The property was in a fantastic location, it was super clean, the hosts were incredibly lovely and their two dogs were cute. It was a quiet but convenient place to stay, with everything you needed.

The bed was a bit soft for my liking, but for others that may be what they like :)

Single traveler with dog. Liked that the property is pet friendly. Liked the hosts were naturally hospitable and a pleasure to meet. The breakfast! A proper hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.

I booked this accommodation for my parents who loved their stay. The room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and they said the host were lovely. Will definitely book again and go myself next tkme

Very welcoming stay. It's close enough to everything and you don't have the sulphur smell of Roturua. Food for breakfast was fantastic and rooms were nice, large and felt private.

Everything at 5 Acres has been great. It’s really impossible to find any defect or issue. It felt like heaven, so I definitely recommend it!

Breakfast was excellent. Spacious bedroom. Very nice decor & lovely towels. Very accessible shower. Nice outdoor sitting area. Great that we were able to have our dog with us. Hosts were friendly & helpful with local knowledge & suggestions. Interacting with other guests.

Hoped and preferred a fridge, microwave, jug & toaster in room. Needed a Towel holder for hand towel Accumulation of water outside door. Had to walk over stones which I found difficult. Difficult to keep dogs from going into our room

Great communication with the host throughout who was very accommodating and cooked a great breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable with nice en-suite facilities. Clean and well appointed. Plenty of space. Both Taupo and Rotorua are about 45 mins away as well the Hobbiton adventures for those into that. Waitomo is about 1hr 20 mins.

Jacinta’s place is a gem! The house is very clean, the breakfast was absolutely amazing, and we enjoyed chatting with the host and getting to know her two cute dogs! The bed is very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. There was even chocolates thoughtfully placed on the bed, which was a “sweet” touch. I would highly recommend Jacinta and Mike’s warm and welcoming place.

It was an exceptional overnight stay. Better than home from home, quiet, luxurious. Better than anywhere breakfast served in the hosts home. Perfect. Can definitely recommend this place with confidence to anyone else

Zeer vriendelijke mensen. Mooie luxe ruime kamer. Er zijn 2 kamers, wij kregen de andere dan geboekt omdat die ruimer en warmer was en niet verhuurd.

Het feit dat je door de keuken en eetkamer van de eigenaars naar je kamer moet. Ook ontbijten doe je in de eetkamer. Ze zijn zelf niet aanwezig maar wij vonden het geen prettig idee.

We were offered a wonderful cooked breakfast, which we really enjoyed. I assume there would have been an alternative to the cooked breaskfast - cereals, fruit and toast or ? It would be helpful to know when telling others.

The room was spacious with a large, glass door to the exterior. Jacinta was very helpful with information about dinner and places of interest to visit. The Eggs Benedict were second to non!

This lovely B&B with four ensuite double rooms on a rural property is strategically locacted within about a 45 min (or less) drive from several key attractions: Taupo to the south, Rotorua to the east, Hamilton and Sanctuary Mountain to the north - and lots more. The guest rooms are very comfortable and the host is most welcoming and accommodating. It is a very relaxing place to stay, where guests are free to use the kitchen and the living areas. We stayed four nights, and enjoyed great day trips to Taupo and Rotorua (twice each).

Local eateries (in Tokoroa, a 5-min drive) are very basic, and mainly fast-food chain outlets, so we ate early dinners in Rotorua and Taupo before returning to 5 Acres. It's close to State Highway 1, and we imagine traffic noise could be significant at certain times (which would require the room's outside doors and windows to be kept closed at night). It didn't trouble us as road works on SH1 meant deviations were in place that diverted a lot of traffic.

Jacinta's home was exceptionally clean. It was homely, comfortable and lots of effort and love has been put into their home. They were incredibly welcoming (even staying up until 3am to check us in) and we were really comfortable staying here. The shower pressure was the best! The beds were big, warm and cosy. We loved everything. A beautiful, well maintained home with exceptional hosts.

Rooms is very nice, clean and comfy, great swimming pool and amazing covered outdoor area you can relax and hang out. Nice and clean and brand new bathroom.

We chose 5 Acres for it's proximity to both Rotorua and Taupo. Our hosts were very welcoming, the bedroom was spacious, with a large very comfortable kingsize bed with quality linen. The mini Whittaker's chocolate bars were a nice touch. There was a patio area just outside the sliding door with a table and 2 chairs. Although no A/C, a fan was provided which did a sterling job. The ensuite was also generous with lovely toiletries. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast was again generous and when I mentioned that I usually only have a yoghurt for breakfast back home our host went out and specially bought assorted pots of yoghurt just for me. Talk about being spoiled! Advice about local attractions, road directions etc was spot on.

Nothing to do with the property we stayed in, but struggled to get an evening meal in the local town on a Saturday night, unless you are happy with fast food takeout.

Lovely room, friendly hosts and delicious breakfast

This is the second time we’ve stayed at 5 acres bed-and-breakfast. Mike and Jacinda are fantastic hosts and really make you feel at home. In addition, the breakfast was home-cooked and excellent! Unfortunately, there’s not much to do in the area, so this was just a relaxing stop for us on our way to Napier.

Jacinta was a Amazing host, easy communication, Good parking , My dog had a huge area to roam while we were there. The room was like walking in to a 5* hotel, Bed was great & the shower was 110% brilliant. Fantastic breakfast...
