Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The accommodation is close to the train station in Dromod and nearby to the location of the event that I did attended last night. The room is pretty big for one person but couldn’t complain as it was very comfy. The staff were all very kind, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent and the serving is quite big for one person.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026We had dinner in the bar on a Friday evening in June and were impressed. There were a number of daily specials to choose from and the food was very good and plentiful. We had a nice walk around the small sleepy village taking in the harbour followed by a couple of drinks in the bar. The room was tidy, bed comfortable and a good shower (hardly any traffic on the road outside). Breakfast was 9 to 12 in the bar and was also very good, with lots to choose from.

We've eaten lunch twice at the Brandywell, and the food was lovely, and the breakfast was one of the best that I have eaten in a long time. The location for our event was excellent. When in Ireland again, I will try and pop in for lunch again. Lovely town Dromod.

Reviewed May 6, 2026Staff were very friendly, and very helpful. Jo was very helpful on arrivial checking us in and providing information on taxi services. Food in the bar was lovely. Breakfast was included, with a very varied menu. Rooms are spacious with all facilities included. Beds were very comfortable and very quiet at night time. Barman was lovely, couldn't check in enough and made sure we were well looked after. Would definitiely stay again.

Reviewed Mar 4, 2026The staff were very so lovely the food was amazing, freshly made well priced and great portions, for the breakfast which was included we had the choise of anything on the large and varied menu truly something for everyone, the room was warm clean and comfortable we could'nt fault our stay we do a lot off weekends away and the Brandywell has been our favorite we are looking forward to going back .

Reviewed Nov 5, 2025Staff were lovely and extremely helpful when we were struggling to book a taxi, room was cosy and comfortable. Property is located walking distance from train station (10 minutes). Great breakfast provided.
We stayed for a wedding and found it very difficult to get taxis. Taxis were very expensive when we could find them. Not a fault of the property but just something to bear in mind if not driving.
