Travellers Retreat B&B

Such a lovely place to stay. Fiona's hospitality was outstanding and only wish I had found this place years ago.

.

Easy to locate the property, and ample parking. Very friendly hosts. Spacious well-equipped room, with tea/coffee making facilities. Comfortable bed. Quiet location. Excellent breakfast.

Nothing not to like.

Host was very accommodating

not having breakfast because we leave early morning. Fiona picked us up in the airport on time. She is very friendly.

It was all very easy. Fiona the host was lovely. It was value for money.

Good area, nice accomodation, everything we required, nice place to stay.

Convenient with all amenities a great relaxing stay

Nothing

Comfortable & friendly

Fiona and Marcus are very gentle and kind, best host ever. The room very comfortable, with every facilities

Propreté et le calme

The owner was friendly and helpful. I was stuck in Christchurch for a couple of days due to flight cancellations resulting from Trump's war. It was a relief to have a comfortable and friendly place to stay during that time.

All i can say is everything was perfect

Wish we could have stayed there on the way back. But can see why there always booked out

Fiona is a great host. Bedroom was comfortable and very clean. Good location next to airport. Had the private room with shower and bathroom was spotless. Stayed there 3 different times in our 3 weeks in New Zealand.

Nothing. I would stay here again easily

Beautiful place to stay and land lady was very helpful and kind Beautiful room and very clean and comfy bed too, lovely garden area with small pool

Nothing

Very friendly host and bonus swim in the pool! Great outside decking space adjacent to room.

Comfortable room with good facilities. Host offered free drop off at the airport. Good location for the airport.

Quite a long walk (30 minutes) to nearest place to eat

Fiona was a very caring and helpful host, the breakfast was great and the room and bed very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Nothing

Very friendly host who gave us a lovely breakfast.

Great location, Fiona the host was extremely generous with her time and efforts, offering daytime airport transfers. The room was exceptionally clean. Shower was hot with good pressure. What really stood out to me was all the thoughtful gestures that would make any traveller comfortable. Such as a nespresso machine, fresh cold milk in the fridge, hair dryer in the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable I melted into a coma. Definitely recommend!

Nothing. Had a great stay, would have happily of continued.

Room was very clean and beds comfortable. We stayed in a room with an attached bathroom which was nice with plenty of hot water. Had a refrigerator and TV which we did not use. Wonderful place to stay. Good continental breakfast. Nice and close to the airport. About 5 minutes away. Fiona is a wonderful host. Would stay here again if we go back to New Zealand!

Nothing. It was a perfect place to stay

Alles perfekt.

Everything .

Too short a stay .

Excellent location, comfy bed, and super clean. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

Gastvrouw was heel vriendelijk ondanks hun familiale droevige gebeurtenis.

Niets

Wonderful stay. Great room and shower facilities. Lovely welcoming hosts, with a good breakfast offered.

Convenient for airport,free shuttle,welcoming host,breakfast

Poor soundproofing

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was comfy. Convenient location.

The bathroom is very small. The basin in particular is very small, making brushing teeth awkward. Definitely would not fit two people brushing teeth at the same time. Filling the jug is also awkward in the small basin.

Quiet.

Nothing

Perfectly located 10min from the Airport, we were able to check in on our own around 1am. Great communication with our host

Wonderful host, very accommodating and friendly. Comfortable and pleasant place to stay

Travellers Retreat was very homely. Lovely facilities available to us during our stay which made us feel at home. Highly recommend and would stay here next time we visit Christchurch.

A very friendly host. I enjoyed the conversation over the breakfast.

Really friendly people, good location to airport

Nothing, was great!

Lovely home and gardens. Very friendly host who shared her home making you feel very welcome.

Nil of note

Very homely environment. Great shower.

Loved Fiona’s warm & friendly nature & the bed Great shower pressure

Step up into bathroom. Bathroom only a one person at a time

Comfy room, great breakfast, and terrific hosts. We really appreciated the ride to the airport.

It was easy to find and close to the airport. Our host, Fiona welcomed us and made us feel at home after our long flight. Breakfast was great, too.

Everything perfect!

We were very happy with this B&B. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The facilities were comfortable. We were welcome to use the patio table to relax at. We slept beautifully in very comfortable beds. A nice breakfast was offered. The morning that we left we had an early flight. Regardless, the host was there to say goodbye and to ensure we had some breakfast before departing.

Wifi touchy

Bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Equipped with everything we needed and hosts were very accommodating and lovely. We arrived after hours but self check in was no issue.

Lovely friendly and welcoming value for money . Convenient distance from the airport ect. I am definitely staying there again.

They kindly picked us up and dropped us off Very welcoming

Excellent stay. Fiona is a very nice hostess. Thank you for everything.

Really nice B&B, inside and gardens. Owners were very friendly and accommodating.

I only spent the night there so didn't get to enjoy it as a nice B&B should be enjoyed .. had a busy schedule.

Very convenient to the airport Very helpful host Lovely breakfast Local eating places recommendations

Friendly helpful hosts, great shuttle-service. Good location and additional parking

Room was 2single beds, totally adequate but abit smaller than expecting for 2 girls with a bit of luggage!

Welcoming and friendly. Comfortable.

Note that it was the downstairs spare bedroom of a large house, entered through their living and dining room where breakfast was served.

The Holst was very accommodating and hospitable. She was more than just a host: personable and friendly, as well as helpful and created a relaxed atmosphere. The shared space and outdoor area were beautiful. Our bedroom had a sliding glass door that opened into the backyard with nicely done landscaping and flowers. Truly a retreat! Highly recommend a stay at Travelers retreat B and B!

Everything was great

Nothing

Fiona & Marcus have a way of making one feel at home, including gathering strawberries, tomatoes & cucumbers from the garden for the evening meal. Dinner completed the eve as a relaxed event, sharing home & travel stories with 2 other self-drive visitors. Would love to make this a hub for several days exploration.
