Amazing unique wee cottage, amazing hosts, nothing was a problem. Daily fresh bread and homemade jams made breakfast fantastic. Access to spa and saunas was an extra highlight, really neat atmosphere ❤️

Tout était parfait. Accueil très chaleureux de la part des hôtes, la chambre est propre et bien confortable. L’accès au spa et à ses piscines chaudes très appréciables et le petit déjeuner au top avec le pain maison. Vraiment une adresse à recommander pour un séjour à Golden Bay et explorer les environs. De plus l’environnement est super calme.

Serge and Marie were wonderful hosts and have such a beautiful property with everything you could possibly need. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Sehr persönlich, ein herrlicher Dank an die Eigentümer für alle guten Tipps und netten Gespräche, gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, leckeres Frühstück mit frischen Eiern, frischem Obst, selbst gebackenem Brot und selbst gekochter Marmelade:-)

Der perfekte Aufenthalt! Sehr nette Gastgeber und eine angenehme persönliche Atmosphäre, zudem sehr guter Preis.. Das Zimmer sehr sauber und gemütlich. Frühstück mit selbstgebackenem Brot und selbstgemachter Marmelade einfach toll. Zusätzlich noch Sauna, Schwimmbad und Hottub inklusive und dies ab 20 Uhr nur für Gäste des B&B. Die Gadtgeber haben uns auch super Tipps für unsere Tagesunternehmungen gegeben. Wir wären gern länger geblieben.

We loved being able to use the outdoor hot tubs and sauna. The hosts were lovely and interacted enough yet we still had plenty of privacy. The price was very cheap.

Lovely house with equally beautiful gardens, in a quiet space down a long driveway off the main road leading into Takaka. Very friendly and generous hosts who accommodated my early departure by getting up to prepare me a superb breakfast. Thank you.

The hospitality was amazing! The hosts and cats likewise ;) Also, the breakfast was delicious (with homemade bread and kiwi jam!) The cats were very sweet and cuddely, I missed both my cats so that was nice!

It wasn't really a bad thing but in the morning the cat was scratching the doorpost. It sounded like someone tried to open the door, so I was a bit frightened at first. But when I opened the door, there was a really sweet purring cat who wanted to join us hahaha. But a heads up wouldve been nice

The entire experience was amazing! The room was decorated so lovely and had a garden view. The sauna, spa, and pool were wonderful to use the evening before heading out on the Heaphy track. The breakfast was delightful and filling. Homemade bread and jams were a great start to my morning. Hosts Serge and Marie were so welcoming, friendly and there two cats Charlotte and Louise were very friendly and loving.

Heerlijke locatie om tot rust te komen. Leuk huisje in de tuin tussen de bloemen. Warm ontvangst van de eigenaren en bij vragen/verzoeken konden we altijd bij hen terecht. Echte passie voor hun B&B. Fijne sauna en hottub om van de sterren te kunnen genieten en een fantastisch ontbijt met verse producten. Aanrader om een paar dagen te verblijven.

We had a great stay here, hosts are very welcoming and provide an excellent breakfast. The cottage is rustic, quaint, and private. The spa is just a delight and the whole situation and gardens are quintessential Takaka.

Cottage is cosy rather than roomy but this was minor. Needs a little bit more cleaning in the room around the bed but again, minor.

Nice bathroom and comfortable bed.

The sauna and the beautiful gardens were a highlight.

The outdoor kitchen was a little confusing to use... It wasn't clear where we dry our dishes.

Marie und Serge sind zugewandte Gastgeber, bei denen man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Serge hat uns supertolle, individuelle Tipps für verschiedene Tagesausflüge gegeben. Einer war besser als der andere. Nochmals ein herzliches Dankeschön dafür! Wunderbares Frühstück.

Serge and Marie were the most welcoming hosts and the entire stay was incredible. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything needed. The breakfast options were fantastic and finally the spa facilities were exceptional, our only regret is not staying longer!

Lovely rooms with such great attention to detail, everything is so cozy that you'll feel right at home. The spa is fantastic, the garden is a marvel and the breakfast is really great. Serge & Marie are just lovely people to be around, they gave me excellent recommendations for sightseeing around the area and made me feel incredibly welcome in their beautiful home.

What a wonderful place to stay. Sadly we only had an overnight but we would happily have stayed longer. Great friendly welcome from Serge and Marie (and their two sweet cats). We were so comfortable in the wee cottage in the garden, had a relaxing time in the hot tub & sauna, then enjoyed a drink in the outside seating area. Breakfast was fab, plentiful, loads of choice and fresh home baked bread! Definitely recommend - thank you Serge and Marie.

Lovely spa facilities free for guests. Beautiful timber cottage room with private garden and lovely views over the meadows. Excellent breakfast. Warm, personal service from the owners.

The spa, sauna and pool were excellent, a very peaceful way to end the day. Breakfast was great - and they had gluten free bread with a separate toaster.

Fabulous B&B. Hosts Serge and Marie were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The daily breakfast was fabulous. Our cottage room was small but cozy, comfortable, and private. The gardens and patio are lovely. The shared kitchen area with refrigerator very convenient. The area is amazing with so much to see and explore. If you enjoy sauna and hot tub relaxation that’s an added bonus. Highly recommend this B&B!

We enjoyed everything here!

Serge and Marie are wonderful hosts. They have a beautiful property full of flowers and trees. They are very friendly and provided a great breakfast. The use of the sauna and hot tubs was a bonus and our little cottage in the garden was perfect. We will certainly stay there again when we visit the Bay.

Location, lovely room with brand new ensuite, fabulous sauna, outdoor kitchen for self-catering, generous breakfast, great hosts.

We loved it! The house is decorated with lots if love and great taste, the breakfast was perfect, the spa just what we needed and the people were very kind . We hope to be able to stay here again one day :)

Everything! We didn't expect this place to be so incredible. The hosts are super nice and welcoming, they have a beautiful garden which we enjoyed in the morning. The european breakfast with homemade jams was delicious, and the night spa was surprising. We slept in a cabin room, which was small but we expected it from the images. It was clean and cosy. We highly reccommand it!

Well, the weather wasn't great the night we arrived, but that improved 1000% and showed clearly what a great place we'd chosen.

Absolutely fantastic base to explore the Golden Bay region. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed and then some. The spa was amazing and wonderful to have to ourselves in the evenings. We felt incredibly welcomed by Marie and Serge, and they made every effort to make us feel at home and accommodate all of our needs. Charlotte and Luis, the cats, were also lovely!

Absolutely loved my stay with Marie and Serge. They were very warm and welcoming and were super helpful with any questions I had. The spa facilities were an amazing extra touch to this b&b. So dreamy to relax under a starry night sky in the hot tub after a long day and sweat everything off in the sauna. Very elaborate and delicious breakfast options. Would 100% recommend this lovely place in a beautiful location!!

Everything was just so sweet in this Bed and Breakfast! The owners are super nice and welcoming and it’s clean and just so comfy and just a great atmosphere. We had the spa almost to ourselves and loved it! It’s just gorgeous and was perfect for us after hiking quite a lot!

The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the kitchen, which isn’t that great equipped and the frying pans are quite old or just not that good. But everything else totally made up for that!

Serge and Marie have the wonderful gift of making you welcome without being intrusive. Their two cats, Louise and Charlotte, have the same gift! Their home has a palpable warmth and peace to it, as did our cabin, and the spa area allows you to breathe and rest without feeling overwhelmed by technology and busy-ness. It is beautiful. This was European hospitality at its finest - cosy, easy and relaxed; delicious food, a fine garden and a home from home. Time slowed and we smiled.

Honestly, nothing was missed. We loved every part of our stay here and cannot wait to visit Tākaka and this very special space again.

Mechanism of some stuff in the room is a little out-dated, i couldn't really lock the room with my key, or shut the curtains on the windows.
