Steve and Caroline are superb hosts! Would recommend for anyone visiting Hever to stay here. Looking forward to going back. The breakfast and dinner are superb.

Nothing to dislike at all. If you stay take the time to sit out late as the night sky from the garden is an attraction in itself

Sehr schöne und saubere Privatzimmervermietung - allerdings ist die Bezeichnung "4-Sterne-Hotel" irreführend. Die Gastgeber waren besonders freundlich, sehr geschmackvolles Ambiente (sagt meine Frau), Frühstück ist kein Buffet, aber sehr gut.

Leider ist in der Nähe ein Flughafen und man hört bei offenem Fenster den Flugzeuglärm - wenn jemand empfindlich ist.

The owners were very friendly and very helpful,getting taxis directions ,iron etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive .

The rooms were a bit tired and the bathroom was quite dark only 2 ceiling lights,so wasnt great for putting on makeup and the mirror a little too high. I was dissapointed with the choice of tea,coffee,very limited and no biscuits etc. For the price i would have expected a little more luxury ,a coffee maker with pod coffee, bottled water. The breakfast was quite limited. No fresh fruit, pastries, there was plain yogurt but just a couple of cereals. I was looking forward to a lovely breakfast with good choices and pot of tea and fresh coffee but sadly it was dissappointing.

Caroline was communicative throughout the entire process and provided a clear guide on how to access the property as we had a late checkin. The location was perfect for us as it was 5 min drive from Hoath House where we were attending a wedding for the weekend. My uncle stayed on the property and remarked that the bed was comfortable. He especially enjoyed the fresh breakfast and has not stopped talking about the smoked salmon.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. Walking distance to Hever castle. Perfect for the train station (10min walk) to take you straight to London Bridge station. Will definitely return.

Excellent guest house, food was very well cooked. Tastefully decorated, peaceful location. Twenty minutes walk to Hever Castle. It has a great garden. I can only recommend it if you are in the area.

The Room itself was by all means exceptional large wardrobe, coffee, Tea facilities, very large shower, the breakfast menu catered for all, full English lovely, staff excellent ,very lovely hosts, loved the gardens, sunbeds available, could not asked for anything more than they provided for the guests.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing sausages could have been better quality and slightly larger portions along with the choice of instant coffee rather the very strong fresh brewed coffee The room had several cobwebs and could do with a freshen up on the paintwork. Also impossible to use other hair appliances in front of the mirror as no available plugs close by

This is our 2nd visit to The Greyhound. It's just such a lovely place to stay, the owners are very welcoming and helpful and do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is delicious, the bedroom is roomy with a small balcony and view over the spacious garden and the walk-in shower has been a bonus this week in such hot weather. The location is superb for visiting Hever Castle, both ideal spots in the heart of the garden of England. Stay here if you can- you will not be disappointed.

The close proximity to Hever Castle. Caroline was an excellent host.

The bed was too low. Decor and atmosphere of the "dining room" was something to be desired. Our room was a "chalet" rather than a room.You have to exit via patio doors to get to the dining area. Not great if the weather is bad.

The location was perfect for visiting Hever Castle. The facilities, cleanliness and decor of the greyhound were excellent. The breakfast provided by Caroline was excellent as well and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely chat after breakfast with Caroline who gave us such good advice about the area and places to visit.

The room was a little hot but this was understandable with the extreme heat. The room had a powerful fan which helped with cooling.

Wifi très faible et instable, mais surtout petit déjeuner décevant et peu généreux, avec juste une assiette chaude à la carte et un café assez moyen, absence de toasts et confiture ni fruits ni céréales. Dommage car la décoration de la salle à manger est très réussie.

The Greyhound was beautifully located about 10 minutes from Hever Castle. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with directions when asked. Breakfast was superb as were the evening meals if you chose to eat there. Nothing was too much trouble.

Everything. From our arrival to our departure. The owners were fantastic. They really went above and beyond for us because we needed some essentials that we had forgotten. We were very grateful. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The breakfast top notch. Parking was right outside. The garden area looked lovely. An ideal overnight stay for us.

Alles, Gemütlich, komfortabel, freundliche Wirtsleute. Alles sehr gepflegt. Gutes Frühstück. Es gibt nichts negatives zu sagen.

We werden uiterst vriendelijk en hartelijk welkom geheten. De kamers met modern sanitair waren bijzonder schoon. Het ontbijt was uitstekend verzorgd, de lekkerste koffie die we ooit in Engeland kregen. Naast de locatie ligt een wandelpad door de weilanden, heerlijk om even de benen te kunnen strekken. Verschillende goede restaurants in de nabije omgeving.

De locatie ligt nabij een aanvliegroute van Gatwick Airport maar door de goede isolatie van de kamers hebben we dat niet als hinderlijk ervaren. Geen nachtvluchten.

Lovely host and excellent room, we even had a little patio. It is also a nice (public footpath) walk away from Hever Castle and a nice pub.

Location , small and friendly husband and wife team . Good breakfast . Plenty of good pubs and restaurants within ten mins.

Visited during heatwave and even with a fan in the room , it was a really hot night . Everything else was fantastic . And probably any other time of year in less heat would have been fine .

The mattress was a little too soft for our liking. We're used to the harder one we have at home. However, we did sleep OK.

Lovely decor, good location, very helpful and friendly staff.

The only windows in our room was a set of patio doors that faced the bed. As a result we had the choice of sleeping with the doors open to the bed, or survive a hot night with no ventilation. Probably need to invest in air conditioning. Breakfast was very nice, but a pastry option would have been nice. TV was quite dated - ideally a smart TV so visitors can use their Netflix or cast from their phone would be good. Oh, and tell housekeeping to dust behind the TV.

Our host and hostess were great. The breakfasts were excellent and the room was very nice. The location was great, especially if you came to tour Hever Castle.

The only problem we encountered was the weak WIFI signal in the room.

We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and showed us to our room which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect as it was so close to Hever Castle and the delicious cooked breakfast kept us going for the day. Would highly recommend it.

Very quiet location in the country. The breakfast was superb, with lots of choice. The bathroom was modern and the overall decor was tasteful. Caroline is a delightful hostess and made us feel very welcome.

One minor thing: the curtains did not close completely to block the early morning light, due to the sheer curtain in the middle. We held the heavier curtains together in the middle with clothespins, which we always bring with us for this purpose when travelling.

The cameras everywhere. The downstairs room we had looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com and toiletries were lacking. My dinner, costing 44 GBP or $AU85, which and to be ordered 48 hours in advance, was the worst food I have encountered in two weeks in the UK. The lambs’ kidneys were whole, with the sinews attached, and were under cooked. The mustard sauce was vile, but the brioche was edible. The Steak and Mushroom Suet Pudding had an indiscernible bitter taste and the pastry was soggy. I can’t believe some reviews extolling the virtues of this business,

I really can't criticise this place. If anything, I'd prefer a firmer mattress, but that's personal preference. The bed was more thb big enough and well appointed.

The property is beautiful and the room was lovely. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the garden. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good. Would highly recommend this property.

We missed having a bar or lounge area to meet with our friends for pre or post dinner drinks and perhaps to play cards. We didn't eat in the restaurant partly because we didn't fancy having to pre order 48 hours beforehand and also no facility for a pre or post dinner drink etc

Absolutely loved the stay here! The room was great cosy and comfortable bed, great shower and nice views of the garden from our room. We did have dinner the first night and it was amazing! Decorations of the Greyhound were beautiful and the owners were super friendly. Breakfast had so many choices and was a great start to our day.

I really cannot think of anything negative as our stay was perfect.

Being nit picking, if there had been a mini fridge for fresh milk and some bottled water in the room then I would have given a 9 score.

Great location, staff were excellent, we had a few hiccups as to what time we would be able to check in, but they were so understanding and accommodating.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, very clean. The location is quiet and relaxing. Great for anyone visiting Hever Castle, as it's down the road.

More of a heads up - If you don't opt for the on site restaurant or decide you don't want to leave the premises to get food either - then it's difficult to get a takeaway due to it's location.

Very friendly & accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay at the Greyhound. They allowed early check which was super helpful giving the wedding we had to attend at Hever castle. Great location! We actually missed the breakfast time slot but was kindly offered breakfast after checking out. Unfortunately we had to drive home so politely declined but the offer was appreciated! The place is quirky & very clean. Parking on site was also a bonus. Thank you. We would stay again & would highly recommend to others :)
