Mooie locatie en uitgebreid ontbijt en een prachtige en rustige fietsomgeving. gemoedelijke sfeer

Alles was dik in orde.!!!

Wir waren auf unserer Radtour durch Flandern eine Nacht im B&B Tantine. Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb, das war uns klar. Wir konnten im Nachbarort aber noch eine schöne Pizza zum Abendbrot bekommen. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und das Bad sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück war ein absoluter Traum. Wir konnten aus vielen Angeboten bestellen was wir wollten. Absolut empfehlenswert !!! Unsere Räder konnten wir sicher über Nacht trocken unterstellen. Vielen Dank noch einmal dafür.

Een uitstekend ontbijt. De ontbijtformule, deels buffet, deels geserveerd aan tafel, is redelijk uniek maar daardoor is alles supervers en krijg je wat je graag lust. B&B aan te raden aan alle fietslustigen. Fiets veilig parkeren, plaats voor de wagen. Mooie bosrijke fietsroutes in de omgeving. Super vriendelijk onthaal. Heel netjes, goede bedden. Ontbijten kan op het terras. Wij hadden als groepje fietsers de volledige B&B voor ons en het was TOP!

Eigenlijk niets. Een beetje geruis van de snelweg die niet ver van de B&B ligt, maar nu ook niet echt storend.

Het meest uitgebreide ontbijt dat we ooit hebben genoten. Aardige en behulpzame uitbaters.

Zodra de airconditioning is geïnstalleerd krijgt deze B&B een dikke tien. Vanwege warm weer moeten de ramen open en hoor je de snelweg en windmolens. Dat is niet echt rustig slapen helaas.

Ontbijt was fantastisch!!!! Kamers heel comfortabel ! Heel vriendelijke eigenaars !

Misschien voor in de zomer airco.

Gepassioneerde en (zeer terecht!) trotse, gemotiveerde ervaren uitbaters. Prijs/kwaliteit scherp geprijsd. Uitstekend ontbijt met liefde geserveerd.

De verlichting op de kamer. Je keek in alle lampen en als je 's nachts naar toilet gaat, gaat verlichting vol aan, erg vervelend, dat zou een klein lampje moeten zijn.

The property 2km off the motorway, but there was no road noise . The owner was very informative and friendly , and there was a well stocked honesty bar . The room was great , super clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, great coffee and scrambled eggs !! Would highly recommend!!

Prijs voor 1 persoon is nogal hoog tov vroeger, toen was er meer verschil tussen 1 of 2 personen

We decided to stay within a short drive of Turnhout in quiet surrounds. B&B Tantine is a gem, the property is surrounded by stunning, peaceful gardens, everyting is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. The centre of Retie is nearby Our room overlooked the garden, room was compact and well appointed with comfortable beds. Internet worked well. Breakfast is delicious and included eggs and bacon if desired, we especially enjoyed the locally made apple juice with lemon and ginger. The dining area is beautiful and I also enjoyed reading outdoors in the garden. The owners who hosted us were gracious and friendly. We noticed many people cycling in the area and this would be a perfect location to explore the area. I wish we could have stayed for more than 2 nights.

Everything included the breakfast was good quality, great service. The hosts are super nice, we could take their personal bikes anytime for free.

The breakfast was really good, especially the variant of fresh apple juice. Lovely and clean room (+bathroom).

For our purposes the location was ideal being only minutes from the main highway. The property was spotless,the hosts very welcoming with very good English to counter our nonexistent Flemish. Lovely breakfast

Cozy room, everything looked brand new. Plugs on each side of the bed. Full length mirror in the room. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a good size shower. Spotless clean. Coffee machine in the room. Parking in front of the structure. Very attentive and flexible hosts. You can chill in the breakfast room and have some drinks there at night if you want.

A bit far from the town center, you need a car to get there. Because of that, it's a very quiet neighborhood though, so ideal if you want to relax.

Nice quiet location, room was beautiful and very well equipped. The breakfast was excellent! Lot's of choices in drinks as well as food! Furthermore, the owners were very friendly and helpful!

Like said, it was a great venue. The only thing I missed was an airco. The day we were there it was quite hot, so the night was difficult to fall asleep due to the heat.

This is the best B&B we have stayed in. Our hosts Koen & Lieve were so friendly, hospitable amd couldn't do enough to help us. It is beautifully decorated and the rooms are so comfortable, spacious with free coffee facilities, fresh cold water. We were able to use the microwave in the dining area. We felt like home away from home. Breakfast was the best we had in any hotel. Fantastic selection with fresh cooked bacon and eggs, home made yogurt and jams. Great parking on site. Supermarkets and restaurants a short drive away. I would highly recommend this B & B.

The owners are very kind, subtly attentive and polite. The building and grounds are beautiful and extremely well kept. The rooms have very comfortable beds and pillows. All rooms have clever key fobs that work for the room and front door. There is a breakfast lounge come bar, which although I didn’t use it, in the evening you can have a drink and leave a note to say what you’ve had (I like this honesty system). The owners are clearly breakfast people and take huge pride in making it special and it really was. There was a lot to choice from and all clearly excellent quality food and drink. Afterwards I was also given two cakes with a takeaway bag, really nice touch. There is a coffee machine in the room with high quality cups which are branded and match the sugar and cream (I like those touches). They have animals (two goats and a donkey) in an adjacent field) so if you stay with children they will love that. There is an elegant style and attention to detail about all aspects of the place. I will definitely stay again, will look forward to it.

Some things that could be added; softer loo roll (although suspect this may be due to the big focus in the hotel on sustainability/environment), some carpet tread to quieten the stairs a little and maybe a small shelf in the shower but really if they are the gripes, im really having to look hard to find them! I would love it if they also did evening meals even pre-prepared self service from a fridge, as if the breakfast if anything to go by, the food would be fantastic.

Location, Staff, general feel of the place & a great garden. It was nice to have a small bar area where you can sit either inside or outside on a deck where the breakfast was served. Easy to get to off the main road.

I would give a 10 if there was a restaurant. Although there is a nice brasserie around 15 minutes walk away where I had an excellent meal.

Wonderful accommodation and helpful owners. There is also a small restaurant. We were thrilled. We recommend!!!!

The location is easily accessible from the motorway, but not disturbed by traffic noise. The room was well-equipped, compact but very comfortable. Our host Koen provided a warm welcome and attended to all our needs. Breakfast was excellent too, and we felt very welcome as guests here.

Friendly welcoming family run. Good amount of parking. Quiet residential area. Lovely gardens & excellent guest lounge/ bar. Comfortable room overlooking garden but very warm during night, opened window for ventilation as it had an insect screen but still managed to get 4 mosquitoes buzzing around in room ?!? ( Although did find an anti-mosquito plug which was provided in desk drawer)

Stairs very echoey so woken by late night returning guests footsteps.
