The view was amazing. I really enjoyed the early sunrise and the delicious breakfast. The owner will do everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. She was very friendly and helpful, and the hospitality was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place!

Struttura fantastica con una vista sulle risaie da capogiro. Tutte le persone della struttura sono gentilissime e ci hanno accolto come se fossimo a casa. Abbiamo avuto anche il piacere di mangiare in struttura e si mangia anche bene. La colazione top in assoluto.

Ils nous ont conseillé des endroits magnifiques et nous ont organisé les journées en venant nous récupérer et nous attendant sur les lieux de visites ! Un merveilleux séjour … une larme à l’œil en quittant ce coin de paradis géré par une famille parfaite.

Our stay at The Papa’s Villas was absolutely unreal. It is run by a family owned business which takes immense pride in their service. The view overlooking the rice fields from the pool was a highlight of the trip. ​The staff service was incredible. Ketut, our driver, was so friendly, and Kadek provided the best local tips, like finding a peaceful rice field where we could watch the Balinese people planting and harvesting by hand. ​The breakfast was wonderful. You should try the banana pancakes. If you are looking for a beautiful, authentic experience with service that goes the extra mile, I cannot recommend Papa’s Villas enough. Thank you for making our stay special.

I really don't want this review to upset the staff because they were genuinely wonderful. One morning we accidentally overslept, and they kindly served us breakfast even though breakfast hours had already ended. They also provided complimentary transportation to and from nearby places we wanted to visit, which we truly appreciated. The hotel is in an excellent location, the room is spacious, there's a water dispenser in the room, and the bed is very comfortable.

This was a huge, huge, huge disappointment for me. There are two villas, and they are priced the same. When I made my reservation, the photos showed the neighboring villa with its breathtaking view. That villa has a stunning, wide-open view of the valley and overlooks the entire infinity pool. In fact, that view was the main reason I chose this hotel. However, the room we were given only has a partial view of the pool and a limited view of the valley. The difference between the two views is enormous. (I'll attach photos for comparison.) Please, please remove the misleading photos or clearly indicate that the second villa offers only a **partial pool view**. Guests should know exactly what they are booking. I believe this would prevent disappointment and make expectations much fairer. Other than that, the hot water wasn't quite enough for two people to shower comfortably one after the other. The breakfast was average, and we found the pool water too cold to enjoy swimming comfortably

敢えて記述しましたが、さほど重大な欠点や指摘点ではありません。十分許容範囲内です。 ①テガラランにあるホテル全般に言えると思うが、空港やクタ等の市内からは勿論、ウブド市内からも遠く、道路渋滞も頻繁なので、その点は認識·納得のうえで予約しよう。 ②バスルームにシャンプーとコンディショナーは常備されていなかったので、持参することを薦める。 ③レセプションにスタッフは常駐していない。遅めのチェックイン、ウブド市内観光等で夜遅くに戻ってくる時、および、朝食を摂る際にスタッフがいないことがある。気をつけようがないのだが···

Was soll ich sagen? Selten eine so warmherzige, freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastfamilie erlebt. Wir waren begeistert. Die Lage ist wunderbar und für einen Besuch der Reisterrassen spitze, da man direkt gegenüber hinein gehen kann. Das Essen war einfach aber sehr schmackhaft und es wurde sich immer Zeit für einen Plausch genommen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und super sauber. Auch den Pool haben wir sehr genossen. Und das man die Möglichkeit hat, Massagen direkt auf dem Zimmer zu erhalten. Alles in Allem können wir die Anlage sehr empfehlen.

Zaciszne miejsce, idealne na odpoczynek i reset. 25min od Ubud taksówką. 5min taksówką od najlbliższych restauracji więc całkiem ok. Dobre śniadania, bardzo miła obsługa, rodzinny biznes i wszyscy dbają o Twój komfort i zadowolenie. Pomagają również zorganizować wycieczki. Nie mieliśmy planu na piewszy dzień a i tak był pełen atrakcji dzięki personelowi. Bardzo czysty basen. Bliskość tarasów ryżowych Tegallalang to ogromny plus, tylko 5 min spaceru od hotelu. Pokój czysty, brak insektów a nawet komarów.

Everything is perfect

Very nice villa and amazing infinity pool with fantastic views,very friendly family,took so good care of us,rice terraces entrance just opposite?

The location is away from the touristy area and the deluxe villa we had was quiet and had magnificent views across a ricefield valley and coconut palm covered ridges. Easy access into the Tegalalang terraces at the entrance across the road from The Papas, but also access to authentic local paths through other rice fields north of the villa. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed them sharing their knowledge of the area. We enjoyed the sunrises and birdwatching from our balcony.

A bit of a walk to the other restaurants, but a very willing taxi service was provided to other venues and the on site restaurant provided nice meals.

Tout était parfait, la famille est adorable, merci beaucoup pour votre accueil et votre aide, aussi pour des trajets en voiture et des conseils :) De plus, le logement, la piscine et le jardin sont magnifiques. Et rizières à deux pas, Nous espérons revenir..!!

De ligging van het appartement in een prachtige omgeving. De vriendelijke ontvangst en het super lekkere eten van Kadek en Ketut. Niets was hen teveel! We komen zeker terug. We zijn net weg maar missen het nu al.

Les propriétaires sont des personnes adorables, toujours au petit soin, le fils peut vous déposer où vous le souhaiter pour un petit prix. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, avec pas mal de choix et fait avec amour. La piscine est magnifique, il fait calme, la vue est belle, le logement est très propre.

Papas Villa is a gem. Far up in the mountains deep in rice field country, surrounded by agriculture, fresh air, and spiritual sound of religious chanting. The vila is sublime. Beautifully designed and perfectly furnished. The porch is an ideal place to hang out in the morning for a front row seat for a spectacular sunset, and in the afternoon for the cool breeze and rice field view. The beautiful pool is completely private so you can hop out for a midnight swim as you wish. It is also salt-cleaned to these is hardly any chemical treatment. Since there are only a few villas there, the breakfast area is cozy and beautiful. A member of the family will cook you a perfect omelette, rice or banana pancake, along with a bowl of fruit, and the most spectacular Balinese coffee you have ever tasted. The place is family owned, so get to know them. Made will drive you around and show you gems in the area for a really reasonable price is also a master wood carver. Ketut who is a rice farmer and wood carver turned tour guide has an honest and deep perspective and will teach you customs and show you the best templates and all the non-touristy spots. The fields and villages in the area provide a perfect set for hikes. The area is full of wood carving shops, as many of the people there learn to carve from a young age as a spiritual practice. We are absolutely going to come back next year. Thank you.

I wouldn't change a thing.

The complex is beautiful with an infinity pool with amazing views over the rice terraces. The place is family run giving a personal touch. The guys are very helpful with breakfast, transportation and setting up unbelievable excursions. Take their recommendations! Food was amazing too, catering well for an allergy. All the family were amazing but a special shout out to ketut! It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with you. Hopefully we’ll be back in the future.

Nádherné ubytovanie v krásnom prostredí. Bazén plne k dispozícii. Majitelia boli veľmi milí a nápomocní. Pomohli zabezpecit transfer z letiska, z ktorého sme na ubytovanie dorazili cca o 23:00. V tomto neskorom case nám ochotne urobili veľmi chutnú večeru. Bolo to veľmi milé privítanie po dlhej a náročnej ceste. Pomohli nám s transferom po okoli (ich synovec nám ukázal veľa atrakcii v okloli, odporučil výborne miestne reštaurácie) a posledný deň aj transfer do prístavu padangbai, keďže sme pokračovali na Gili ostrovy. Toto ubytovanie odporúčam ako rodinám s deťmi (my sme bolo s troma deťmi), tak aj párom. Ak sa raz vrátime na Bali, ubytujeme sa jedine tu 🫶🏻

I liked everything about this accomodation. Very good location, very quite and peaceful, where you can have your own privacy. Very good breakfast, nice travel arrangements, transfer possibilities. Very good recommendations on doing things. I felt like home and safe, like surrounded by friends, and it so important when you are alone and for the first time in Bali. These people made my days so easy and fabolous. It was amazing. Matur suksma my friends, I will come back, if I can!

Beautiful property in a gorgeous location. Family run business and they could not have been kinder. They took me on a tour on day one of all the things in the area: villages, coffee plantation, temple. And it’s opposite a really quiet, beautiful rice terrace. Food was delicious, and good options. I was working UK hours from the property and wifi was good for calls/e mails. Highly recommend!

An amazing villa run by a truly wonderful and welcoming family. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and very homely — from the very first moment we felt like we were staying with friends. The villa is comfortable, well-maintained, and set in a peaceful environment. A special thank you to the hosts for helping make our stay unforgettable. They personally took us to a coffee plantation and to a purification ceremony — unique and authentic Balinese experiences that we will always remember. Also amazing rice field is just 50 meters away from Papas If you’re looking for comfort, care, and a genuine cultural experience on Bali, this villa is the perfect choice. The view was exceptional , the private villa was really clean with italian vibes.. it's near all activities and our host misa was really delightful... imagine waking up to the sound of birds and trees. Also if you are muslim married couple and want some privacy this is the place Breakfast could have more varities :(

Papas Villas ist die BESTE Unterkunft überhaupt (und wir haben einige tolle Unterkünfte auf unserer Indonesien Reise gehabt). Wir haben es total geliebt! Der Garten- und Poolbereich sind traumhaft schön, man fühlt sich wie im Paradies. Die Mitarbeiter sind so freundlich und helfen bei jedem Anliegen. Auch die Zimmer (wir hatten eine der Villen mit dem Gemeinschaftspool) sind total schön eingerichtet, modern und sauber. Die Lage fanden wir super - ruhig gelegen, mitten in der Natur aber trotzdem mit dem Roller schnell in Ubud (abends nur 20min, bei Verkehr eher 40min) und bei schönen Ausflugszielen. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

L'endroit est tout simplement magnifique ! En face des chambres, la piscine puis les Rizières, palmiers et végétation luxuriante. Le calme et la sérénité absolue. L'ensemble de l'établissement est constitué de 2 chambres près de l'entrée, puis un Bungalow à part dans la partie annexe, en traversant la pelouse chez les voisins, ce qui n'est absolument pas gênant. J'étais dans cette partie, qu'il faut absolument réservé. L'endroit est vraiment splendide. Une piscine privée, 3 terrasses, dont une grande en hauteur, une grande pièce bibliothèque/ salon au RdC, à l'étage une immense chambre avec coin télé et cuisine. Frigo et congélateur. SdB nickel. Vue impressionnante ! Wayan, le propriétaire, est très sympa, il fait tout pour que le séjour se passe bien, il amène même gratuitement les clients jusqu'à Ubud. L'établissement est familial. Il faut savoir qu'il n'y a pas de restaurant proprement parlé, une petite terrasse seulement, et dîner uniquement sur pré réservation avec quelques plats simples. Il faut être véhiculé car Ubud est à environ 30 min. Sinon prendre un Grab. Petit déjeuner correct. Il y a des restaurants aux alentours, à Tegallalang, il peut vous déposer et récupérer.

L'endroit "réception ", plutôt un cabanon vieillisant et la partie " restaurant " , petit-déjeuner. Mais cela n'enlève rien au charme de l'ensemble.

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war einfach unglaublich. Der Ort war wunderschön. Es war ein ruhiger Ort mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Die Gastgeber waren unfassbar freundlich und sie haben sich um alles gekümmert. Wir konnten einen Roller mieten, ein Fahrservice wurde gebucht, wir konnten tolle Aktivitäten über die Familie buchen und wir bekamen jeden morgen leckeres Frühstück. Die Zimmer waren immer sauber und bei Fragen konnten wir jederzeit schreiben. Wir hatten noch nie so eine schöne Unterkunft wie diese. Danke an die ganze Familie!

Wat een heerlijke plek en hartelijke host en hostess. De locatie is een oase van rust met een fantastisch uitzicht voor, en op 100 meter van de villa de rijstvelden. Het gastgezin doet er alles aan om je verblijf aangenaam te maken. Heerlijke maaltijden en super ontbijtje!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns herzlich empfangen. Es wurde sogar extra für uns noch was zum Essen gemacht abends um 22 Uhr. Die Anlage ist sehr schön hergerichtet und in einer ruhigen Lage.

Leider befindet sich Schimmel in den Ecken der Wände, vor allem im Bad. Hör richt man den Schimmel deutlich. Die Handtücher haben bereits schwarze Flecken und Löcher. Hier könnte mit einer Schimmelreinigung und neuen Handtüchern nachgebessert werden um den Aufenthalt noch besser zu machen.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Hotel direkt an den Reisfeldern. Wayan und seine Familie sind sehr herzlich und stets bemüht, uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Abends brachte er uns sogar zum Restaurant. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und gut, frisch zubereitet und begleitet von einem netten Smalltalk.

La vista è assolutamente incredibile, così come il giardino lussureggiante di fiori, piante di ogni tipo e profumo di incenso che creano un’atmosfera autentica e di pura quiete. Wayan e la sua famiglia sono super accoglienti e disponibili, ci hanno noleggiato uno scooter e preparato ottimi pasti, offrendoci anche il servizio lavanderia. La camera presenta un arredamento curato e moderno, letto comodissimo e ottima la pulizia. Dietro - The Papas Villa si trova un sentiero da cui si ha accesso diretto al trekking sulle risaie, che consiglio assolutamente, mi è rimasto nel cuore!

Wunderschönes, tropisches Paradies mit direktem Zugang zu den Reisterrassen! Einfach top, besser gelegen geht nicht. Sehr ruhig, da es nur 3 Bungalows hat und etwas ausserhalb liegt. Es ist aber ein traumhaftes kleines Hotel mit Infinity Pool - ein Juwel! Das Frühstück und Abendessen wurde immer frisch zubereitet und war sehr, sehr gut. Vielen, vielen Dank an Wayan und seine Familie, es war einfach traumhaft!

At least for the highest bungalow we were in, I think the mattress should be replaced with a more comfortable one.

The private villa is simply marvelous. The views are incredible and the sense of calm is out of this world. The villa itself is very spacious and has absolutely everything you need—it’s filled with thoughtful details. What really stood out was the hospitality of the family who runs it. They treated us like family, and we’ll never forget that. We're eager to return—not only for the charm of the place—but also to reunite with our new friends. Don’t think twice— you deserve to discover this special place!!!

The best place we stayed in Bali! The accommodation and beautiful gardens are spotless and luxurious and the view from the infinity pool is breathtaking! The lovely family that run it bent over backwards to ensure that we had an amazing stay and Kadek is a wonderful cook. We wish we had stayed longer and look forward to returning!

It's an amazing family business, there are only 3 villas so it's like you have the whole place for yoursef. The staff is amazing, and very helpful. The view from the pool is astonishing. The facility is surrounded by magnificent rice terraces ( you can do trekking, line zipping and swings...)

If you want to visit around you have to get a driver. The room is a bit humid.

We liked everything! Very clean accommodation in a calm place. You literally stay in a local village, place is run by a local family and they are so friendly! We got a personal tour via rice fields and the village, got a chance to see local balinese house, ate fruit from their garden, got breakfast prepared from fresh ingridients just from the market. The accommodation itself is very nice. Good bed, big shower, amazing swimming pool. We also really liked there is a water dispenser in the room, super handy. The owner does everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Before this place we stayed in a more expensive resort hotel in Ubud, but we honestlt have warmer memories from our stay at The Papas Villas! If you want a peaceful stay in the middle of rice fields do not search further.

If you're looking for your own little piece of paradise, look no further. Papas Villas is everything you could ever dream of and more... we stayed for 2 weeks, in the little house with its own pool, surrounded by the sheer beauty of peace. A gorgeous little house (I believe it's called an apartment when you book), beautifully furnished and maintained with outside space that appeared to go on forever - I felt myself completely unwind. The staff, who are also the owners, do everything for you - from bringing delicious meals right to you to organising and providing days out and sightseeing trips, even if that is only a short car ride to a good restaurant for lunch or dinner - all in your own time, with no pressure to do anything. We utterly loved the time we were at Papas Villas and know, absolutely we would never stay anywhere else on Bali. Thank you everyone, it was really, really hard to leave.

We liked everything, the beautiful villa, the pool, the delicious food but especially the family who owns the villas. Exeptional service by an amazing family. We recommend when you stay here to go for a guided rice field tour with Ketut and to try the delicious homemade food!

Loved the pool

I recommend this place for everyone who wants to be really close to the nature. Great location to visit the rice terraces from the less touristy side of the field, nice view from the room. Staff is really nice and tries to look after you.

The last morning our room got flooded with flying ants, most of them in our bed, it might be out of their control but still inconvenience for us. The staff is in general really nice but we found them a little too pushy always wanting us to share all of our plans. 1 hour rice trekking on the fields with them was more expensive than Besakih temple entrance fee + guided tour. Smaller mistake but we rarely got what we asked for breakfast, something was always different.

The family running the place is incredibly nice and bend their back over backwards to accommodate your requests. The hostess cooks amazingly and only traditional food and the host is present early to touch up the place with some flowery decorations. Other family members help by providing transport and visits, all for a very reasonable fee, the former being cheaper than other taxi services (Gojek, etc.).

The hosts were lovely, and friendly which made us feel right at home. The villa was beautiful, clean, and comfortable with a stunning view. Perfect getaway and definitely would stay at the papa's villa again.

These are 2 villas located very close to the famous rice terraces. Great view! We thought we would be a little cut off from civilization. But no! Nearby are cafes, restaurants, attractions. Privately managed. The staff is wonderful! They are ready to provide services and you can order a delicious dish from the menu. Cozy, clean, homely. We didn't want to leave! Thank you! Everything was wonderful!

A little noisy conditioner

Absolutely loved the stay at Papas. There is a rice field just on the other side of the street. Better this than the touristy one with the swing and that felt like an amusement park (we went to both but the one right next to the hotel is a true rice field, loved it). Crickets and sound of nature at night was comforting. Very accommodating on serving breakfast at the pool.

Nothing, really worth it to spend some nights here, even though it isnt very centric (or so we thought and that is why we divided our ubud stay between 2 hotels), there are transport options nearby.

The family hosting was so kind and helpful with everything we needed, from transport to sightseeing 🥰 we stayed in the room with pool view and it is gorgeous with a giant bed and big modern indoor shower! (Also: No animals indoors ☺️) Realy good value for money. You can also order some food and drinks, even get them delivered to your room. Katut took us for a walk trough the fields and village and it was lovely. Wayat welcomed us, Kade cooked for us and gave us tips and uncle took us around everywhere we needed to go. ☀️The prices were very aforfable. If you want a resort feel room with a bit of local experience, this is it! All in all it was a great stay and a great experience! 🌸

Its a bit far from Ubud, but we knew that and wanted to stay near the rice terraces and see the village.

The location was amazing, 5 minutes drive from the busy rice terraces. This place is so peaceful that we almost regret staying there only 2 nights. Kadek and her family were some of the best people we met in Bali. They took care of us like we were family of their own; when I got there I was really sick from the food and Kadek made some special meals for me and after 2 days I was healthy and energized again to continue our trip. Definitely recommend 🙏

Everything was fabulous! The villas are beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. The staff are absolutely lovely and can’t do enough for you and the views are incredible! It is so peaceful and beautiful. Can’t recommend enough.
