We stayed here two years ago and were so delighted with the location, amenities, spaciousness, and great breakfast and tea that we came back. Generous, helpful, responsive, and kind hostess. We enjoyed our stay again!

Totally charming, exceeded expectations and Catherine could not have tried harder to make sure we had a nice stay- without being intrusive or otherwise overly fussy.

Peaceful and quaint, extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very modern. The bedding was plush and very comfortable. No AC, but fans were there for use.

the host was welcoming and friendly the facilities are incredible. the host has put alot of thought into attention to detail of the room, with 4 poster bed, electric lights on the tap and very comfortable room and surroundings the grounds feel secluded and secure there is a hut at the side of the rooms where you can sit for an evening drink or just to relax the breakfast is all on the table or in the fridge when you arrive, so isn't the most amazing feature compared with B&Bs where a cooked breakfast is provided, however the breakfast was more than adequate and a generous portion of food provided. Overall all things considered this is by far the best property I stayed in on my combined Wales & Ireland trip, all the other properties were good and there were 5 in total that I stayed at

Catherine was very accommodating for breakfast. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of breakfast foods and each day she asked if we needed anything restocked or if there was anything additional that we would like. Catherine is very knowledgeable about the area and recommended beautiful places to visit which were off the beaten tourist path. She also gave us helpful tips about navigating it all. This was priceless for us! It enriched our visit in many ways.

The owner is wonderful and did everything to make our stay more comfortable. The location is in a lovely, quiet area and the room was very large, clean and had everything we needed.

Everything was lovely, the room/chalet was beautiful, very comfortable, and everything you'd need was provided. Catherine was really good and helpful, and offered to get us anything else we could possibly have needed. There was a fridge stocked with food items for a continental breakfast (cold meats and cheese, yoghurts, fruits etc), two types of bread and fresh scones, two types of cereal, a toaster, microwave, kettle, and French press with 3 coffee blends provided and loads of tea options. The location was very good so we wouldn't have needed to go far for a hot breakfast if we had wanted that, though what was provided was plenty for us. The room had a beautiful four poster bed that was very ornate and, most importantly, extremely comfortable. There was an ensuite with a waterfall shower and toiletries provided, along with robes and slippers. The set of chairs and table outside the room was perfect for sitting out and enjoy the sun in the lovely courtyard area. Everything was just perfect, we were sad to leave. Would definitely stay again!

We have stayed here many times. You have your own suite, stlylishly and comfortably furnished, with the owners close by, unobtrusively, yet instantly and happily helpful if you need anything. It has always been a delight.

Our stay at the Carriage Houses at Beechpark House was exceptional in every way! When we arrived at the property (which is lovely and in a quiet, shaded area), our host, Catherine, was there to greet us and to show us around the carriage house where we'd be staying and to answer any questions that we had. The carriage house itself is beautiful and cozy--the first thing you will see is a spacious living area with sofa, television, and dining table (already set for us), and a well-stocked kitchen with everything we could have needed to make breakfast in the morning: eggs, granola, brown bread, delicious assorted jams from Big Red Kitchen, etc. Catherine already had homemade scones (which we devoured!) set out on the table for us as well--she did a lot during our trip to make sure that we were comfortable, even offering to drive us to Bunratty Castle when we thought our taxi had gotten lost. We cannot say enough about her hospitality! As for the bedroom, it is fantastic and features gorgeous antique twin bed frames and extremely comfortable mattress and bedding--we slept very soundly both nights because of how comfortable we were. The connecting bathroom is also well appointed! If we are fortunate enough to return to the Bunratty area, we would love to stay at the Carriage Houses again!

Simply the Best! From arrival to departure, Katherine provides warm, safe, welcoming, stimulating and relaxing environs for all to enjoy. Her taste in furnishing and equipping the units is flawless and charming. All the modern conveniences in terms of equipment, but also a trip into a very comforting and luxurious past. The detailed, thoughtful appointments and furnishings are matched only by Katherine's genuinely friendly and helpful attitude. Can't wait to get back again!!

It was beautiful! Easy access to our room and taking in luggage. Close to very good food and gas. Catherine is a wonderful host!! She was so kind and helpful! She recommended we go to the Kilkee Cliffs! I was so happy she did!

Catherine O'Connell invested heavily in converting the carriage house of a lovely country estate house into several beautifully finished apartment-sized suites. The results are spectacular. We spent four nights there, the first stop in a circular auto tour of central Ireland. The spacious and comfortable unit was individually decorated with serious panache. I especially admired a large fossilized ammonite and a beautiful coffee table book that lovingly portrays local old-timers and tells their fascinating tales. Housekeeping was excellent, breakfast was fine, advice was great, and we enjoyed meeting Catherine and her two horses. Parking was easy. The area boasts Limerick, Shannon, Galway and Ennis, among other nice cities and towns. From castles and castle ruins to sheepdog demonstrations, from stone-age forts and the famous Cliffs of Moher to beautiful Loch Derg, the Carriage Houses at Beechpark are located at the center of an abundance of attractions. Catherine provided our first base of exploration for our trip, and it proved to be an inspired choice.

We had zero complaints. Even the weather cooperated: for the first six days there were thunder clouds on the horizon each day, but we never got wet. How is that even possible?

Beautiful spot, peaceful, calm, gorgeous comfy four poster bed, great tea and coffee and food - really loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

Weather had sort of screwed up our plans for the afternoon before check-in, and when we arrived, hoping for an early check-in, they were super friendly and worked with us so we weren't stuck waiting in the car. The cottage was luxurious and the staff took amazingly good care of us. The next time we're in Shannon, I know where I'll be staying!!!

The consistent quality throughout, the French design beds, the 1000 thread linen, the decor, soft carpet, the continental breakfast variety provided, the fresh scones on arrival, no other guest noise... plus Catherine's wonderful welcome and surprise parting Easter gift!

What not to like! Fabulous accommodation -- well-appointed and beautifully decorated, the most comfortable bed ever (could've slept for days!), lovely grounds, great location close to attractions, hikes, food, and the most wonderful and accommodating hosts

Would have liked a night light, had to leave on the bathroom light all night to avoid disorientation on waking during the night.

This property is a beautifully decorated carriage house with modern amenities. The beds are really comfortable and the fridge was stocked with fresh breads, eggs, cheese, butter, milk and smoked salmon and bacon. Catherine was very friendly and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed. She also let us meet her horses and gave us directions to some things we could do that were away from the tourist areas. If we were to come again, we would definitely stay longer instead of moving to another place.

Excellent!!! Especially the two trees that were grown together after reaching 6ft tall, and thus forming a single large natural arch between the trees!! The cottages were exquisitely furnished, and each one was decorated with unique pieces that appeared to have been collected over time. I felt very much at home at The Carriage House!! Everything was immaculately clean, and the kitchen was well stocked, and organized!! So when we arrived rather late in the day, we found a lovely surprise in the fridge... Cathrine, our spectacular host who thought of everything, had put fresh OJ, Canadian bacon, lovely cheese, and a selection of 4 handmade preserves for us. There was coffee and milk available, and every day Cathrine would check with us about what we might need from the store, and she brought us some fresh croissants and scones, daily!!!The rooms were large and soundproof. Everything was located on the first floor, so no stairs to climb!! There's a thick concrete wall that provides some privacy, across from our rooms. Cathrine had a cutout of a horseshoe in both sides of the wall. She had that done to provide some distance for perspective, and it was a sweet gesture to make the wall look not as much as a barrier. We spent a month in Ireland, visiting different locations and usually spending 2-5 days at each. The Carriage House was our last destination before going back home. We loved it so much that we wished we could have stayed there earlier in our travels, because we would have definitely extended our stay there!!
