Rooms were dated and no hot water when wanting to shower at 8am. Had to pay extra for breakfast but rooms overpriced

The breakfast was excellent, the location is a dream directly on the beautiful coast of Valentia Island, Alan was a perfect host. We would be delighted to come back again.

Alan is an absolute star. Great for a chat, very warm and welcoming and will be able to give you all the tips for the local spots. The view from room was incredible! I was very happy just sitting and watching the sea for hours in the evenings. The room was lovely and comfortable and Alan made a lovely breakfast in the mornings too. Valentia is such a beautiful spot to visit and Alans place was perfect! Thank you.

The view from the breakfast area and from the bedroom was amazing. The bedroom was big and had everything I needed and was clean . The breakfast was wonderful with hot and cold options and plenty of coffee. The host Alan was very welcoming and helpful. He made a great recommendation for dinner and told me the easiest way to get there. Really enjoyed my Valentia experience staying at Horizon View Lodge

This is not a luxury stay but the price was great and the location was beautiful. I liked everything.

Bedroom was comfortable & clean. The view from the balcony in the breakfast room was amazing! Plenty of choice for breakfast too. Alan, the host, was lovely! Would definitely stay again

Некоторые элементы интерьера требуют замены. Больше всего требует замены зеркало в ванной комнате. Портит общее отношение. В радиусе 20 километров очень сложно найти магазины. Все нужно брать с собой. На 5 звёзд не дотягивает отель, но в общем это очень приятное место для отдыха.

Der Gastgeber Alan hat uns freundlich empfangen und uns einen Tee und dem Balkon mit Seeblick serviert. Auch das Zimmer hatte den atemberaubenden Blick auf‘s Meer und war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Abends konnten wir den Sonnenuntergang gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen auf dem Gemeinschaftsbalkon genießen. Am nächsten Morgen bekamen wir für 10€ ein super original irisches Frühstück serviert. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung!

Die Möbel sind etwas abgenutzt und das Bett war etwas unbequem.

Great host, wonderful view

Alan is the most welcoming and lovely host. We loved being there and especially loved the balcony with stunning views out into the horizon. The balcony is always open with ample seating, cushions and blankets so the incomparable view can be enjoyed right into the evening. Breakfast was delicious, Full Irish and a range of yoghurts, cereals and fruit. Our room had the same outstanding view as the balcony, a great shower and all the amenities you could need. The location is but a 15 minute stroll into Knightstown or the stunning Glanleam beach (covey with soft sand, stones and verdant vegetation). A home away from home, run by a lovely, helpful and kind host, we will definitely be back! Thanks Alan!

The View was spectacular matched by the extensive breakfast. Everything just right. Even the evening food recommendation was spot on My onward travel potentially had issues and host made sure i had the option to return and checked in with me later. A really human touch and really appreciated.

Alan runs an exceptionally awesome bed and breakfast and we book here every time we possibly can. The rooms are neat,the amenities provided well thought of and the breakfast is what we talk about the most

Great contact with the host, Alan, from the moment I booked. He was available to welcome me to the property and help with settling in, booking evening meals in local hostelry. I was travelling alone by motorcycle and appreciated being able to park it under the cover of the property verandah to protect from the elements. The property has a truly outstanding outlook which could be enjoyed from the guest lounge and adjacent open terrace. This is a comfortable and homely establishment and I would not hesitate to return if I found myself in this beautiful area in future.

Everything perfect and a super lovely host!

Alan was a gracious host and helpful with anything we needed and even made dinner reservations for us in town. The property is a great location with easy access to all the local attractions and places to visit (Bray Head/Kerry Cliffs/Portmagee/Valentia Lighthouse/too many to mention). It had AMAZING views, even from the bed in our room! Our room was very comfortable and clean for the 3 of us. The Irish Breakfast was superb and the best we had during our 10 day stay in Ireland!

The weather, but Alan has no control over that :) Our Skellig Michael landing cancelled due to rough seas, but that's always the chance you take.

Alan est un hôte très accueillant. Nous avons pu échanger avec lui sur la pêche en Irlande, et d'autres aspects de la vie maritime. Il nous avait réservé une table à l'hôtel de Knight's Town, seule possibilité pour dîner en ville. Très belle vue sur la mer depuis la salle à manger.

Der Gastgeber ist super nett und hat uns mit offenen Armen empfangen! Er konnte uns viel über Irland und die Geschichte des Landes erzählen. Das Zimmer hatte einen grandiosen Ausblick, man war direkt am Meer und hat auf den Leuchtturm geschaut!
