Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit nachhaltigem Konzept. Großartiges Cafe im Erdgeschoss mit leckerem Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal.
Das Bett war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hart.
cozy place, nice cafe downstairs, cute dogs and kind people; really has some nice touches
I moved to the room with a shared bathroom for the third night, and I dont recommend it. There was no hot water to shower and the shared bathroom wasnt very clean…
Cleanliness
WiFi not working while in the kitchen
Meget behagelig stemning. Vegetarisk og ren mad.
I enjoyed my stay at Ananda Tree House. It's a cosy place and having the café downstairs is definitely a plus. I enjoyed being able to use the kitchen and there is a very cute organic shop next door for groceries.
I did find the wifi a bit too slow.
Rooms clean and sweet
The place is one the side road , so if you sensitive to traffic sounds - then it would be a bit challenging
It was noisy, by the road. Room have no fan and I have to ask for one. No water provided. I have to request for room cleaning everyday.
Service
This was my favorite stay of the whole trip to Nepal! I arrived in an absolute oasis of calmness and serenity. The owners were incredibly nice and attentive. You'd get a hot cup of water of fresh lemon water when you sit down in the café and the food is superb! I wish i'd booked for a longer stay to try out all the meals. The rooms are spacious and I appreciated the ecofriendly options. It's close to the bouddhanath stupa, so i'd easily go back and forth to enjoy the neighbourhood and spend an hour reading in the cafe. This would be the first place I book when I come back to Nepal.
The room was comfortable and cute, I had a very enjoyable stay. The cafe downstairs is such a nice place to sit and have tea.
It was truly a warm, cosy and peaceful place to stay. We loved the sereneness of the cafe downstairs and the warm hospitality of the wonderful people managing the property. And ofcourse their guardian pet 'Purna' the dog!
Nothing at all :)
The staff were all super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Everything was kept very clean and the cafe downstairs was delicious! Best pour over coffee we had in Kathmandu!
Very cozy environment, nice host.
Ananda tree house is a wonderful place to stay and close to the Buddha Stupa. The staff are very helpful. love the atmosphere of café, very relaxing and comfortable.
Hosts Food at the cafe
1. No lifts 2. Unkept door handles end bolts - I cut my finger bolting my fingers room’s door because it was so tight 3. Luke warm (not warm) water in the common bathroom 4. Only one power socket in the room! I was on an assignment, I had to charge my phone+cameras+laptop but where was only one socket. So I had to put alarms and wake up to change devices.
Lovely staff and amazing breakfast. Great location close to Bouddnath.
Ananda is wonderful place to stay.Staff is so kind, food is excellent and I was feeling very comfortable and safe in Ananda.i highly recommend this place
Nothing
I love the art cafe! Its just a peaceful place with a beautiful atmosphere and decoration. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was always very tasty. The room was nice and clean, but it was very noisy from the road outside. And the bathroom wasnt that good. But i enjoyed my stay, thank you so much. Much blessings.
The bathroom and the noise from outside
A wonderfully happy and helpful staff. A cozy place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just close enough to the Boudha Stuppa and just far enough away. A perfect stay, and a comfortable spot to return to after forays into Kathmandu.
The café on ground level had a nice boho-vibe and served good coffee. Communal areas (inside w/ kitchen, outside) available on all floors (but nobody used them). Minimalist and chic vibe of the "budget" room we stayed in. Room was clean and had a desk and a table that matched in height and had hooks for putting your clothes to (both very unsual for Nepal, but very much needed for me) Multiple sockets very provided to charge all electronic devices at the same time (also unusual). Vegan milk options available. Wifi was working ok. Walking distance to Boudanath, but for everything else you need a taxi (to go to Thamel) which gets quite expensive.
Matress was quite thin and hard. It was very loud, even tough the windows were closed. You can hear mopeds all day long (less traffic at night) and airplaces flying directly over the house every 15min (check the google map: the guest house is 1.7km from the starting strip of the airport in the same direction the planes go) which made the house tremble. Hot shower in the common bathroom gave off boiling water, at night cockroaches were in the bathroom. Staff is friendly but unorganized and don't speak english very well. In general it was too expensive, for this price you usually get an attached bathroom and a quieter place.
Cosy place with a “like at home” atmosphere.
Just in the heart of Boudha, run by 3 brothers and their staff. Great experience, super friendly, professional, welcoming, flexible staff. Super clean, hot water, great food in the artistic cafe which belongs to them downstairs. I got obsessed with their vegan matcha cake :) and I learnt a lot about Dolpo and its culture. It was an amazing experience which I would repeat in a heartbeat. Def recommendable.
Everything was genuinely great.
Very nice and modern Tibetan hotel, more like co-leaving space. Quiet location, very clean, a lot of space inside. Kitchen with drinking water. There is supposed to be a washing machine for free but I didn't have time to do laundry. Nice cafe with shop on the ground floor. Just near the house is my favourite organic shop
Mattresses are a little bit too hard for Western people
The place is very cosy quiet and clean. The staff is super nice caring and easygoing. the cafe/restaurant which is part of the building has a very tasty menu and is a perfect place to relax with a nice cup of tea. I really enjoyed it to stay there.
Amazing service and food. Bed comfortable.
Curtains let too much street light in. The room was light all night from outside lamps.
so laid back and chill - simple and designed with purity
