Wonderful breakfast with lots of tasty options. Very attentive staff. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Communication could have been a bit better but overall everything was great.

Brilliant vibe about this stunning property- huge shower! The owner was so helpful. We attended a wedding in the nearby castle (different owners) so handy to the castle a 5 min walk.

The host was lovely. The room was comfy and clean.

No access to the Castle grounds, this is separate from the Castle but does have a small garden to the front and courtyard with seating.

We had a busy schedule so it was lovely to come back to a tranquil place in the evenings

I thought we would have access to the castle for evening meals but that wasn't an option.

La struttura è un'antica scuderia, restaurata mantenendo lo charme. La nostra stanza era al piano terra, con un locale con letto matrimoniale king size ed un secondo (che mantiene la struttura di una stalla) con due letti singoli affiancati. Il bagno è finestrato. La sala colazione è al piano primo, raggiungibile con ascensore ampio e moderno. La colazione è molto varia, sia continentale sia irlandese. Lo staff è cortese e disponibile, il proprietario racconta la storia del luogo e si propone di aiutare con le prenotazioni (ristorante, ...) Ampio parcheggio privato, al termine di una strada privata nel parco. Super silenzioso.

Place was great, host was friendly and accommodating - breakfast was fab! Bed lovely and big too!

Fantastic setting, I was made very welcome. Room was spotless and very comfortable. I was looking for a comfortable place to stay and I could not have been more pleased. I was only there for one night but it struck me this would be a wonderful base if you were exploring Sligo/Mayo/Donegal areas. You would need a car. Public transport not an option. There is no dinner option and breakfast is buffet, but I was happy with the offering. I would certainly come back.

. Check-in limited to 3 to 6pm could be a challenge for some. They could offer a phone number with a coded box for the key if you could not make that time.

The room itself was absolutely great, everything you needs, comfy bed, spotlessly clean.

Breakfast is nothing short of a joke. We paid €280 euro so the least I would be expecting is a full breakfast, however, the continental selection is worse than you'd find in a corner shop and as for the hot options it was bacon or sausages and you had to boil an egg yourself to which it was left in for alot longer than is needed to boil an egg and it was still raw. Rooms are great but if it was cheaper to stay without getting a breakfast I'd be going with that option as what we were given was terrible.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting- so peaceful. Set in a magical parkland. Room was lovely with nice big bed and shower. Excellent Continental breakfast with fresh fruit.

Had to eat out as no evening dining options. Shower could have been cleaner.

Cannot criticise ANYTHING!

The rooms are warm, spatious and made with accessibility in mind. The design is nice, blend of old and new, and territory is beautiful.

For the price, I find it overboard to check in after 15 and check out before 11. You're getting less than 20 hours of stay, in the end (early check in was not possible). The shower doesn't have a curtain or whatsoever, so whatever you bring in will be wet. This also makes it the fact that walls in the bathroom are molding up and mold odour is very present as you open the bathroom door.

Fantastic quality accommodation, delicious continental breakfast, lovely selection of pastries, cereals, yoghurts, boiled eggs, fabulous setting on the castle grounds, great customer experience, very accommodating with check in and providing plenty of information

The staff were extremely welcoming in this quaint Carriage House next to Markree Castle. It's ideal for Couples or Groups of friends wishing to get away into scenic Sligo. A hidden Gem of Ireland. The Courtyard breakfast is excellent as is the high end atlantic seaweed shower gel and lotion in the Bathroom! The building itself is amazing and you can see the care and attention given to this old Heritage building on it's renovation. Anthony was a pleasure to chat to, his pride in the restoration shows! Shout out to the reception staff for giving me a much needed dig out on cuff links!

The smell of damp and mold in no 4 was very bad. Over priced. Would not stay there again 🤢

Absolutely stunning location, helpful and friendly staff. Accommodation is spotlessly clean and the beds are really comfortable. We stayed for a wedding and not a noise could be heard once in the room. Highly recommend.

Ubicado en un lugar idílico y muy tranquilo. Las instalaciones era preciosas, y muy bien cuidadas. Y el desayuno maravilloso también. Todo muy limpio.

Me gustó todo. Quizás un poco lejos (20min) de una población, pero se buscas desconexión y tranquilidad es perfecto.

We thought the actual castle would be available to get something to eat and a drink but unfortunately there was a private wedding.

Location close to Markree Castle, within walking distance five mins max, triple room was a double and single room, separated. Which was perfect for us. Lovely shower , warm room, safe to walk around.

Phoned ahead regarding a cot, when we arrived one was provided upon request. The mattress didn't fit the cot (too small), when we asked for one that fits staff told us that's all we have. Breakfast - cereals and cold food were fine. A hot cooked breakfast should not be on offer if it can't be provided. We went down at 09.15, there wasn't enough hot food for our party and when we asked was there more coming out we were told there was no more left. There were only five other guests present in the breakfast room.

Clean rooms, comfortable mattresses, very helpful owners/staff. We noticed an issue with the shower water temperature and drain, and the issues were rectified immediately. Good location. There were also four lovely cats that live in the Courtyard that were very friendly (Rosco was a special boy who gave one of our friends who wasn’t feeling well lots of cuddles and love). The breakfast spread was lovely, and exceeded our expectations.

I wasnt left with any happy memories of the place.

I found the staff to be incredibly unhelpful. In place of having a relaxing get away with my partner, I felt like a number on their cash register. The establishment could benefit from modern comforts such as steam room/suana and other relaxing facilities.

Staff/Owner was incredibly kind, gracious and helpful throughout. Beautiful place and surrounding grounds. 2 cats wandering the grounds was a personal favourite!

Stunning building and location just 10 minutes from the city centre. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds and usual amenities like a coffee machine, hairdryer. Staff were very friendly and there's free WiFi

It serves only a continental breakfast that you can have sausage and bacon with, also if you want an egg you boil it yourself, would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast but I can't fault the continental offering as it the croissants were fluffy and warm and the berries were fresh.

Lovely quiet room with plenty of space, comfortable seats and clean bathroom. The bed was warm and comfortable.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, especially considering the price of the room but they're working with limited facilities.

The grounds are gorgeous! It's the perfect place to go for a walk 😊 The room was simple but comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious!

There are no screens on the windows, so if you open them up to get some fresh air there will definitely be a few bugs that make their way into the room.
