Die Unterkunft war total idyllisch und gepflegt! Die Beratung und der Service waren extrem gut, das Frühstück und Abendessen super lecker 😊

Trato muy cercano, pendientes de todo, cuatro personas en todo momento. Ase encargan de lo que necesites, transporte a las ciudades cercanas, lavandería, desayunos y cenas (que son aparte) por un precio muy ajustado. Limpio y bien refrigerado, aislado del centro ruidoso de Dambulla. Muy acogedor el jardín y la decoración en general. Hemos pasado cinco días inmejorables, merece la pena

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war gar kein Problem, nach dem langen Flug bereits vormittags anzureisen und das Zimmer zu beziehen. Das Personal sorgte dafür, dass es uns gut ging, organisierte und begleitete Ausflüge, bekochte uns und unterstützte uns bei der Weiterreise. Wir waren vier Tage dort und nutzten die Unterkunft als Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung des kulturellen Dreiecks. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker und werden nach Wunsch zubereitet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Garten ist eine Oase der Ruhe und lädt zur Erholung ein. Wir würden immer wieder kommen. DANKE für alles!

I found the garden a little dark and hemmed in but that is just a personal preference as a lot of thought and care has gone into the whole property including the garden.

Rustige locatie, net buiten centrum maar perfect om zowel Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya als Dambulla te bezoeken. Mooie, propere kamer en badkamer met prima douche. Fijne tuin om in te zitten. Heel vriendelijke, discrete gastheer die alles doet om gasten in de watten te leggen. Bezorgde ons met de auto een fantastisch bezoek aan Polonnaruwa. Zeer bekwaam personeel. Dankjewel aan Isuru die ons met de tuk tuk een prachtige dag in Sigiriya en Dambulla bezorgde.

Es ist eine kleine, ruhige Oase. Der Gastgeber hat uns ein gutes Gefühl gegeben und uns aus der Patsche geholfen, als wir Probleme mit unserem Driver hatten. Es ist sehr sauber, stilvoll und verströmt eine schöne Energie. Sehr zu empfehlen.

This is a truly excellent small hotel, incredibly peaceful situated within beautiful gardens. The owner and staff were so kind, going out of their way to make our stay special. Even though it’s outside the main part of Dambulla, it’s easy to get around using the hotel Tuktuk or PickMe - and you get the benefit of the peaceful surroundings. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and very large bathroom, really amazing value considering the price. Breakfast was excellent. Would 100% recommend

We stayed in the Green Edge for 3 nights and we used as a base to visit Sigiriya, Pidiurangala and Polonaruwa.. It is very close to Dambulla but still very quiet. The environment was very relaxing and the staff so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended.

Lovely, calm, quiet location, just a few minutes tuk tuk journey from the centre of Dambulla. The owner Sri was extremely helpful arranging trips to the caves, Sigiriya , and Pollonowora and dropped us off at the correct bus stop for our onward journey to Trincomalee . Highly recommended, 100% the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. A lovely veranda to sit out and chill. Lovely, clean room, comfy bed, lovely bed linen . Fridge in the room and got air-conditioning.

Green Edgeを拠点にして、**シギリヤ**など周辺の都市を観光することをおすすめします。 午前中は観光地で過ごし、午後はGreen Edgeの庭でのんびりと贅沢な時間を楽しめます。 休憩中にはSriさんが紅茶を提供してくれました。彼は自ら**キャンディ**まで紅茶を買い付けに行っているそうです。キャンディの紅茶博物館で飲んだ紅茶よりも美味しく、印象に残りました。 庭はガーデンキーパーの方がとても丁寧に手入れしています。毎朝花を摘んで庭を飾っているようで、庭を常に素晴らしい状態に保とうとする姿勢に心を打たれました。 Green Edgeでのハイライトは、朝食と夕食でしょう。 朝食のジャムはホームメイドで、マンゴーの自然な甘みをしっかり感じられます。 夕食のカレーに添えられるお米はハーブと一緒に炊かれており、香りがとても良いです。夕食はオプションですが、強くおすすめします。 **Heritance Kandalamaへはトゥクトゥクで20分ほど。カフェを利用しながら、ジェフリー・バワ**の建築を楽しむことができます。 また、Green Edge周辺を徒歩で散策するのもおすすめです。野生の孔雀やイグアナ、珍しい鳥に出会えることもあり、自然を存分に満喫できます。近所の方々が気持ちよく挨拶してくれるのも印象的でした。

The property was one of the best we stayed in Sri Lanka: a clean and cared place, the sheets perfumed, a comfortable bed. We were really well looked after about our needs. A warm and cozy atmosphere.

Ich war das zweite Mal hier, weil es mir gut gefallen hat. Auch dieses Mal war es gut. Freundliches Personal, wir konnten sogar als Service mit dem Tuk Tuk zum Höhlentempel fahren.

Leider war es sehr feucht im Badezimmer und ein unangenehmer Geruch dadurch. Das war bedingt durch das regnerische Wetter. Ansonsten ist der Platz sehr schön im Grünen

The staff were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, doing my laundry after I'd been trekking for 3 days and always being available with a tuk tuk to take me into town. The room was lovely, large and with lots of added touches to make it comfortable - quality towels, tea and coffee in the room, toiletries. The outdoor terrace is also a wonderful bonus. The best place I've stayed in Sri Lanka!

Amazing hospitality, warm friendly staff that always checking if we were ok. They arranged airport pick-up, a tuk tuk ride to Lions Rock as well as other transport. It's in a beautiful tranquil environment that is very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent 👌

The Green Edge is rust in een wat drukkere stad. Prachtig gelegen, super hartelijke mensen, eten is er super en maatwerk.

Это прекрасное место с прекрасным заботливым хозяином и персоналом , очень много внимания к деталям в доме , чисто , постель удобная , вкусный завтрак , красивая посуда и подача , забота во всем. Важный момент , нужен транспорт , чтоб добраться к дому тут тук, авто или байк , для просмотра достопримечательностей Дамбуллы подходит идеально , все недалеко находится.

Staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were large and very comfy. Location is quiet and away from the village amongst the green countryside. .. so no noise. Thanks for the torches to climb Sigiriya.. wouldn’t have made it without the light!!

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen war lecker und preiswert, was wichtig ist, da es in Dambulla sonst nicht viel gibt. Wir sind 3 Nächte geblieben und haben uns von dort die Höhlen in Dambulla, Sigiriya und Polonaruwa angeschaut. Letzteres war super mit dem öffentlichen Bus zu erreichen.

Dambulla hatte touristische außer den Höhlen wenig zu bieten und wir fanden es schwer adäquate Restaurants zu finden. Umso wichtiger, dass das Essen in der Unterkunft top war.

La struttura è immersa nel verde e nella tranquillità. Appena arrivati si ha subito un senso di pace, non si sentono rumori. Si viene accolti da uno staff estremamente cordiale, disponibile e sempre sorridente. Le stanze sono molto carine e pulitissime (così come ogni punto della struttura). Sia la colazione che la cena sono squisite, le porzioni abbondanti e il prezzo irrisorio. Insomma, il rapporto qualità prezzo del Green Edge è altissimo A parer nostro, questo è il posto perfetto in cui soggiornare per visitare Dambulla comodamente e rilassarsi

大通りから曲がって水田の中の道を進むとこの施設があります。周りは本当に自然が豊富です。食事は部屋の外の廊下のテーブルなので、食事中も自然に囲まれながらリラックスできます。 部屋とウォッシュルームの清潔度は極めて高いです。 自転車を貸してくれるので、石窟寺院など周辺を散策するのがいいです。 マネージャーは食事中多くの時間そばにいてスリランカ旅行や日本について色々な話をしてくれます。

唯一、歯ブラシの用意がないことが欠点かと思います。

On arrival we were greeted by our friendly host and shown to our room which was exceptional. It was clean, air conditioned and the bed was extremely comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious, we loved the coconut sambal and Dahl. For a small price of 2,500 Sri Lankan rupee you can have dinner which included a selection of five curries, rice and papadums. The home stay will organise your day trips to sigiriya and the temple etc. Nothing to fault, it was the perfect, quiet, secluded place to stay. Highly recommend.

Esteticamente molto bella e affascinante, la più bella nel nostro viaggio in Sri Lanka. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile, dandoci anche dei consigli sui dintorni. Abbiamo anche chiesto di cenare e il cibo era molto buono e ad un prezzo molto conveniente. Segnalo anche una mega ciabatta sui comodini piena di prese usb per ricaricare TUTTO!!

If you are going to Dambulla there is really only one place to stay and it is this. The approach to the villa is nothing short of enchanting with beautiful gardens and verandahs overflowing with art. Everywhere is immaculate; bedrooms, bathrooms and gardens, and the hospitality extended by the staff is the greatest advertisement Sri Lanka could ever have. Convenient for a walk into Dambulla, and yet feels a million miles away from the busy life in town. Walking to Dambulla Cave and Temple took about 25 minutes. Would also recommend Popham's Arboretum, particulary the  night walk safari, within walking distance or short Tuk Tuk ride away. All trips can be arranged by staff at the Villa for good prices. Sigiriya Rock also close by Tuk Tuk, seeing it from Pidurangala Rock was the highight for us.

Ein superfreundliches Team arbeitet dort. Haben sich sehr gut gekümmert. Morgens unser Tuk-Tuk geputzt und Ölcheck gemacht. Haben dort abends zweimal gegessen. Beide Male sehr gut. Lage etwas abgelegen, aber super ruhig.

Wenn man jetzt nicht so wie wir mobil ist mit eigenem Fahrzeug ist die Unterkunft schon abgelegen. Was aber nicht zwingemd als Nachteil gesehen werden sollte.

This hotel has exceptional friendly and attentiv staff. The well designed garden offers a space for absolute relaxtion and peace. If you are looking for that this might be a place for you to consider. The room was pefectly clean. Matress was comfortible. The bathroom was modern and we enjoyed the shower a lot. The owners offer Tuktuk Rides to the city, they offer bikes and also driving services to any sightseeing point. Our driver was a lovely young man that drove safely and very patient. We would definitly book this accomodation again.

Delicious food, we planned an early morning safari so the hotel staff made us breakfast before (5:30 am!) which was very nice! The rooms are clean and spacious, bed was good, aircondition was good. Host was very friendly and helpful!

Ubicación en el centro de Dambulla, que permite explorar los lugares de la zona e incluso utilizarlo como hub para todo el triángulo cultural de Sri Lanka, con las principales ciudades a menos de 2 horas. Todo el esta exquisitamente decorado, la habitación es muy amplia, excelente aire acondicionado, personal muy atento y desayuno completo. All the great comments you saw are true. This place would be the perfect get-away spot - it's spotlessly clean, and the best part is the garden/outdoor area, where all the artifacts and decorations are well maintained to the tiniest detail. In the mornings they would change up the petals floating on the water, and in the midst of calm and peace, the breakfast was ready - local style, western style, the flavor offers a sense of satisfaction. It's literally like living in the movies. My Mom would keep telling me how great this old gentleman was, who always made sure we are being taking care of, with exceptional professionalism and peace in every move. Everyone was thoughtful, friendly, and most importantly genuine. The manager gave us so many great recommendations about the good spots, and made sure everything was taken care of all the way even after we left the property, while Isuru took us around with his Tuktuk. Service and cleanness wise, it would easily beat a lot of the 5-star hotels. I would say this place is one of my favorite stays of all time. And it's worth my time and effort to write this review.

The AC was blowing straight at one bed (at the head); just flipping myself towards the other direction (head at foot, foot at head) solves it, so I won't really count it as a problem...

Everything about this place was superb. The environment was stunning, from gardens to elegant artifacts. The driver, Isuru, was fantastic. We were able to take trips to the Dambulla Cave Temples, Sigiriya, Polonaruwa and Anuradhapura from this location. He also drove us on to Kandy. The provided us with cycles to cruise the local area.

Tolle Unterkunft mit schönem Garten. Vor allem die Gastfreundlichkeit und Unterstützung bei Fragen waren sehr hilfreich. Zusätzlich gab es Tee und Kaffee. Sehr zu empfehlen

Das sehr gemütliche und saubere Guesthouse liegt abseits der City von Dambulla in einem wunderschön angelegten Garten. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit der Gastgebers. Hier kann man sich nur wohlfühlen!

Topverblijf in Dambulla, perfecte locatie om de tempels te bezoeken. De mensen zijn zo zo vriendelijk, niks is hen te veel. De kamers zijn mooi en super proper. Het is er heel rustig met een hele mooie tuin waar je tot rust kan komen en af en toe een eekhoorntje kan spotten.

Alles was perfect

De persoonlijke aandacht door het personeel was erg fijn en alles was erg schoon en verzorgd. Ze hebben ook een eigen tuktuk service alleen voor gasten. We zijn heel goed geholpen met onze uitstapjes naar Pidurangala Rock en een olifanten Safari, daarbij belden ze in de ochtend met gidsen in welk national park de meeste olifanten zich die dag bevonden.

Bij het diner bij het hotel konden we niet aangeven wat we wilden eten, maar het was wel lekker met verschillende curry's.

Very kind and caring people who were always around when we needed help or advise or when our flight unexpectedly changed and we needed to arrange new transfer from airport. I liked that they work together with tuk tuk driver so even if the location isn't the best, we could always call him and he took us home from dinner, took us to Sigyria and lunch so we had the most pleasant stay possible. The place is really calm and charming.

Ospitalità é la parola chiave di questo viaggio, ma soprattutto di questa struttura! Ci siamo trovati benissimo al green edge: la camera é confortevole e dotata di tutto il necessario, lo spazio esterno é molto molto carino e accogliente, i proprietari sono gentili e disponibili, i dettagli dell’arredamento e del servizio da tavola sono favolosi. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati, colazione ottima e la cena é buona e abbondante. Wi-fi perfettamente funzionante.

Credo sia una delle poche volte dove mi sento di dire, con estrema sincerità, che è stato un soggiorno davvero perfetto: a partire dalla struttura (nuova, pulita, arredata con gusto, con aria condizionata) fino al personale che è stato al di sopra di ogni aspettativa, estremamente gentile e disponibile. Solo alcuni esempi per rendere l'idea: preparazione della cena solo per noi, caffè alle 4 del mattino piu preparazione di un sacchetto-colazione da portare via il giorno in cui abbiamo visto l'alba a Pidurangala, pulizia del nostro tuktuk dopo il temporale prima della partenza per la tappa successiva,...e tante altre accortezze che ci hanno fatto sentire coccolati. Un vero esempio di cutomer care. Grazie a tutto lo staff! Consiglierò senza esitazione alcuna la struttura a chiunque abbia intenzione di passare qualche giorno a Dambulla. 10/10.

Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Alle haben sich so um uns gekümmert. Gleich zu Beginn haben wir kalte Tücher für das Gesicht und Tee bekommen. Die Zimmer waren perfekt sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Veranda ist mit ihren bequemen Sofas ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen. Die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise

The place is beautiful in each detail. The service and the staff is great and kind.

Rustige locatie, net buiten het centrum van Dambulla. Het is een oase van rust. Mooie tuin, hele nette en schone kamers. Je kunt overal makkelijk op blote voeten lopen, het is heel schoon. Het diner vonden wij wat smaakloos, helemaal als je weet hoe smaakvol en pittig de curry’s overal zijn. Het ontbijt is prima maar wel elke dag hetzelfde. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk, bijna onderdanig. Daar voelen wij ons niet prettig bij. Ook lopen ze heel veel langs je tafel of staan aan je tafel om te kijken of alles goed is. Dat voelde een beetje bedrukkend. Heel goed bedoeld maar dat mag wel iets minder.

The Green Edge è stata una bellissima scoperta, un angolo di Giappone in Sri Lanka! Dall'arredamento ai prodotti da bagno, al caffè, alle campane, il bambu', è stata un'esperienza favolosa. E poi la loro gentilezza, la disponibilità, tutto perfetto. Ci sono 3 camere matrimoniali, per cui il silenzio è assicurato. La notte l'unica cosa che si sente sono il fruscio del bambù e qualche uccello notturno. I letti grandi e comodi, il bagno enorme e ben fornito. Ci sono il bollitore per caffè e tè e relativi prodotti. Abbiamo cenato presso la struttura tutte e due le sere che siamo stati, cucina buonissima e curata, così come la colazione (uova, frutta fresca, pane e marmellata). Che dire? Se mai torneremo in Sri Lanka soggiorneremo ancora qui, un sogno. Grazie di tutto!

Everything was just perfect! Staff: The staff members were truly wonderful: kind, helpful, and thoughtful at every step. They made me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay. Cleanliness: Top hygiene! The entire room was spotless: from the walls and floors to the cupboards, bed, bathroom, and toilet. Everything looked freshly cleaned and well-maintained. Comfort: There was running hot water at all times, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortably cool, even during the hotter parts of the day. Safety & Atmosphere: As a solo traveler, I felt safe and at home here. The warm environment and respectful staff really made a difference. Overall: An excellent experience. Clean, comfortable, and supported by genuinely kind staff. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

La atención del personal y lo acogedor del lugar hizo extender mi estadía de una noche a cuatro. Después de alquilar un coche con una pésima experiencia, Isuru y su primo brindaron una acogida y comida que supera toda expectativa. A hidden and magical place. We stayed there for one night and everything was perfect. Friendly staff and super attentive, clean room, spotless big bed and they cooked us a delicious dinner, which we enjoyed in a peacefull garden. You can listen to the many sounds of birds in the morning. Really a comfortable place to relax and sleep in peace.

环境非常棒，坐在庭院里，吹着微风，非常舒适，早餐也非常好。晚上睡觉，虽然有鸟的声音，但是很安静。早餐也非常好，可以骑自行车到处逛，喜欢Dambulla👍

Top notch service, delicious western and Sri Lankan breakfasts, comfortable beds, top quality products, lovely seating area. This was one of the best places we stayed during a month long trip to Sri Lanka. Rajith and the other staff were amazing, taking care of us like family, making us feel so comfortable and welcome. Given the location we expected to be bitten alive by mosquitoes, but after two nights there not a single bite. That was a result of the efforts of staff to ensure the seating area was well maintained and protected from insects. Another bonus was watching the monkeys eat in the garden in the mornings. It was such a wonderful experience overall. I highly recommend a stay at The Green Edge and would gladly return on my next visit to Dambulla.

Very helpful and kind staff. The host chauffeured us to a wedding venue at odd times of the night where uber/taxi is not an option. Breakfast was omelette, tea/coffee, fruits, toast, and was delicious. Location is peaceful.

Charming little hotel, which feels like an art gallery. We loved it’s classical design (though it’s newly built!). Location on the dikes is actually very good, as there is no noise other than coming from birds or monkeys :). Attention to detail is impressive. Super clean. Food is delicious. Hotel staff goes extra mile so that the stay is comfortable and memorable, and they were very helpful in arranging transportation for us.

Would be good to have continental breakfast as an alternative to Sri Lankan offering.
