La nostra esperienza in questo B&B è stata purtroppo deludente e al di sotto delle aspettative. la stanza passabole e il bagno descritto come privato su Booking ma in realtà in comune . La host è risultata estremamente invadente. Nonostante avessimo chiarito fin dall'inizio di avere un inglese di livello basilare, l'host ha continuato a intrattenerci a lungo con discorsi prolissi, arrivando persino a chiedermi la mia età personale e a chiamare mio marito 'baby', creando un clima di eccessiva e sgradevole confidenza. Questa insistenza è proseguita anche a colazione, privandoci totalmente della privacy e della tranquillità. Viste queste premesse, non possiamo assolutamente consigliare la struttura.

The host was extremely attentive and clearly wanted to make sure we were happy during our stay. That said, we found the level of personal attention and interaction unusually intense and, at times, uncomfortable. The host repeatedly insisted on serving us coffee, sat with us for extended periods, and was physically and personally familiar in ways we did not expect from a B&B host, including touching us, blowing kisses, winking, and sitting very closely with my husband on the sofa. Future guests should be aware that the host is exceptionally—and unusually—interactive and attentive, including in ways that some guests may find more personal than they are accustomed to. Unfortunately, breakfast was also a significant disappointment. The eggs appeared to have been cooked previously and reheated; they were visibly green and had clearly spoiled, so we could not eat them. The property itself is beautiful and the room was excellent, but because of the overall experience, particularly the breakfast and the level of personal attention, we would not choose to stay here again.

Gebucht mit eigenem Bad und TV. Vor Ort musste ein Gemeinschaftsbad genutzt werden. Einen TV gab es in einem der Zimmer nicht. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr sehr kommunikativ... Ruhe gibt es nur auf dem Zimmer.

No tea/coffee facility, no TV in room, very noisy power shower in other rooms was very disturbing, very nosy and slightly creepy landlady (she came into our room when we were out in evening to close window we'd left open for ventilation.) We generally felt uncomfortable when in her presence.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room although some drinks were prepared for us by the host. The host is exuberant and trying to be helpful but it was a little overwhelming for us.

Sadly shower doors didn't fit properly and water leaked all over floor which I had to mop up with spare towel. Sink waste also leaked and ended up on floor. Owners must have known about it as bowl had been placed under waste to catch water but it wasn't large enough as most of the sink water ended up in it and overflowed! Breakfast ok, but not, in my opinion, as good as reviews suggested.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026The owner, Suzanne was an absolute doll. Extremely cheerful and wanting to please. The home was beautifully decorated. We loved the crown molding, chandeliers and bedding set. The breakfast had many choices. We were sorry that we stayed only one night and would highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026The location was elevated relative to the surroundings. So the view from Clonoughter Heights was panoramic. Ambience of the place was very peaceful. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. Suzanne was an incredible host. She communicated with me even before we arrived about when we will be arriving. We were greeted by her husband when we arrived and he went out of his way to prepare coffee for us. Every personal touch was surprisingly delightful and we felt the warmth beyond our imagination.

Reviewed Oct 21, 2025Alles sehr sauber. Freundlicher Empfang mit Kaffee und Keksen. Sehr bequemes Bett. Gutes, ausreichendes Frühstück, die Gastgeberin hat mehr angeboten, als wir essen konnten. Parkplätze auf dem Grundstück vorhanden. Etwas abgelegene Lage, zum Abendessen muß man ins nächste Dorf fahren, aber es sind nur ca. 10 km, also geht noch.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2024Both hosts, Suzanne and Shamus, made us both extremely welcome. Everything was just perfect and we HIGHLY recommend anyone to use their wonderful facility. Our breakfast was better than expected and a lot of food. The whole place was extremely clean, oh so quiet and we slept extremely well . A lovely, very welcoming, friendly and kind couple.
