Great host, beautiful location, did extra to assist us, great food and vibes, fun swiming pool. Nice design and special bathroom.
Nothing not to like
No like
Not what it shows on the pictures.Worse hotel I've been to bedroom is lack of prison.Swimming pool is very, very, very small. They will serve you your food with warm water. You have to ask for ice and the water was not clean
I like that it is away from the noise of the city ... super close to the lake.
unfortunately, the lake is very dirty when I got there :( . it's not the properties' fault but I had my expectations.
After a one-month trip around the Philippines islands, the baywalk suite was my last and favorite accommodation. The place is perfect to rest, relax and reset. It is full with plants and colourful flowers. The swimming pool is so refreshing. Ray and Juliette are the most gentle and caring Filipinos I met. Ray is an awesome cook, I wish I had the time to taste the entire menu. If you love nature and are after a quiet place, while enjoy the beauty of Batangas region, I highly recommend it.
We really liked how calm and relaxing it is - there is not too many people there and it's quite secluded. For this it was perfect , with a great food options and friendly welcoming host, and you can also see the sunrise from a great viewpoint just Infront of the property.

The whole experience was exceptional, Peace and quiet was what we wanted and what we got.
The food was outstanding and the hosts very friendly and helpful.
Its nice
I have small suggestion : Hi! I would like to suggest a great idea that could enhance your place even more for your guests. Since your location is near Taal, you might consider developing a designated swimming area where visitors can safely enjoy the water and relax while taking in the beautiful view. A well-maintained swimming spot or small beach-style area could attract more guests, especially during holidays and weekends. It would also give your visitors a more enjoyable and memorable experience. I believe this addition could really increase your appeal and make your place stand out even more. Thank you for considering this suggestion!

The owner really understands what touches are best appreciated by overseas guests.
No hot water, but that's pretty normal for budget level
Staff. And the food was delicious 😋
Location was far from most people, how everyone has different plans for there vacation time
Тишина, красивый сад, бассейн, вкусная еда за хорошую цену, соотношение цена/качество.
Прохладная вода в душе.
Amazing
Nothing
In a beautiful position on the Lake with a fab view of the volcano. Ray and all the staff were so helpful and Ray is a great chef! We loved our stay so much. It is a little far from town but Ray can get you transport no problem! We even went fishing at the lakes edge!
Great service, great location, great food... Many thanks to Ray and his staff for an exellent time in Batangas?
The owner of the property was very nice. The place was very nice and it was very quiet. I loved it.
There is nothing I find there’s no good
The host Ray and his wife were absolutely brilliant. My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time and look forward to returning soon. The best experience I have had in the Philippines by far. Highly recommended.
Nil. I only wish I had more time to spend there.
Henry was the best host! We had wonderful meals, a comfortable room, and the privacy of being the only guests for several days... This was probably the most relaxing and value packed stay of our lifetime. I stayed at bigger, better, more elaborate accommodations, but Baywalk and Henry made this trip very special for us. Thank you!
It's not really anything we didn't like. It's remote and not what you may think of as a tourist hotspot. If you want lights, action, walking the streets, going out? Don't go here. If you want beautiful flowers, private accommodations, and a great staff who stays out of the way while providing economical luxury and great food....? Baywalk might be the retreat you're looking for to connect or reconnect with a special someone... Thanks again, Henry
Food on site was excellent. Beautiful gardens in secluded enclave
Surrounding area outside not very attractive
It was a great breakfast and we liked it very much.
Cozy room in a small quaint resort (three rooms only) on the far end of Laurel facing the Taal volcano island. Not much to do around besides relaxing - Tagaytay is far and unless you have your own vehicle (unlike us) expect to pay and spend a lot of time to get to the town - but the host is really friendly and provides activities for those who don't want to sit idle. Decent, and again really quiet and lazy, place to spend a day or two otherwise.
Only issue is the shower had no hot water and the room nearest the swimming pool, sink was leaking heavily.
Mr. Rey and the staff are really nice and very accommodating. The food is wonderful. The environment outside is good as the Taal Lake is just few steps away.
The room is too small and no hot water.
Amazing and very welcoming hosts, nice garden, clean room, stunning lake view
This place was so peaceful you'd want to gatekeep it to yourself, is something we thought after celebrating my partner's birthday.. The lodging was neat and prepared for the stay. The view when from inside the room, when you get out is perfect with the place decors and setting with the view of the lake and volcano. The sofa near the room and pool was soothing to relax as the wind blows very fresh all the time. View from their eatery is stunning as well, served with fresh food and ingredients and was cooked with more than our expectations. We even saw them bring in fresh fish from the lake. Everything was refreshing and calming, just like the beautiful lake. The room and their place is perfect for doing WFH when its peace and quite place is ample in space. You can also get around the baywalk and explore a bit nearby for a good stretch and views. This also gave us perfect opportunity to use our old digicam and tripod for the added experience and memories to keep. The owner gave very interesting talk about the place the area and the whats next to do if we ever get the chance to do, the local tips are really great, much thanks to Sir Rey! much appreciated stay! also bring your own slippers we were lucky they lent us so we could explore with ease hihi.
Our host Mr Ray is very accommodating and very helpful
Well considering the recent typhoon Kristine that greatly affected Laurel and Agoncillo,, its aftermath is still visibly present. Baywalk Suites was not spared but management is doing a great job to be back!!!
Nice location in front of the lake Good food, Small swimming pool, New experience
No hot water at all.
The property is a cosy estate right in front of the lake, where the road ends. It was full of flowers, and very relaxing. The owner and the staff are very helpful, and the communication before and during the stay was perfect. The owner is also an excellent cook: not only the breakfast is very good, but we suggest to try the other dishes, for lunch or dinner. The room is small, with a comfortable bed and a nice veranda. The aarea is quiet, and the only noises during the night are tree gekos and roosters (who insist keeping track of time every hour, who knows why).
One can hear the other guests through the walls. If they are polite and quiet, like in our case, it isn't a problem, but it's worth a mention. Other issues we had during our stay came from the recent typhoon (not even two months before our stay around Christmas 2024), that hit the area quite badly, with extensive damages to roads and other infrastructures (including the two bridgest to the nearby town). For this reason, we had to stay in the property one day: after a night of extremely heavy rain, the road was a pond, and our rental sedan couldn't drive in it for several hours. Things are getting better, and now everything seems to work, getting better every week.
A very calming and tranquil place. Great for relaxing and destressing. Staff are welcoming, helpful and attentive.
We had a nice stay. Very friendly owner and good food :)
Very pleasant resort with incredible and attentive hosts. Definitely the place to chill. Enjoyed having dinner looking over the lake. Spent most of time on the outside sitting areas. Food choices was reasonable and yummy, especially tilapia which is fresh and grown locally.
Staff was very friendly
Perfect getaway to unwind and away from city life. Great view of taal lake. Staff are exceptionally accomodating.
Charger ports should be away from the bed. Blanket is too thin.
This place is just across Taal Lake and offers a serene and relaxing view, perfect for unwinding. The owner is very accommodating and provided us with all the information we needed. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.
Amazing location, great host, property is very clean, good food! Great value for the price.
Tranquil and quiet, set in beautiful gardens at the foot of the breathtaking view. The room was clean and well catered for, I haven't slept that well in weeks. The hosts were kind and attentive and great to talk to, even going so far to arrange our onward travel. The location was good too, easy to get into the local town which is definitely worth exploring if you get the chance.
No notes
Breakfast was a typical Filipino brekky, comforting
Room was a little bit small and the bathroom has no door , shower head is leaking a lot of water and no heater as well
Great Resort with wonderful views. Owner Ray does everything to make you feel welcome and at home.
Peaceful and beautiful remote hotel. Good food and environment. And great amenities, excellent massage service. The owner is fantastic and will help you to have an excellent stay. They have many activities available and I should recommend it also to groups.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The food was great and had a very good presentation too. The location is good for relaxation and for appreciating the beauty of the Taal Volcano. The set up is more of nature, it was inspired by the concept of MAF hotels. The owner must be really amazing. 😊 I really appreciate this property as it has personal touches from check in to check out. Kuya Nestor gave us free Indian mangoes which I gave to my family members when I got home. Thank you for sharing with us the beauty of Tagaytay-Batangas part of the Philippines. Thank you so much, Sir Rey.
Nothing really much if we had known the reason of the maximum time for check in. It was my bad though. Lol.
The property is just in front of Taal Lake where we had the chance to visit the Taal Volcano Island and the surroundings.
No complaints.
The "hotel" is someone's home, currently renting out three rooms. As such, it felt like home. The views of the lake and volcano island were superb, and there were comfortable seating to just relax or hang out. The breakfast (an additional charge) was quite good. Ray arranged for us to ride a boat to the volcano island, which was a unique experience. It's near Tagaytay and the town of Taal, where we went to tour a historical house and the 16th century church. So there are many little excursions to do. My advice is to stay at least two nights. Unfortunately, we did not have the time to do that, but we still enjoyed it. There was plenty of parking, and the vibe was really relaxed.
The rooms were a bit small for two people. I had suggested to Ray that the rooms need more "spread out" space and to remove most of the plants in the room (perhaps that would help). Because the rooms were small, I wonder if the cost could be lowered a little to compensate. And also manage guests' expectations about the room size.
Peaceful and relaxing place with a nice view of the Taal lake; accommodating and helpful staff
I booked both of their rooms for my stay on my honeymoon. Rey is very accommodating. Great breakfasts, laundry service, and drove me to my hotel after I checked out. I hope to go back one day.
Great place for my honeymoon. Great lakeside and mountain view, very nice garden decor. Good breakfast meals with coffee. Good restaurants nearby.
Staff are very friendly and helpful! The hotel is beautiful and well decorated and designed. The view is incredible! Breakfast was lovely. We had fantastic excursions to local attractions!
Only 2 restaurants nearby currently but more being built.
Loved the peacefulness, Rey and his staff were very kind and helpful to us. The breakfasts with a view were fantastic 😁 Can’t wait to return.
The view
Isolated location. There is no food served at hotel only breakfast (limited choice) to be ordered the night before. Swimming pool is for show. I wouldnt try using it as it is dirty and unfiltered. The dogs at the property are all sick. We left a day earlier than planned
The place and the area was beautiful. The food was really good. The AC works properly.
The location is really bad as there’s nothing to do, no restaurants or supermarkets. The room, bed and bathroom are too small for 2 people, and the bed and pillows are super hard. Our main complaint is about the dogs that live at the property. There are three puppies and one big male. All of them are super sick with something skin related, the owner said it’s allergies from the fish of the lake and that the community was treating all of them (the issue was with all of the dogs of the area) but that there wasn’t much that they could do. We strongly disagree with that, we believe there’s much you can do to take care and love them. They were sad, weak, sick and abandoned. It looked like nobody cared about them, it’s a really hard thing to see, specially when they are living 24/7 at the property with you. The owner and the community should take responsibility for them, they weren’t just sick, they were terribly skinny. The rooms are quite expensive so we don’t think it’s because they don’t have money to deal with them. They have good cars, their own houses and good clothes. It feels like they just don’t care about the animals. The place is good and it would have a much different score if it wasn’t because of this. We just don’t think it’s ok that animals get treated like this.
Gorgeous setting, peaceful and relaxing. Room was spotless and bed comfy. Staff so helpful - Ray helped us with transfers from airport and back to Manila. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner there one night which was also excellent. Short walk down to the lake and lovely scenery.
Not loads to do nearby unless you have your own transport so if staying for more than a couple days I would recommend looking into getting motorbike or car rental!
Perfect location for taal volcano. Breakfast with an amazing view. Extremely kind staff - they organized a tour for us, very well priced. They waited for us until very late.
Bed is quite hard. Music the whole morning, light the whole night. Access is not obvious - Google maps will not take you there. Contact the hotel first.
This is a really nice place in overall: It has an amazing view to the lake Taal and the volcano. The area around is really quiet and safe. Mr Rey, the owner of the place is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. He took me to the hospital when I needed it and was very helpful with many other things. He is a genuine, good man. What's more, the food and coffee that he prepares are absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back to Baywalk Suites on the next opportunity.
The only downside ware the rare blackouts, but this is to be expected in any part of the country really.
Very peaceful place, Rey is very nice and welcoming. The location is amazing and very close to the volcano Taal.
The view, privacy and inspiring story. Thank yoh so much Sir Rey . Till we meet again.
location right by Taal lake, private, lots of plants/flowers, good food, dogs :)
difficult to find
the time we got there around 1 in the morning there’s no electricity but the owner give us a GC for the next time we book in their resort
The privacy and simpleness yet relaxing and comfortable ambience of the place

the owner is very friendly and the meal is fantastic

A feeling of home in the place... The host was very hospitable.
It’s like home the way I have treat there
Rey is a very good host
Hospitality, food and personal touch and service of the owner. He is very accommodating and made sure we are comfortable. Suggests also itinerary that we can consider while in the property. Ideal place where you can disconnect, reconnect with yourself and nature. Highly recommended! Excited for its expansion. Thanks Sir R and Sir N! See you again soon - T&E
More rooms in the future and keep the simplicity and home vibe of the place.
staff are very accomodating and the view is really exceptional bcoz u can view better the taal lake
nothing
tasty foods and relaxing views
unkept pool
I enjoyed the 5 nights stay at Baywalk Suites in Batangas... The place is so beautiful, facing the view by Taal Lake and every morning me and my sister we had to watch the sunrise and have breakfast, lunch and dinner by the view... I do really like the place , peace and quiet and comfortable.. We got the whole place by ourselves. Until the guest arrived , they coupled, very nice and funny, then we become friends... The host "Ray" is so lovely and friendly, the helper kuya Nestor is very helpful and kind.. We went for a walk just near the lake we saw an amazing view... Ray spoiled us i already missed the place. I would like to live there one day. We and myself definitely coming back to that resort...
I can't think , because I like everything .
The staff were very hospitable and the location was perfect to relax.
all.
the mini pool. hope that the owner will pay close attention to this.
I was looking for a spot that would be close to nature and this place definitely checked that box being literally right beside the baywalk.
Clear directions to the place and adding signage along the main road would surely be of great help in finding the area
The location is off the beaten track and not the easiest to find. Located within metres of the shore of lake Taal the simple exterior opens into a surprise, a simple but beautiful garden full of exotic plants and relaxed seating areas. The property itself is simple but more than adequate but what makes it special is the owner Ray who cannot do enough for you cooking delicious breakfasts and an evening meal on request.
Nothing
The place is so private, quaint, rustic, lovely. The sound of the waves and the cool wind perfectly relaxes and really takes you away from the stresses of life without having to take a flight from. Manila. The grilled tilapia and/or grilled liempo is worthy of competing with 5 star restaurants. The hospitality and service is personal, sincere, warm. I am definitely coming back. The clean room and bathroom surpasses the standards of small "homes away from homes"
The bathroom though small is very clean and new. I just wish it were a bit bigger but it was not really a problem because the place is so awesome. The dock to the lake was damaged because of the typhoon and it was something I was looking forward to but that is beyond the control of the host.
The views were amazing. The gentleman who runs the place was so nice and helpful. He seemed genuinely interested in us and our plans. As we couldn't climb the volcano (the government have banned people from the island due to recent activity) He organised an early morning boat trip, which was amazing! All in all, a great stay! He also gave us a lift to manila airport for our flight (for a charge, of course). I would also advise taking him up on his offer of a lift from Taygaytay. The accommodation isn't the easiest to get to and the tricycle guys just rip you off.
