It's right on the beach. U can hear the waves every morning when u wake up. Literally on the beach. Room is big and clean

Unfortunately there where no hot water... I hope she will fix it. She brought someone to fix.. but he couldn't do it

It was clean and spacious, close to the beach, bus stop and different food options. I loved many different plants and animals in the garden.

No hot water. The sink doesn’t have hot water option and in the shower, even if you open only hot water, cold water starts running after a few seconds. Only rain shower, not practial for women with long hair. Doors have gaps, so ants and lizards can get inside (was not a problem for us, but might be for someone else). Bring earplugs for sleep (cars with loud music, wind and sea can all be heard in the room). Host lives at the site so don’t expect full privacy.

A beautiful bungalow set in a tropical garden. 1 minute to the beach across the road. Close to all amenities, shops, restaurants and bars. Private car park.

Zentrale Lage und wunderschöner Strand gleich direkt gegenüber der Unterkunft. Man konnte zu Fuß auch die Supermärkte erreichen. Die Ausstattung der Küche war ausreichend für 2 Personen.

Der Straßenlärm ist leider wirklich ziemlich laut in der Früh. Für uns waren auch zuviele Miniameisen in der Küche. Die Türe von der Küche zum Schlafbereich lies sich auch nicht gut verschliessen. Generell dichten die Türen nicht so gut ab sodass von außen nach innen Gekos oder andere Tiere reingelangen können. Im großen und ganzen gehört das Apartment einfach wieder etwas aufgepäppelt für dieses Preisleistungsverhältniss.

Justo delante tiene la playa y zona de ocio y restaurantes, la dueña muy amable en todo y realizaba una limpieza diaria de la habitación.

Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilft beim Organisieren von z.B. Taxi und gibt Tipps. Es gibt alles was man braucht. Das Schlafzimmer ist groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Die Unterkunft ist direkt am Strand man muss nur über die Straße. Es ist zwar eine Hauptstraße aber es hat uns nicht gestört. Wir haben auch drinnen nix gehört von den Auto's draussen. Wir konnten also sehr gut schlafen. Alles war sauber. In 2 Minuten Fußweg gibt es einen Supermarkt und Take away.

La casetta si trova davanti alla spiaggia, bisogna solo attraversare la strada. È nella zona di Cote D’Or che è nel mezzo tra il porto di Praslin e le spiagge di Anse Lazio e Anse Giorgette. L’appartamento era pulito, non abbiamo provato la cucina perché siamo stati sempre fuori (nei pressi ci sono supermarket e take away). La proprietaria è gentile e non invadente.

The apartment is clean, well-equipped, and just across the street from a beautiful beach. The location is convenient, with a ferry terminal and bus stop nearby — in fact, buses stop right in front of the property.

Unfortunately, the hosting experience left much to be desired. Before arrival, I asked for help regarding public transport and was told to take a taxi because the host said it was too complicated and she didn’t know the bus schedules — even though the bus literally stops right in front of her veranda and the ride from the ferry terminal takes less than 10 minutes. Upon check-in, I was told not to bring any men into the property, which felt inappropriate and uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. Simple requests (like salt, oil, or local tips) were met with visible annoyance, and overall communication was cold and unwelcoming. Privacy also felt limited. I genuinely cannot relate to some of the other positive reviews. Perhaps the host treats solo female guests differently — I’ve never had this kind of experience elsewhere. While the apartment itself is pleasant, the lack of warmth and professionalism significantly affected the stay. I believe there are better options in the area with more respectful and guest-oriented hosts.

Absolutely loved our stay. Janine was the best host, attentive, kind & generous. The accommodation has all you need, is lovely & clean and is literally metres from the best beach on Praslin, Cote D'Or.. There is a lovely, well-priced restaurant which neighbours the property (La Goulue restaurant) with excellent food and for a smarter experience, there's Pirogue restaurant & bar just a short way down the street. Walk along the beach & Cafe des Arts is a welcoming stop with loads of places to relax with drinks and good food, it's part of the Le Duc 5* hotel which also has a good buffet breakfast. Paradise Sun is at the end of the beach with a curio shop & restaurant but was starting renovations so was not pleasant. There are at least 3 well-stocked grocery shops & bus stop within walking distance. It was wonderful to return to our home at Chez Lester every day and to sit on the balcony with drinks in the evenings.

All the negative points below are provided based on our experience from Mahé, Praslin and La Digue: Kitchen and shower could have complementary items (salt, pepper, hand soap for example) Brown water, so not really good for shower or teeth brushing Socket adapter provided after asking and it felt like we bothered them Stayed there for 4 days and the cleaning was never done. We agreed on cleaning on the third day after we were asked the day before but they’ve never cleaned Very noisy street especially in the evening when local guys put music across the street Last, obviously it’s the local nature but nothing is done to keep the lizards/geckos away (big windows and doors gaps)

Great location, directly opposite the beach with everything you need (bus stop, supermarket, restaurant, takeaway) in walking distance. Very friendly and helpful host and a room that is clean and has everything you need.

Unfortunately, we had to take two points off as the mattress was very, very hard, the WiFi was down regularly and the street is a quite noisy (which might not be such a big problem if you are a sound sleeper or very early riser)

This was one of my best, if not the best, stays in my life and its due to the hospitality and human factor of the owner. We felt cared about, we felt like at home, safe and welcomed. With additional fee you can have breakfast and it was delicious and nutricious. The owner gave us a lot of on point tips and recommendations on how to organize our stay. The chalet is located in the strategic position, in front of the Anse Volbert beach which makes it so perfect for an evening swim after a day of touring around the island, next to the bus stop and 5mins walk from the center or the villige where you can buy fresh fruit, get a take away or do grocery shopping. Just next to the chalet there is a delicious restaurant La Goulue, it’s literally behind the fence and it offers great local cuisine. Cleanliness was top notch. The chalet had everything you would need and the interior decor is really estetically pleasing, kept in a beautiful island vibe. The experience was like a real island life and not just being closed in a resort hotel, which we appreciate so much. Our time at Chez Lester was absolutely wonderful and if we are ever back in Praslin, we will for sure book again here and recommend it to all our friends wanting to visit Praslin. We are very grateful to the owner who made our stay so so fantastic.

A washing machine would be great

Janine was a realoy nice and supported host. She organized everything for us. The apartment is located directly in front of the beach. in this location you dont need a Car. you can take the bus. everything was really clean.

The first contact with the host before arrival was not the best - my request to arrange a transfer from the ferry pier to the facility was refused with the information that there are taxis at the marina. Okay, but at least a hint could be given on how much the taxi may cost - such information is important for the visitor, especially at the arrival.

The room was nice and spacious, god shower, nice kitchen, verry comfortable bed and many pillows. Breakfast on the terrace was served daily at a symbolic price spot on the time orderd, a little knock on the door with a goog morning from the host. Just perfect stay. Recommend this place for the stay in Praslin

Perfect place to stay on Praslin. It's a family run place, on the other side of the street there is long and beautiful Cote D'Or Beach, close to some shops, restaurants and "takeaways". Bus stop is just in front of the house, it will take you to main attractions on the island if you don't want to rent a car. There is also fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals. We also went on a boat trip to Curieuse island organized by hosts and because of weather not being so perfect it was basically only us going, staff was very friendly and helpfull, highly recomended!
