An incredible location, hostess, and accomodation. Our regret is that we spent only 1 night. Be sure to spend at least 2 nights to explore Westport and allow for resting in this beautiful place! Very convenient to Westport.

I felt bad that I couldn't finish the very generous breakfast (full Irish) provided. It was delicious but I just couldn't hold all the food after eating our hostess's delicious homemade bread and yogurt.

Angela is a superb host. This is a lovely welcoming, clean, comfortable, good value guest house in a beautiful scenic area just outside Westport town.

Everything was clean and comfortable. Our host was very friendly. It was definitely a great place to stay in Westport with a nice breakfast to start your day.

The only thing is that you needed a car to drive into the town centre. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Es war einfach nur wunderschön! Das Anwesen liegt traumhaft, und auch die Zimmer sind sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Nach einem super leckeren Frühstück und entsprechend gestärkt ging es für uns weiter auf Tour. Wie bereits in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt, liegt das Haus etwas außerhalb von Westport. Das Ortszentrum ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar, allerdings führt der Weg zunächst an der Straße entlang, teilweise ohne Gehweg. Das liegt natürlich nicht in der Verantwortung der Gastgeberin und ist für uns daher auch kein negativer Punkt – man sollte es lediglich wissen. Alternativ kann man natürlich jederzeit ein Taxi nehmen. Wir würden diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen. Wer einmal hier war, weiß, warum. 😊

Very clean. Room cleaned and freshened up both days with towels etc. Beautiful breakfast, good variety of hot meals and homemade wheaten bread varieties and homemade jam which was delicious and a special touch by Angela the host. Would definitely recommend this B&B. Was about 20 minute walk into Westport from B&B. It was difficult to get a taxi on a Fri at 5pm. All were booked up. We then ordered via Uber for taxi home and for the next evening which worked well. We didn’t have a car as we came by bus.

Our host, Angela was our highlight really. So welcoming and gracious. The room was spotless and clean. The view was beautiful and our breakfast was terrific!

The house is so beautiful. The room was fabulous and so comfortable. Would highly recommend the sea view. The host was so friendly and kind. Her breakfast included berries from her garden and natural yogurt, amazing. Will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends. Otmeal Porridge with Baileys irish cream was fab.

Absolutely beautiful property and Angela and Francis are so lovely. The rooms were so comfortable and clean. A lot of attention to detail. The breakfast was incredible. It’s a great location just outside of Westport with a stunning view. Highly recommend! It has been one of my favorite stays in Ireland.

Sehr schönes B&B, sehr ruhig, ca.2km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Angela, die Eigentümerin ist sehr herzlich, freundlich und pflegt das Ambiente sehr. Das Frühstück war nebst a la Carte mit Müesli, selbstgebackenem Brot und Desserts sehr köstlich.

We had a lovely stay with Angela and Francis, they were brilliant hosts. The place is spotless and the breakfast was a great start to a long day. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was ideal, just 5 mins away from Westport and the room had a gorgeous view!

In the past I have stayed in Westport or down at the Quays. This time we stayed up the hill with a great view of Croagh Patrick in this beautifully built B&B run by Angela and her husband. Time down into the Mall was no more than coming up from the Quays. Excellent breakfasts especially her home made wheaten which we discussed her recipes. Nothing was too much trouble and I would recommend it for a stay in Westport and to drive around Achill Island

Carrabaun House is a wonderful place to stay in a quiet location just outside Westport. Francis and Angela are delightful hosts and have made their B&B excellent in every way. Our room had a lovely view of Croagh Patrick and their perfectly tended lawn and garden. The room was exceptionally clean and well thought-out. The hot breakfast was delicious and plentiful, featuring Angela's homemade breads and compote. Talking with the hosts was an extra treat. We hope to return someday!

I had a wonderful stay here. The location was absolutely amazing convenient, scenic, and made it easy to get around and explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast, which was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of options to start the day right.

I was disappointed with my stay overall, mainly due to how the checkout process was handled. Although the booking clearly stated that checkout was at 12:00 PM, there was significant pressure from staff for us to vacate the room by 10:00 AM. This created an unnecessary sense of urgency and made the end of our stay quite stressful. It would be much better if the B&B either honored the advertised checkout time or communicated any changes clearly in advance

A fantastic stay with amazing hosts.

The driveway to the B&B empties onto a fairly busy road with a slight blind curve with vehicles that traveling at speed. A mirror across from the driveway would be helpful.

Advertised as 20 minutes walk into town but no footpath on a busy road would have made a dangerous walk. Ordered taxi there and back into town. Very little facilities local to the guest house.

Angela and Francis are excellent hosts. Great property with outstanding mountain and bay views. Wonderful breakfast with homemade jam and bread. Close to center of Westport, about 1 mile. Enjoyed seeing the sheep grazing in the pasture in the back.

Nous avons été bien accueillis par notre hôtesse dans ce magnifique B&B quatre étoiles situé à 2,4 kilomètres du centre-ville disposant d'un superbe jardin et offrant un beau panorama pour une nuit. Une belle chambre confortable, bien équipée nous a été proposée avec deux grands lits, service bouilloire et coin-beauté à l'intérieur de la penderie avec une salle de bain attenante complète. Le wifi fonctionnait bien et était gratuit. Un parking devant la demeure était mis à disposition gratuitement. Dans une salle à manger, le petit-déjeuner buffet servi de 7 heures à 9 heures était copieux et délicieux selon notre commande demandée la veille par notre hôtesse. Westport est un port riche et agréable. Dans le centre de Westport, le restaurant Maddens propose une bonne cuisine traditionnelle. Je recommande ce B&B splendide dirigé par une maîtresse de maison efficace et pleine de sollicitude et j'ai regretté de n'y passer qu'une seule nuit ! Pour le définir, je dirais Luxe, calme et beauté !

La petite salle de bain avec les toilettes non séparées. Il y a eu une erreur pour le petit-déjeuner qui a été rectifiée et j'ai pu avoir tout ce que j'avais demandé alors que je ne savais pas quel (s) plat (s) choisir au moment de notre arrivée. Le B&B est un peu éloigné du centre de Westport.

The breakfast (and choices for!) was absolutely lovely each morning, after a very comfy stay in our big room. The staff were very welcoming and helpful too.

It's a shame there is no walking route to or from the B&B to Westport. As while the property is close to the town, there is a rural road with no footpaths to use.

Clean and friendly. The view from our bedroom was world class - mountains, sea, islands, and lovely countryside.

The request to make breakfast menu choice on check-in is a bit restrictive. In our case, after a "night out", we were still up for our pre-chosen breakfast.

La vue était splendide. La chambre spacieuse avec 2 lits larges et séparés. Le petit déjeuner était copieux avec de nombreux composants faits maison. Possibilité de garer la voiture à proximité immédiate du gîte.

Gebäude und Gartengelände erinnern an einen Herrensitz, die Gastgeberin an eine Lady, die allerdings stets bemüht ist, den Gast zu verwöhnen. Ein hervorragendes Frühstück, schöne Räumlichkeiten machten unserm Aufenthalt zu einem der besten während unseres Irlandaufenthaltes.
