Reviewed Sep 8, 2026We stayed in Ridgewood lodge recently as we were attending a wedding in Kilcullen. The location was perfect (8 - 10 mins drive away). The accommodation was ideal for our overnight stay. Olive was very helpful and even gave us a lift when the local taxi was booked out. Breakfast the next day was just what we needed after the wedding the day before. Thanks for everything Olive, we had a great time.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Sehr schönes Haus in sehr schöner Lage. Wir sind zwei Wochen durch Irland getourt und hatten hier einen wunderbaren Abschluss. Sehr hübsch eingerichtete Zimmer. Es gab liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück und Tipps, was es in der Gegend alles zu erkunden gibt.
Wir sind leider nur zwei Nächte geblieben.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Die Zimmer waren für irische Verhältnisse sehr geräumig. Wir hatten sogar ein Ankleidezimmer, sodass wir dort unser Gepäck ablegen konnten. Die Betten empfand ich als äußerst bequem.Das Badezimmer hatte ein Fenster, eine Tatsache, die ich sehr zu schätzen weiß. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Auch das Frühstück war lecker. Wir wurden nach unseren Wünschen gefragt.Da dies unser erstes B&B auf unserer Irland Rundreise war, waren wir noch nicht mit der Zubereitung des Kaffees vertraut. Es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine, sondern man stellt den Kaffee mit Wasserkocher und Instant-Kaffeepulver her - etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr nett und freundlich und machte viele Vorschläge für unsere weitere Irland-Rundreise. Auch ihre Empfehlung für das Abendessen im "Hideout", wenige Kilometer vom B&B entfernt, war perfekt. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen.
Es gab nicht zu bemängeln.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026The accomodation was like a fairy tale. A real irish contry side experience with all the comfort. Olive and her beatutiful dog are the best host ever. The house was seem a dream, with precious fornitures and stuffs. The room with the bathroom ensuite is very big and confortable. The bed is very comfort and I slept very well. The room has inside a cabin wardrobe! I really advice this accomodation for your irish holiday! Moreover I advice the special continental breakfast, preparate by Olive! Thank you so much!

My bedroom was very large, beautifully decorated, had its own walk in wardrobe and seperate bathroom. The location was ideal and the garden is fabulous, so well tended. Highly recommend

The host was very welcoming and friendly and gave us numerous recommendations about what was available in the area. Even down to us wanting to watch a local game of Gaelic football. We would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

The garden was delightful and the hose was situated down a country lane close to the parkland of the Curragh. Continual breakfast was lovely - fruit, eggs, cereal etc.

Die Matratze könnte härter sein, aber, das ist Geschmackssache.

Bij een B & B ga ik er van uit dat er ontbijt bij zit. Waarschijnlijk heb ik hier over heen gelezen. Daar was ik door verrast maar het was verder geen probleem.

Price of room was only €100 for the night compared to nearby hotels at €500. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Bathroom was top class. I would thoroughly recommend The Ridgewood Lodge.

Delicious breakfast of eggs plus continental breakfast for a tiny extra fee. Quiet rural location, not far from Several Major tourist attractions such as Athy’s Shackleton‘s Experience ( 5 star+) The Japanese gardens, next to the Irish Stud in Naas. Well worth a night or two. Warm friendly host, Olive, delightful base, beautiful countryside, v reasonable prices.
