Very charming, old traditional building, magical village, lake & mountain views, super convenient location & friendly helpful staff. I booked a single room but had a twin room with lake view :-) Great to have access to mini-fridge in common space for medicine/essential items needing refrigeration, tea & coffee facilities, private sink in room also v convenient. Other guests there at the time were super quiet & respectful, it was wonderfully peaceful :-)

Only things didn’t like were the air-freshener/fragrance dispensers in shared toilet/shower which also wafted into the tea/coffee-making area (not so nice for people with fragrance-sensitivity! But the bedroom itself & linen were fragrance-free, as was entrance area), and also when another guest was smoking on balcony (had to close door which means can’t see view as it was opaque glass) - wish smoking was banned on balconies! (And anywhere near building for that matter as smoking outside entrance would still waft right up). For people with mobility/balance issues the steep narrow old staircase could be tricky.

I loved my room, the view from my balcony, cleanliness and most importantly the hotel staff really warm people. They are amazing host, thanks loads for the amazing hospitality ❤️

Location was great, awesome view from the window and balcony, and staff was friendly and accommodating. I was able to check-in early and have my bags attended until I left.

也不算不喜歡，因為是木造房子，久了走路會有聲音，夜間起床上洗手間需要留意腳步。

An absolutely wonderful stay in a beautiful 600-year-old building full of history, charm and character. It felt incredibly warm and cosy, yet our family of five adults had plenty of space and was very comfortable throughout. The management were truly exceptional—so kind, welcoming, thoughtful and generous. They made us feel completely at home and added enormously to our experience. The location could not be better: just a couple of minutes’ walk from the ferry dock and directly beside Hallstatt’s shops, restaurants and cafés. Hallstatt itself is simply magical. We could not recommend Café Pension Leopoldine highly enough and would return without hesitation!

Jako absolutní chybu vnímám to, že až po zaplacení ubytování jsem obdržel od ubytování instrukce, že do města a k hotelu se není možné dostat přímo autem. Ve městě je několik parkovišť, na ta se není možné nijak objednat a ta vzdálenější jsou dokonce 2,7 km od ubytování. Ubytování poslalo informace, že je možné se dostat do centra autobusem, ale ten (alespoň z parkoviště č. 4) absolutně nejezdil. Odnášet všechny věci do hotelu necelé 3 km a případně se vracet je zážitek, který už nechci zažít. O tomto by mělo být informováno před zaplacením cesty. Když jsem se pokoušel alespoň zastavit, abych naložil cestou zpátky přítelkyni psa a kufry z centra, nenechali mě zastavit zřízenci, kteří hlídali parkoviště autobusů, aby tuto službu mohli mít cestující v autobusech...

We stayed in the family apartment and loved the accommodations. The rooms were very generously sized given the typical small guest rooms we’ve found in many old town properties. Very comfortable bedding. Appreciated the kitchenette as well, more than enough to have breakfast foods and snacks though wouldn’t try preparing a full meal.

Nothing negative to report. Future guests should be aware of the parking arrangements and the busy nature of the entire town during the summer. No way to get around that.

Líbila se mi lokalita ubytování. Díky skvělé lokalitě jsme si mohli projít večerní Halštat a užít si atmosféru blízko jezera. V hotelu to vypadá jako v pohádce, krásný výhled z okna a moc milý personál.

What a beautiful place to stay! It's a lovely old house, with friendly, welcoming staff. The bedrooms have everything you would need. It has a shared bathroom and toilets, but the room had a sink in it. I had no trouble getting a shower in the morning or using the loo (there were plenty of them). The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the view was delightful. It's right in the centre of town, but it's such a peaceful place of a night so it's the perfect spot. I really reccomended this place.

The whole property and the room is very clean. Even the shower room and toilet is public shared, it’s also clean. Ferenc, the manager is very helpful. Will definitely come back for my next visit.

The hotel staff were very helpful in carrying our luggage upstairs, which was especially helpful for me as I was traveling with elderly people.And they are very happy to answer questions.The room offers stunning views just by opening the window, and the location is very convenient. Even bringing large suitcases won't be a problem.

Sharing a bathroom is a bit inconvenient.

The location is just 2 minutes from ferry boat terminal and the waterfalls which cools down the hot weather this summer The unit we stayed has a beautiful view of the mountains It is also very close to supermarket grocery which is very helpful The owner have warmly welcomed us and made our entire trip comfortable, safe and enjoyable

The location was perfect, this place is very cute in a beautiful location with comfortable beds. The customer service of Ferenc was exceptional. He followed up with us personally on a rainy day and provided us clear directions and timings and various shuttle options to get to the place in time before the last shuttle.

אהבנו מאוד את השרות האדיב ואת המיקום שממש בכיכר המרכזית.

קונספט המלון מדרגות תלולות לחדרים שירותים ומקלחת משותפים בכל קומה. לא היתה טלביזיה בחדר ומכיוון וכל העסקים היו פתוחים רק עד השעה 20:00 בעיירה, זה היה נדרש.

The host is lovely, and my room was really cute. I loved the view and had an amazing time!

Perfect location, lovely room, beautiful views!

The balcony with mountain and lake views was fantastic! The beds were comfy, charming design and well equipped (access to tea pots, tea, frig and microwave). Location was perfect!

Steps were very steep but that’s part of the original build and charm - so not really something I didn’t “like” just something to be aware of if some on had mobility restrictions. It’s always a little challenge to share bathrooms but really wasn’t a problem.

Absolutely loved the location! Such a big and spacious apartment for our family of 5 with three littles. There were two separate bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom and kitchenette between them. Wonderful for stopping by the little grocery store that’s only a minute walk, and storing food in the little fridge. There’s a dining table to eat at in the room. There were games for the kids to play with. Beds were super comfortable. Truly a dreamy place! Would definitely stay again. The hostess was so kind!

Only thing I would add is fluffier pillows!

The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff agreed to wait for us til 7 pm to check in. They were accommodating and pleasant. Helped us get our bags up and down the stairs. Was good to have the teapot and the fridge.

It was difficult to communicate with the owners during the booking process. I called numerous times and no one picked up the phone. My emails were not answered promptly. Once my credit card was charged closer to arrival date, it seemed they responded better, but responses were not very timely. I had to contact booking.com in order to get my questions answered. I did fortunately hear back from them about checking in at 7 instead of 6, and they agreed to wait at the premises. The check-out time was a bit on the early side at 10 am, but they did agree to allow us to leave our bags there for the afternoon after we checked out.

地點非常方便就在廣場旁邊，房間乾淨整齊溫馨，通風採光也很不錯～ 員工親切有禮貌，還幫我們幾個女生抬了好幾咖行李上樓，很謝謝他！

入住之前完全沒辦法聯絡到房東，寫信、打電話或是透過通訊軟體都沒有任何回應。

整體都非常乾淨，員工也很親切，尤其是接待我的先生，他似乎是一位經理，他給了我很多幫助，我大概中午一點就到了，他房間準備好了就讓我直接入住，還幫我把行李搬上去及搬下來，退房後還看管我的行李，他真的很盡責。 雖然這個地區的住宿整體偏貴，但我在這裡得到了很好的體驗。 附近有間無人超商，營業到很多，也有很多東西可買，民宿有冰箱跟微波爐，真的很方便。

This was truly an unforgettable stay in the heart of Hallstatt. The location is absolutely perfect, allowing you to fully experience the magic of the village. The staff were wonderful warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel itself is very comfortable, clean, and beautifully authentic. It honestly felt like being at home, but with a special atmosphere you can’t find just anywhere. I highly recommend this place, and without a doubt, I would choose this hotel again for my next visit.

This was one of my all time favourite stays. The staff was simply wonderful and upgraded me for free to a larger room with a balcony and phenomenal views of the lake and the town. The location was 10/10 and the breakfast was huge. I would always stay here again. It was simply magical.

They even gave us complimentary welcoming cakes which was very thoughtful and it tasted very good indeed.The apt made us feel as if we were in the Frozen movie. We love everything about the apt. The room was big and filled with beautiful furniture, along with lots of plants and vintage pieces. The whole room was so thought through and cozy. Cafe downstairs was excellent. Reception staff explained everything that is to know about the village and recommended a great restaurant next door.

Εκτιμήσαμε ιδιαίτερα τη δωρεάν αναβάθμιση του δωματίου μας σε δωμάτιο με θέα τη λίμνη, το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενικό και κατατοπιστικό, η τοποθεσία πολύ κεντρική, ο ξενώνας αυθεντικός και το δωμάτιο με όλα όσα θα χρειαστεί κανείς για μια σύντομη διαμονή στο Χάλστατ. Το δωμάτιο, το WC και το ντους ήταν όλα πεντακάθαρα.

Η τιμή του δωματίου ήταν πολύ υψηλή για αυτό που προσφέρει, δεδομένου ότι δεν πρόκειται για ξενοδοχείο, αλλά για ξενώνα με κοινόχρηστα WC και μπάνιο ανά όροφο, για να φτάσει κανείς δε στο δωμάτιο, πρέπει να ανέβει πολύ απότομες σκάλες μέσα από χώρους που μοιάζουν και μυρίζουν αποθηκευτικοί. Οι τιμές επίσης στον χώρο του καφέ του ξενώνα ήταν εξωφρενικά υψηλές. Το προσωπικό αν και ευγενικό, δεν ήταν πολύ φιλικό, αλλά ψυχρά τυπικό.

I had a wonderful experience with this hotel...magnificent view from the balcony, friendly owners, very clean and warm hotel. I will definitely come back again.

The hotel is in great location, near the harbor and also some steps from the marketplace, you can always walk back room right away when you battery is drained out after taking too many photos, and also take a quick rest before continue explore the village. Room is cozy and clean. All staffs are so friendly and ready to answer your questions. Hotel has shared bathrooms but it’s so clean and you have a sink in your room.

The owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got all the information we needed from the staff. The room was very nice — cute and comfortable! Our room had a balcony, so we could enjoy the view and have coffee there. (You can buy coffee on the 1st floor.) The location was perfect — so close to the ferry port and many famous spots.

Where do I even start.. this Hallstatt is the most beautiful place i’ve ever been to, and this incredibly adorable pension augmented my entrance with this postcard lake town to the max! Hallstatt itself predates even Rome, with thousands of years of salt mining history, something I didn’t know and wouldn’t have experienced from this beautiful little town nestled in the ledge between Alpine mountains and a serene lake. There are no words fit to describe the beauty of the scenery here, and let me tell you, it comes from a person who has never been impressed by any mountain view! When I was dragged to Yosemite years ago by a group of more nature-loving friends, my thought was “ok these are just giant rocks.. what am I supposed to be marveled at??” Salzburg and Hallstatt completely changed that. Take the funicular up to the mountain either or both for the salt mine and skywalk, no pictures do justice to its majestic yet intimate, heavenly beauty. Take a leisurely stroll around the town , admiring centuries-old houses- i am so glad I chose this incredibly pretty pension, without knowing that the house of the hostess’s namesake is 400 years old. I think Pension Leopoldine is the prettiest one of all in Hallstatt!😉 It is like sleeping in a museum. Our family of four had a delightful stay, enjoying all the charming antiques around the rooms ( we had the 2bedroom unit) , had great sleep in the comfortable beds. The staffs were so kind and accommodating with early check in and storing luggages for hours after checkout . 🙏Even gave us 2pieces of delicious cakes and 2 cupcakes, and chocolate chip cookies for our departure gift. Thank you so so much for one of the most unforgettable travel experiences! Lord willing, We absolutely would love to come back and habe a longer stay.. Incredible staff, perfect location

Cet emplacement était incroyable! Il était au-DeLa de nos attentes. Nous sommes restés qu’un soir mais j’aurais aimé y passer au moins deux autres journées. J’aurais pu faire du trekking, de longues marches sur le bord de l’eau, méditer, lire, écrire. Ça serait un emplacement idyllique pour écrire un livre, peindre…Notre vue de notre balcon sur la montagne était féerique. La chambre avait un cachet bien spéciale. Les lieux étaient très propres et semblaient pratiquement neufs.

Tout était féerique! On pouvait se rendre au supermarché et payer à un guichet automatique. La confiance qui règne avec cette approche est du jamais vu. Prévoir d’apporter du comptant car certaines boutiques n’acceptent que du comptant.
