Casa Raisol Barichara

Todo me gustó, el ambiente, la limpieza, el desayuno, nos proporcionaron todo lo que necesitábamos. Probablemente el café que nos brindaron en las mañanas al desayuno, estaba delicioso.

Todo estuvo súper bien.

La atención de Juan es muy buena. Nos recomendó varios lugares para visitar y siempre estuvo muy atento a cualquier inquietud que tuvimos.

Es hermoso, acogedor, cerca al parque principal, el desayuno es espectacular, la amabilidad de las personas del hotel es increíble, la cama y las almohadas son cómodas, la ducha tiene agua caliente, muy tranquilo y sin ningún ruido fuerte en los alrededores. El lugar es tal cual como las fotos. Todo nos encantó! Definitivamente volveríamos a alojarnos aquí!

La atención de Juan Carlos y Silvia te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer minuto con su amabilidad y detalles. Juan Carlos te hace recomendación de sitios por conocer en Barichara y lista de los mejores restaurantes de la zona, la ubicación es perfecta, a pocos pasos de la plaza principal, lo que facilita caminar y explorar todo Barichara. Mención especial el desayuno delicioso! Con frutas frescas, los huevos preparados a tu gusto con opción de elegir un buen café o chocolate. Recomendado 100%

Muy limpio, bastante bien ubicado y la atención fue excelente.

Really a beautifully restored little 4 bedroom house, perfectly maintained by Juan and Celia, his housekeeper. They are both very friendly yet professional, not easy to do with only a few guests in rooms surrounding a beautiful small courtyard. It is intimate yet private. It was very comfortable, great beds, and clean, with great water pressure, hot and cold. Juan does an amazing job of giving advice and sending links on any type of activity guests are interested in. I booked 3 nights and ended up staying 5. Not far from main square, a 3 block walk uphill, but everything is hilly in Barrichara. Celia cooked the best breakfast I had in my 3 week Columbia trip, amazing arepas crispy and soft on the inside, fresh croissants, eggs, fruit juice and coffee and hot chocolate.

Nothing, all great, just realize it is a small house with only a few guests.

La casa es hermosa conservando las características propias de la arquitectura local. Juan te recibe con calidez y está dispuesto a orientarte en todo lo necesario en Barichara y la región. La habitación es amplia, cómoda y con todos los servicios requeridos. El baño también es amplio, limpio y cómodo.

El alojamiento tiene una excelente ubicación, cerca para llegar caminando a todo pero lo suficientemente alejado de la congestión vehicular y gente para poder descansar. El desayuno me encantó, completo, siempre con fruta variada, variedad de bebidas calientes, los huevos deliciosos. Pero lo mejor que tiene es la persona que lo atiende. Juan Carlos es una persona muy especial, muy atento y colaborador, nos explicó todo lo que necesitamos, recomendó excelentes restaurantes, actividades para hacer, muy amable y siempre respetuoso.

Amazing cozy place, maintained with care and passion. You'll feel like home since the very first steps into Casa Raisol. Plenty of green and great vibes! The breakfast is excellent. You'll get local fresh fruit, various types of omelets, croissants, arepas and of course delicious Colombian chocolate milk. Juan Carlos is a fantastic host who gladly guided us during our staying in Barichara. Absolutely recommended! You'll love this place!

Juan the nicest man in Colombia!! He was so warm and friendly, sent links to local attractions and restaurants/cafes, speaks very good English and made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an amazing shower. We also really enjoyed the delicious and generous breakfast (fresh fruit, egg and pastries), as well as the stocked mini fridge in the room. The location was great and close to everything. I would 100% recommend you stay with Juan if you are coming to Barichara, this place is great value for money!

Hands down the most straightforward 10/10 I could rate any hotel/hostel. Juan Carlos is an amazing host, always proactive and on the ball. The room and the rest of the hostel are nice and very calm.

Hermoso lugar para hospedarse en Barichara. Juan Carlos es el mejor host, siempre atento y con muy buena actitud. Los desayunos son riquísimos y además el hotel siempre está muy limpio. Sin dudarlo lo recomiendo y repetiría mil veces más.

Our stay at Casa Raisol was simply amazing. The rooms were clean and the bed was nice, also the amenities were more than sufficient for our needs. But above all, it was Juan that made our stay memorable, he went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. From the beginning he told us “Mi casa su casa” and he made that reality. For anyone looking for a place to stay in Barichara, casa Raisol is well located, clean and comfortable with an amazing host who will ensure you of an amazing stay.

Barichara is a beautiful town and we had an amazing stay at beautiful Casa Raisol. Juan Carlos is a great host, he has tons of fine recomendations and Silvia‘s breakfast is delicious.

Juan Carlos is the perfect host who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. In 2.5 months of travelling through Latin America, my friend and I agreed this was the best place we’ve stayed! Truly exceptional. We loved the breakfast in the courtyard with varied fruit and fresh juices plus delicious coffee. The casa is spotless, with a super comfy bed and large hot shower. It is ideally located and Juan Carlos kindly gave us travel advice and brilliant restaurant suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend staying at Casa Raisol.

Casa Raisol was our favourite stay after travelling for almost 2 months. It's a really peaceful place where you can properly relax and switch off. It's also in a great spot for exploring the beautiful town and its surroundings. The breakfast was amazing! We were even offered a traditional broth for breakfast as a change on our last day. Juan Carlos was an excellent and super friendly host. He provided several really good recommendations around the town and was always on hand to help out. He kindly offered to upgrade our room as we arrived early and he had availability. Really kind and accommodating of our very basic Spanish!

The hotel's natural decor and spotless cleanliness made for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.

Best accommodation we have had so far. The host and his aid were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, the premises were clean, and the bedroom in this 200 years old building was particularly comfortable and charming. Barichara has been a real pleasure.

Casa Raisol quickly became one of my all-time favourite places to stay in nearly five years in Colombia. The owner, Juan Carlos, is simply AMAZING! His outstanding hospitality ensured our stay in Barichara was unforgettable. He is really well-connected in Barichara and wants his guests to have the best experience – he even managed to get us into a fully booked brunch spot and recommended a pop-up chef dinner event. You can arrive at Casa Raisol knowing nothing about Barichara and still be sure to have a fantastic time tailored to your interests. He was always ready to help with anything on WhatsApp. Our room was comfy, clean, and spacious, especially the triple with two double beds. The excellent WiFi was a big plus, especially for my partner who needed to work during our stay. Breakfast was fantastic, with a chance to try local tamales, if you want. For a relaxing stay and insider tips in Barichara, Casa Raisol is the place!

Juan Carlos was an amazing host - from the moment we arrived, hot and tired from our drive from Bucaramanga, he made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Some of the best service we have ever received in a hotel, Juan's restaurant recommendations and help organising transfers and giving local advice was top tier. Breakfasts were delicious and varied, and the location was in the centre of Barichara, with a beautifully decorated room and well kept garden. The bathroom was huge and had a lovely shower. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was AMAZING. The best hotel we've stayed in Colombia! The room was nice and clean, also smelled so nice 😍 Juan was the best host we could imagine - very helpful, it felt like home. Breakfast was also amazing. Area is very safe and beautiful.
