If there was air conditioning in the room we couldn’t find it, which was less comfortable on a hot day like we arrived in.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Room was a good size. The shower had good water pressure and consistent temperature, though the stall itself was on the smaller side. Staff were friendly, and the receptionist pointed out a drying rack behind the building, which was very helpful. Breakfast began at 7 AM.
Good use a fan to improve the customer experience but this is a minor request/thing.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Een heerlijk verblijf in een prachtige hostal tussen twee prachtige Santiago etappes in Herrerías (tip: overnacht hier en begin met de prachtige klim naar O Cebreiro vroeg in de ochtend!). Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en de kamer was smaakvol ingericht en heel schoon. De kamer had een eigen balkon, wat heerlijk was. Het eten was erg lekker! Een absolute aanrader!

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Loved everything about the place! The people were awesome, the facilities were clean. Room was spacious, bathroom was excellent. Beds were super comfortable, plus there was a TV so we could watch the World Cup!
Like many other places I've stayed at in Spain, there was no A/C which is not a deal breaker for me. It did get a little toasty, especially in the evening, but when the sun eventually set, the cool breeze from the nearby river provided enough cool air to keep us comfortable.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026My room was at level 1. There is no lift in this building. There was a small window that looked towards the neighbouring building. The window had an external shutter, so there were no external noise or light issues. The bedroom was a comfortable size, and included an alcove for hanging clothes. There was a writing desk. The shower was very good.
As the building is of timber construction, and my room was located beside the stairs, when people returned to their rooms at night it was a little noisy in my room. Also, I could hear the people in the room above me moving around and talking - thankfully this stopped by 10pm.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Eine meiner schönsten Unterkünfte bislang auf dem Camino. Hübsches Haus direkt am Camino in einem kleinen Ort. Unten ist ein kleines Geschäft mit Restaurant und Café im Haus, wo ich morgens einen Kaffee getrunken habe. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, schick und neu eingerichtet, schönes, neues Bad, Balkon mit Tisch und Stuhl. Kommunikation auch sehr nett und schnell per Email, konnte schon um 12 Uhr in mein Zimmer. Das Hostal liegt ca. 1 km vor dem steilen Stück nach O Cebreiro. Ist ein schöner Stop, wenn man den steilen Anstieg am Morgen machen möchte und nicht am Nachmittag.

Il n’y a pas de place dédiée à l’accueil des clients pour les chambres. Si nous remercions vivement l’hôtel de nous avoir réservé un taxi pour le lendemain matin, celui-ci était un peu cher, 25€ pour aller à O Cebriero à 7km.
