Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Breakfast is not included in the price BUT on arrival I noticed fresh milk and two yoghurts in the fridge, rusks for coffee, two fresh apples and cereals for use. I did not expect that. It was nice. If you drive out of the property for maybe four miles, you will find the lovely Bayswater centre, with lovely shops and places to eat. Beautiful layout garden in front of the rooms.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The location was perfect for me, as being close to the airport was my primary concern. The owner was very accommodating when I arrived earlier than expected. The lodge is self catering but I appreciated the milk, cereal, etc. left for a light breakfast.
If I had to be picky, the walls were quite thin, so I could hear conversations from the guests next door. Other than that, i had a pleasant stay.

The room was a small self-catering family unit with a double bed and a single bed, and the bed was very comfortable. The place is well kept, neat, and had everything I needed for my stay. I also appreciated the small extras like rusks, cereal, and milk, which was a nice touch. The air-conditioning works for both cooling and heating, which was perfect as the temperature during my stay was around 6 degrees. Overall, a comfortable, well-priced, and well-maintained place to stay. I would recommend it.

Well located site in farm setting with access to natural views which made it feel like we were very far from the city, beautifully maintained garden. Reviewed Mar 30, 2026Gorgeous old sandstone house which is appropriately furnished and decorated, as the photos show. Quiet and peaceful with a beautiful garden. The breakfast goodies an unexpectedly generous gesture. I had the best nights sleep and will definitely visit again next time I go through Bloem.
A bit off the beaten track to get to from the west, but well worth it. Easy access to the N1 heading east.

it is a little out of town. the neighbors were a bit noisy with the tv on.

Without a sat nav it took a couple of attempts to find from the N1. Fellow guest noise.
