly special. It created memories I’ll treasure forever, and I already can’t wait to return.
Nothing. Literally NOTHING . Amazing place
The beautiful and historic location , the friendly and cheerful staff who made our stay enjoyable ,comfortable and gave us valuable information about the castle.
Beautiful setting, lovely breakfast, attractive decor
The Non-air-conditioned rooms are not suited to the extreme heat that we had while staying there. There wasn’t enough ventilation or airflow to cool the room down. Our room was 31°, and very difficult to sleep.
Room was super and air conditioning was a bonus in the Anne Boleyn section. All staff were very friendly and we thought Connor in the bar was delightful. A young man with charm and politeness. Breakfast was super as were the breakfast staff.
Nothing to report. What’s not to like! The walk round the gardens and tour of
Ligging
Erg warm
Setting, quality, presentation and staff all fantastic. Access to the grounds out of hours was wonderful on a warm summers evening. Breakfast was delicious and the courtyard bar a real treat.
If I had to be picky, it’s a shame about the Gatwick flightpath (not noticeable inside the hotel)
LOVED THE GARDENS, THE DINNING ROOM , THE STAFF- ESPECIALLY STEVEN AT THE RECEPTION; IT WAS ALL WELL KEPT . .AND BEAUTIFUL, THE PAECE AND QUIET, THE DIFFERENT ROOMS, THE DECOR THE FACT WE COULD WALK AROUND THE PREMISES . THAT THE TICKETS TO HEVER CASTLE WERE COMPLIMENTRY
WE LIKED IT ALL !!. I WOULD PREFFER A ROOM WITH A VIEW AND A MINI BAR
Beautiful and very clean everywhere. All the staff were super polite. Grounds are beautifully maintained.
Fresh lilys, only because I’m allergic to them and there were several bouquets around, I love the smell but it doesn’t like me 🤣
Everything
Loved everything
The room and breakfast were great. The fact that we had access to the castle and grounds for the two days of our stay was amazing and so generous. We loved it.
There was nothing that we did not like.
Beautiful buildings sumptuous surroundings and very comfortable
Nothing really
We absolutely loved our stay here, it was a last minute decision and I'm just thrilled that we did. We stayed in the Astor Wing, and the room was bright, comfy and nicely decorated. LOVED having access to the castle grounds after everyone else has left, it was magical. The staff were sooo helpful, friendly and accommodating. Having a glass of wine in the courtyard in the evening, amongst the flowers, listening to the fountain, absolute bliss. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique stay, and if you love history, this is a must. Beautiful gardens, and a wonderful (vegan, yay!) breakfast.
It was all perfect for us! Absolutely no complaints! 2 handy things to know - the Astor Wing doesn't have aircon, and you can't get an evening meal here, so do plan ahead. Plenty of nice pubs around though.
Beautiful and peaceful retreat away from the chaos of London.
Suggestion to serve light food in the pub in the evening.
The Edward VII suite in the Anne Boleyn wing was beautiful and located nearest the castle affording wonderful views from the lounge area from the suite. The experience in the bar was fantastic only made better by James the barman. Exceptional service and a credit to Hever.
Breakfast quality was very good. The organisation of breakfast could have been improved. No glasses for juice, despite guests asking and having to ask and then stand waiting. Tables offered to guests in the main thoroughfare by the breakfast food is not favourable and whilst there several guest declined to sit amongst the busy 'traffic' of eager breakfast guests! The pastries had no covers so when I went to see the selection I was met by the sight of several flies sitting and crawling over the pastry selections. Shame. They looked very good. Jam pots knocked on the floor by staff and not picked up. Sent the wrong impression.
beautiful place and great in the summer evening. v special
Excellant breakfast superb location
Possible food available for late arrivals, having got lost we were very hungry, and even the local pub kitchen closed at 8 oclock . Wr arrived at 19.45.
A very special place…. Felt very spoilt and pampered. An amazing experience if you like Tudor history like I do. To stay on the grounds of the castle and experience it without the tourists… a dream of a lifetime fulfilled.
Exceptional location and stunning grounds
Location was amazing, breakfast and tickets for castle included
My husband had the gluten free full English breakfast, but was disappointed with what he was given. He had two rashers of streaky bacon, hash brown, baked beans, half a tomato and half a mushroom. He had to ask for an egg as none was given and no idea why he was only given half a mushroom. The lack of sausage and black pudding was not made up with other items.
A|ll very good
Perhaps the bathroom, no grab rail as shower was in bath
We stayed in Lavender Room in the Astor wing. The room was luxurious and in keeping with the historical surroundings, super comfortable bed, spotlessly clean. The dining hall where breakfast was served was grand and we felt like we had slipped back in time. The castle itself was amazing and so well preserved, an interesting audio guided tour. The grounds were meticulously cared for by staff who were cheerful and informative. We only stayed for one night but it was a real treat, we can’t wait to return. We ate locally at the Henry, followed by an evening stroll through the castle grounds after the day visitors had left, it was so tranquil. An exclusive dining experience has just been launched by renowned chef, George Blogg. We were fortunate to be shown the new dining room by George and we were impresssed by his knowledge, enthusiasm and talent. Next time we visit we will be sure to book a table, we think bookings will be in demand.
Cardboard cups for tea in the Italian Garden cafe. Somewhere of this calibre needs to serve tea in china. Other than that all was perfect.
The room was absolutely lovely very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast - well breakfast was in the castle great hall, what an atmosphere, exceptional. We also loved the fact that after the castle was closed we could still wander around the grounds without the hordes of visitors. Brilliant.
We liked everything, there was nothing that we didn't like and enjoy.
Wonderful experience! Wish to come there again, as we'd like to enjoy the gardens again.
That we could only stay for 1 night.....
Hever Castle looks beautiful in June with all the roses and water lilies out and the Astor wing felt suitably historic. We loved the styling/decor inside especially the new bar and the terrace is so pretty. Our dark wood panelled room with Edwardian furniture looked out onto the garden, and we had a spacious wet room style shower which was great, and the beds were really comfy. I’d ordered a bouquet and fizz through reception for my daughter’s birthday and they were in the room with a lovely card from the staff - nice touch! We enjoyed drinks after eating dinner at the local Henry VIII pub and enjoyed a cooked breakfast the next morning. All in all superb and wished we’d booked 2 nights so we could have enjoyed having the gardens to ourselves in the evenings a bit longer. Another visit is in order methinks!!
No complaints at all.

Beautiful castle and gardens
Our room was disappointingly pokey Staff in restaurant were OK, not great Barman was good!
A very special experience, the rooms and the grounds were immaculate. Amazing breakfast and lovely staff.
This 5* B&B is truly outstanding. Many other reviews say the same regarding its wonderful location, friendly staff and opulent surroundings. Its all of that and more. A new bar has just opened for guests to relax and enjoy a drink.A big shout out to the wonderful staff who made our stay so memorable. Recommend the Henry Vlll pub for supper( 5 min walk across the grounds). Make sure you take an evening stroll through the gardens after visitors have gone. The complimentary pass throughout our stay was a huge bonus. Lastly,we must point out the wonderful breakfast which was served in such an exquisite dining room.Overall we felt like royalty during our stay. Fantastic value for money too. Would not hesitate to return.
Nothing, it’s a great experience
Beautifully maintained building and grounds with the customer clearly at the forefront of everything they do. The free entry to Hever castle included with hotel accomodation and breakfast was very good value. The hotel is in the grounds of Hever castle and a wonderful historic little pub is just a short walk away. Breakfast in the gorgeous panelled was delightful and a perfect ending to a perfect stay. Highly recommend.
There is nothing to improve- grounds, building, room, amenities, customer service, breakfast, proximity to Hever castle were all exceptional.
Bedroom opportunity with 2 large shower.suite.
Lack of restaurant staff.
The setting was beautiful. I loved being able to experience this well preserved building and its amazing interior.
Outstanding decor and overall ambiance. Visually stunning. Very comfortable and luxurious. Staff amazing and friendly. Fabulous breakfast. Amazing ease of entrance to such a fabulous castle and gardens. This hotel will defo get anyone in the mood for a historic Tudor weekend away.
This is nothing but to like it’s fabulous
The Luxury Bed and Breakfast was in a gorgeous building, full of history and beautifully kept. A lovely room, pristine. Breakfast was exceptional. Friendly helpful staff. A real treat.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
Was very comfortable and it was a really fun experience staying in a castle, great being able to go into the grounds after hours. breakfast was lovely.
An evening meal option would have been great or a bit more of a heads up a lot of local pubs not open or serving food on Sunday evenings
