We had such a great time. The host is very nice and helpful, borrowed us beach towels, and offered so many services. He brought us tea every day. The breakfast was very tasty. Our room was clean and well equipped. Last but not least not least, the pool was extremely clean and nice to sit by in the evenings. Would definitely recommend

La pisicina lo mejor!! Es un hotel familiar, nos trataron como uno más y tanto el dueño como toda su familia hacen todo con mucho amor. Al final de nuestra estancia, nos dio un presente para que lo recordemos. Repetiría!

The bed was very noisey and not very comfortable, I wouldn’t recommend the washing service our clothes were laid out to dry around the hotel including on bushes and were returned to us still damp and smelling off

החדר מאוד פשוט, אקלקטי מאוד. מיטות לא נוחות, שמיכות דקות מדי. השירותים לא היו ברמה מספקת. האסלה לא הייתה מחוברת לרצפה הכיור לא היה מחובר כמו שצריך. המים החמים היו בזרם חלש עד כדי לא מורגש.

We loved our stay in Mount Top! The location is amazing, about a 7 min walk to Hiriketiyia beach and really close to Dikwella beach as well. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance of the accommodation, which was great. Our room had everything we needed - a comfortable bed with a mosquito net, a kettle and hairdryer, a rack to dry our clothes. The only thing it didn't have that would have been useful is a little fridge. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. They brought us welcome drinks on our first day and also brought us something small each morning (fruits one day, juices another). They were really helpful when we needed it, eg to get on the wifi and asking for fresh towels. Really recommend this place for your stay in Hiriketiyia!

The only minor things to call out are that the tap in the bathroom was a bit finnicky to turn on and off, but we made it work. The pressure from the shower was only ok and the temperature was on the cooler side (but this was actually perfectly appropriate as it's so warm outside). Lastly, the door to our room was quite loud when you opened and closed it and it was also a bit awkward to lock/unlock (due to a padlock being used as the locking mechanism). None of these issues were deal-breakers and wouldn't stop me from booking again.

Очень уютный отель примерно посередине между пляжем Диквелла и пляжем Хирикетия. Идти минут 7-8. У нас было 2 номера на 2ом этаже, номер на 4х и номер на 2х. Можно заказать сытный вкусный завтрак, в номерах стоит вода, что очень удобно купить на месте бутылки по 1,5 или 5л. На 1ом этаже полноценная кухня, где можно приготовить еду. Уютная зона на улице с гамаком, лежаками и столом. Хозяин по просьбе договорился по отличной цене с водителями тук-ткуов довезти нас до пляжа Батигама. Также отрезал листочки алоэ, когда наши дети обгорели на солнце и лица покрылись корками. А еще угостил нас фруктом, что-то типа помело. Также нам дали доп.полотенца, когда мы попросили. Мы остались очень довольны проживанием!

В душе нет перегородки и остаётся мокрый пол по все ванной комнате, но к этому нужно просто быть готовыми)) так почти во всех отелях, где мы успели пожить и видимо, так принято организовывать ванную комнату на Шри-ланке

Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit 2 Doppelbetten und Bad. Klimaanlage war top. Oben auf der Terrasse war eine Küche und Sitzgelegenheiten. Alles war sauber. Getränke auf dem Hof im Kühlschrank und auch Snacks. Der Besitzer hat uns sogar für einen guten Preis nach unserem Aufenthalt mit Auto zum nächsten Hotel gefahren. Sie bieten auch Roller zur Miete an. Tolle Aussicht von oben über die Insel aufs Meer. Super Preis Leistung.

Lovely place, run by a very caring family that's always ready to give great local recommendations, help organise transport, and even surprise us with a nice cup of tea every now and then. Proximity to more peaceful Dickwella beach is great. We loved the breezy balcony with views of the beach- and the ability to make our own breakfast in the kitchen below. The fridge stocked with cold water, beers and snacks (for sale for a very reasonable price) is also great.

Depending on the time of visit, consider opting for an A/C room.

The owner was lovely. We were staying in a non-AC room and found it was too stuffy with just the fan. We messaged the owner who managed to move us into the AC room next door no problem! He was very accommodating and the rooms were lovely. Location was good, about a 7 min walk to Hiriketiya beach and 10 mins to Dickwella beach. There’s a small shop on site to buy snacks, water and even beers which was a nice touch.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Mount Top for 5 nights for our stay in Hiriketiya/Dikwella and it was fantastic. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a huge comfy bed and a standard bathroom. There is a very cute communal outside area where you can eat breakfast and chat to others staying there. The location is excellent as it is very near many delicious restaurants and cafes as well as being close to both Hiriketiya and Dikwella beach. The family that hosted us were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, giving us free tea and bananas whenever we would get back from a long day out and giving us advice on places to eat and quick routes to take to nearby destinations when we arrived. I would recommend Mount Top to anyone visiting and would 100% stay again.

Staff très gentil et chaleureux. Nous a aidé à réserver notre cours de surf à un prix très attractif garce au proprio. Petit-déjeuner très bon. Chambre propre.

La clim de notre chambre était en panne mais on avait le ventilateur.

Le propriétaire est adorable et au petits soins ! La chambre est spacieuse et propre ! L’emplacement est idéal à 5 min à pieds de la plage principale et les restaurants sont tout proches . On a passé un super séjour et nous reviendrons !

Unser Aufenthalt hier war super! Wir s hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Zimmer und Badezimmer sind schön und sauber. Das Grundstück ist ebenfalls schön und man kann sich dort gut aufhalten. Es gibt mehrere gemütliche Sitzbereiche. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann auch in der Unterkunft Wasser und andere Getränke kaufen, was für uns sehr praktisch war. Außerdem ist Man in wenigen Minuten an beiden Stränden.

Es gibt eine Küche die man mitbenutzen kann, die war aber leider ein wenig dreckig. War für uns aber nicht weiter schlimm, man konnte in der Umgebung gut Essen gehen.

Nära till båda stränderna i Hiriketiya och till ”huvudgatan” med restauranger, caféer och butiker. Trevlig balkong med utsikt över havet, personalen kom med kaffe till rummet trots att vi inte bokade med frukost.

Dåligt wifi, väldigt lågt vattentryck i duschen och mycket fåglar, påfåglar och apor precis utanför som väckte en tidigt på morgonen

Konumu sahilden biraz yukarıda, 5 dk mesafede. Benim için önemliydi çünkü günde birkaç kez gidip geldim. Sahibi çok yardımcı oldu, doktora gitmem gerekiyordu ve motoruyla kendi bıraktı. Fiyat/Performans dengesi yerinde, huzurlu bir konaklamaydı.

Booked last minute as something went wrong with our other accommodation. Everything was ready when we arrived, the host was really nice, the room was fine and had a clean bathroom and a small kitchen area to make tea. There was a fridge to buy drinks from, our host helped us to organise a taxi and you can pay to have your washing done there.

I think they overloaded the washing so not all of it was clean but not a big deal cause everything else was fine.

Amazing windy property on a height. You would love sitting in the verandah, sleep on the hammock and different types of reclining chairs. Host makes you feel like home. You can buy beer and ask him for taxi, rental bikes, surfing lessons at much cheaper price.

Great view from our room. Really helpful staff. The room was big and clean. Really close to 2 beaches and plenty of restaurants.

Very good location between the two beaches! Good value for money. Very kind owner who helps with a lot, like arranging tuktuks. He also brings tea and coffee.

The bed was a bit hard (but can be taste wise). The room shows some signs of wear, so don’t expect something luxurious, but that is in line with what you pay for.

We loved our stay at Mount top. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our host was amazing, he was so kind and attentive. He regularly brought us tea and coffee and answered any questions we had quickly. The location is amazing too, walking distance to the beach and bars/restaurants.

Property is in a great location, close to the beach and the restaurants but still peaceful. My room had a nice view of Dikwella beach. Very nice people running the guesthouse, he gave me a ride to the blue beach the morning I checked out and allowed me to keep my bags there all day. He also recommended an amazing massage therapist and also helped me plan my travel route beyond Hiriketiya, very caring!

The best accommodation on our trip to Sri Lanka! Spacious and comfortable room for four, and everything was very clean. They also had a refrigerator if you needed water or beer at very good prices, which was very useful. A two-minute walk from the center and in a quiet area. The owner was lovely, we would have loved to stay longer.

Le rapport qualité prix imbattable. L’emplacement à 5 min de la plage de hiriketiya, 10 min de la plage de dickwela. Tables, hamacs, chaise, cuisine avec frigo en commun idéal. Hele aardige gastheer die je met veel kan helpen tegen een eerlijke prijs, fijne ruime en schone kamer, warme douche, rustig gelegen, maar toch overal dichtbij (op loopafstand). Ik zou hier zeker terugkomen mochten wij ooit terug komen in Sri Lanka.

Het bed kraakte naar onze mening wat teveel, waardoor het onze nachtrust een beetje verstoorde. Maar dit is persoonlijk.

I had a great stay at Mount Top. The room has a nice view of the beach, which is only 10min walk away, it's also really close to many restaurants. The guest house is run by a really sweet family who even gave me a free ride to a nearby beach and some fruits.

Beautiful guest house, typical sri lankan house, with a lush garden. Felt very safe and calm, a few steps away from the main streets of Hiriketiya where you'll find plenty of cute stores, coffee places and restaurants. The room and bathroom was super clean, and had a mosquito net. Raj the owner is a sweetheart, going over the top and taking extra care of you. Refreshing welcoming drink, free use of an adaptator so I could charge my phone, negociated good prices for surf courses on my behalf, and even drove me to the beautiful blue beach so I could enjoy my last morning. Exceptional service and felt very warm. Thank you for this Raj ! See you very soon

Je vous déconseille de laver votre linge ici. Si vous voulez aller seulement à hiri (comme nous) il peut y avoir des emplacements plus proches.

I had a wonderful stay, the accommodation is excellent, very clean, and in a great location close to the sea. The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. Overall, it was a perfect place to stay and we really enjoyed everything.

Good host, common area with fridge filled with drinks for supermarket prices was nice touch. Breakfast was amazing

The Host of the accommodation was the nicest person we have ever met! He allowed us to stay longer due to sickness, organized a driver for our next destination and also a safari guide. He was very handsome and always looking for our best. The rooms were clean, including a mosquito net and the accommodation has a nice seating area outside the building. The location is also awesome close to Dickwelle and Hiriketiya Beach. All in all a perfect stay :)

Fantastic and kind hosts. The host kindly helped us get to Mirissa. He also gave us tips on the local area - Blue Bay Beach and where to see the turtles. These were our favourite moments in Hiriketiya. He also arranged a cheap tuk tuk to Dikwella bus station for our departure. The family also provided us with tea each evening. The family served us breakfast each morning - even when we asked for it late and last minute one morning! Fresh fruit, bread and eggs. You could buy drinks at the property too. The property is located excellently. It is within walking distance of both Hiriketiya and Dikwella. The room was spacious. A huge bed! Table and chairs and a dresser and clothes hanger. The bathroom was clean - water was hot. Toilet tissue was provided! The bathroom was much better than the others we’d experienced in Sri Lanka as it didn’t get damp or smelly. The air con was fantastic. The balcony was our favourite part- you can watch a beautiful sunset. We were sad to leave.

This is a very small minor (first world problem) thing - I’d have liked another pillow! Haha!

Die Unterkunft liegt im Zentrum und doch ist sie ein ruhiger Ort zum entspannen. Der Außenbereich ist schön gestaltet und so kann man sich schön entspannen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und morgens gab es immer noch einen Tee zum aufstehen.

Super Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht! Das Zimmer war groß und geräumig und das Bett hatte einen Mückenschutz! Die Unterkunft liegt auf dem Grundstück der Gast Familie. Der Innenhof ist super gestaltet und man hat sich gerne draußen hingesetzt. Die Familie ist sehr gastfreundlich und hat einem mit allem geholfen. Wir haben sogar mehrmals Tee bekommen. Die Lage zu den beiden Stränden ist auch super! Es liegt genau zwischen den Stränden und sie sind zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreichbar.

Ruime kamer met balkon en ook beneden zowel binnen als buiten plek om te zitten. Verwelkomd met thee en ik later kregen we thee als we terugkwamen van onze dagtrip. Er was een probleem met onze airco, dat werd meteen gefixt. Lekker ontbijt ook.

Lovely stay at mount top. The room is spacious, airy & clean, the bed was comfortable & had a mosquito net. The shower had hot water & multifunction attachments. The staff were lovely & helpful, I was suffering a sore throat & was brought tea & breakfast to my room. The owner even drove me all the way to Colombo at a cheaper price than taxis! Very very grateful for that. The WiFi is strong with no glitches & the location is great, inbetween hiriketiya & Dickwella beaches

Bugs can get in, although not a lot there was a huge spider in the bathroom one night but someone removed it for me so all good

Very clean and go location, the room is spacious. I had the breakfast one day and it was plenty and very taste. 2 different showers, 1 rain shower with colder water and one shower with hot regulated water. The bed is very comfortable! The familie who owns this place is very helpful and friendly!!

Everything! I got the top floor room, which has a nice long distance view to Dikwella beach. The whole property sits elevated compared to the rest of town which means you get a nice breeze and I never needed AC to have a restful sleep. Cheap scooter rental, breakfast available, a common kitchen for guests and a great host that was bringing me surprise coffee in the morning! I wasso glad I found this place so close to Hiriketiya and Dikwella and so comfy, I extended my stay till the last day in Sri Lanka

A very hospitable family. Excellent location, on a hill, the rooms on the 2nd floor offer magnificent views of the jungle and the ocean. Cozy, clean rooms and a homely atmosphere. You can order breakfast for a very reasonable price. I felt at home, thanks for the rest

Everything was fine

A really lovely stay in Hiriketiya! This home stay is wonderful - great location (about a 7 minute walk from Hiriketiya beach and 10/15 minutes to Dickwella). We had a huge balcony, the room was very clean and our host was so welcoming and friendly! He also arranged to drop us into town to catch our bus to Ella which was so useful and provided a huge (and very delicious) Sri Lankan breakfast for very cheap. Great value for money and would definitely recommend!
