Watercolours is a piece of heaven on an island that’s already perfect. It is private, sits right on the water (literally! I jumped to the water from the deck) and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. John and Carrol are the sweetest hosts and will make sure you’ve got everything you need!

The only downside which you should consider is that it is pretty remote - walking anywhere, even to a bus station, is pretty tough. But! If you’re open to traveling by taxi, you’ll be perfectly fine.

The property is beautiful, rooms are very nice, continental breakfast was perfect. The views are great, very quiet and peaceful. All possible amenities are available in the room (fridge, coffee machine, hair dryer, air-conditioner, ceiling fan, TV with streaming channels, shampoo, towel warmer, outlets everywhere, etc.

It's a bit remote and off the main roads, so taking local transportation requires a bit of a walk. There is a ferry right "next door", but it only runs like 4 times a day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon, and only to Hamilton. Taxis can be called via the Hitch App, but they are expensive.

We had a lovely time at Watercolours! The hosts were friendly and kind, and they ensured that we had everything that we needed throughout our stay. The waterfront location is beautiful and peaceful, and the room was cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. It's also a short walk to the Belmont Ferry, which made it easy to explore Hamilton and other parts of the island.

We stepped out on to our patio which was right next to the water. The early morning and late evening were heavenly waterside. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hosts were very welcoming.

It was dangerous to walk anywhere as Bermudian roads are extremely narrow and there’s usually no sidewalk. Highly recommend having transportation if staying here.

Great location with stunning views from the rooms

Breakfast could have been slightly more generous with better options

the breakfast was light, but nice. The view was outstanding. Also it was a wonderfully quiet area on the island. As with Bermuda in general, it is safe and stress free.

My wife commented that her side of the bed was soft and did not really support her back. Not a criticism, but it is a bit off the beaten path. Not a real issue, but there to let people who want to have all resources right where they stay. We walk a lot, so the 10 minute walk to the bus stop or nearest restaurant was fine for us.

We had a spacious well-appointed room with doors opening to the patio overlooking the harbour. Especially appreciated that there were more than enough hangers for all our clothes (we were staying a week). Breakfast included fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cakes etc. An afternoon pot of tea and biscuits was also available on request. Hosts charming and waited with us till our departure taxi to the airport arrived.

It was a very quiet neighbourhood, sitting on dock area at night was brilliant for watching the sunset. Carole and Joe were a lovely couple, kind and amiable. Lots of information supplied in the room on entry, on places to visit, things to do, bus and ferry timetables etc. Annie was a lovely lady who attended to all your needs at breakfast and cleaned the rooms etc.

I would have liked some kind of ladder to get into the water off the dock for swimming. It was a bit slippy using the concrete and stone area covered in seaweed and I needed water shoes as it was sharp as a razor.

Food was great, accommodations were great, excellent hospitality. Would come back, and would recommend to interested family/friends.

Unfortunately, the location is 1/2 mile from the nearest bus stop, and it is difficult to get back to the location safely after dark unless you take a taxi.

Great views, right on the water. Loved the subtle morning music with breakfast! Hosts were great, were very helpful even though they were a bit under the weather.

What didn't we like about the place? Hmm. If we have to think about it, then what is the point? Place was great!

Squisita ospitalita

wonderful facility and superb hosts. Joe and Carole, owners, were fantastic people and Annie (staff) was marvelous. The home is spectacular, well kept, and with stunning vistas.

Location. While the views from the B&B were spectacular, they were, at the same time, the most inconvenient part of our stay. The water shuttle from the B&B to Hamilton runs very infrequently and the bus stop is a hike. And if you decide to take a cab, be ready to pay a hefty fee. So, getting from the B&B to anyplace else is a challenge.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Watercolours between the 17-24 December 2025 and would thoroughly recommend it! The hosts are wonderful, remarkably kind and hospitable - they made our first experience of Bermuda very special, adding a touch of magic to a much needed break. Watercolours is a beautiful home, very tastefully decorated, with the guest rooms luxurious and well appointed. Much thought and consideration has gone into making sure every need is met, so that it really feels like a home from home. Also helpful advice about where to go and how to get there with bus/ferry tickets available to purchase from the host rather than having the hassle of buying these from the bus station. We were so fortunate to have booked this place - it was outstanding in every way!

The room was beautiful and right on the harbour. The owners were so lovely and breakfast each morning was great. The location is nice because it is centrally located. I rented a car and it was easy to get anywhere on the island from this location. And a great bed and bath. I would stay here again!

It was in a very convenient location, right on the water. The hosts are lovely, friendly and interesting people.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Watercolours is a wonderful B&B that is beautifully decorated with many of Carole's watercolor paintings. Our room was spacious with beautiful views of the water. The A/C was a godsend in the humid weather. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit, juice, pastries, yogurt, etc. The saltwater pool was refreshing after a long day of exploring the island.

The location is not on a bus route, and the nearest bus stop is about a 10 minute walk up hill, which is a challenge in the hot, humid weather. The alternative is to take a taxi, which can get quite expensive. We would have liked a mini-fridge in the room to chill wine or keep leftovers.

Everything was great.

Watercolours is a beautiful property right on a quiet section of the harbor. You can easily step down and jump into the water. Our room was lovely and spacious with a large closet, two desks, armoire with tea and biscuit service, bathroom with tub and shower. The proprietor’s lovely artwork is abundant throughout the home. Breakfast was continental, with coffee, tea, pastries, flavored yogurt, cereals and some fresh fruit.

While it is walkable to ferry services, you do need a taxi, twizzy, or other form of motorized transport to go anywhere the ferry doesn’t take you, and on at least one occasion the nearest ferry cancelled service and left everyone waiting. Also, the bed was somewhat uncomfortable, a bit soft and small for my 6’4” husband. That, however, was on us as the larger room was already booked.

Breakfast pastries were excellent and varied from day to day.

It was difficult to get taxis some times.

The breakfasts were particularly delightful and special and showed a lot of thought in preparation. The tables and set up and dishes were beautiful and the choices of food servings and coffees, teas and fruit were both plentiful and delicious. Everything else- room , property, staff and management first rate.

I love to swim and was delighted to do so less than 10 ft away from our studio room . Was happy to later find out that the pool was salt water after first swimming in the sea that adjoins your property. I found the ladders very difficult and dangerous to use likely because of my age and physical condition. I had a very difficult time using the steps due to their width and step size. Fortunately I was able to make maximum use of the pool although I would have preferred swimming with the fish. Finally I noticed that others were able to use them with less difficulty so this does not require immediate attention except for tightening the bolts which were also very loose . Next time you remodel or want to replace the ladders I would recommend bigger and wider steps. You will make older people like me extra happy.

Liked our hosts, room, view, position on the Island.

Since we are older, and although the walk was not long, getting to the ferry and having to walk on the roadway was not comfortable.The only negative of the accommodation was breakfast… everything on offer was delicious… but there was no protein…egg or meat. There was yogurt and cereal and fruit…fresh and tasty! But we are egg and meat people.

The property was lovely. The location was right on the harbor, great views. Carole was nice enough to give us a ride on two different nights when our taxi did not come in time to take us to dinner. Bermudian’s are very kind and generous people.

The only problem that we had, and may I add it maybe because of our age. The road that Watercolours is on is very narrow. It is about a three minute walk down to the ferry stop. Those three minutes are very scary due to the fact that it is a two Way Rd.. And the cars drive very fast.

Our first visit to Bermuda and chose Watercolours based on reviews and we prefer smaller places. This place was everything the great reviews said. Carol and Joe were great hosts as well as Annie at breakfast. To wake every morning right next to the water was wonderful as well as seeing the sunsets at night. The huge room we had was perfect and the location of Watercolours was great. The ferry being a few seconds away, Divots restaurant within a short walk, the supermarket and bus stop 10 min walk. Bermuda is such a lovely place to visit and the beaches were just amazing - we will be back.

The hosts Carol and Joe where very loverly and helpful the position of the house is out of Hamilton by the waters edge so the location is quite and only a short ferry ride to Hamilton where you can catch other ferrys to all parts of the islands. There is a local golf course where you can have good quality meals. The rooms are clean and comfy maintained very well, We had a loverly Time.

Our stay at Watercolours was amazing! Carol, the host, was accommodating to our dietary needs for breakfast and made sure we felt welcome. The location next to the ferry was great as it made trips to Halmstad extremely easy. If you are on the fence about staying here or at a resort, stay here!

Carole, Joe & Annie were very nice & friendly. We enjoyed the baked bread & muffins during breakfast. The water is blue & relaxing. The water taxi is within walking distance to go to Hamilton. Restaurants are nearby if you choose not to take the water taxi. It was a delightful experience to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It's an awesome location to de-stress & just relax. We will visit Watercolours again!

We were greeted with a warm welcome and guided tour. After our long journey we relaxed immediately. The rooms were outstanding, breakfasts homely and tranquility abundant. A perfect location we were fortunate to find. Our hosts Carole and Joe went above and beyond in assisting and answering our questions. Watercolours is an inspiration to any budding artist or hospitality apprentice. Looking forward to a return visit. ❤🙂😁

Location was spectacular with a beautiful view of Hamilton. Plus, it was very close to the Belmont ferry and bus routes on Middle Rd.

Beautiful interior design and good size rooms. Large bathroom looked like new and was extremely clean. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of space in a closet. Our flight was early and Carole was very kind to check us in before 1pm.

We liked everything. The comfort of this place and location. Ferry was less then 5 minutes walking and two restaurants near by. Pool was a nice option to have along with swimming in a Harbor. We enjoyed the water view having afternoon tea. Breakfast was nice in a beautiful library. We would definitely come back.

Carole and Joe are excellent hosts in their beautiful home. The property is in a superb location with beautiful views and facilities. The continental breakfast each day was a real treat(The homemade bread was just lovely). We had hired a small Bermi electric car for our stay which was exceptionally easy to charge and park at the property. Thoroughly recommend this property, thanks to Joe and Carole for making our trip to Bermuda special.

Very nice home made items, but I would have liked to get some eggs during one or two of the days and some peanut butter for my toast...

Breakfast was delicious- homemade pastries and breads, fresh fruits, all the extras.

I wish I had a chair with a higher back - helpful for my back pain to rest my head.

Watercolours is a great place in Bermuda, nearby Hamilton is quick ferry ride or taxi. Easy walking to ferry dock, restaurants, golf. Directly on the water, you will find Watercolours a perfect hotel. Staff is outstanding!

Also loved the service led by innkeepers Joe and Carole. Heated towel holders and great water pressure in shower. Very clean. Million dollar views.

Carol and Joe! We absolutely loved the property! The location was perfect! 2 minute walk to the ferry to Hamilton. Walking distance to 2 excellent restaurants. Close to all beaches on south shore. It was so relaxing to be able to swim in the pool and the bay. The breakfast was just perfect. Coffee was delicious and the homemade baked goods each day was delicious. Carol couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy and comfortable. I felt like I was visiting with my parents. So much attention to detail. We loved it so much we decided to change our plans for our honeymoon to rebook and stay here instead!

There was nothing to not like!

Breakfast was excellent, with delicious homemade pastries and breads. Great variety of conserves and coffee/tea. Beautiful cutlery and china with thoughtful emphasis on presentation. Location was stunning.

It is hard to imagine what could be bettered within the property as facilities and attention to detail were paramount.

We had a beautiful stay at Watercolours, it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was thoughtfully laid out every morning and small touches such as the honest bar were a great addition. The pool was a treat and given there are only 4 rooms it never felt busy, a very chilled vibe! You also can't beat staying right on the water, it's very special to be able to swim right off the dock. Thank you both for your hospitality.

The property was beautiful, and the rooms were clean and perfect. The breakfast was excellent, and the housecleaning was perfect. Very close to the Ferry to Hamilton. Walk to it in less than 5 minutes. Clean and spacious room and right on the marina with beautiful view. The hostess was amazing, and she provided all that we needed. We would definitely consider staying in this B&B again if we visit Bermuda again.

The privacy of the end room #4 was very quiet and comfortable. The room was decorated in beautiful pastel colors and was tastefully done. We had a small refrigerator to use for our snacks and beverages. The English breakfasts were outstanding.

Weak internet. The Internet service provider was having some equipment issues outside on the lines/poles coming into the house.

Carole is wonderful and her home is absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect and we took the ferry and bus every day to fully explore the island with no issues at all.

Everything is truly perfect

The property was meticulously maintained and beautiful location and view. The room had everything you need and I loved the patio walk out doors! Breakfast set up was exactly enough!

'Watercolours' is simply beautiful. Upon arrival, we met Carole, owner and gracious host who gave us the tour and 'ins and outs' of her property. She ordered a taxi to pick us up from the airport and made a Saturday night reservation for us in advance at 'Blu', a very good restaurant a short walk away. At the local grocery store, which was within walking distance of the property, we purchased a few cheeses, meats and canned fish We used the common refrigerator to store our items. Breakfast was good with yogurt, cereal, juice, fresh fruit and home made breads, muffins and jams. We supplemented with our own groceries. Two properties down the road, there is a very convenient stop for the water taxi which takes you to Hamilton. We also used the busses and a few taxis to get around as we did not rent a scooter or car. This was a great five day get away for us. This property is very clean. Common areas, our room and bathroom were spotless. The pool was very relaxing. The grounds were beautiful. We would definitely come back here again.

We had our own garden, but unfortunately there was no sun shade as the sun was very strong. Would have been nice to have a small sofa or comfortable chair to sit on in the room.

Everything. The hospitality of Joe and Carole, their beautiful home that they have opened up to others to enjoy, the beautiful views of the bay, the delicious breakfast, the location, the attentiveness of their kind staff (Annie), everything was perfect. The only complaint is that we had to eventually leave to come home. It is just a perfect place to stay and enjoy Bermuda for the beautiful place that it is. I also loved seeing Carole’s art throughout and was inspired to go buy a piece to take home.

Carole and Joe are delightful hosts. It felt like I was their personal friend visiting their lovely home and not just someone staying at a hotel. Loved swimming in their small but bay-side pool - believe to be rare in Hamilton/ Mt Pleasant, a travel requirement in tropics for me, being refreshed in afternoon after a day of sighting. You will totally enjoy your experience there.

Carole & Joe are amazing hosts. We have arrived on the Christmas Eve and have been invited for the Christmas cocktails party. It was such of nice evening. Also during all stay we had nice little surprises. Watercolours B&B it was our right choice to stay to explore mid and south part of island.

The hosts could not do enough for us. They went out of their way to be helpful, kind, and accommodating. Breakfast when you wanted, 3 min walk to the Belmont ferry to for a 15 min boat ride to get into Hamilton, other ferries, and bus station, 5 min one way to two great restaurants, 9 the other way to a different restaurant and grocery store, and to the middle road bus lines. Parking available. Right on the bay, waves lapping at your patio, great view of the harbor and Hamilton, pool, and our room had a jacuzzi. It was super clean, and a great, great value!!! When they say location, location, location, this had it all. Also, phone to call locally to restaurants and for taxi's, etc., so you don't need to use your own phone and can avoid phone charges. Good internet.

There was nothing we did not like - we liked everything.

Accommodations were very comfortable and loved that we were close to the ferry. Slept every night with the door open to the outside just using the screen door. Breakfast in the morning was always good with home made muffins, breads and jams. Joe & Carole were very gracious.

A bit of a walk to the closest bus stop and busses or cabs are needed to get most places other than Hamilton.

Breakfast was superb, taken in the library or outside with a stunning view over Hamilton harbour. Cafetiere coffee, orange juice, cereals, then fresh fruit, yoghourt, a choice of homebaked goods, which changed on a daily basis. Special requests also catered for although what was on offer was most delicious and quite enough for me! Carole and Jo welcome guests into their home away from home and there is seriously nothing they haven't thought of to make for a worry free stay and one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed in. Scrupulously clean and many little extras you would not necessarily expect (eg ice machine, honesty bar etc). My room was sumptuous and again spotless, ceiling fan and air conditioning were super quiet. Simply the best and I would stay again in a heartbeat!

There was absolutely nothing I would change. It was all wonderful.
