Location Location, facilities A shared house, you have your own room and shared bathroom if others are staying, can use the kitchen, family room, outside deck, BBQ and host very pleasant and not intruding in your space. Very helpful, answered all my questions on messages promptly . Hist doesn't expect you to stay in your room, wants you to enjoy the surroundings

On booking.com it wasn't clear what we were staying in. , so a little nervous. Needs to be a better explanation of what you are getting foe your money

What a lovely host. Fiona did her utmost to make us feel as comfortable as ever. Very sociable and we spent every evening while staying there talking to her and her friends around the outside table. She opened her whole house up to us giving us access to everything to make out stay as comfortable as ever. Safe off the street parking. Very affordable and is highly recommended.

Even though the bathroom was shared between all the other guests there, I really cannot say that it was a disadvantage. Everyone was accommodation and we never had to wait to use anything. So even though that was a concern when we got there, it proved to be no issue at all. We still had the best time ever.

The property was just what I was looking for! Fiona was so friendly and I really enjoyed sharing wine and food with her. She made me feel completely at home. She’s got a super sweet dog and the perfect facilities for your getaway!

Fiona the host was amazing. You will be staying in her house possibly with other guests in the room next door. Fiona has a separate part upstairs so this wasn’t an issue. The room was spotlessly clean. Fiona was so accommodating letting us use the kitchen, making us fresh coffee in the morning and even baked some lemon muffins for us. One afternoon we sat upstairs and had a gin with her. The spa pool was really nice too. Overall we had a lovely stay with Fiona and will look forward to seeing her again another time.

Fiona was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. I had booked and paid for three rooms; however, due to my own oversight when making the reservation, I had not realised that the owner also shared the space and facilities. As this type of arrangement is not one I would typically choose for a weekend with friends, I made the decision to book alternative accommodation. After some discussion, we packed up our belongings and informed Fiona that I had been unaware the space would be shared. With another friend due to arrive and a local friend planning to join us, we felt we would be more comfortable in a fully private space.

I feel it’s important that the detail of the owner being in the house is made much clearer on the Booking.com listing so future guests can make an informed decision before booking. It was however a wonderful location with comfortable looking facilities.

The drive way could be slightly clearer with an added note to the sign saying turn left at the bottom of drive. But dont be put off by that comment as its so minute in comparison to the over all excellence of the accommodations

Fiona has created a very cosy and comfortable stay that is a great value for the area. We loved being able to walk to town and park our car off-street. We stayed super cosy with bed warmers and good quality linen and bed. We also appreciated the local recommendations and really loved the wine bar for a tasting and The Thai for an amazing dinner. We loved meeting pup, Goldie, as well! Highly recommend.

Location was central to our requirements and lovely and peaceful. Nice view of the harbour. Our host has a very friendly dog called Goldie. A real sweetie. We recommend this property.

I didn’t realize the bathroom was shared—I thought this was more like a motel. The listing should have made it clear that while the bedroom is private, the space is shared with other tourists.

Stunning location! The owner stayed up late to let us check in after we watched the sunset at Cape Reinga and then even was up early enough to make us pancakes in the morning and have a coffee and chat with us and her gorgeous doggy! She gave us one of her delicious homemade preserves and homemade carrot cake also! Such a lovely stay we'd love to come back!

Great accommodation - comfortable room, all day access to beautiful guest living room and balcony overlooking the marina. Great coffee making facilities (espresso machine). The shared bathroom was clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Good location with short walk to nearby restaurants and supermarket. We were delighted to be able to use the hot tub and there were kayaks available for use. Thank you Fiona for your hospitality and recommendations.

Kia ora Fiona. We had the best time staying with you. The weather was just sublime and meeting the other guests was simply amazing. The icing on the cake was the bbq dinner with the spa at the end of the evening was so magical. Please pass on our regards to Frankie and Sue. We will def return again and stay longer with a bit of fishing with you and Frankie will be an added bonus. Hi Goldie.

There was a shared bathroom/ toilet which some may not like but it was no problem

The accomodation and facilities were exactly what I was after. The owners were very helpful and we discussed my family possibly visiting in the summer.

Our host was lovely and had made a slice on our arrival. My parents are elderly and were unsure when we arrived, however we were made to feel welcome and cared for. We had a big day out the next day and when we returned soup had been made incase we were to tired to cook!

The whole experience was good. We were fortunate that we were the only people there at the time so we had the place to ourselves. Fiona the host was lovely and very friendly.

The neighborhood rooster but it was only a few mornings I think the owners may have got rid of it.
