St. Thomas Bed and Breakfast

Excellent location for the airport in a quiet area. Don't expect luxury, its a charming B&B, with really good facilities. Bathroom is a bit dated, but everything was perfectly functional. Aris, the owner, was welcoming and served us up with a comprehensive breakfast.

Bathroom could do with some modernisation but really it was an ideal place to stay rather than in an anonymous and much more expensive airport hotel.

Aris was very kind and accommodating. The garden and pool offered a peaceful sanctuary. The room was tidy and clean. I appreciated the sustainable choices with the shampoo, shower wash AND conditioner, which hardly any places offer conditioner. Aris offers then in refillable container and the quality of products are great. The breakfast was delicious and a lovely variety of foods. Aris accommodated an early check in for me, and was very helpful suggesting places to eat and helped in getting a text.

The area outside of the bed and breakfast was more remote than expected. However, there was a wonderful restaurant just next door and a town within 10-15 minutes waking, which I enjoyed. Walking the other direction towards the highway, was not as lovely of a walk.

Al check in (c'era scritto dalle 12) ore 12.30 circa non c'era nessuno. Ci ha aperto una signora anziana e ha dovuto chiamare non so forse il figlio, per farsi dire che camera avevamo Camera molto piccola Lenzuola federe e asciugamani avevano odore di umido Cuscini di due tipi, entrambi molto rigidi e pieni mi è venuta la cervicale al check out ore 8.15 non abbiamo visto nessuno e lasciato la chiave su una scrivania

We chose this bed and breakfast because we needed a convenient place near the airport before our next flight. The photos online looked great, and to be fair, the check-in process was very easy. However, the actual experience did not live up to the pictures or the high price tag. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find the property looks much older and less maintained than advertised. Here are the main issues we encountered during our single-night stay: Inaccessibility: There are a lot of steep stairs that were not mentioned online, making it very difficult to haul our luggage up. Poor maintenance: The main lights in our bedroom did not even turn on. Disappointing breakfast: It is advertised as a "generous breakfast," but it was incredibly basic. We were served just one poached egg, a single slice of cheap supermarket cheese, some toast, and jam. Lack of privacy: Instead of eating outside or in a dedicated guest area, breakfast is served directly at the host’s personal dining table inside their living room, which felt uncomfortable. Summary: Our disappointment is proportional to the high price we paid. For a single night near the airport, this did not offer good value for money.

Der pool ist schön gross und die zimmer waren von der grössen her auch optimal und hübsch

Es war grundsätzlich alles in Ordnung, allerdings ist die Organisation leider sehr schlecht. Es gibt keinen richtigen Empfang und vor Ort war hauptsächlich ein älterer Herr, der nur gebrochen Englisch sprechen konnte. Dadurch kam es immer wieder zu Missverständnissen, besonders gegen Ende unseres Aufenthalts. Der ältere Herr war teilweise auch ziemlich unfreundlich bzw. schroff im Umgang mit uns. Der WLAN-Code war beispielsweise falsch angegeben. Als wir nachfragten, wurde uns sinngemäss gesagt: „Ihr seid doch nicht dumm, versucht es nochmals.“ Dabei war der Code tatsächlich falsch aufgeschrieben und auch der QR-Code funktionierte nicht. In der Beschreibung im Zimmer wurde ausserdem ein Taxi-Service angeboten. Als wir danach fragten, hiess es jedoch lediglich, wir sollten es mit Uber versuchen. Die Unterkunft liegt ziemlich abgelegen. Bushaltestellen, Geschäfte und insbesondere die Stadt Athen sind weit entfernt. Selbst die Geschäfte bzw. das Zentrum des nächstgelegenen Dorfes sind etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt. Vieles dort hatte geschlossen, obwohl es im Internet als geöffnet angezeigt wurde. Uber-Fahrten werden auf Dauer teuer, weshalb man ohne Auto praktisch mitten im Nirgendwo ist. Am letzten Tag fragten wir, ob wir nach dem Check-out noch etwas länger am Pool bleiben dürften, da unser Flug erst früh am nächsten Morgen ging. Uns wurde mehrmals gesagt, das sei überhaupt kein Problem. Was man ebenfalls wissen sollte: Der Besitzer wohnt im selben Haus. Seine Wohnung bzw. sein Bereich ist zum Pool hin ausgerichtet und er benutzt den Pool gelegentlich ebenfalls. Wirklich viel Privatsphäre hat man dadurch nicht. Wir liessen nach Absprache einige unserer Sachen am Pool zurück. Später konnten diese teilweise nicht mehr gefunden werden, wodurch es erneut zu Missverständnissen und einer unangenehmen Situation kam. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt an sich okay, und vieles hätte mit einer besseren Organisation und Kommunikation problemlos vermieden werden können.

Beautiful back yard and pool!

The place is beautiful. A large villa with a beautiful pool set in a lush garden. I did not use the pool as I was quite tired but it sure looked tempting. Both bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very clean. Details are thought of so whatever you may need is already there. Ari, the host, is very nice and the breakfast he prepared was a total feast! Well worth the money. My room had a balcony where I sat while waiting for my taxi with a great view of the countryside.

This is a lovely home stay, close to the airport with a pool. Generous breakfast and helpful, charming host.

מדובר ביח׳ ארוח בבית של משפחה. בעל הבית מאוד נחמד עם סיפור חיים מעניין ועצוב. הגענו מאוחר בלילה עם הוראת הגעה בנוסח המרוץ למיליון… עלינו קומה שלמה ברגל עם מזוודות כדי לגלות שזה רק אחד החדרים שהיזמנו ואת החדר השני היה צריך להמשיך לחפש ומצאנו אותו רק אחרי שהתקשרנו לבעל הבית והערנו אותו באמצע הלילה. היחידה המשפחתית היתה ברמה הכי פשוטה שיש שזה בסדר ביחס למחיר רק לשים את הראש ללילה ליד השדה, אבל המזגנים לא עבדו והיה נורא קשה להרדם. ארוחת הבוקר היתה דלה מאוד- לילדות לא היה מה לאכול - אכלו רק קורנפלקס.

Meget hjemligt og hyggeligt, lidt af en rodebutik i haven, men på en rar måde. Rene værelser, god taverna lige rundt om hjørnet og 12 mins biltur fra lufthavnen.

The family room is in the basement so it is nice and cool. There is a big pool and a nice garden and it is close to the airport.

The rooms and the bathroom need a more thorough cleaning. Location is good if you have a car but otherwise it would be quite difficult to get around. I asked to check out a bit later and I would have payed for it but the owner didn’t even want to talk about it. He said that the room was booked although it was available on Booking.com

I lived the proximity to the airport and the feeling you were well away from the city. Comfortable rooms in a family home with a great pool

We loved staying in this charming B&B. The setting was lovely and quiet and away from the bustle & heat of Athens. Beautiful gardens and pool. The hosts were generous and breakfasts fantastic. It is a perfect home to stay in if you are transiting through Athens….the seafood restaurant in town was fantastic. The one two doors down was fine but uninspiring…

Τίποτα. Ένα ερειπωμένο κτίριο, εγκαταλελειμμένο, χωρίς ανθρώπινη παρουσία. Δεν θα μπορούσε να μείνει άνθρωπος μέσα ούτε για ένα βράδυ. Με το που μπαίνεις στο κτίριο η οσμή από μούχλα είναι ανυπόφορη. Μπαίνοντας στο δωμάτιο αντικρίζεις ένα ν σκοτεινό χώρο με βρώμικα σεντόνια στα κρεβάτια. Το μπάνιο ήταν απίστευτο: χαρτιά μέσα στην τουαλέτα, λερωμένο καπάκι, τρίχες από ξύρισμα στον νιπτήρα και ένας καθρέφτης μέσα στην βρώμα. 3 χαρτιά υγείας ακουμπισμένα στο πενταβρωμικο πάτωμα. Θα μπορούσα να γράφω μέρες…Εννοείται ότι αφήσαμε το κλειδί στην γλάστρα που το βρήκαμε και εξαφανιστήκαμε. Δεν είχα διάθεση να κάνω αρνητικό σχόλιο ωστόσο σε αίτημα για επιστροφή χρημάτων ο ιδιοκτήτης (;) ανέφερε στην εξυπηρέτηση της booking ότι δεν πήγαμε ποτέ στο κατάλυμα. Εννοείται ότι έστειλα τις φωτογραφίες από το εσωτερικό και ακόμα περιμένω να διεκπεραιώσει το αίτημα μου. Φυσικά αναγκάστηκα να ψάξω και να πληρώσω άλλο κατάλυμα μετά από πολύωρο οδικό ταξίδι και κανένα σημείο ζωής από τον ιδιοκτήτη ή την πλατφόρμα.

Location perfect near airport. Lovely house and rooms. Host also provided breakfast before we left. Excellent restaurant next door, big portions and stays open very late.

Wir konnten die Unterkunft, nach einer perfekten Anleitung die wir erhalten haben Unterkunft und Zimmer sofort finden. Das Haus befindet sich in einem wunderschönen Garten und ist sehr liebevoll dekoriert. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles ist sehr gepflegt, leider war es zu kalt um den Pool zu nutzen, der jedoch an diesem Tag professionell gereinigt wurde. Auch die Taverne, nur etwa 150m entfernt ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Essen ist dort reichlich und günstig. Das Frühstück war auch reichlich und sehr gut, der Eigentümer Aris ist äußerst nett und zuvorkommend. Wir waren auch mit einem kleinen Hund (Chihuaha) dort der sich sofort sehr wohl gefühlt hat. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Abgesehen von der Taverne gibt es nicht wirklich etwas dass man zu Fuß kurzfristig erreichen könnte. Für Supermarkt usw. muss man auf jeden Fall das Auto nutzen. Da wir die Unterkunft jedoch nur gewählt haben auf Grund der Nähe zum Flughafen ist das für diesen Zweck überhaupt kein Thema.

Das Haus und der Garten sind hübsch gestaltet, wunderschön grün bewachsen und insgesamt ruhig. Unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Balkon. Die Dusche hatte einen sehr guten Wasserdruck.

Leider war alles etwas eingestaubt, die Toilette war schmutzig und die Bettwäsche/ Handtücher wirkten nicht gründlich gereinigt. Wir hatten ein Zweibettzimmer gebucht und leider ein Doppelzimmer erhalten ohne nachvollziehbare Begründung. Das hat unseren Schlaf sehr gestört.

The property was very close to an exccelent Greek Taverna

The property is damn dirty, FILTHY I might say, the person that cares after it seems not to clean thoroughly, but we found him sunbathing with other guests. Almost everything was dirty and we found a bug in the fridge. Beds were wigling. The entrance in the house is in fact the 'office' of the hosts. I try to upload photos, but the application returns an error. I will try later on, maybe will succeed.

The owner was lovely. It was clean and quiet

We stayed in the property for one night as it was conveniently located for the airport. The house is lovely, with a very nice garden and substantial pool. Lots of trees and flowers, a beautiful jasmine as you walk through the door, which smelt lush. The host was friendly and served a great breakfast by the pool.

Δεν ήταν ξεκάθαρο ότι δεν νοικιάζουμε ολόκληρο το σπίτι. Μας έβαλαν 6 άτομα να κοιμηθούμε σε ένα υπόγειο. Οι χώροι δεν ήταν καθαροί και ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν στον χώρο όλη την ώρα.

Die Lage, es ist sehr weit ab von dem Ort. Hunde haben die ganze Nacht gebellt, so dass wir nicht schlafen konnten. Die Mail, wo der Schlüssel liegt kam, lange nachdem wir angekommen waren und dem Vermieter hinterher telefonieren mussten.

Très mal situé si pas de voiture. Un bus à minimum 10mn. Au vu de son emplacement nous n'avons pas dormi sur place. Rentré le matin à 10h30, il terminait de nettoyer le jardin avec un souffleur bien bruyant. Nous avons demandé 1h de plus pour quitter l'hôtel car grosses averses? Le patron nous à répondu UN NON CATÉGORIQUE. Bref je ne recommande pas et je n'y retournerai pas non plus.

Wir bekamen vorab eine ausführliche Beschreibung der Anfahrt und wie wir spät noch ins Haus kommen und unser Zimmer finden können. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und liebevoll angerichtet.

On cherchait près de l'aéroport, et avec des horaires compliqués (arrivée à minuit !). Quelques difficultés à trouver, mais tout s'est bien passé. Un petit déjeuner "familial" et bien sympathique.

De tuin met zwembad is prachtig. We hebben hier heerlijk een middag kunnen ontspannen aan het einde van een lange reis door Griekenland. Met een leuk spelletje schaak in de tuin! De volgende ochtend waren we snel op het vliegveld. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk. De taveerne vlakbij, was helaas dicht precies die dag, maar in het stadje op een paar minuten rijden vonden we een simpel maar erg goed grillrestaurant/snackbar met de beste gyros van onze reis.

2 détails du plus anecdotique au plus contrariant: Le pain du petit déjeuner aurait pu être un peu plus à la hauteur que des toasts froids et un œuf dur à la place d’un œuf à la coque. Plus gênant : alors que j’avais demandé s’il était possible que l’on vienne me chercher à 20h on me répond que ce service n’est pas assuré. Ce sont des choses qui arrivent mais lorsque je suis les instructions de commander un Uber et qu’une Uber s’avère être un escroc, que le lendemain j’apprends que d’autres clients bénéficier de l’avantage d’être récupéré à l’aéroport, là je suis moins contente.

Good breakfast , host was informative and friendly. It was ten minutes to the airport. There was a nice yard but when we were there the weather didn’t cooperate.

It is close to the airport and close to the freeway. I would not spent my whole vacation here, put for a few days in between other points it is perfect. They have a lovely garden and a great pool.

Ο οικοδεσποτης ήταν ένας αγενεστατος απότομος και απαράδεκτος "Κύριος" 11:03 μόλις φτάσαμε είχε βγάλει τα πράγματα μας έξω χωρίς να είμαστε μέσα. Εκτός του ότι η σχέση ποιότητας - τιμής απείχε κατά πολύ μιας και ήταν ημιυπόγειο και το πληρώσαμε για πολλά παραπάνω. η καθαριότητα ήταν κακή με γαριασμενες Πετσέτες κακά στρώματα και Σκόνη παντού. Η πισίνα δε είχε χώματα!!! Το βασικό όμως πρόβλημα είναι ο οικοδεσποτης ο οποίος είναι προσβλητικός και φωνακλας.... Οριακή προσωπικοτητα .

Super easy and beautifully quiet gem tucked away close to the airport. We only stayed one night with our rental car after landing before driving out but it was easy to find, parking was easy inside the gates, and she had emailed clear instructions for how to get in and access our room. I’d emailed about breakfast and that was in our room waiting for us on the counter and in the fridge. A great start to the day, the fig jam and fresh orange juice were a highlight! We are it on our patio overlooking a lovely garden and pool area we would have loved to enjoy if we had more time.

De B&B is dichtbij de luchthaven erg schoon en met een gezellige tuin met zwembad. Het bed is goed en het ontbijt prima met jus d orange brood yoghurt fruit en dat àlles verzorgd door een vriendelijke man. Om binnen te komen kregen we duidelijke instructies.

Το προσωπικό είναι διακριτικό και ευγενέστατο!! Το δωμάτιο ήταν πεντακάθαρο και πολύ ωραία διακοσμημένο! Το παράθυρο του μπάνιου μου ήταν τεράστιο και κοίταζε το δάσος. Ζεστό νερό όλη μέρα για το ντουζ! Από το μπαλκόνι έβλεπες το βουνό και την πισίνα. Η πισίνα είναι διαθέσιμη όλο τον χρόνο!! Το κρεββάτι άνετο τα παπλώματα απαλά, είχε καφέ για να φτιάξεις μέσα στο δωμάτιο και κουλουράκια για να τον συνοδεύσεις! Τηλεόραση, δωρεάν Wi Fi, γραφείο, ψυγείο, ευρύχωρη ντουλάπα, 2 κομοδίνα για τα πράγματά σου! Αν ζητούσες πρωινό, ο κύριος Άρης σου έφερνε πρωινό υπερπαραγωγή! Το hotel έχει σούπερ μάρκετ κοντά, 4 λεπτά με τα πόδια. Είναι τόσο κοντά στην πόλη που μπορείς να πας με τα πόδια σε 6 λεπτά και ευτυχώς δεν ακούς το θόρυβο της πόλης. Επίσης τα μαγαζιά εστίασης σου φέρνουν ό,τι επιθυμήσεις στην πόρτα σου!

Όλα ήταν υπέροχα, δεν έχω να πω κάτι αρνητικό!!

חדר קצת מוזר. המקרר והקפה היו בתוך ארון ומגירה - יש גם חדרים נוספים אולי בהם הסידור קצת נח יותר.

מיקום מעולה, 10 ד נסיעה מהשדה ההוראות היו מדוייקות מצאנו בקלות באמצע הליה החדר פשוט מתוק, הרגשה של בית ממליץ בחום לשהייה של לפני או אחרי טיסה בשעה מאורחת

Отличное расположение - недалеко от аэропорта и при этом достаточно тихо. Во дворе можно припарковать машину. Очень уютный номер! Есть все необходимое и даже больше! (Вода, чай, кофе, печеньки). Отличная кровать и милый балкон. Было тихо и очень комфортно. Завтрак готовят по выбору. И в нашем случае он был очень вкусный! На ужин можно зайти в таверну чуть дальше по дороге.

Hébergement très spacieux et bien équipé.

Pour une seule nuit, en arrivant tard et en repartant tôt, c'était largement suffisant pour nous. Rien de négatif à dire.
