Per un errore nostro abbiamo sbagliato la prenotazione che doveva essere per 2 adulti e un bimbo di 10 anni ma sbagliando abbiamo inserito un neonato con culla e non un bambino. I proprietari hanno risolto comunque benissimo la situazione e, pur non avendo a disposizione camere da 3, hanno aggiunto un materasso ai piedi le letto e risolto la situazione nel migliore modo possibile ma soprattutto con estrema gentilezza e disponibilità. Camera pulita e comoda, colazione ottima e posizione perfetta. Super consigliato

A beautiful building with very cozy rooms and a lovely view of the inner courtyard. The breakfast was incredibly generous, with so many different things to choose from, and everything was prepared with such care and attention. You truly feel as if you are staying at someone’s home rather than at a hotel. It was such a warm and welcoming experience. Thank you so much, Niels and Gerda, for your wonderful hospitality!

The facility is spotless. The hosts, Niels and Gerta, are very accommodating and knowledgeable, offering valuable insights into the local area. The breakfast is delicious.

Wir wurden von unseren Gastgebern sehr freundlich und persönlich empfangen. Wir erhielten alle wichtigen Informationen zu unserem Aufenthalt. Die Zimmern sind sehr geräumig, bestens ausgestattet und klimatisiert. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und schmackhaft. Vorab wurden wir nach unseren Wünschen für das Frühstück gefragt.

Wir hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt im "Love Bird"- Zimmer und haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt. Das sehr saubere und hochwertige im Modern Glam Stil eingerichtete Zimmer/Haus bietet alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Vom ruhigen, nach hinten gelegene Balkon mit bequemen Sitzmöbeln hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick in den gepflegten Garten der Gastgeber und das üppige Grün des angrenzenden Parks und kann den Tag bei einem Glas Wein entspannt ausklingen lassen. Das Frühstück wurde frisch zubereitet am Tisch serviert und bot eine üppige Auswahl, wobei auch individuelle Vorlieben, z.B. leckere, glutenfreie Brötchen vorhanden waren Praktisch war, dass E-Bikes ausgeliehen werden konnten und die freundliche Gastgeberin Tipps für Radtouren geben konnte. Das Auto konnte in einer nahegelegenen Tiefgarage kostenlos geparkt werden.

Fabulous location, great hosts who were helpful and added those small little touches that make such a difference to your stay. The room was great and the breakfast was also really well done.

De gastvrijheid, het heerlijke ontbijt, het fijne bed/douche/kamer en de toplocatie maakte van ons verblijf een feestje.

De kamer was fantastisch, ruim, mooi, koffie/thee en water aanwezig. Als Nederlander heb ik in meerdere hotels/b&b gezeten binnen de grote steden en dit was veruit het best. De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn ook erg vriendelijk, je moet wel open staan voor een praatje anders heb je het even zwaar

Heerlijke bedden , zo rustig met uitzicht op park en bos , alleen natuurgeluiden , het was warm , maar de airco werd aangezet , dat ging goed. Bedlinnen mooie kwaliteit en dekbed kun je naar eigen idee aanpassen , gewoon het dikke dekbed uit de hoes , het bestaat niet dat er ooit 1 iemand vertelt dat hij/zij het koud had , er lagen ook nog dikke dekens… Geweldig ontbijt , verse broodjes, verse jus , lekker fruit en ei gepocheerd in bakje, koffie en thee naar wens, kortom een heerlijke b&b

Het is prachtig karakteristiek pand, de foto's op de site doen het pand en de kamer geen recht. Heel vriendelijke eigenaresse die duidelijk veel plezier heeft in het runnen van deze B&B. Gastvrije ontvangst en heerlijk ontbijt. Mooie kamer van alle gemakken voorzien, goed bed, fijne douche en airco!

Enige minpuntje, geen verdonkerde gordijnen dus al heel vroeg veel licht in de kamer

Gyönyörű és maximálisan felszerelt szoba légkondival, nagyon kedves vendéglátók. Még egy nyugalmas kert is található a szálláson. Minden zseniális volt, ha tehetném, 11 pontot adnék. Köszönjük, hogy utolsó pillanatban fogadtak minket. Reméljük, lesz lehetőségünk még visszatérni.

Vriendelijke gastvrouw die er alles aan deed om ons verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Dit uitte zich ook in kleine gebaren; het naar boven dragen van mijn koffertje, de extra's bij het ontbijt. Zeer goede locatie. Vanuit de voordeur loop je zo het centrum in waar veel goede restaurants te vinden zijn.

The hosts are really kind and welcoming. The room is really cozy and has all the necessary. The bed was really comfortable and there is a parking lot and restaurants very nearby.

Keuze tussen hard en zacht kussen :) Ruime comfortabele kamer met uitzicht op de stad. Apart toilet. Heerlijke douche en bed. Zeer behulpzame en aardige eigenaars.

De steile trap naar de kamers. Maar we begrijpen dat dat ook de charme van het monumentale pand is.

Erg vriendelijke hoste. Prima bed. Was een prettig verblijf.

Séjour tout bonnement exceptionnel. Une attention de tout les instants avec un hôte aux petits soins. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel tant en qualité qu'en quantité. Très belle maison de maitre restaurée avec gout et classe. L'endroit est on ne peut mieux situé. Centre ville à deux minutes, parking à 200 mètres.

Pas de points négatifs lors de notre séjour.

Impressed by the beautiful building in a lovely small town which was very easy reach by public transport coming from Amsterdam

Prachtig sfeervol historisch pand met veel mooie elementen. Vlakbij de binnenstad van Steenwijk, niet ver van een ruime gratis parkeergelegenheid. Alles was keurig schoon. Fijn dat er zeep en shampoo is op de kamer, ook koffie, thee, een bonbonnetje en flesjes water. Aan alles is gedacht. Een heerlijk ontbijt dat in een alleraardigste ontbijtkamer heel plezierig aan ons tafeltje werd geserveerd. Vers fruit, een eitje, diverse broodjes, lekkere yoghurt-mix, heel compleet. Een gastheer die het begrip gastheerschap belichaamt. Jaap voelt aan of je een praatje wil maken, weet veel van de omgeving, geeft fijne adviezen en is oprecht geïnteresseerd in zijn gasten.

De plek, de kamer, de gastheer, parkeren vlakbij (wel met parkeerkaart max 2 uur maar er wordt kennelijk gelukkig niet gecontroleerd; en anders gratis groot parkeerterrein einde van de straat).

Prachtig pand met hele mooie kamers. Schoon en verzorgd. Precies zoals op de foto’s. Ontbijt was perfect. Gastheer Jaap niet te vergeten, hij zorgt dat alles in de puntjes is geregeld. Top verblijf. Wij kwamen voor het theater dit was op loopafstand net zoals de eetgelegenheden. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Great little place with a host who really makes you feel welcome. Gave good advise to the city and where to have dinner. I was there a monday, so quite a few restaurants was closed, but he pointed out the ones that was opened and gave recommendations which I followed and did not regret. Breakfast was fantastic and I wish I could have stayed a few days more.

Nothing to speak of. I prefer a little harder bed, but else I really cannot find anything negative to mention.

Attention to detail is the first thing that comes to mind. This was not just another hotel, it was a very enjoyable 5 star experience. From the warm friendly welcome until our farewell, this will be the hotel that first comes to mind after 5 weeks of travel for all the right reasons. And yes as you will have read in other reviews don’t forget to enjoy the superb breakfast.

Immaculate B&B with lovely attention to detail for an exceptional stay for guests. Our kind and welcoming host, Jaap, prepared a gorgeous breakfast.

The steep stairs.

Fellow that runs the place was very friendly, happy to carry our bags up the very steep stairs. Free parking on the street. Was quiet at night, little street noise. Our room was large and comfortable.

Odd that you have to pay extra for breakfast at a B&B. Sort of confusing. I think breakfast was 17 euros each so we passed on that. Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room. Would rather have had a fully separate bathroom. Our room had sink and glass doored shower in the room and a separate toilet with door.

Fantastische ervaring met een geweldige en hartelijke gastheer voor wie niets teveel is. Deze man heeft het gastheerschap in het bloed! Heerlijk en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Wij sliepen in de "shabby chique" kamer en die was ook echt super luxe, wij hebben genoten!

We had a great stay! The host was super friendly and welcoming, really a lovely person. The room was clean, spacious, and had big windows with a nice view of the church tower. There’s even Netflix if you want it. Breakfast was tasty and nicely prepared. Overall, such a wonderful stay!

Ontbijt was verrukkelijk, gastheer was erg goed in het uitleggen over wat wij wilde gaan doen boot huren en mooie fietstochten!!! Een aanrader dus!!!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Der Gastgeber ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Vor der Haustür kann man 2 Stunden kostenlos parken, in ca. 50 m Entfernung ist aber ein kostenloser, großer Parkplatz.

Das Zeitfenster zum Einchecken (16-18 Uhr) ist eng begrenzt.

B&B De Stadssingel is a beautifully restored property and a true delight to stay in. Jaap is an incredibly warm and welcoming host who has created a space that’s both elegant and inviting. Our room had an exquisite garden view, a striking piece of artwork that added a lovely touch, and divine bathroom products that made it feel like an exclusive boutique hotel. The breakfast was exceptional—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We also really appreciated the secure bicycle parking. A standout experience from start to finish.

Jaap was a fantastic host. We rented his e-bikes for the day and had a wonderful time biking along his recommended route. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning

Do yourself a favor and have breakfast in the most serene place one can ask for. The breakfast here is a piece of love from the Dutch owner to the fortunate customers who get to know a slice of the Dutch tranquil country life. The back garden is bliss and so is breakfast with a view. The spacious, comfortable rooms are so tastefully decorated and have all the amenities that make a traveler's life a little better, inclusive of Marie Stella Maris cosmetics and a really strong power shower. The Green Room itself is a gem in itself, while the view makes you think of a Roman garden! But the real master is the owner: attentive, kind, generous and never too short of energy to look after whatever your needs may be. And while not connected with the property, the nearby beautiful park is a lovely after breakfast stroll.

There is nothing one cannot possibly like here. Everything is simply perfect.

The room was very cozy and beautiful. Shampoo and body lotion were super nice. Shower was just perfect!

I could not leave my bag at the hotel on the following day, so I needed to take my bags to Giethoorn. The weather was not very good, I didn't have time to find the locker so I took the bags with me to the place where I had rent the boat. My mum and I were exhausted by the end of the day.
