I had a lovely stay at this peaceful farm B&B. The setting was beautiful, and my room was huge, tastefully decorated, and opened onto a large deck overlooking the farm. John Joe and Margot were warm and welcoming, even helping us figure out how to attend a local hurling match. Breakfast was delicious, and the table setting was beautifully done. I highly recommend this property.

I proprietari, John Joe e Margo, sono simpatici, comunicativi ed efficienti. Ottima e molto ben presentata la colazione. La casa si trova in mezzo a bellissimi prati con allevamento di mucche e cavalli.

John Joe ist ein außergewöhnlich netter und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die absolute Krönung war das ausgezeichnete Frühstück mit Produkten aus der Region.

Beautiful house ,great location and a very welcoming host

This was such a wonderful stay! The location was peaceful and tucked away off the beaten path, surrounded by horses and cattle grazing in the nearby pastures. The sunsets were spectacular, especially when enjoyed from the private deck. The king bed was exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a pot of Irish tea along with cheese and crackers—a lovely touch. The highlight, however, was breakfast the following morning. John Joe prepared a hearty, made-to-order Irish breakfast, served with delicious homemade bread and scones. John Joe and Margot are genuinely warm, gracious hosts who made us feel right at home. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Irish B&B experience.

Wish I had booked more nights to stay! One was not enough. There was nothing we didn't like.

This property was definitely the highlight of our trip. From the warm welcome to the Beautifully furnished room, huge bathroom and dressing room, including our own balcony. John Joe’s breakfast was very special using local produce and nothing was too much trouble. We were provided with lots of information about two local area - away from the usual touristy spots. What an absolute gem of a B & B. John Joe was the ultimate host - friendly and caring that we were comfortable throughout our stay. John Joe was an absolutely marvellous host. We stayed two nights at his wonderful BnB and wished that we had more time! He gave us excellent local recommendations, including some hidden treasures off the beaten path. The day we had based on his recommendations was our favourite part of our whole trip. It was also delightful to meet his very sweet baby cows. Breakfasts were extremely generous and delectable - a perfect mix of hot and cold offerings, all local and as fresh as could be. His homemade brown bread was especially delicious - the best we had in Ireland! The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very elegant. We would absolutely go back! The only thing to be aware of is that you definitely need a car if you'll be staying here.

I found the bed and pillow uncomfortable

This was perhaps the best b&b we have ever enjoyed. We travel around the world and have stayed in many places. The rooms and bed were both large and most comfortable. The adjoining deck overlooked a marvelous vista with beautiful horses checking us out. John Joe himself was an exemplary host. The place was spotless. Details were attended. Afternoon tea and the huge breakfast were absolutely delicious. The place’s relative remoteness was made up for by his personal driving (we were walking St Declan’s Way). His thoughtfulness was evident in assuring material comfort but also social grace. Twas one of our best stays ever.

Quiet location, fabulous breakfast, helpful hosts

We couldn't have asked for a better host. John Joe made sure that my friend and I could get around the area OK, considering that we didn't have a car. He gave us advice on what we could do and what sights to see, as well as letting us have comfortable use of the house and its facilities. My friend and I loved the property! It was wonderful being able to see the horses from the terrace as we read our books or had our coffee. They also have a couple of adorable dogs that seemed to never run of energy! And as the other guests have commented, the breakfast options were fantastic and adjusted to fit our needs and preferences. Thank you, John Joe!

Sehr schönes großes Zimmer mit großem Bad, Ankleide und Balkon. Außergewöhnlich geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer in umwerfender Lage. Vor dem Fenster auf der Weide grasen die hauseigenen Kühe und Kälber - wunderschön. Das Frühstück mit selbstgebackenem Brot, Scones, Apfelkompott, Apfelsaft, Eiern, Granola, aus eigener Produktion hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Man kann aus mehreren Frühstücks-Variationen wählen. Das B&B ist sehr ruhig und abgelegen, fürs Dinner fährt man 6 km in den nächsten Ort. Herzlicher Gastgeber, der uns bei unserer Tourplanung wertvolle Tipps gegeben hat.

Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Es war die teuerste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise aber wohl auch die beste.

Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich liebevoll und lecker, der Service von John Joe einmalig aufmerksam!

John Joe and Margo go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The breakfast was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. It’s close to the beautiful town of Dungarvan just 10 min drive. Plenty of very nice restaurants and pubs in town.

The Bed and Breakfast was fabulous. Located on a lovely, peaceful farm it offered beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. Our host, John Joe, communicated frequently as our stay approached to ensure that we had no difficulty finding his home and to answer any questions that we might have. Upon arriving, he greeted us warmly and assisted us with our bags. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It included all of the amenities we could want. John Jo shared stories of the area as well as many dining and entertainment options nearby. He served a delicious traditional Irish breakfast in the morning.

The whole experience was fantastic. The setting with the farm animals was the absolute best. Our room was very clean and was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. John Joe went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy. His breakfast were the best! Location was perfect for us. Close enough to everything but far enough away to relax in the evenings.

John Joe was a fantastic host who welcomed us into his lovely home. We had a nice large bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast would be hard to beat, quality ingredients cooked to perfection complimented by fresh fruit and homemade bread. The price was probably at the top end of what we would want to pay for an overnight stop However we would definitely choose to stay there again in similar circumstances. For whatever reason the overall review score is coming out at 9.0 but in my opinion it deserves a 9.5 but I can't return to that section to amend it -sorry John Joe

A very peaceful but convenient location. An excellent breakfast. What makes the place is Johnjoe. He was friendly and helpful (and bakes a mean scone)! We took up one of his sightseeing recommendations which was spot on.

Wir hatten ein ausgesprochen schönes, geräumiges Zimmer mit Blick in den Garten und ein blitzsauberes Badezimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und reichhaltig, unser Gastgeber ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Wir hatten eine Unterkunft in Waterford gesucht und erwartet. Erst bei der Anfahrt wurde klar, dass sie mehr als 30 km von Waterford entfernt ist.

John was informative on where to go, what to see and where to eat. We had a great time, would highly recommend staying at Coolcormack Stud especially if you want a rural experience of Ireland. Great to wake up to see cows and horses outside your window. The Irish breakfast with freshly laid eggs was delicious.

Coolcormack Stud is a working race horse stud and cattle farm about 10 minutes drive outside Dunvargan, in beautiful surroundings. And no one works harder than the host, John Joe, in making one feel welcome and at ease. Our room was extraordinary, with an en suite bathroom and changing room and sweeping views of the pastures and bucolic countryside. It is an easy and traffic-free drive into the center of Dunvargan - so a perfect place to stay to enjoy country and town. Our breakfast was one of the very best we have ever experienced, not just because of the quality of the food but for John Joe's personal touch. When we arrived at the house it was suffused with delectable smells of cooking granola, which John Joe presented with home-made farm bread and other delights at breakfast next morning. We left relaxed and happy, and would come back in a heartbeat!

Margot and John Joe were one of the sweetest people I have ever met. They helped me with travelling advice before my stay. They even drove me from Dungarvan center to their BnB. As I was travelling alone they offered me to take me to see the horse races in Tramore. Even though we had just met, they even drove me around the Copper Coast and took me out to dinner to a wonderful local village pub! Best hosts ever. It was a fantastic day, and I was able to learn about the Irish culture. The room was very peaceful - a perfect place to feel cozy and relax. Margot and Joe John make you feel at home. They are attentive to each detail. The whole house was cleaned perfectly - definitely the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen and I have traveled a lot. The bed matress was really really comfy and the shower was nice and big and I had a hot shower. The cows and horses add to the charm of the country house. And there is so much amazing countryside to visit around the BnB but also in the villages around. But it's also a very quick drive to Dungarvan town so you can do the Greenway bikeride or have fun in the pubs or party in the city too. I was travelling by bus and it was easy to get from Waterford to Dungarvan with the bus. I also took the bus to Cork. The breakfast was huge and the hosts offered to cook more and were attentive to all my needs, making sure I had everything I needed. Best place I stayed in Ireland by far! And probably the most relaxing house I have ever stayed in. Honestly best hospitality I have ever seen (and this is coming from a person who has traveled a lot and knows about hospitality). Margot and John Joe are the sweetest people. If you want to relax in the countryside and visit the south coast of Ireland Coolcormack Stud BnB is THE place to be.

Besonders das selbstgemachte Müsli mit Joghurt und Apfelmus, die leckeren frischen Croissants mit selbstgemachter Marmelade und das Rührei von den Hofeigenen Hühnern. Schöne Zimmer. Ruhige Lage. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht da waren.

John, unser Gastgeber, war äußerst hilfsbereit in einer sehr angenehmen Art. Wir haben die Adresse anfangs im Dunkeln nicht gefunden, da ist John uns spontan mit seinem Auto entgegen gefahren und hat uns da eingesammelt, wo wir gestrandet sind. Abschließend gab es von John dann noch ein Bier und Tee für meine Frau, da war es bereits weit nach 22 Uhr. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war dann einfach köstlich und total lecker - vielen Dank noch einmal für die tolle Zeit bei Dir.
