We recently stayed at The Amrit Goa, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. The property is a beautiful six-room estate, with each room being extremely spacious and featuring a huge, comfortable bed. The rooms have lovely furniture and modern amenities that blend perfectly with the character of the building. If you are looking for a vintage property that gives you the charm and character of old Goa while still offering modern comforts, this place is definitely worth considering. The owner also lives on the property and was extremely friendly and welcoming. She took the time to understand our preferences and gave us some really useful suggestions on places to visit and things to do around Goa. A special mention to Katherine, the property manager, who was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, warm and always had a smile on her face. And the breakfast deserves a special mention — it was absolutely delicious! The location is another big advantage. It is tucked away enough to give you that peaceful, quiet Goan experience, but is still just a short walk from the main road, the beach, local shops and cafés. We actually walked to the beach twice a day during our stay and enjoyed exploring the little shops and cafés nearby. We were two girls travelling together, and we felt very comfortable and safe throughout our stay. I would especially recommend this property for solo travellers, girls' trips or anyone looking for a peaceful and safe stay in Goa, while still being close to the beach and main road. Overall, The Amrit Goa gave us exactly what we were looking for — the charm of old Goa, beautiful architecture, modern comforts, wonderful hospitality, delicious food and a peaceful atmosphere. Also, the beach is quite close to the property and so are the various options to eat at.
Nothing to dislike
The property was close to the main road and also the beach. Perfect combo.

Everything was perfect at The Amrit Goa. Picturesque location in Candolim. Very close to the beach. The property manager took great care of us. We had absolutely no issues during the stay. Room was beautiful and spacious. Highly recommend to stay.

Clean and big rooms We were upgraded since we were travelling with a kid to a more bigger room and bed. Beach is 10 mins walkable and lots of restaurants and market nearby.

Breakfast is homemade but with professional presentation. Special shout out to the cook for Perfectly roasted golden toast Menue was good.. Location is super accessible to both main road and beach.
It's not about not liking something but just a suggestion, add one more item in breakfast. So that if someone don't like something he/she have choice. Though I liked each breakfast😋
We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect, set in quiet grounds filled with the song of birds and within 5 minutes walk from both the beach and the main road. The gardens are well maintained as is the property itself. The staff were fabulous and really went all out to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was a delight with both continental and Indian available. Strong and stable WiFi also provided. The pool was clean and safe. Our room was lovely with tea coffee and water provided. Special thanks to Ritu, Catherine and Sanjay (man Friday) for helping with restaurant recommendations, organising Taxis, assisting with laundry and tailoring our breakfast needs. There are some lovely restaurants within a 10 minute walk with coastal crave being excellent. There's a convenience store at the top of the road and plenty of places to eat and drink in the surrounding area. Goa Old town is an hour by taxi. We will certainly be returning.
Rauhallinen sijainti, mutta palvelut lähellä
Beautifully maintained and exceptionally clean and a short walk to the beach and the Main Street for restaurants etc

Property is very well maintained and near the main market. The staff is very supportive especially Sanjay bhaiya. Breakfast is also very tasty.
The main building has been beautifully restored by the owner. The Manager Anaya was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for her and the staff. Around an 8 to 10 minute walk to the fantastic sandy beach that stretches for at least a mile. Less than 5 minutes to the main road. When you get there, on the right is a shack / restaurant that serves fantastic food at very affordable prices. Definitely recommend The Goa Amrit in serenity surroundings.
Recomendo. Nice location, very close to a very calm beach by foot, and to the main road with a lot of good restaurants. Perfect breakfasts, they got it ready even when we had to depart early. The room was really nice, with AC and a mini refrigerator. All the staff were nicd and available, always willing to help booking trips and drives at a fair price. The paradise after New Delhi :)
Exceptional accomodation, facilities, hosts and location
Nothing to dislike
The Amrit Goa is a beautifully restored colonial building, nestled in a quiet, peaceful and leafy spot mid way between Candolim beach and the main road but within easy (5-10 minute) walking distance of both. Plenty of restaurants are a short walk away. The garden is laid to lawn with a good sized swimming pool and plenty of tall trees. Peacocks and exotic birds were regular visitors. The hosts (Sanjeev and Ritu) were extremely friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. When sitting out on the patio or by the pool, you wouldn't know you are only metres away from a busy road and lively beach, it is so quiet and peaceful.

We had an excellent stay at The Amrit Goa. The location is fantastic — perfectly positioned between the beach and the main street, which means you are close to everything while still enjoying peace and quiet. The property itself is beautifully maintained and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The pool area is very pleasant and a great place to unwind after a day out. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, making the stay feel personal and comfortable. A wonderful place to stay in Goa and one we would happily return to.
The location was excellent for access to a clean section of the beach and the main highstreet. The location is quiet and the staff are fantastic. The pool is good for a quick dip to cool off but is not really big enough for laps.
The room we occupied only had a wardrobe with shelves. It would have been better if there had been a proper wardrobe with a hanging rail for dresses, shirts and trousers.. Just placing some hooks on the side of the wardrobe was not sufficient. Breakfast was adequate.
If you are looking for a luxury, this could be anywhere in the world, hotel then this place is not for you. However if you want to stay in a beautiful boutique heritage home then you can’t got wrong with The Amrit. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like family and shown to our lovely, large and very clean room which ticked all the boxes on the comfortable bed, hot & good water pressure shower, surprisingly quiet fridge, TV and a/c or ceiling fan if you preferred. Each room had its own patio area, ours overlooking the pool where we enjoyed morning tea or an even glass of wine. The birds are amazing, even spotted a white-bellied sea eagle. The Amrit is located perfectly between a quieter part of the beach and the main road with plenty of dining and shopping options. It is an extremely quiet oasis amid the chaos and is a wonderful place to spend your time.
Nothing!
Love Love love this little piece of Paradise. This is a little gem in Goa, the nicest serene atmosphere, staff and the owners you cannot fault. Always there to assist you whatever your needs. Cannot recommend The Amrit highly enough, it is the only place to be. Would definitely go back in a heartbeat.
Not a thing
We loved the staff, the location, the breakfast and the place itself.
Amrit Goa - A ‘home’ away from ‘home’ After travelling over India for five weeks, we were two weary travellers seeking rest and relaxation; immediately we knew we had booked the right place!!! The Amrit Goa can be found off the main road in a leafy residential street approximately 3 to 5 minute walk from the beach and main road with bars / restaurants. We were immediately made to feel welcome by Catherine the Manager, Ritu & Sanjeev the owners, from this moment on nothing was to much trouble. We were provided with local restaurant ideas and taxis could be booked by reception if needed. Our room was well serviced on a daily basis by the lovely staff. Bottled water, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh bed linen and crisp white towels, just perfect 👌 There was always a good offering at breakfast; traditional Goan dishes, cereals / muesli, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, choice of eggs, all freshly made to order. The grounds of the Amrit Goa are constantly maintained by the friendly staff and make it an oasis to escape to after a long day at the beach or exploring the town. The swimming pool, at a perfect temperature and maintained daily. We loved cooling off here after a day at the beach. We would 100% recommend the Amrit Goa. Thank you ‘Team Amrit’ for a wonderful stay, from two well rested and relaxed travellers.
Nothing at all.
Sfeer van het resort. Mooi opgeknapt Portugees klooster. Sfeervol
De eigenaar.
Candolim Beach can be quite busy, with many tourists, shops and restaurants along the main road. We were therefore pleasantly surprised to find such a calm and quiet place to stay. Although the hotel is only a short walk from the beach and very close to the main street, you hardly notice any of the noise once you are inside. At night in particular, it was completely peaceful, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. Breakfast was freshly prepared every day, tasty and more than sufficient. It was a very good start to the day without being excessive. The staff were consistently polite and helpful. They organised our airport pickup and arranged reliable taxis whenever we needed one, which made everything easy and straightforward. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully designed. It feels well cared for. We also had a very pleasant conversation with the owner, which we truly enjoyed. Overall, it offers a good balance between being in the centre of Candolim and having a quiet retreat. We were very satisfied with our stay and would happily return.
As a general note (not related to the hotel itself), there are quite a few stray dogs in the area, especially at night, which can feel a little intimidating at times. There is also some litter in parts of Candolim, which seems to be a broader issue in Goa rather than specific to this property. This did not affect our stay at the hotel itself, which was excellent.
Warm and welcoming hosts- ended up staying last minute and they couldn’t be more accommodating. Great place with a traditional feel
Beautifully renovated house in a natural and calm setting. Really appreciated the friendly welcome and help.
Nothing to dislike. The place is much more welcoming than the pictures suggest.
This was a beautiful oasis located close to beach and the town. The owners and staff were lovely. I feel lucky that we found this place. It was really special.
Nothing, everything was perfect
The staff were incredible, from the hotel owners, to Catherine, the manageress, as well as the other property staff. From a lovely warm welcome with a cool drink, to helping us book trips & excursions. The property is beautiful & the pool is clean and refreshing. A 5 min walk to the beach, & in a quiet gardened area, but close to shops, ATMs, restaurants 5min in the other direction. Would definitely recommend & stay again.
A slightly softer mattress would have been our only feedback, but appreciate that is a personal choice.
A fantastic place, quite but also well located in lively Candolim. Owners and all staff were always very attentive.
not really
Spacious room, clean premises, quiet
Poor hospitality, no attendant around, a bit arrogant owner and manager, creepy quiet, narrow access road
Location close to the beach was excellent, and we were welcomed warmly. We enjoyed a lovely tasty breakfast every day abd a packed breakfast if we went out early. There were always someone available for any problems or queries. We especially appreciated advice on trips including arranging drivers for us, and advising on things to do.
It was almost perfect. 2 minor points for improvement. Reduced use of single use plastics, toliletries and daily water bottles. An information sheet as a starter for orientation could save many conversations and help us feel more aware of our surroundings in a new country.
The setting, the gardens were tranquil a little oasis. The room was clean and the staff friendly. You felt very welcome.
There wasn’t much natural light in the room. The aircon was very old. Didn’t use it luckily fan cooled room.
Beautiful villa in a quiet street with impeccable garden and pool area/ and with a very personal touch and indian flair. The hosts are graciuos, helpful and professional.

The breakfast was good. Loved my americano. Location was great. It was close to the beach and the all the eating joints
Good breakfast Excellent location
It was all as per my expectations
•Closeness to the Beach •Smiling n helpful Staff • Fresh Breakfast •Spacious Rooms •Clean Rooms

The Amrit Goa is very central, walkable to the beach and the street, in the heart of Candolim.Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The washrooms have all the amenities and are a good size.Breakfast is freshly prepared on order and has multiple choices.
Nothing really
A fabulous property that we couldn’t stop admiring! A stones throw away from the Main Street but you wouldn’t be able to tell as this place is quietly tucked away. The hosts were incredibly friendly and Catherine was a star when helping with any enquiries. Breakfast options as well were excellent!
WiFi wasn’t accessible in the bedrooms and only in the main areas. Not too much of a problem for us as we were only there for 1 night.
Its location is beautiful. A large spacious room. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. It’s close to the beach and away from the busy main road, you wouldn’t know that it’s there.
Nothing
A haven, so tranquil and peaceful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The villa is steeped in history and the staff were wonderful
Everything was perfect
The location and the warmth of everyone there .
I wish I could stay longer .
This was the best place we stayed in India! Gorgeous settling, wonderful people, brilliant value.

The staff were personable, welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast was always delicious with many choices and excellent, attentive service.
Amazing location, an oasis in the heart of the Candolim chaos at this time of year and a short walk to the beautiful beach. The hosts and staff were lovely, very welcoming and the place itself is beautiful and clean. The entire property was extremely well maintained. We didn’t use the pool but it looked very inviting. The room (a small villa really) was wonderful. Comfortable bed, strong AC and a ceiling fan.
Nothing!
Great location, beautiful property and great people
It is a beautiful property - great facilities. Perfect location. Clean and comfortable. Just loved it
Nothing at all - the thing I didn’t like was that I had to leave
This is one of the loveliest places I’ve stayed. A small, quiet and intimate hotel perfectly located a couple of minutes walk off the main road (a less hectic stretch of the main road but with great restaurants within minutes) and five minutes down a path to the very nicest part of Candolim beach. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was large and elegant, and spotlessly clean. The bed was big (very firm mattress, which I guess is a plus for some but not all). The pool is big enough for a proper swim and in a lovely tranquil area. Check in, payment and communications all smooth. WiFi worked fine. Highly recommended.
Literally nothing.
Whatever you see in the photos is what you get. Heaven on earth
Nothing.. in fact .. i extended my stay for 5 more nights
Beautiful swimming pool. Chatty owners and a very knowledgeable manager with great recommendations on local eateries. Quick walk to a clean deserted beach and lovely beach bars.
Nothing to dislike.
Amazing place friendly staff nice breakfast great pool quiet almost remote but 5 minutes walk to the busy main roads restaurants 5 minutes to opposite way the beaches
We had to leave LOL
The stay experience at Amrit was excellent! Some great points were - The staff, room size, cleanliness, homely food and atmosphere, 5 mins easy walk to Candolim Beach, close by access to main road
Few more options for breakfast would have been nice
Just a short walk to the main road and beach but very quiet felt like it was in the country side
Nothing to dislike
Great location away from the busy main road Lovely pool Clean comfortable room and good breakfast
No in room safe
The laid-back atmosphere made it feel easy to come and go as you please. The pool was lovely and kept maintained very well. The rooms were clean, well equipped and we made ourselves at home very quickly.
Not much. Maybe the breakfast was a little simple but that just gives you the opportunity to go and have breakfast on the beach.
Beautiful property, lovely hosts !
Good location to the beach and very beautiful accommodation
My family had a wonderful vacation at this hotel. The garden was well-maintained, lush, and green, with types of plants we had never seen before. The renovated building looks like a colonial-style postcard. We were very comfortable and will definitely return. The pool was very clean, the pond with the fish (which my daughter adored), and the kindness of the owners really made a difference. Pasamos unos días maravillosos y esperamos poder volver pronto.
Host Ritu and manager Catherine were very welcoming and helped us out a lot! We’d definitely come back here again perhaps during season to see the property and candolim in all its glory. Great stay!
My parents had a great time at The Amrit Goa - the staff went the extra mile to make sure their stay was impeccable. Wonderful experience for them overall!
Catherine and her team bent over backwards to our stay comfortable
It is in a very quiet location, but just 10 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the busy streets of Candolim. The garden is beautiful and very well kept. The swimming pool is clean and of a good size. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are just few rooms, and they are very nicely furbished and clean. Breakfast was ok, there was always a choice between English, Continental or Indian, all were freshly made, but I would have appreciated fresh fruit in the offer. I highly recommend this hotel and would like to go back!
Few things could be, however, improved. The WiFi was very bad, basically hardly working. The water pressure in the shower was weak, especially when turning on the hot water. In the room there were not enough plugs, in the sense that they were all occupied by bed sidelights, TV, kettle or other appliances, so for recharging my phone or computer I had to unplug something, because in the whole room there was not a free one.
Situated between the main market and the beach, this property is a breath of fresh air- renovated monastery and excellent spacious rooms, very personal touch from the owner Ritu. I will definitely be going there again. Swimming pool is nice.
The roads leading to property are narrow but cabs are able to reach inside the property.
Everything was perfect.
This is a B&B not a hotel. staff were friendly. The pool was lovely. Location was super quiet yet just a 10min walk to the beach. 5 mins from main drag for food/drink not beachfront.
Mattress a bit to firm for my liking. The mothballs in the bathroom meant the smell was throughout the whole room. we had to wash clean clothes back home . No bar at the pool.
Beautiful buildings in a very peaceful spot. Clean pool and super personable staff/hosts. Kind enough to make us breakfast a little earlier than normal before our flight!
AC was quite noisy, but did work! The bed was too firm for us.
A friendly family run resort. Everyone was very helpful & welcoming. Food was tasty & if you needed anything there was always someone to help. Special thanks to Ritu Catherine not forgetting Ajay.
Amrit is an Oasis ,in the otherwise busy Candolim. The best part of the Boutique Homestay is that it is very close to the beach and the street ,with lots of shacks, cafés ,bars n resturuants. The location is brilliant. The rooms are clean, comfortable n spacious . Detailed interest is taken by the staff n owners to maintain it well. The swimming pool is one of the cleanest we’ve had. Breakfast is fresh n delicious,it’s a welcome change when you are eating most meals in resturuants, one does crave for a homemade breakfast to start the day.
Nothing really
Efficient check-in friendly staff Cat and AJ. Welcomed us. Cat sent me restruant suggestions, which was much appreciated. Staff organised my taxi to and from the airport. Owners lovely, too. Ritu and her husband checked in daily with us, too. They had been to Scotland too, so we chatted about this.! Beautiful place to stay in Goa. Lovely quiet location, just what was needed afteŕ tour of india and being in delhi. The owners explained that the property was constructed from a refurbished 300 year old Jesuit Monastery. Very well done with lovely gardens and a pool Lovely quiet location and close to the beach. (Approx 5 min walk).I would say a nicer part of the beach quieter. Rooms large and comfortable high ceilings and beams cleaned daily had good Ac and a fan .TV and fridge also. Shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast included.
No dislikes, only a suggestion Bed slightly firm and fresh orange juice or fruit would be nice at breakfast, but we were always offered extra toast.
This place is a very good choice if you want to enjoy a peaceful environment in Goa, very quiet still, close to the beach and restaurants. It is far from the noisy big hotels of this area, so you will enjoy your time. Our only request to them is to improve the breakfast. Choice is very limited, no fruits, no pastries, really basic and start officially from 9am, which was very late from. In summary it is still a good choice.
Friendly staff - helps you a lot with planning things, taxi, etc. They do everything to make you feel comfortable, again a big thanks! Nice swimming pool, the room was very comfortable. The property is very clean and very beautiful!
For Indian standards this stay is overpriced, breakfast was disappointing (again, for the price you pay), the bed was too hard for me personally. There is probably a good reason for it, but they put urinal blocks in the sink, shower drain, ... Consequently the room smelled like this.
The location war very good . Tranquil , yet only 5 minutes from the Main Street of 5 minutes the other way to the beach.
The property was charming and comfortable
The whole team at the Amrit are lovely and very accommodating. We have been here for four weeks and nothing is too much trouble. Our room is large and airy and is in keeping with the property which has been converted from a Monastery. It is set in nice gardens with a lovely pool and is a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the main Candolim road. An easy flat walk to bars and restaurants of which there are too many to count. The breakfast menu is a limited one, it changes a few times a week but there is always an Indian and Egg selection as well as pancakes and yoghurt and muesli on other days. It’s served hot to order and always with a smile from RJ. The beach is a short walk away and is a quieter part of the beach which suited us much more. Our only criticism was that our bed was really too hard and uncomfortable but when we mentioned this Ritu ordered us a mattress topper which helped a lot. What gives the Amrit its high rating on this site is without doubt the owners and staff, special mention to Catherine who is amazing, always offering suggestions for restaurants and giving tips and advice on places to go and things to do and the location being peaceful and away from it all.
We missed a comfortable place to sit and chill. As is typical in Goan houses soft furnishings are not a thing. Most people visiting are usually a two or three night stay so won’t be affected but as we were there for a long period it would have been nice.
Everything was beautifully built, all details were thought of. A quiet garden, and the very clean and nice pool. Nice breakfast.
The bed in our room was very hard!
10\10 for location , rooms and staff
An improvement would be soft seating in the rooms and umbrellas at the pool. Breakfast choice was limited but acceptable.
Friendly helpful staff in a quiet location, but still close to beach, bars and restaurants.
Nothing really. I guess some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, and wifi (whilst fast enough) was too unstable for video calls.9
The location was superb, close enough to the also hustle & bustle of the town for good food & shopping but far enough away for peace and Tranquility. An oasis of calm. The pool was perfect too. Super clean throughout.
Our stay wasn’t long enough.
the swimming pool and the location near a very nice beach
the bed was a bit hard and there were mosquitos
