Location for us was good. Food was good.
Daughter didn't like the spiders.
Lovely place, lovely hosts, lovely room, lovely dinner, lovely breakfast. We'll be back ❤️
Friendly people and very helpful
The staff where brilliant
The road closures in the area so having to drive through narrow roads
Great location for our stay , peaceful part of the countryside
Very friendly staff, asked how a day had been each day and would make sure we had all we needed
The owners and staff team were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well equipped with mini fridges, cold water and toiletries and a good information booklet.
We felt very comfortable here, the hosts were friendly and helpful. The area is a really good place to visit. The food and service is great.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Everything!
We loved our stay here. The hotel is very old from 1600's - low ceilings and very authentic which we loved. Location is great - away from centre in a wee country village and the staff were fantastic & looked after us so well. We stayed in the wee cabin out the back which was tiny but had everything we needed for a one night very comfy stay.
Nothing - everything was so nice!
Les hôtes sont très accueillants, les chambres sont très propres et grandes. Ambiance dans le pub très sympa tout en restant calme.
Petit déjeuner incomplet sans prendre la formule supplémentaire (non précisé par booking)
Amazing staff, beautiful location, rooms were nicely decorated and clean, good food
The twin beds both had springs sticking out of them making it impossible to sleep. One was thankfully a bit better than the other, but still not comfortable at all.
Great location and friendly staff. The food and the beer was tasty and good value
The bedroom looked a bit tired and needed some attention. My mattress lacked support in the middle and perhaps needs to be replaced.
The room was clean and well-provisioned. The bed was super comfy. Staff were really friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Location was great, and the hotel was easy to find. I was there during the music festival, and the hotel had its own mini festival on the lawn opposite the pub. A really great evening of entertainment. Breakfast was great.
I would have appreciated blinds or a covering on the bathroom window, and the bedroom window (not just curtains) as the room was opposite other accommodation. This impacted privacy. Getting ready in the dark when it's sunny daylight outside wasn't great.
The room was very cozy and made you feel at home, clean and everything you need, you can find inside the room, staff always very helpful and friendly, attention to help or sort out que questions or anything, definitely I well be back there
I loved it, my wife wasn’t impressed
Little bit of tlc needed, and a coat of paint, we found the bed a challenge.
A gorgeous Inn with accommodation run by 2 lovely friendly ladies. We got the ferry to Poole and wanted somewhere within an hour before heading North and this place was perfect. Breakfast amazing Loads of parking Beautiful outside beer garden A fabulous start to our driving holiday
Absolutely nothing
Very welcoming. Pub on site. Quiet location.
Was very warm when we got there as the heating had been left on.
Very welcoming and comfortable .Genial hosts and staff ,nothing seemed too much trouble .
Location & the breakfast. Hosts were fab
The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our need for late check in. Great hosts for a conversation and good breakfast. Comfy bed and pillows.
Nil
A nice dog friendly pub with good food at a reasonable price
A little scruffy in parts
Friendly!
Helpful engaging ladies who own the BA. Fabulous village, dog friendly and excellent real Ale. Fresh milk for tea in mini fridge
No dedicated parking on premises but plenty across the road
Lovely friendly host and staff Great breakfast
Nothing everything needed for an overnight stay was thete
Tipico pub inglese bella atmosfera ottima colazione stuff gentile e socievole
Nulla
The room, location, staff, draught bitter and pizza the night before, couldn't be faulted. A well kept village made for a pleasant evening stroll.
I had the English breakfast. It was fine except, the toast came on the same plate so was soggy and tasted of mushrooms, the sausage was dry and resembled a dog chew, the bacon was similarly desiccated but still edible and the butter tablet tasted rancid.
17th Century inn in a beautiful, quiet village opposite a green with tables and a church on the corner. Lovely for walkers. Great choice of drinks and food to eat for lunch and evening. Loads of character. Rooms comfortable and clean with mini fridge and good shower/bath.
Nothing really. Perhaps a fan in the room for hot weather, but we weren’t there in a heatwave. Plenty of plugs if you want to bring your own though.
Very quiet, clean. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Good beer and lovely food. Lovely big towels and fridge in room to keep fresh milk and water cold.
Nothing really not to like.
Clean and tidy. Good pub attached to unit. Friendly staff. Good food
Welcome from host and other staff Comfortable room with tea/coffee making facilities and fresh milk in a mini fridge Location
There was a clear determination that food should be served piping hot - perfect for some no doubt, but would have preferred meat items (sausages, bacon, liver) to be less well cooked and hence less dry
Location. It is super cute and the pub is nice. The bed was comfy and surprisingly enough space
The tea and the coffee maker could've done with a good scrub
Full of character, the staff were super friendly and the location was impressive.
Was dated. Needs a facelift.
Owners were lovely and so accommodating to my kids
Everything about this place
great food, atmosphere, friendly staff, nice room, lovely quiet area. Would stay again
nothing
Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great food.
Nothing
Rustic old pub, lovely log fires, a decent evening meal and happy to see that the kitchen did not close until 8.30pm (just after our arrival) even though we were the only ones in the bar at that time.
When we arrived, the guest room was cold, although the excuse given was that the thermostat was in the bar which was quite warm. Antiquated shower plumbing over the bath which even though I accidently pressed it to get water out of the taps, I couldn't get it back into shower mode until the morning, meaning my son had to crouch under the bath taps to have his evening shower. Breakfast was just so-so with strange choice of options (cereals OR cooked breakfast for example) and the fried eggs looking as if they had been scraped off the no-longer non-stick frying pan...
Lovely venue in a very picturesque village. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The pub had a real community feel. The breakfasts and the food in the pub were very much enjoyed. The rooms were very comfortable and it was really quiet overnight with only birdsong to wake you up in the morning!
Not the property’s issue but the situation is not very well linked to public transport so car or cab necessary from train station (Tisbury etc) but the hosts kindly provided a list of reliable cab companies.
Old country pub with a warm welcome
Nothing
Everything was very good upgraded us to biggest room when they had problems with the water heater in the shepherds hut! We actually preferred the room we had lots of space warm and comfortable! When the latch on the door to the rooms was dropped they offered us a free drink whilst we waited which we didn’t mind at all! All round perfect location and would definitely stay again and recommend!
Nothing
Loved the location Staff were great Locals friendly Room had all amenities including a little fridge The two Steak £25 deal offer excellent Good Real Ales Fabulous upmarket Deli farmshop nearby
Room tended to be chilly at times but heating put on when asked for
Traditional pub with loads of character
Nothing
Quiet comfortable room. Meals were very good, especially the Steak & Kidney pie. Lovely location situated in a quiet village.
BarFood, drink and bar ambience . Warm room.
Stayed in outside room. WiFi didn’t connect and no Tv Breakfast you could have full English or fruit @ yoghurt or cereal. But not all 3. A quality establishment would offer you all 3 if required.
Great little pub with lovely beer and friendly staff. Steeped in history in the middle of beautiful Wiltshire. Fabulous stay. Thanks.
Nothing!
Breakfast and evening meal excellent. Shower refreshing. Easy to find and parking simple
Nothing major at all
Quiet location, great staff and excellent food.

Beautiful place to stay lovely surroundings would definitely stay again. Great value for money. Ideal for family or group of friends.
Nothing not to like .
Comfortable, clean room. Excellent breakfast.
Shower control challenging!
Good breakfast and atmosphere
Nothing
The hosts were amazing and made us feel at home. We stayed above a 16th century inn and enjoyed both the food and drinks at the Benet Arms. Beautiful roaring fire and lots of activities in the pub with lots of characters. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant too! Lots of little touches in the room which I loved but mainly it was Denise and Deborah, the landladies extrodinaire that made it a special stay!
A bit chilly but can't fault anything else.
Good breakfast, and a good nights sleep.
Nice location and a friendly welcome. Decent though limited breakfast (cereal OR yoghurt and fruit OR full English). A little fridge with milk and water was nice. Decent WiFi. Free parking.
Could be a lot cleaner. Room wasn’t refreshed for the second night of my stay. The view out the back was very shabby and could easily be better. The breakfast room was cluttered and the chairs have seen better days.
L'ambiance d'un ancien relais de poste.
Pas de ménage pendant 3 jours dans la chambre.. et la température assez fraîche.
Friendly welcoming staff. Great location Great food
The only thing is probably to have a blind in bathroom
Really sweet shepherd's hut - very comfortable.
Lovely breakfast good hosts friendly atmosphere cosy place to stay will visit again
Nothing to improve on perfect stay for us
Always polite and friendly
Lovely room, friendly staff. Great bath. Yummy breakfast. Attention to detail, like a small bottle of milk in the room fridge.
Location is great.
Location was good, well recommended
All good
The place was quite charming and the room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. The English breakfast was very well prepared

Kettle had black bits in it (probably tea leaves)and water. Coffee mugs dirty and stained.
breakast list too complicated !!!
breakfast list too complicated use earlier list
Quaint village pub setting & the hostesses were lovely.
Rooms were very hot despite the fan in the room. Overall the room was a little ‘tired’ but was adequate for our needs
From the time We arrived we were made to feel at home by Debbie and Denyse along with all the staff. We had a lovely double room with on suite. The food was excellent and plenty of it the area was perfect for us visiting friends and other attractions. Debbie and Denyse were perfect hosts and we will be back at the Benett Arms. Good luck to them all in making the place a bigger success than it already is. Thank you all. From Sue and Steve ( Room 2 )
Nothing all was great
Very welcoming hosts with a pub and rooms located in a lovely quiet village. Room was very clean and well equipped.
The staff & owners we great And the Bennet Arms Ale was excellent
Good staff and very friendly
New owners were very welcoming, giving us advice on local places to visit. Bar staff also helpful and friendly. Good wholesome pub food and cooked breakfast. 😀
Such a pretty room, and the hospitality tray was very welcome. SO quiet, which is what we wanted. The bed was very comfortable. We had the cooked breakfast each morning which was exceptional. The owners and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. We ate in the pub each night which was a lovely experience.
