Sehr nettes Paar. Man fühlt sich wid zuhause. Fahrräder werden gestellt, so ist man schnell am Strand und in der Stadt. Leckeres Frühstück im süßen Garten.

Wim en Kitty zijn een hele lieve en zorgzame gastheer en gastvrouw. De B&B is heel gezellig en warm. Wim maakt met veel liefde een heerlijk ontbijt. Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf.

Sehr freundlich und gutes Frühstück

Die Lage war gut, weil man es sowohl in die Stadt als auch in die Dünen (zum Wasser) nicht so weit hatte. In der Nähe (ca 400 m) gab es kostenfreie Parkplätze, was in niederländischen Städten eine absolute Ausnahme ist.

Das Frühstück war, im Gegensatz zu unseren anderen Unterkünften in den Niederlanden, fast schon spartanisch und etwas lieblos, obwohl die Atmosphäre ansonsten (zu) privat war. Das Badezimmer war eine Etage tiefer; das hat genervt.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Frans Hals B&B bei den herzlichen und äußerst hilfsbereiten Gastgebern Wim und Kitty, bei denen man sich sofort willkommen fühlte. Das Frühstück im tollen Garten war ein Highlight; ebenso standen Kaffee, Tee rund um die Uhr im Flur vor dem Zimmer kostenlos zur Verfügung, Softdrinks, Bier und Wein gegen Gebühr. Die ruhige, zentrale Lage im wunderschönen Haarlem ist ideal für Ausflüge in die nahe Altstadt sowie den tollen Strand im Dünen-Naturschutzgebiet. Wir bekamen tolle Tipps sowie kostenlose Fahrräder und Leihlektüre vom Kunstkenner Wim. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und mit bequemer Matratze, sodass wir gut geschlafen haben. Ein charmantes, herzliches B&B – sehr zu empfehlen!

Absolutely loved staying here, made to feel very welcome and Andrea, the host, was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good and the location was great, very close to the station and main town centre.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in toller Lage – man war schnell am Meer und gleichzeitig schnell in der Innenstadt von Haarlem. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Alles war sauber und gemütlich, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Das Zimmer zur Straßenseite war aufgrund des Straßenverkehrs teilweise etwas laut und die Vorhänge dunkeln gut ab, aber nicht komplett. Es gibt auch ein Zimmer zur anderen Seite des Hauses, dieses können wir allerdings nicht beurteilen

Zu erfahren, wie man in einem der huebschen Haeuser wohnt, hat sich sehr gelohnt. Sehr freundliche Betreuung, sehr geschmackvoll. Die Lage ist gut fuer Stadtbesichtigung, die Anbindung mit dem Zug nach Amsterdam war problemlos.

It was advertised as private bathroom but we didnt expect it to be on the other floor. Nonetheless, we had a great stay here!

Fantastisch ontbijt, helemaal op maat gemaakt. Kitty en Wim leggen je echt in de watten, zijn gezellig en geïnteresseerd in wie ze in huis hebben. Het is ook heel leuk om met de andere gasten aan één tafel te ontbijten

De sanitaire voorzieningen zijn superschoon, maar een beetje gehorig

Wir wurden sehr herzlich und freundlich empfangen von dem Hausherrn. Unser gemütliches Zimmer war im 2.Stock, ausgestattet mit einem kleinen Waschbecken. Das Bett war sehr bequem.In einem sehr gemütlichen Wohn-Esszimmer war das Frühstück angerichtet. Räder standen für uns bereit.

Das Auto muss etwas weiter weg geparkt werden, was man einfach nur wissen sollte. Genauso wie, dass das zum Zimmer gehörige Badezimmer einen Stock tiefer ist.

Het ontbijt was goed voorzien van broodjes, croissants, yoghurt, een gekookt eitje naar keuze, koffie en thee en diverse soorten beleg. Gezellig bloemetje op tafel en kaarsjes aan. De slaapkamer was schoon en gezellig. Fijn dat we een eigen doucheruimte en eigen toilet hadden! Er is een kacheltje geregeld voor extra warmte. Zo lief! Als extra staat er een koelkast met diverse drankjes en een koffie/theeautomaat voor algemeen gebruik. De mogelijkheid bestaat dat je fietsen kunt lenen. Je krijgt superveel informatie, want de verhuurders zijn erg goed op de hoogte van Haarlem en wat er actueel is. Er zijn diverse foldertjes en verschillende boeken ter informatie te leen. Voor zowel bezoek aan de stad, het Kenemmerland of strandbezoek en fietstochten.

De locatie is niet echt in het centrum, maar dat vinden wij niet erg. Verder kunnen wij niets bedenken.

Sehr freundliche aufgeschlossene Gastgeber. Herr Wilhelm gab uns tolle Ausflugtipps! Der Bahnhof ist fussläufig zu erreichen.

Kitty and Wim were hospitable and welcoming. Wim went above and beyond to help us find the spots we wanted to visit and gave us the history about each place. He is uber approachable, knowledgeable interesting and interested in us. Kitty is equally hospitable and works quietly behind the scene making sure “alles gut”. The amenities were great as was the breakfast. The attention to detail was noted and appreciated ie. warm buns,lighted candles. The bikes we borrowed (no charge!) to ride to the sea were up to date and well maintained. Wim made sure I was a safe rider before I could go off on a bike adventure. This concern showed me two things:1) he cares about my safety in and among the many skilled riders in Haarlem 2) the safety of the other riders in Haarlem and the bike! He was right to do this as I had not cycled for a while and it was a moment out of our day. The cycling was my favourite adventure on this leg of our European vacation. We will not forget the kindness of Kitty and Wim.

Das Frühstück war super, frisch gepresster Orangensaft, Käse, Wurst etc.. Frühstücksei auf die Minute fertig. Lecker Kaffee und bei schönem Wetter wird das Frühstück draußen genossen. Einfach ein toller Start in den Tag .🙏🙏🙏

Petit déjeuner copieux dans un cadre très agréable. Les hôtes étaient disponibles et d'une grande gentillesse, il nous ont laissé l'opportunité de stocker nos bagages avant notre départ.

La localisation des sanitaires à l'étage inférieur n'est pas idéale.

Wonderful hosting by the owner’s daughter Andrea who was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Lovely home that was a reasonable walk to the center of town. We like Haarlem so much we didn’t go to Amsterdam. Nice breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Bikes available to borrow which we didn’t do.

Steep stairs but we know that ahead of time and Andrea helped with our luggage. Good handrails.

William was very helpful with our travel plans, researching routes and making suggestions of places to visit. Breakfast was delicious. Location easy to find and central.

the room was a bit tight, and while we half expected the bathroom to be separate, we were still surprised, and not delighted. the description of the room stated, private bathroom, and it was but not in the way it is private when ensuite. the confined room did not allow for a proper yoga routine as i had expected and hoped for.

We stayed 3 nights. Wim and Kitty were great hosts. Wim was very happy to share his knowledge of Haarlem and many other experiences. Lovely home in a great location, very clean, quiet room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Bikes were available to explore the area, we went for a ride to the beach. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Andrea was taking over host stories for her parents, she made an awesome breakfast and gave us good suggestions for places to go and things to do. The house was charming and comfortable, a delightful place to stay.

Will and Kitty were such an amazing hosts. They were friendly, kind, willing to help and offering advices and very professionals. The facilities and the flexibility were perfect and the breakfast was outstanding. They really take care of us during the stay

Situated 10 mins walk from Train Station/Bus Station (Bus 300 from Schipoll to last stop in Haarlem , around 30 mins) Perfect Stay. nice breakfast, room was very comfortable and quiet. Kettle/Coffee machine for Guests plus a fridge on landing adjacent to rooms. The Owners were away but their Family- Peter (excellent check-in, carried my bag to room without being asked) and Andrea provided an excellent breakfast every morning. Small garden area at back of House that was nice to sit in

Beautiful home. Everything was perfect. The bathroom was in the hall, which was fine for us, but might bother some people. Very nice breakfast. Lovely garden . Bikes to use. .We were able to bike to the beach. What a treat!! 15 min. Walk to center of town.

It gave the feeling of living in a Dutch home. Everything was spotless. The breakfast was fine. The best part was the host and hostess. Wim is an avid historian! I enjoyed learning from him!

For me personally I would have liked to have a restaurant or cafe by the property. I am older and travel alone by train; for younger travelers or couples the walk to restaurants would have been easy.

Lovely location - slightly out of the centre, but an easy walk in. The owners were extremely helpful with local tips etc. We borrowed bikes for a great day trip into tbe countryside and to the beach.

Beautiful 3 story historic home on a Main street of Haarlem. Easy access from Haarlem Central train station. By far the best part of our stay was the hosts/homeowners, Wim and Kitty. Wim is so knowledgeable about the city of Haarlem and history of the area with a gift of hospitality. Kitty made a beautiful breakfast setting and kept the place clean. Loved our stay here.

The stairs are very typical for the area but we were a bit surprised by how steep and narrow they are everywhere here and in Amsterdam.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful town, easy to travel by train or bus to Amsterdam or surrounding areas.

The only caution is that there are stairs up to the room, which is made clear in the listing. Our host offered to help us with our luggage. It is a beautiful heritage property.

Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts. Haarlem is the perfect place to stay when visiting Amsterdam because it is cleaner, quieter, safer, cheaper, and perfectly lovely in its own right!

I have a bad back, so perhaps the mattress could have been a little softer. Still enjoyed my stay very much!

Our room was very cosy and comfortable, with fresh flowers (from the garden) to make extra homely. Good wifi access. The breakfast is very good - as full a continental breakfast as you will find anywhere - this was taken at a large, splendid wooden table in the pleasant dining/living room. Very friendly hosts and Wim(William) is very knowledgeable about the local area and Dutch history/culture (and much more besides) - we enjoyed breakfast conversations. They kindly lent us bicycles, so we were able to explore the local area, including the nearby National Park (woodland, dunes, lakes and coast) - this was much appreciated Frans Hals B&B is located close to Haarlem train/bus station (an easy 10 minute walk) and makes for a good base. Haarlem is a delightful, elegant town, with easy access to the coast (cycle or walk) and very regular trains to Amsterdam (20 minutes journey). Staying in Haarlem is more pleasurable than being in the 'hustle and bustle' of Amsterdam. Recommend a visit to the Teyler's Museum - it is a real wonder. Also recommend a visit to Kerkenhof flower garden - it offered a floral spectacle and entertainment in the pavilions for a full day. We spent an enjoyable 6 nights here and would be very happy stay at Frans Hals B&B again - recommended.

Nothing of any consequence. It would have been a bonus to have had fresh fruit offered as an option for breakfast - but we did visit in winter!
