If you are looking for a place to chill and unwind from the noises of city. Ancelle Cristo Re is a best choice to stay. Sad to say that we were unable to stay a bit longer coz the place is so nice and comfy. The staffs are so nice and accommodating. Breakfast is good also by the way. Wish to comeback soon.

ncelle Cristo Re was a little piece of paradise for us, and we felt at home from the very first day. A big part of that was thanks to the wonderful sisters, who took such warm and genuine care of us throughout our stay. Sister Theresa in particular went above and beyond for us. She is incredibly kind and generous and helped organize everything we needed — from airport transfers to whale shark watching and a private fishing boat trip — always at very fair prices. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with something a little different every day. And having breakfast while looking out over the private beach is simply picture-perfect. Thank you so much for the wonderful time. We wish the sisters and Ancelle Cristo Re all the very best for the future and would be very happy to return one day.

The beach right next to the house isn't the most exciting place for snorkeling, but there are plenty of tours and great snorkeling spots nearby, and having your own private beach right at your doorstep is something very special.

Une maison singulière tenue par des bonnes sœurs; Tout est dans son jus des années 80 mais il y a un charme particulier. Devant la maison, un spot de snorkeling incroyable où vous aurez les tortues pour vous tout seul au lieu des hordes de touristes de Moalboal.

L emplacement, la gentillesse des sœurs, on est sur la plage, les bancs de sardines est à 5 m à pieds, le barrière de corail est magnifique. Une super adresse.

L'adresse secrète, le petit coin de paradis pour des voyageurs épicuriens. Petit déjeuner varié, l'énergique et sympathique Sœur Thérésa toujours souriante aux petits soins, plage privée avec snorkeling intéressant (coraux, poissons, étoiles de mer, tortues, etc.) et l'excursion banc de sardines (option requins renards) gratuite car à portée de palmes. La situation géographique légèrement excentrée du centre ville suffisamment pour ne pas être gênés par le bruit mais tout en restant à portée de pied. Et cerise sur le gâteau vous faites une bonne action car les fonds sont destinés à un orphelinat...

非常惊喜的一次入住！民宿小院子非常漂亮，每个角落都能看出主人的用心。店里有三只超可爱的狗狗，温顺亲人，是整趟旅行的加分项。工作人员特别友好，有问题总是热心帮我们解决，还帮忙预订了各种当地活动，非常省心。位置也很棒——闹中取静，既远离街边噪音，睡得很安稳，出门又很方便。如果你在犹豫选哪家，选这里一定不会错。下次再来，我还会住这儿！五颗星推荐！ What a delightful stay! The property has a beautiful, well-tended little courtyard – every detail shows the owners’ care. There’s also an adorable, friendly dog that made our trip even more special. The staff are incredibly warm and always ready to help with any questions, and they easily arranged all our local activities for us. The location is perfect – quiet and peaceful, away from street noise, yet still very convenient for getting around. If you’re looking for a place to stay, this is definitely the right choice. We’d absolutely come back again!

This was our first stay at Ancel Cristo Re, Moalboal, Cebu, and we spent 3 wonderful nights here. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. We had a whale shark tour that required us to leave at 3am, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared and packed our breakfast before we left. Such a small gesture, but it meant a lot to us. We also made a new friend during our stay… a cute little puppy named Ginger. 🐶 Ginger was friendly, well-behaved, and basically became our unofficial tour guide, following us around everywhere! The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were spotless, and the overall cleanliness of the place was top-notch. We came for the whale sharks but ended up missing Ginger too when we left. 😄 We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

Warum vergebe ich 5 Sterne? Weil ich keine 6 Sterne vergeben kann. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und strahlt eine besondere Ruhe aus. Alles war sauber, die Klimaanlage funktionierte zuverlässig und der Wasserdruck im Bad war gut. Das Frühstück war TOP: frisch, vielfältig und mit sichtbarer Sorgfalt zubereitet – auch für mich als Vegetarierin. Besonders in Erinnerung bleibt uns Schwester Theresa. Sie ist zurückhaltend, aber offen und unglaublich hilfsbereit. Sie hat für uns einiges organisiert, unter anderem eine Bootsfahrt nach Pescador Island, die direkt von von unserem Zuhause aus startete – wir wurden am Strand abgeholt. Ich hatte sie eingeladen, mitzukommen, und sie hätte sehr gerne teilgenommen – sie hat sogar erzählt, dass sie noch nie in ihrem Leben einen Ausflug gemacht hat. Leider hatte sie an den beiden Tagen keine Zeit. Wenn ihr dort seid: Ladet sie ein – sie freut sich wirklich darüber! Wir waren zu dritt, also organisierte Schwester Theresa drei Masseurinnen, die uns auf der Terrasse hinter einem Sichtschutz massierten - das war toll! Auf dem Gelände leben ein paar Hunde und Katzen, alle sehr zurückhaltend und freundlich. Ich hatte Leckerchen dabei (viel zu wenig) und habe später noch etwas Geld für Futter gespendet - Schwester Theresa ist sofort losgelaufen. Hätte ich gewusst, dass auch Spielzeug gebraucht wird, hätte ich ein zwei Tennisbälle mitgebracht. Trotz der tropischen Lage am Wasser gab es zwar Mücken, aber erstaunlich wenige – regelrecht attackiert wurden wir nicht. Ich empfehle die ‚Off‑Lotion‘ von Johnson & Johnson, die man vor Ort kaufen kann. Panagsama Beach: Zunächst schwamm eine riesengroße Schildkröte direkt an mir vorbei. Kurz darauf sah ich einen riesigen Sardinenschwarm – aber das war noch nicht der richtige. Später zeigten uns unsere Guides den echten - atemberaubend!

Der Aufenthalt war zu kurz – wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

Sister provided way more than we could eat each morning with a rotation on variety of meats and fruits which kept each day fresh with options. She was very accommodating to times we needed each day for breakfast. She was always there to answer questions and arrange transportation to make our stay very good. Location is close to town but far enough for quiet retreat.

Would like to have air conditioning in main area of home not just bedrooms. Could have a screen in front of sliding doors to welcome the cool ocean breeze as alternative measure to cool main part of home.

L’emplacement difficile d’accès ,restaurant à 10-15 minutes à pieds. La musique de l établissement d’à côté si forte qu’on ne s’entend pas parler dans la chambre. Les chiens qui aboient toute la nuit. Les photos ne sont pas à jour , l’établissement a besoin d’un bon coup de rafraîchissement et de rangement.

This accomodation is located in a tranquil part of Moalboal,an easywalk into town for drinks and dinner The large home was roomy,a little dark inside and the main loungeroom very hot so not a great place to gather but outside was beautiful with a charming water view .it was easy to swim the sardine run from here and Sr Theresa is the most beautiful host preparing an amazing breakfast each morning and organising our drivers to swim with the whale sharks and experience the most stunning waterfalls in Cebu You will love this property

Everything was just perfect! Sister Theresa and other sisters took good care of us. Breakfast was lovely! During our stay there were also some children from the Cebu orphanage which were having a good time there. We love to see that. The place is beautiful with a big garden surrounded with some friendly pets. The Main Street with restaurants/shops etc is only a 10 minute walk. Sister Theresa arranged all our requests for Sardines run, Shark Wale diving in Oslob, Canyoneering in Badian and transfer to and return to Cebu airport. She recommended us to go to white beach as well which we did not regret when we were there. A nice beach where we had some BBQ diner.

That we had to leave. We will be back next time! Thank you.

The location is peaceful and quiet away from the noise, plus the property is right at the beach so basically it’s like you get your own slice of paradise. Not too far from the cafes, restaurants and sardine run, just about 10-12min walk. The resort is run by the nuns, all are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay :)

The location was perfect! It was far from all the hustle and bustle of Panagsama beach but still close enough to walk there if you want to explore the area. The property was run by nuns and all proceeds go to an orphanage ♥️. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa. It was very clean and tidy with lots of room for all of us. The outdoor space offers a refreshing break from the heat of the sun and let you enjoy the fresh ocean breeze.

I didn't realise when I booked that this is run by nuns and profits go towards an orphanage in Cebu. Sister Theresa was so kind and accommodating. They also foster kittens and puppies so our kids had a blast. There's snorkelling from the beach with turtles, star fish and coral - so beautiful. A ten minute walk to restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms were also very spacious and clean. It's also great you can borrow reef shoes and life jackets.

Breakfast was quite random, though the fruit was amazing. As it's slightly out of the main town there are a lot of dogs barking. I can't really think of anything else that bothered me.

After staying seven nights in a three-bedroom villa, we highly recommend this accommodation. Sister Teresa took incredible care of us during our stay. Unser Häuschen war superschön eingerichtet und die Nonnen waren so lieb und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten und konnten uns noch etwas zum schnorcheln leihen. Der Strandzugang war auch super. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, aber für uns etwas zu viel ( da war man schon traurig was übrig zu lassen). Insgesamt war es ein sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt. Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man Meer und Ruhe haben möchte.

Wat een paradijs! De kamer, het ontbijt, het uitzicht, de rust, de zee… alles eigenlijk!

Eigenlijk niks. Om toch iets te zeggen … de hondjes van de accommodatie zelf gebruiken wel je zetel om op te liggen ‘‘s nachts (voor diegenen die allergisch zijn)

Es war wie ein kleines Paradies – eine echte Oase der Ruhe. Die herzliche Betreuung hat den Aufenthalt besonders gemacht. Das wunderschöne Haus mit tropischem Garten bietet allen Komfort. Ein Highlight waren die morgendlichen Schnorchelgänge vor dem Frühstück – sogar mit Schildkröten. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und alles bestens organisiert wie zum Beispiel der Transfer und Massagen, Auch die kleine, süße Hundewelpe Viola hat unseren Urlaub bereichert. Ein rundum unvergesslicher Aufenthalt – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

我原本订了两天的住宿，结果因为签证无法入境菲律宾，需要被遣送回国。浪费了很多订餐厅和其他酒店费用，很多潜水计划都泡汤了，很伤心之时，这个酒店还愿意全额退款给我。令我和我太太觉得心里还有一丝安慰。酒店人员原本还替我安排了司机在机场接送，我也无法如约，只能让司机独自回去。真的很谢谢你们。等我签证结解决了肯定会带家人朋友再去支持你们！

Die Unterkunft war für uns Ruhesuchende wunderbar, etwas abseits mit einem kleinen hauseigenen Strand fühlten wir uns rundherum wohl. Die Betreuung von Schwester Theresa war fantastisch, egal was für Wünsche wir hatten, (Motorrad, Wäscherei, Massage, frisch gemachtes Kokosöl, für uns lokales köstliches Abendessen zubereitet usw. ) sie hat es besorgt, selber gemacht oder in die Wege geleitet. Sie ist spürbar das Herz und die Seele dieser Unterkunft. Das frisch zubereitete Frühstück war jeden Tag anders und sehr lecker. Ein großes DANKE an die liebe Schwester Theresa und auch an die anderen Schwestern, welche im Hintergrund für unseren Komfort sorgten.

Bardzo nam się podobała przestrzeń ogrodowa w obiekcie oraz cisza. Pokoje wygodne, łazienka również bardzo fajna. Dużym plusem była ciepła woda oraz super ciśnienie wody w prysznicu.

Nous avons occupé la chambre numéro 9. La chasse des WC ne fonctionne pas bien. La pression de la douche est très faible. À part ce désagrément, le reste est parfait.

We loved everything about our stay at Ancelle Cristo - sister Theresa and the other sisters made us feel welcome and comfortable, providing kindness, advice, a clean and comfortable place to stay and a great breakfast to start the day. The profits from the stays go towards an orphanage in Cebu city and the sisters also look after abandoned animals too. It is quiet and peaceful away from the main strip (short 10 minute walk) sister Theresa kindly arranged transport for us to and from the airport and also offered to help us book excursions. We were able to borrow snorkeling gear and use the kayak on the beach. They also kindly did some laundry for us. You can sit and watch a beautiful sunset from your hammock. If I find myself in this part of the world again I will sure enough he staying with Sister Theresa again ❤️

这次酒店挖到宝了，本来是随便定的酒店，给了我全程最大的惊喜！！ 酒店原身是意大利人的海滨度假民宅，所以装修非常用心，地板柜子床具（很好睡）用料都非常好，一共只有3、4个房间，房间面积也很大，有一个漂亮庭院。很像住进欧洲老宅的感觉 房源位置就在海滩上，据说浮潜直接能看到海龟。总之，这个酒店真的next level了 现在房子被捐赠给了修女运营，收入都用来资助cebu的孤儿了。可能是因为有宗教信仰的原因吧，修女们都非常和善caring，能感受到整个property维护得非常非常好，干净整洁，猫猫狗狗都养得很肥很乖 走之前donate了1000比索，住得实在太好了，下次一定会回来住的。Thanks Teresa!

Located about a 10 minute walk from the main restaurant district along the beach of Moalboal, it’s a little slice of heaven with great accommodations located right off the beach. The adjoining reef offered better snorkeling than our day trip to Pescadore Island. The real treasure at Ancille Cristo Re are the sisters who run it. Sister Teresa was a Godsend to us going out to get us pizza when we were too tired to get out ourselves and literally traveling a few miles when we accidentally lost our credit card while shopping in town!

The only minor issue we had with our stay was a feral dog nearby the property that barked incessantly.

Best hotel in Moalboal by far. Excellent room, so comfortable and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast each morning served to your terrace. Sister Teresa and the nuns are so welcoming and gracious. Organised scooter hire and the best canyoneering tour. Even sang happy birthday to me and got me delicious cake. Right on the beach with easy walk to town where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay just wish it could have been longer. Highly recommend this amazing place.

Everything perfect

Sister was terrific, took care of every request (and there were many such as transfers and tours) and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent, and as others mention it's just a 10min walk into town. Or, you can pay for a tricycle but they wanted 200+ Peso for a 3min drive so we walked all but once.. The house was great, plenty of space, and the kids enjoyed Stella (resident dog) and the cats around. Snorkelling right off the door step (you'll need to swim out about 100m to get to the reef but plenty to see - see photos). We had a great time, thanks again.

The path up to the residence could use some work but that's not the accomodations fault, just very bumpy and you'll need a torch walking at night.

The location was right at the beach, you could snorchel with turtles right in front. The whole area was so calm, beautiful garden, the sisters were so helpful arranging transport. The breakfast was different and tasty every day. Walking distance to the city.

This was one of our most exciting and unforgettable experiences as a Family with two kids and another one on its way! The location is perfect - right next to the sea with a sea view from the private patio, 10 minutes walking to Panagsama Beach, 3 minutes walking to one of the best restaurants around (Blue Trinity). Absolutely safety zone with a controlled access! The house was equipped with everything we needed, including hairdryers. Plates, cuttlery, iron, life jackets, fins, masks and snorkels upon request. Drinking water, tea and coffee are provided free of charge right in front of each house. Continental breakfast with local fresh fruits and jams was served on a private table also in front of each house. The beds were comfortable. There are AC-s and ceiling fans in each room. Sister Teresa is so kind and helpful and she speaks English fluently. She arranged for us the airport transfers with a taxi, excursions (Oslob whale sharks watching, Island hopping, Kawasan falls). There are a lot of things to do in Cebu island and one week is not enough, but we did the main water activities - whale shark watching in Oslob, swimming with turtles and sardines in Panagsama beach, exploring the house reef and Pescador Island. Unfortunately, most of the corals are dead, but there is is still a lot to see - sea stars and urchins, turtles, eels, different kinds of fishes (anemona fish, parrot fish, puffer and boxer fish, trigger fish, etc.). We highly recommend Ancelle Cristo Re and we believe this is the best place to stay in the area!

Such a beautiful setting by the sea. Quality built rooms with wooden carved doors, super comfortable beds, and all spotlessly clean. Loved that there were so many places to put your things, table, bookcase, study desk, hat stand. Felt like home! Sister Teresa was a perfect host, providing beautiful breakfasts and great tips for organising tours and transport. The outside daybed on our verandah and egg chair were favourites for reading and taking in the sea views. Ancelle De Cristo Re is a little slice of paradise.

Хозяйки дома - главная ценность! Нас приняли как дома, разрешили дождаться заселения на территории, накормили завтраком. А встречать Новый год на берегу моря - мечта, которая стала реальностью! Дом имеет три спальни с двухспальными кроватями, две ванные комнаты, общую комнату с большим диваном и кухней. Жилье чистое, постельное белье хорошего качества, свежее. Завтрак накрывается на веранде дома с видом на океан. Мы хотели сделать массаж и хозяйки пригласили девушек в дом, чтобы нам было комфортно.

Непонятно почему на кухне не было посуды? Приходилось постоянно просить ее. Но она предоставлялась по требованию.
