Les propriétaires et leurs employés sont extrêmement gentils et accueillants. Ils nous ont conseillés et ont organisé des activités à des prix tres convenables. Le manager nous a même accompagné gratuitement en voiture sur les sites car il avait le temps. L hôtel est un Havre de paix a proximité de la ville. La piscine, au mileu d un beau jardin. est très propre et s avéré être appréciable après une journée sous la chaleur. Pour cette gamme de prix les chambres sont confortables, spacieuses et bien équipées. Les petits déjeuners sont si copieux et délicieux que nous avons sauté les déjeuners. Nous avons pris nos dîners à l hôtel la cuisine est excellente pour un prix convenable, je recommande sans réserve cet établissement et encore merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil.

Todo. Habitaciones muy amplias y confortables con todo lo que necesitas: A/C, toallas de ducha y piscina, kettle, jabones. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas: hermoso jardín alrededor de la piscina donde puedes relajarte tranquilamente después de las excursiones. Los anfitriones super ambles, siempre con una sonrisa dispuestos a ayudar. Y el desayuno espectacular! Solemos viajar bastante y nunca nos habían puesto un desayuno así: variedad de frutas, platos locales y occidentales! De 10!

All the staff were very welcoming, polite and attentive. We were given a delicious fresh melon drink on arrival and another day a fresh mango drink on return from a trip out which was a very welcome surprise. The breakfast was amazing! There was plenty of different fruit, egg, sausage/chicken bacon, hoppers with a lentil dish & mushrooms, a Sri Lankan coconut pancake roll, SL rice ball stuffed with a coconut sauce, yoghurt, toast & coffee. It kept us going all day! We loved the swimming pool with jacuzzi jets located in the lovely rainforest style garden. Chandi very kindly drove us to the Temple cave located nearby, and waited for us to complete our visit and drove us back. We also booked Chandi as our driver and guide to view Siiriya rock and Pidurangala rock from different locations. He also waited for us while we climbed Pidurangala rock. It was a fabulous afternoon. Chandi and his wife were both very hospitable. They also assisted us with other trip bookings and restaurant recommendations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

La camera non rispecchiava a pieno le foto proposte su booking.. Ma il letto é comodo e la doccia calda questo é l'importante.

Además de que el hotel es un oasis enmedio de Dambulla destacaría la amabilidad de los propietarios. Nos equivocamos al hacer la reserva y no constaba que eramos tres. Enseguida nos pusieron cama supletoria que no nos cobraron, nos encendieron las luces de la piscina aunque llegamos tarde y cuando nos fuimos nos preguntaron al día siguiente si habíamos llegado bien a destino. Y el desayuno, espectacular, una variedad inmensa de comida. Gracias por la acogida! Sin duda para repetir!

Jardin magnifique avec petite piscine très sympa ( jacuzzi et large fontaine d’eau très agréable sur les épaules). Hamacs répartis dans le jardin. De très bons conseils pour les excursions et les chauffeurs ( mention spéciale pour notre driver Sanht ( +94 (77) 159 9857), qui nous a fait découvrir des paysages magnifiques et nous a expliqué avec enthousiasme tout ce qu’il y avait à voir autour des sites que nous allions visiter ). J’ai eu besoin de faire réparer une paire de lunettes, le propriétaire nous a amené en voiture chez 2 opticiens, différents jusqu’à ce qu’on trouve la solution. Ce qui lui a pris beaucoup de temps. C’était vraiment adorable. Petit déjeuner très varié et très généreux, même trop car nous étions gênés de laisser autant.

We had an excellent stay at Gala Addara Hotel. The accommodation is beautifully set within a lush ecological garden that has clearly been created and maintained with great care and attention. The owners are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. They are happy to help with anything you need, both at the hotel and when exploring the surrounding area, and they truly succeeded in making our stay a memorable one. Each morning started with a generous and delicious breakfast, and the hotel served as the perfect base for visiting the many attractions in the region during the day. We highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone planning to visit Sigiriya or any of the other nearby highlights.

A wonderful stay in every way! This is a true green oasis in Dambulla. The owners and staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We really appreciated the fresh juice when we returned after a busy day of sightseeing. The pool is clean and refreshing. The breakfast was incredible—so generous that we even joked they were trying to kill us with food! The owners genuinely care about their guests. They gave us honest local advice, such as recommending the Cargills supermarket instead of the smaller shops with higher tourist prices. We only regret not booking the safari through them. Todo nos encantó. Estaba todo muy bien cuidado y el trato y la atención de los propietarios fue increíble. Nos aconsejaron sobre alguna excursión y nos acercaron a lugares de interés con su coche. El desayuno buenísimo y muy abundante. Ubicación muy céntrica. Lo recomiendo 100%!

We had a wonderful one-week stay with our two daughters (10 and 16 years old). The staff were absolutely charming, incredibly helpful, and always attentive. They really made us feel welcome, with thoughtful little touches such as the fresh fruit juice served every afternoon. The hotel is very peaceful and is ideally located in Dambulla, making it an excellent base for exploring the Cultural Triangle. There are also many excellent restaurants within a short walking distance. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The swimming pool was well maintained and surrounded by beautiful shady vegetation, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent and very generous, with plenty of fresh fruit as well as delicious local specialties. We also appreciated the laundry service, which was very convenient and available at a very reasonable price. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Hotel muy céntrico, zona exterior muy bonita con mucha vegetación, piscina con chorros. Destacaría la gran amabilidad de los dueños del hotel: nos llevaron en coche al restaurante que elegimos y nos prepararon un delicioso desayuno para llevar ya que salíamos antes de empezar el horario de desayuno.

El hotel no ofrece comidas ni cenas, pero no es un problema porque a pocos minutos andando hay numerosos sitios donde se puede comer.

Absolutely everything. The rooms were fantastic and spacious, beds comfortable. The pool was great and needed in the heat, the breakfasts are so big you don’t even need to eat the rest of the day but it’s the staff that really make it. The most lovely owners, they really made us feel at home even helping us out with rides to places. Honestly I can’t say enough good about this place. Thank you guys, see you again soon 🙏

The owners and the staff are awesome. We were the only guests at the time of our stay and had a great time. The owner Nimal even dropped us off at the cave temple and had good advice all free of charge. We received several free, fresh and tasty fruit coctail. The pool in the hotel's natural garden was very lovely and a lot of birds and squirrels could be observed. The diverse breakfast was more than plenty and very good. The arranged tour to Pidurangala was very enjoyable aswell, with a very kind tuk tuk driver. The laundry service was very fast and affordable. Rooms were very clean! The best stay we had during our trip through sri lanka.

Mooie centrale locatie. Prachtige tuin. Welkomstdrankje bij aankomst van fruit uit eigen tuin (en later nog een, toen bleek dat we een vrucht uit de tuin niet kenden). Net zwembad, helaas regen dus niet gebruikt. Eigenaar heeft ons even naar de cave tempel gebracht toen we daarheen wilden. Het meest uitgebreide ontbijt dat we ooit in Sri Lanka op hebben. Kamer had een koelkast.

Er zat een mierennest op ons terrasje. Dit werd wel direct opgelost en weggehaald.

とにかくホストの夫婦の気遣いを感じられて素晴らしい滞在でした。旦那さんは日本で働いていたことがあるそうで、少し日本語が話せます。ウェルカムドリンクの他、早朝のサファリツアー出発に合わせてコーヒーも持ってきてくれました。朝ごはんの好みを事前にメッセージで確認してくださり、たくさんのフルーツを用意してくれました！その他にも卵やhopper、Pani Pol(ココナッツパンケーキ)などスリランカ料理も提供してくださいました。 お部屋は清潔で、広さも十分でした。外のレセプションなどは蚊が多かった印象ですが、部屋の入り口にベープが設置されており部屋内は気になりませんでした。 ホテルは街の中心にあり、徒歩5-10分程度でレストランにもアクセスできます。Rangiri Luuv Restaurantはホテルから徒歩10分くらいで、美味しいビリヤニとKottuが食べれるのでおすすめです。 Eco Hurulu Parkのサファリツアーを申し込みましたが、プライベートツアーで、一般サイトからの予約よりもリーズナブルだったのでおすすめします。

大通りからホテルまでの一本道があるのですが、夜は真っ暗で誰もいないので少し怖かった。治安は悪くなく安全ではあると思います。

Ho viaggiato tanto nella mia vita ma non ho mai incontrato nessuno come la coppia di titolari di questa struttura: ci hanno coccolato son dal nostro arrivo e ci hanno aiutato per ogni minima cosa, persino accompagnandoci al tempio. La struttura è un'oasi deliziosa alle porte di Dambulla, a 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei bus. La piscina è una chicca e la colazione straordinaria. Assolutamente consigliato!!

Bardzo polecam! Bardzo pomocni właściciele i obsługa 😊 Ogromne i dopasowane pod preferencje śniadania. Czyste, komfortowe pokoje. Gospodarze polecili nam także wycieczkę tuk tukiem z Shante do Sigiriya i Polonnaruwa i to był strzał w dziesiątkę! Shante bardzo bezpiecznie prowadził, zabrał nas w nietypowe, ukryte miejsca oraz opowiadał o nich w języku angielskim na wysokim poziomie 😊 Zdecydowanie warto się tutaj zatrzymać 🐘

Das Zimmer war wunderschön und sehr sauber. Die Betreiber und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war traumhaft gut und reichhaltig. Highlight war der Pool. Sehr gute Ausgangslage zum Höhlentempel und nach Sigiriya. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

The food here was excellent. And the owners were excellent at English - they have family living abroad, including Canada and United States, whom they occasionally visit. The owner actually studied landscape architecture and went to university abroad in England. He even studied under Geoffrey Bawa, so he had a lot to say about the Hotel Kandalama and gave us advice on visiting it. Their chef is really passionate about food, and really eager to cook for us, which we found very endearing. They also have amazing vegetable and fruit trees all over their property, which they eagerly showed us. These are wonderful and honest people. Room was clean, and essentially served as our basecamp for going to the Sigiriya lion's rock.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were great with the children. The food was delicious. We ate there every night of our stay! The facilities were clean, and although basic, the hotel had everything we needed.

Lovely oasis of calm. Surrounded by birds and lovely room. The owner was fantastic and drove us to the cave temples and neighbouring temple, and waiting to bring us back without wanting payment. Het hotel is omgeven door een prachtige tuin met veel schaduw, en voorzien van alle gemakken, inclusief een zwemhad om af te koelen.. Dambulla is een heerlijk stadje, maar wat ons verblijf het meest comfortabel maakte was de host en het personeel, die het ons enorm naar de zin maakte. Hij hielp ons met het boeken van een kookcursus en ging zelfs mee om te kijken of het iets was wat hij zijn gasten vaker aan zou raden, heeft een betrouwbare vaste tuk tuk chauffeur waar hij mee samenwerkt die ons de omgeving heeft laten zien en ons om 4.30 naar Pidurangala rock bracht, en de chef kookte een fantastisch diner voor ons. Het ontbijt was enorm uitgebreid en een mix van westerse en lokale gerechten. Wij voelden ons er enorm in de watten gelegd!

De badkamer is wellicht wat verouderd, maar voorzien van alle comfort.

Le petit point embêtant est que notre chambre donnait sur l'allée et donc si on ouvrait les rideaux, les personnes voyaient ce qu'il se passait dans la chambre.

This has been our first accommodation in Sri Lanka and we were so happy to have booked it. Our hosts made us very welcome and chef cooked delicious breakfasts and curry, rice and hoppers. The room was very spacious and clean. The mini fridge with cold water and air conditioning was appreciated. The beds were comfy and the shady pool area and pool jets made our relaxing time feel special. Our trips were outstanding and the drivers exceptional - the hotel organised everything. Day one was a safari to Hurulu Eco Park where we lost count of the elephants we saw. Our driver had a knack of finding them and spotted three family grouping. Dambulla Cave temples for sunset followed. Today we did Sigiria Rock with Sunel who picked us up at 4.30am for an ascent to see sunrise. Sunel then took us to some beautiful areas to see wildlife.

The place was wonderful. It’s well located, not far from the temple, yet quiet and peaceful. The garden is beautiful. The room is very well equipped, and what stood out most was the service — the staff were kind and pleasant, and helped with everything. The pool is small but clean, with shade and cozy spots around it. The food was perfect; the chef paid attention to every detail and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you to Renu and the entire team. Highly recommended!!

This small hotel is an excellent, shady, haven close to the centre of Dambulla town. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly. The food is excellent and very generous in quantity! There is a cute little swimming pool and even a sauna if you want one. The hosts are super accommodating and can't do too much to help you. I loved my stay here. I strongly recommend this place and suggest you ask them to book you on the hot air ballooning trip.

Nothing at all but one very small suggestion might be mini safes in the rooms. That said it felt very safe.

Freundlicher Empfang. Da es geregnet hat, ist uns der Besitzer mit dem Auto von der Bushaltestelle abgeholt. Pool und Umgebung werden sehr sauber gehalten.

Die oben erwähnte Sauberkeit hat aber zur Folge, dass schon am Morgen früh - 06:00 AM - vor der Türe gewischt wird.

We had such a good time here. Very clean and comfortable rooms, delicious and personalized breakfast. And the pool and its green area were so relaxing and beautifully lit at night. The owners are very friendly, helpful; their service is great!

The room given to our driver was not too great, so I recommend arranging something elsewhere.

The owners were very nice and really tried to make our stay comfortable. For breakfast, they prepared both European and traditional dishes. They also helped us book a trip and recommended Hurulu Eco Park instead of Minneriya – and it was a great choice (cheaper and we saw a lot of elephants). The accommodation is new, clean, and has a wonderful pool.

Stanza decisamente orribile. Nonostante siamo riusciti a cambiare quella proposta, ne abbiamo scelta un'altra meno sgradevole ma sempre molto brutta. Ipotizzo che le recensioni super positive di qualche turista italiano siano relative ad altra struttura e attribuite a questo albergo per errore. La struttura immersa nel verde si presenta come decisamente fatiscente, il giardino è poco curato e le camere sono decisamente male arredate sporche, con mobilia vecchia e decadente. Si ha la sensazione di scarsa igiene. Non commento il bagno perché sarebbe superfluo. Non è assolutamente a cui darei come punteggio 9! Qualcosa non ha torna. La posizione è molto decentrata, meno male che a poche centinaia di metri c'è un ristorante dove abbiamo mangiato molto bene (unica nota positiva).

La chambre était spacieuse et très propre Les hôtes sont d’une gentillesse incroyable. Je recommande le dîner ainsi que le super bon petit déjeuner L’hôte nous a envoyé un Tuk tuk pour visiter le rocher du lion. Le tuk tuk nous a fait un grand tour des choses à voir C’était génial et pas cher du tout.

Perfektní snídaně, kombinace Evropské a Srí Lanské kuchyně. Velice vydatná a zašití až do pozdních odpoledních hodin. Majitel i personál velmi vstřícný. Čistota pokoje asi nejlepší na Srí Lance co jsme zatím měli. Na hlavní ulici doslov pár metrů.

Personale gentilissimo, colazione tipica e abbondante, stanza pulita e abbastanza grossa. posizione perfetta, perché in pieno centro della città.

Piscina leggermente fredda, ma non si può avere tutto ;)

Das beste an der Unterkunft ist die herzliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer-Familie, die uns zu tollen Ausflügen gefahren haben :) Das Frühstück ist super reichhaltig, sehr lecker, der Pool ist schön gepflegt, die Zimmer groß und sehr sauber. Es war rundum perfekt!

It was in a good location but away from the busy roads. The host and his wife were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was a feast. The rooms were the cleanest we have had in our total trip in Sri Lanka!

We had a pleasant stay at gala addara.stayed there for 2 days.Mr.Chandi is a super host.was very helpful.His wife cooked delicious breakfast for us.highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Gala Addara – Dambulla: A Hidden Gem! 🌟 From the moment we arrived, Hotel Gala Addara in Dambulla won my heart! The room was spotless and beautifully comfortable, the pool was pure relaxation, and the sauna was the perfect treat after a long day. Dinner was absolutely fantastic — every bite full of flavor — and the next morning’s breakfast was nothing short of fabulous, with so much variety that we couldn’t resist trying everything (and yes, we loved it all!). What truly sets this hotel apart is the people. The staff, along with the wonderful owner, Mr. Chandima, were incredibly friendly and welcoming, treating us like part of their own family. If you’re visiting Dambulla, I highly recommend staying here. Come, experience it yourself, and you’ll see exactly why this has become my favorite hotel from now on! 😀

Der Hoteldirektor ist aussergewöhnlich. Er kümmert sich herzlich und zuvorkommend um seine Gäste. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und sehr sauber. Die Anlage liegt etwas zurückversetzt von der Hauptstrasse, sehr ruhig, grün und angenehm.
