A nice spot, close to center. Host was very nice and very helpful, arranging taxi and and from airport. There's a small shared kitchen with cook too and refrigerator. Combine that with a much-needed across the street with very good selection of fresh vegetables, you have a great way to cook for yourself in an expensive island.

Excellent location!! right on the main street of Hanga Roa, close to restaurants and shops. Almost everything was within walking distance, and the area felt very safe as well. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming!

Pokój wyglądał o wiele lepiej na zdjęciach, meble w pokoju i w ogólnodostępnej kuchni są już mocno nadgryzione zębem czasu, w rogach pokoju w szafie jakieś dziwne czarne brudy, łazienka była w fatalnym stanie, wąż od słuchawki prysznicowej był kompletnie rozwalony i zalewał wszystko naokoło, z rur do wanny w nocy wyłaziły robaki i trzeba to było rano spłukiwać, nieprzyjemny zapach stęchlizny i wilgoci. Na koniec taka drobnostka: wszyscy turyści na lotnisku witani byli wieńcami z kwiatów, wiedzielismy że jest taki zwyczaj, więc mimo bliskiej odległości hotelu z lotniska dopłaciliśmy za transfer lotniskowy, bo to miłe doświadczenie. Wszyscy dostali wieńce naokoło oprócz nas, więc delikatny niesmak

Excellent breakfast, nice staff and owner, pick up from airport, comfortable bed. Refrigerator in common area was a plus.

No air conditioning made the room very hot and uncomfortable. The fan was slightly helpful. Lots of mosquitoes and assorted bugs.

We enjoyed our stay at Kahina Lodge. Yarela picked us up from the airport and checked us in. The property is quite pretty. The shared kitchen was down the hall from our room which was near the washing machine. There was a drying rack in our room. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and a bigger grocery store named Henua Market around the corner. The artisanal markets can be found down the street. Although we struggled with communicating in Spanish, Yarela is very sweet and always responsive. When leaving Rapa Nui, she took us back to the airport and helped with our heavy luggage. Both women who run this hostel are great. We highly recommend Kahina Lodge.

las instalaciones podrían actualizarse un poco, algunos detalles mínimos, por ejemplo no hay ningún gancho o lugar dentro del baño para colgar una toalla o apoyar ropa, la cortina de la tina es de tela antigua, manchada y sería mejor una de plástico, el ventilador del cuarto es muy pequeño, esos detalles mejorarían más la experiencia.

sehr guter Service von Yarela, Sie hat sich um alles gekümmert und war per WhatsApp immer erreichbar, Kahina Lodge liegt zentral, alle Punkte im Ort Hanga Roa waren in max 30 min zu Fuß erreichbar, wir haben uns dort wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war ausreichend groß, auch ohne Klimaanlage nachts kühl, mit Ausnahme der beiden nächtlichen Themen war es um die Unterkunft sehr ruhig und angenehm

Ein Thema, dass auf alle Unterkünfte in Hanga Roa zutrifft: Nachtruhe wird durch Dauergebell von ca 1 - 1,5 Std der überall herumlaufenden Hunde gestört, und morgens ab ca 05:30 melden sich die Unmenge von Hähnen und überbieten sich gegenseitig ca 1 Std beim Krähen. Irgendwann gewöhnt man sich möglicherweise daran, aber Touristen sind nicht so lange dort. Wie gesagt: betrifft alle Unterkünfte - ist also KEIN Grund, Kahina Lodge zu meiden.

El recibimiento único con su collar de flores, sin duda te hace sentir en casa desde el comienzo, además del transporte qué es incluido en tu llegada y al regreso. El lugar es muy bonito y limpio, queda al centro de todo en Hanga Roa, puedes hacer todo muy bien caminando y la atención y desayunos de Yarela quedarán para siempre en mis recuerdos (desayuno muy variado y contundente, nunca era el mismo cada día, todo muy rico y fresco). Nos dejó hacer un lavado de ropa también lo cuál nos facilito el pagarlo afuera. Arrendamos un auto por unos días, el lugar no cuenta con parking, pero puedes dejarlo fuera en toda seguridad sin problemas. Muy agradecidos por todo. Volveremos sin dudarlo 🙏😌✨️

El desayuno sumamente recomendado: saludable, muy variado y preparado en el momento. Muy bien ubicado con negocios y almacenes cerca; no hay restricciones de ingreso y salida y el lugar es cómodo, seguro y silencioso. La disposición y atención de la anfitriona es excelente, siempre atenta y muy bien comunicados cuando fue necesario.

Hostel położony jest przy głównej ulicy miasteczka, w otoczeniu pięknego ogrodu. Pokój jest bardzo duży i czysty, łóżka są wygodne, chociaż wyposażenie ogólnie jest już trochę stare, ale trzeba mieć na uwadze, że jest to wyspa odseparowana od reszty świata i z pewnością nie jest łatwo, żeby wszystko było tak jak na kontynencie. Prawdą jest, że od rana słychać koguty, ale one są na wyspie wszędzie, więc nie da się ich uniknąć. Poza tym przy zamkniętych oknach nie przeszkadzają. Te drobne niedogodności nadrabia natomiast Yarela, która jest niezwykle miła, kontaktowa, pomocna i serwuje przepyszne śniadania 😍

La ubicación es muy buena, está cerca de todo. La cocina tiene de todo por si necesitas cocinar, y la habitación muy acogedora para llegar a descansar. Yarela, quien nos atendió fue muy amable y amorosa, cualquier duda que tuviéramos nos respondía de inmediato y nos ayudó con nuestros requerimientos.

Location was fantastic. All our tours knew where to pick us up. Easy to walk to main areas. Was never too loud. A huge room with fresh towels daily. Breakfast was DELICIOUS every morning. The host was always available to assist with anything you needed.

If you are not familiar with tropical climates and the critters that come with it, then maybe this is not the place for you. Bed was quite springy and not as comfortable as we would have liked, but overall it was a great stay and checked all our boxes.

La pieza cómoda y muy limpia, con baño privado. El hostal cuenta con cocina compartida y estacionamiento, está en la calle principal y muy cerca de todo caminando, nos recibieron con mucho cariño y amabilidad

Staff is nice and helpful. I don’t speak Spanish but Google translate helped a lot. The location is so convenient and it took only 15 minutes if you walk from the airport. It’s easy to visit the whole town and sights. Two little girls who are daughters of the host were so kind and helpful. It was a nice and warm stay in the Easter island.

Wifi seems to be only available in the common area. It would be great if I can use WIFI at room, which is the far from the common area.

La amabilidad del personal. Te hacen sentir como en casa. Está muy bien ubicado. Es una casa con habitaciones independientes que tiene cocina (para que lleves cosas desde el continente si quieres cocinar y ahorrar). Bonito patio y tiene parrilla si quieres hacer un asado o algo similar.

Wunderbar umsorgt in einer kleinen Anlage mit sehr bequemen Bett. Küche und davor ein schöner Tisch zum Essen vorhandenen. Garten super gepflegt. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

Being met at the airport

Shared kitchen and envsuite bathroom were both run down and not very clean. We found it very difficult to sleep as the accommodation is on a noisy road. Dogs were barking most of the night, and the cockrels started to crow from 03.30 in the morning. We only speak a little Spanish, and as the new manager doesn't speak English, we found it difficult to get advice about the island. We did enquire about leaving after the first night, but the owner was not willing to refund any money.

Pathy, who took care of our stay there, is very nice and responsive to any messages/questions sent to her. She picked us up from the airport and greeted us with leis (and also dropped us off when we headed back to fly out!), and speaks fluent French and Spanish, and some English. Kahina Lodge is well-located, in between the Hanga Roa "town centre" and the airport (and walkable to both). It's just at the southern end of the commercial part of the main street, and a 5-10min walk away from most of the food/restaurant options in town, and around 15-20min walk from the sunset spot of Ahu Tahai. There is also ample parking both on the street and in a back lot. The room is spacious and the shelving was super helpful for storage. Wifi signal was decent, and a hairdryer was provided. There's also a communal kitchenette, washing machine, dining table, and living room space.

Shower temperature sometimes temperamental, affected by whoever else staying had used hot water recently, so be careful before committing to a shower (one of my evening showers was hot for the first 30 seconds, then just had cold water for the remainder of the very quick shower...). More storage space / a rack would have been helpful in the bathroom as there wasn't much space to put stuff despite the bathroom being quite spacious.

Patty was the best ! We could not say enough about her she picked us up and went out of her way for us she is very caring .she makes you feel like family . This spot is perfect,close to everything within walking distance.clean room .across the street there is a cafe . There is a kitchen dining area laundry tv lounge area onsite .There are lovely roosters to wake you no need for an alarm clock ..

Hot water doesn't last long but it's nice jumping into a cool shower after a day in the sun . Wifi is only strong in the common area but the cell service is spotty all over town mind you it is an island.

The place was clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets and cafes are only a minute away by foot. Pathy, the hostess, was awesome. She was a big help for information about Rapa Nui. Free transport to and from the airport, which is 3 minutes away by car. You can walk to the waterfront in about 8 minutes. Tour agencies, Internet cafe, and other services are located on the same street (the main street) as the lodge. Kahina Lodge... highly recommended.

Our hostess was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect French. She even helped find a guide , Tongariki, who made our week. The hostel is nicely decorated, the room spacious and the use of the kitchen saved us a lot of money. There is also the free use of a washing machine. The garden is lovely and the sculptures and art are very nice. Its central location is perfect for the shops and the seafront.

It would be nice to have hot water in the kitchen.
