Reviewed Aug 19, 2026La dueña fue muy amable y atenta. Las instalaciones se ven nuevas y cuidadas. Me parecio genial que cada habitacion aunque sea compartida tenga su propio baño. Hubicacion perfecta ya que esta en el mismo Camino.
He estado en agosto y aunque si que es cierto que la temperatura de noche en esta region baja, he pasado algo de calor...

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026The room was perfect, all we needed for a great night's sleep before a tough leg of the Camino. The staff were helpful, the meal was fantastic.
The only negative is that there was almost nothing to do in Herrerías de Valcarce, which is a tiny village. I sat by the river for a while, but that was it.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026We decided to take a night break before the O Cebreiro mountain and the position was right in front of the mountain. Very kind staff, incredibly cozy and beautiful restaurant with a good pilgrim menu, and a selection of drinks, pastries and ice-creams. Clean and comfortable rooms. Amazing breakfast.
I prefer when they give you real sheets instead of the throw away paper ones like in this case, but it is not uncommon in hostels.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Super albergue pour un bon repos avant la montee du Cebreiro. En plein milieu de la nature, pas de magasins a proximite mais un restayrabt est disponi le dans l'albergue. Nous avions pris 2 lits en dortoir, la chambre et la salle de vain etaient spacieueses et propres. Petit coffre dusponible dans la chqmbre pour garder nos affaires personnels et une couverture disponible pour chaque lit.

Our group of three shared a triple room with private bathroom and facilities were immaculate! And there was also a laundry service which was amazing.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026Fabulous Albergue on the Camino trail. Looks like a ski lodge with lots of wooden panelling and a rustic vibe. The property has its own restaurant serving delicious well- cooked foods and a selection of beers and wines. There are private rooms and dormitories and we stayed in a ten bedded dormitory as this was all that was available. The pillows and mattresses were green plastic fabric so very hygienic and on registering at reception, we were given disposable sheets and pillowcases. The showers and toilets were spotless and there was great seating areas outside. It was also possible to wash and dry laundry so all in all, excellent facilities.
For me personally, it is the first time that I have ever stated in a dormitory so I wasn’t totally comfortable, especially when I was screamed at in the morning because I’d put my phone light on to search for my wash bag.

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026The staff was friendly. Check in was easy. Paper sheets were given. I was in a mixed dormitory with 5 bunk beds. The room was small and felt a little cramped. I found the beds comfortable. There was only one toilet and one shower for each men and woman for the whole floor. There are limited options for food in this town and the prices at the restaurant reflect that. There is a great cafe in Lafaba for breakfast.
There was only one small lounging area in the restaurant so I spent most of my time in my bunk bed.

Troppe regole... vietato entrare con poncho se bagnato, vietato camminare con le scarpe, vietato camminare scalzi, non sanno quanto costa il servizio trasporto bagagli, non parlano altro che spagnolo e non si sforzano a capire altre lingue, la colazione a 12 € e la cena del pellegrino a 17 €, lasciare gli zaini fuori incustoditi x il trasporto eventuale, non disturbare dopo le 8 (e va bene), 1 birra da 25cc 4€, non occupare tavolini dehors se non si consumano i loro prodotti... ma siamo pellegrini in cammino o militari in caserma ?
