Nuuk Taal Lake

The place is ideal if you want to rest and just enjoy the surroundings. This destination has limited activities, but that is actually the charm of Nuuk. You are forced to just enjoy the art of doing nothing.

Overall I really love everything in this place including the staff and employees.

There are not enough superlatives to fully describe the wonderful staff, venue and location of Nuuk Taal Lake. Everything is top tier offering the best hospitality experience I have had in the last year of living in The Philippines. This was my second visit here and wont be my last. This trip was to celebrate my wedding anniversary and the team helped me organise a beautiful surprise for my wife, thank you all again! We are already planning our next trip, Nuuk is the perfect getaway to decompress from daily life in Manila. Thank you all once more and see you soon!

I liked the sense of exclusiveness since there are only 8 rooms/villas. The distance from Manila is very manageable, only about 2 hours from Mandaluyong on a weekend. The staff and their service was excellent. The food in Ilulli Restaurant was superb! I was not able to do any activity so I will definitely go back.

This property is truly stunning. Situated in front of Taal Volcano , early mornings in Nuuk is breathtaking. The serenity of Nuuk makes this place so memorable. The staff provided excellent service, they were attentive to our needs that make our stay super comfortable. Let’s talk about the food ! If you are looking for Filipino fare this is not the place BUT if you are looking for dishes that will blow your taste buds away this is the place!! We will dream of the slow braised lamb shank, stuffed chicken wings, fish and the sticky glazed chicken for days to come. Go to Nuuk, you won’t regret it.

The space and everything around it is breathtaking. The staff and service was excellent. The only thing I would change is to stay longer because I didn't have enough time to enjoy it all

Loved all the decor and the beautiful rooms. The view was spectacular and the food at the restaurant was incredible!

It felt like the staff were just always watching us wherever we went or whatever we did. The whole place only has a few rooms so it was not full when we stayed, which was probably the reason why this happened. However, we felt uncomfortable at times and felt like we couldn't just enjoy the space and walk around the area without having someone watching nearby. Also we brought food from outside, and we got in and the room wasn't ready so we started eating it outside and was told by the staff we couldn't eat it and we had to wait for our room to be ready. By the time we checked in, the food we brought was cold and it ended up being a waste.

Very nice place with helpful staff. Well-maintained rooms. Food is a bit overpriced and serving time can take anywhere from 30-45mins at mealtimes if your group comes in 3rd onwards.

Everything is fantastic, except for some details (see below). The staff is friendly, service is very fast and there is practically a 1:1 ratio of service staff to guests (not counting more staff in the kitchen, porters, gardeners etc.), so it is a place where the guests are very well taken care of.

The wifi is too slow. It’s not normal and nobody helped to fix this, but instead just said “ah well, you might need to disconnect and reconnect”. It was consistently too slow- after several tries- to do anything other than write on whatsapp. After checking online reviews, this also seems a consistent problem with this property. This is simply not acceptable in the 21st century. They did not explain us anything when we checked in. We found ourselves in the room, unaware of breakfast times, where the pool is, whether there are pool towels, how to book massages etc. We had to go and ask all these things. With a property like this, there is a story - why is everything Danish themed? Why are there pictures of Greendlandic landscapes all over?… These kinds of backgrounds would also have been nice. They asked us to pre-order the dinner. When you know the concept of the hotel, that it’s small and a mix of guest house and hotel and the restaurant doesn’t cater to external guests, this makes sense. But since they never explained anything, it was weird - as in why is it necessary to pre-order in a restaurant? The room was perfect other than small details: a closet with no hangers, a minibar with nothing in it, a television remote that needs several pushes of the button to work. All of that is on the micro detail level, but when you are paying their prices, you can expect perfection. They are too price focused: When you ask for some bread for your (20 USD!!) salad, they tell you there’s a charge (really, for bread!). When you order a coffee at breakfast, they make a point of letting you know that only 3 refills are included and they tell you there’s count of the refills when they come to bring them. I’m at a luxury resort, but somehow this makes me feel like I’m counting the pennies on vacation.

We loved everything about this place from start to finish. They could not have done anymore. The staff and service with superb!

Very helpful staff and georgous setting with landscaped gardens. Internally decorated with care and attention to detail. About 90 minute drive from Manila's NAIA airport.

Staff are pro's and make everything a tailored experience. Loved to give them decent tip. Well deserved. We will be returning very soon. The chefs are excellent! Rooms are big and spacious. Really appreciated the welcome drinks, the attentiveness of staff and the board games are superb!!! In fact I hope theres more board games as it was really great to play with family. Table tennis is a great addition. The view.

Theres no long term stay deals or promotions which would be great to have! I got a splinter in my big toe which I believe was from a twig/branch which fell into the pool.

the house shows ageing, with the dust and smell of oldness, it triggered my allergies. the smell from the fisheries was strong as well.

This place is perfect. Relaxing and customer service is fantastic. Struggled with the food choices. Its not the best tasting and because its very secluded and there are no other restaurants in the area its really hard to find food choices. Basically lived on french fries as that is the only thing that interest me. But the facilities and how awesome this hotel surpasses the food problem we had. I would definitely go back to this hotel. Probably one of my favourite hotel.

Incredible staff with a lot of attention to the details. They are helpful and kind and always have a smile. We felt very comfortable there. The place is really amazing, pool is awesome and the food was great. We really enjoyed our time there.

It was a great and a very memorable 1 night stay as a gift from my Aunt La Sue & Tito Jun- a beautiful and superb villa loft room was reserved to us and an excellent service presented and lots of food too on our breakfast enjoying thè spectacular view of Taal Lake and its majestic volcano as it is very close to us thanks to a wonderful weather and very attentive and excellent staff.

First of all I would start to compliment the amazing staff with the only goal to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and safe. We had the chance to be so lucky to stay at the room Bornholm and Copenhagen and both rooms are super nice and we felt so welcomed. The food is amazing, and with a touch of the Nordic it is the best place to turn off your brain and relax. The staff will take care of the rest! 🍛 I highly recommend their calamanci!🍹

Everything! The ambiance, location, rooms, services, staff. Even the wifi speed exceeded my expectation.

1. Phone signal, this is a necessity that really needs to be reliably available in the property. 2. Food selection - the menu was great but it would be so much better if it has options that would also cater to other fancies like Asian or Local dishes. 3. Pool area dining - needs more lighting and subtle/quiet ventilation 4. Mosquitoes and flies - gotta get rid of these pests.

Up close and personal view of the Taal Lake and Volcano. The facilities are well maintained and so clean. Staff are welcoming and courteous. If you want a private, intimate, and peaceful getaway, this is the best place to be. Only up to 39 guests can be at the hotel. Everything is picture perfect!

Family really enjoyed this Beautiful oasis, just an hour and half outside of Manila. Everything about the property is breathtaking, the food is excellent. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated.

Our stay was just awesome!! The place so wonderful and all the staff from the manager Naeem, Carmella, Lyca, Jules, Arvin, Arrianne, Dhel - are all very kind and accommodating, so attentive to all our needs. Service was just so great!! I will bring my whole family next time we're able to come and will stay longer....and I'm even advertising this gem of a resort to all my Philippine families and friends. The rooms are big, clean and modern. Everything functioning so well! If you want to get away from the city or wants to vacation from abroad and stay in a quiet and lovely place to find peace and to rest quietly, to reconnect to your inner self, with the perfect view of the Taal lake in front of you, then, this is the place for you! The staff is super friendly and accomodating. Service is excellent and I can’t to come back to Philippines and would definitely will stay a night here. However I found the food prices little bit on the pricer side but that’s what you pay for the service and excellent food

Small boutique hotel, lovely position on the lake. Room was lovely and service excellent! Breakfast on the terrace was great. Peaceful and relaxing.

It was very expensive, with the restaurant pricier than most of the best restaurants in Manila. That said, the food was very good.
