Reviewed Apr 5, 2026Larrie & Tina are so friendly, they greet you as though you're family and definitely go the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable. The unit is spotlessly clean, warm & dry and the beds are very comfortable. We booked this accommodation in Waihi beach to be with family over Easter but wanted to be able to come back to the unit for some rest and relaxation during the day. And that was exactly what we got, the place has a lovely relaxing vibe. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach when the sliding door is open. What a fantastic place! We loved it.

Tina and Larry were wonderfully friendly and so kind and hospitable. They even brought us more banana bread. Laid back and perfect for 3 days of beach walking, hiking and watching the surfers. You can walk on the beach for hours at low tide. not crowded at all. highly recommend.

Very quiet place and only 100m from the beach. Could have stayed for longer than 2 nights. Easy to relax with nice outdoor seating and table.
