Tides Dhigurah

Fue una estancia excelente. El jefe y el personal estubieron atentos en todo lo que necesitabamos a cualquier hora. La habitacion la limpiaron siempre que lo necesitamos y el desayuno muy completo. Te vienen a recoger de la speedboat y te llevan al puerto a la hora de realizar las actividades. Las actividades las reservas de un dia para otro en el hotel no hay que preocuparse.

Man kommt an und fühlt sich wie im Paradies :-) Wir wurden mit einer Kokosnuss begrüßt und einem erfrischenden Tuch. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für uns wurde die Speedbootfahrt organisiert und wir wurden mit unserem Gepäck vom Hafen abgeholt. Es gab abwechselndes Frühstück zwischen Toast und Thunfisch. Hier fühlt man sich rundum wohl und kann das Inselleben sehr genießen.

Beautiful property with lovely staff. The cooked breakfast in the morning was great and the room was kept clean. Would recommend to anyone!

Otevřená sprcha, lokalita místa, výlety, personál. Oceňuji pravidelné výměny ručníků jak do sprchy tak na pláž. Komunikace s panem majitelem jednoduchá a skvělá. Po příjezdu nám personál na mapě ukázal kde co je, takže orientace byla jednoduchá. Také oceňuji, že ubytování bylo možné platit předem kartou. Zapůjčení šnorchlovacího vybavení v místě je také plus.

Snídaně, ale to je problém asi všude. Dostanete marmeládu a nutellu z dovozu, přitom se v krámku opodál dá koupit místní med i marmeláda. Kafe z pytlíku strašné, ale po zkušenostech si vozíme vlastní.

Como aspectos positivos, hay que destacar que el chico de recepción fue siempre muy amable, atento y dispuesto a ayudar. No tenemos nada negativo que decir sobre él, ya que simplemente seguía las indicaciones del manager. Además, la limpieza de la habitación fue buena durante toda la estancia y proporcionan toallas limpias para la playa siempre que las necesitas. El desayuno está bien, aunque ofrece muy poca variedad. Básicamente alternan entre un desayuno mediterráneo y uno maldivo, por lo que después de varios días termina resultando bastante repetitivo.

No suelo escribir reseñas negativas, pero creo que cualquier persona que esté pensando en alojarse en este hotel debería conocer varios aspectos antes de reservar. Lo primero que nos llamó la atención fue que tuvimos la sensación de estar pagando bastante más por algunos servicios que en otros hoteles de la isla. Por ejemplo, nos cobraron 60 $ por persona y trayecto por el speedboat, mientras que hablando con otros viajeros alojados en diferentes hoteles nos comentaron que ellos habían pagado entre 45 y 50 $ por el mismo servicio. Otro punto importante son las excursiones. El hotel tiene una carta plastificada con todas las actividades disponibles, pero los precios que aparecen están desactualizados y, además, los nuevos precios que te dicen no son negociables. Cuando preguntamos si era posible hacer algún descuento, el manager nos respondió que el precio que nos estaba ofreciendo ya era un precio rebajado. Por ejemplo, la excursión para ver el tiburón ballena nos costó 100 $ por persona, y nos dijo que el precio habitual era de 120-130 $ y que ya nos estaban aplicando un descuento. Encima no vimos al tiburón ballena ya que no te aseguran verlo. También preguntamos por la excursión conjunta de tiburón ballena y mantas, cuyo precio era de 150 $ por persona. La explicación que nos dieron fue que el precio había subido por el aumento del coste del petróleo. Sin embargo, hablando con otros chicos alojados en otro hotel, nos comentaron que en sus hoteles esa misma excursión costaba alrededor de 90 $ por persona, una diferencia que nos pareció excesiva. Algo que nos habría gustado saber antes de viajar es que en Dhigurah, las excursiones deben contratarse únicamente a través del hotel donde te alojas. Preguntamos en otros hoteles y también intentamos buscar empresas de excursiones, pero en todos los casos nos dijeron que sólo podíamos hacer excursiones a través de nuestro hotel.

Die Lage spielt kaum eine Rolle, alles auf Dhigurah ist Fußläufig zu erreichen! Der Bikini Beach, der aus mehreren Abschnitten besteht, ist zu Fuß in ca.10 Minuten zu erreichen. Für die superschöne Sandbank am Ende der Insel muß man ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß gehen. Restaurants (ich empfehle hier besonders das Lonu Mirus Dine) sind alle in wenigen Minuten Fußläufig zu erreichen, ebenso ein paar Souvenirshops. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Sauberkeit & Ausstattung der Unterkunft- und die Hilfe bei Buchungen. Trotz der negativen Aspekte würde ich die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen!

Auch wenn die Unterkunft hier vermutlich nichts für kann, möchte ich es trotzdem erwähnen- wir hatten für die Reise hierher extra Dollars besorgt, welche uns am Flughafen vom "Empfangspersonal" (Diejenigen, die mit einem Schild mit unserem Namen darauf- und dem Namen der Unterkunft auf uns warteten) abgeluchst! Man sagte uns, das Dollars schlecht wären und wir besser in Rufia tauschen sollten, das taten wir dann auch, aber wie sich herausstellte zu einem viel zu schlechten Kurs. (1:15,5) Wir haben dadurch zwar keine realen Verluste erlitten, die "Grauzonenbetrüger" aber ein satten Gewinn gemacht. Des weiteren akzeptieren die meisten Unterkünfte nur Dollars, so daß wir dann mit Karte zahlen mussten und das kostete nochmals 4% "Strafsteuer". Hier mein Tipp: Achtet auf den Schwarzmarktkurs (der war zu unserer Zeit ca. 1:21) und tauscht nur soviel um, wie ihr zum Essengehen und für Souvenirs und Kleinkrams braucht, das Geld für Unternehmungen und Unterkunft haltet in Dollars in Bar zurück! Die Unterkunft hat das Problem mit den unseriösen Geldtauschern jetzt auch mit in ihre Seite Aufgenommen. Der Gastgeber war freundlich, aber irgendwie stimmte die Chemie wohl zwischen uns nicht, wir haben uns nur bedingt wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war leider nur unteres Mittelmaß, kaum gesunde Sachen und der Kaffee war aus löslichem Kaffeepulver gemacht, das braucht niemand am Morgen! Ich empfehle nicht, hier Frühstück zu buchen, da Frühstück hier überall günstig angeboten wird. Achja - es ertönte manchmal Abends und früh morgens ein Muezzinruf über Lautsprecher, welche ganz in der Nähe sind. Wir empfanden das tatsächlich nur in der ersten Nacht als störend, danach haben wir uns dran gewöhnt. Hier kann die Unterkunft natürlich überhaupt nichts für und es betrifft bestimmt fast die hälfte der Hotels hier. Man muß schon Nahe der Sandbank buchen, um dem zu entgehen.

-Peaceful accomodation that is on lush and beautiful grounds full of plants. Quiet and relaxed. -Rooms are immaculate. Only 4 on site so always minimal noise -Excellent air con facilities -Brekfast is very satisfying with alternating tropical fruit juices daily, accompanied with tea or coffee. -Staff are outstanding- make you feel right at home and cannot do enough. Always very polite, helpful and on hand. -Excursions via Tides are excellent.

This was one of the best guesthouse experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. I was greeted with a beautiful surprise: a cake and a beautifully decorated bed, which immediately made me feel special. The owner is an incredibly kind, caring, and attentive person. He was always happy to help, answered every question, and truly cared that I had the best possible experience on the island. Thanks to his recommendations and support, my trip became even more memorable. You can really feel that the guests here are treated not just as customers, but as friends. This warm and sincere hospitality is something I will always remember.

Завтак менялся, один день - мальдивский, другой -английский, но всегда очень вкусный. В отеле все продумано для удобства гостей, очень чисто, можно заказать различные экскурсии. Рядом с отелем находиться улица с магазинами. До бикини бич идти около 10 минут, ужинать ходили в кафе формата "ноги в песке" - очень понравилось. Хорощий снорк, красивая длинная коса, длинный пляж - очень красиво.

Fantastisk ophold med meget hjælpsomt personale, der arrangerede flere ture for os ud at se hvalhaj og Manta rays. De arrangerede speedbåd transfer, hentede os ved båden, og hjalp os med at komme videre til næste ø.

Den lokale morgenmad var ikke lige os, men det lader til at være ca. det samme alle steder.

Location near many restaurants and cafes but still quiet. Bed was very comfortable! Aircon good, service good and breakfast tasty, every other morning continental and Maldivian. Staff was nice. Very clean!

Quite a long walk to bikini beach

This is such a peaceful place with a lovely garden surrounding the 4 rooms making each room private. The two young boys looking after us were just lovely. Very respectful and helped us organise a scooter and a tour with ease. Breakfast was simply delicious with one day being maldivian and tge other english. Huge room with lots of space. Taps outside to wash our feet after a day on the beach was great to have. Communication beforehand was excellent and made getting to the island easy

Sehr netter Service. Es gibt zwei verschiedene Frühstücke. Einmal englisch & einmal local. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß. Die Dusche ist abgetrennt was uns sehr gut gefallen hat,dadurch steht nicht das ganze Bad unter Wasser. Man bekommt Handtücher für den Strand & zum Duschen..tägliche Zimmer Reinigung. Sehr familiär es gibt nur 4 Zimmer.

The staff and the small size, 4 rooms

La struttura è semplice ma ben tenuta e pulita. Lo staff è molto gentile ci hanno assistito in tutto, dal trasporto all’arrivo a quando ce ne siamo andati con la massima disponibilità e ci hanno organizzato delle escursioni stupende. Ogni mattina la colazione veniva servita nel giradinetto interno al fresco (sempre in tempo per le esigenze di orari per le escursioni e partenza), ogni giorno un succo fresco diverso e un piatto super appetitoso, dandoci anche cose extra in base alle richeste. Veramente ci hanno coccolati per tutta la vacanza. La bikini beach è abbastanza vicina, anche se per la parte piu bella devi camminare una mezz’oretta.. ma ne vale decisamente la pena.

Unica pecca se cosi possiamo dire, sono le bici a noleggio che penso dovrebbero farle rientrare nel costo della camera e magari migliorarne le condizioni (sono un pò vecchie e malconce).. ma noi abbiamo sempre girato a piedi ed è fattibilissimo. Suggerirei anche di cambiare i soffioni della doccia che sono un pò datati.

Very nice place to stay for a few days

Exceptional local hotel. Owner and staff go above and beyond on every occasion. Communication is excellent. Excellent hospitality. Room is exceptionally clean and is cleaned every day. Garden area outside rooms is very well kept and pretty. Location is very safe and quiet, within easy walking distance of everything on the island. Comfortable bed, excellent air con and black out curtains. Delicious, freshly prepared breakfast every day. Owner and staff are always helpful and polite and ensure your every request is met. Ourselves and other guests agree this is a little gem which is easily the best little place to stay on the island. They deserve to be fully booked at all times and we wish them well for the future. We would definitely return and recommend to any travellers.

Esto no es un comentario negativo solo información que nos hubiese gustado tener y os contamos al resto de viajeros. Para pagar las tasas del hotel y los barcos hasta Digurah (que se pagan siempre cuando llegas al hotel) es mejor que llevéis dólares porque allí nos dijeron que las rupias valían más que en el resto de Maldivas y salía mejor pagar con dólares (al no tener dólares tuvimos que pagar con tarjeta y perdimos bastante dinero con las tasas)

Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was clean, and the guys were very helpful.

There were two of us and a 5 year old child. It was very comfortable for us and it was great that there was an extra bed for the child. The location is perfect. Very clean, the bathroom is also there and there is hot water! The breakfast was very delicious. The host was helpful and friendly in everything. So it was very good for us, I can only recommend it to everyone!! Have a nice trip to everyone.

Il posto e molto simpatico, praticamente è una piccola oasi. Siamo stati bene! Letto molto comodo, stanza confortevole, a 100mt dal mare!

Kleine, gemütliche Pension mit sehr nettem Personal. Die Zimmer sind sauber, gemütlich und das Frühstück ist lecker. Abholung vom Hafen, Organisation von Ausflügen und Kommunikation hat einwandfrei funktioniert.

The staff were great. It is very peaceful. My husband and I had a great time staying there. Room is very spacious also and I love the 2 showers, one with roof and other with none. We left at 645am today and I was touched that the staff there prepared us a take away breakfast. Simply amazing....

Our vacation was wonderful and we enjoyed it very much. The accommodation was excellent – the rooms were clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for. Every morning we enjoyed delicious breakfasts that were always fresh. We would like to especially appreciate the helpfulness of the staff. They were extremely kind, supportive, and willing to help with anything. They even assisted us with organizing our trip and excursions on the island, which made our holiday even more enjoyable. We definitely recommend this place and would be happy to return in the future.

Nice little guest house. Very relaxed atmosphere. The hosts made us a packed lunch for our checkout day. While host was responsive he didnt seem too enthusiastic/helpful. The tour details were somewhat cryptic (this might just be the island life, all very last minute). Breakfast was good and made fresh

Might be more about my expectations on the island. There was quite a lot of rubbish throughout the island and the bikini beach felt crowded - hard to find a spot with shade. The tour felt more like a whale shark ‘hunt’ then an encounter with 10+ boats looking for 1-2 sharks with the aid of drones. Snorkelling gear $5US per day / per person and poor quality/limited sizes.

Las instalaciones están en perfecto estado. El personal muy amable. Hotel pequeño con todos los servicios necesarios. Buen desayuno. Aire acondicionado, nevera y secador.

Residenza familiare costituita da 4 camere che affacciano su un giardino dell’eden. Camera pulitissima, cambio asciugamani e pulizia quotidiana, dotata di tutti gli accessori (inclusi gli adattatori per le prese elettriche). Ogni giorno una bottiglia da 1,5l di acqua messa disposizione per ciascuna camera. Colazione in giardino con piatti semplici ma buoni, si è alternata colazione maldiviana con Mashuni-omelette-Roshi con una più continentale Wustel-omelette-pane tostato sempre accompagnate da tè o caffè, succo/spremuta e frutta fresca. La cosa sorprendente è la gentilezza e l’educazione del personale, in primis il proprietario che ti prende a cuore come fosse uno zio. Possibilità di affittare bici o scooter a prezzi più vantaggiosi rispetto al mercato dell’isola, pinne e/o maschera. Le escursioni sono meravigliose, nonostante il costo discretamente alto (fisso su tutta l’isola) ne valgono assolutamente la pena. Il servizio comprende anche il passaggio di andata e ritorno al porto con l’apecar della struttura (a piedi ci vorrebbero comunque 5 minuti). Super consigliato e spero davvero di tornare presto!

L’unica piccola miglioria potrebbe essere quella di consentire la scelta a colazione invece del “menù fisso” però la qualità è la quantità del cibo non possono essere messe a discussione, riuscivamo a saltare il pranzo!

Nuestra estancia de 4 días fue maravillosa. El desayuno estaba delicioso y todo el hotel impecable. El personal fue increíblemente amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos, incluso con la organización de todas las excursiones. Las camas eran muy cómodas y la habitación, amplia y acogedora, nos hizo sentir como en casa.

Wir habe mich in diesem Hotel sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders die Lage hat mir ausgesprochen gut gefallen – zentral und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Der Innenhof ist wunderschön bepflanzt und lädt zum Verweilen ein, was dem Aufenthalt eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre verleiht. Auch das Servicepersonal war jederzeit zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit, sodass man sich rundum gut betreut fühlte. Wie können dieses Hotel daher nur weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder.

Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Für Veganer gab es beim Frühstück leider keine richtige Auswahl. Es blieb im Wesentlichen bei Toastbrot mit Obst – das war zwar lecker, aber etwas mehr Vielfalt wäre wünschenswert. Insgesamt war es dennoch ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hemos pasado 4 días en este hotel y solo podemos decir que hemos estado muy a gusto. Era nuestra segunda vez en Maldivas, y esta isla nos encantó especialmente porque el propio hotel organizaba excursiones, entre ellas la del tiburón ballena, ¡que tuvimos la suerte de ver! Desde el primer momento, el personal nos trató de maravilla. Nos recogieron en el puerto y también nos acompañaron al marcharnos, lo cual fue un detalle que agradecimos mucho. Queremos destacar especialmente a Lahiru y Masum, que fueron súper atentos, educados y amables. Nos ayudaron a organizar los días, estuvieron siempre disponibles para lo que necesitáramos, y además nos recibieron con un delicioso zumo de bienvenida. El desayuno era muy rico y abundante, perfecto para empezar el día con energía. En definitiva, nos llevamos una experiencia increíble de nuestros días allí y recomendamos este alojamiento al 100%. Very clean, spacious and super comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. The owner Abdul, helped us organising our transfers, boat trips and bike hires besides being super friendly. Staff was also super helpful. The Maldivian breakfast and cold fresh coconut on our arrival were a plus!

Eine wunderschöne kleine Unterkunft die ganz hervorragend liegt. Das Personal und der Besitzer sind super. Betten werden jeden Tag frisch gemacht und alles ist super sauber.

Wenn man länger als drei Nächte bleibt ist das Frühstück wirklich nicht toll, denn es wiederholt sich jeden zweiten Tag.

Awesome price/service ratio. Great staff, perfect location. The room is nice, everything is as on the pictures. Breakfast is great, especially the local one. The staff can also help with excursions. Bikini beach is 10 minutes walking, town centre is literally next corner yet still a calm and quiet place. AC works perfectly.

Very nice and small B&B. Excellent host with very nice English. Very accomodating and helpful. Gave us takeaway breakfast when we were leaving early. Very private and quiet location. Large room, fridge.

The bathroom smelled really bad - like sewage. It was very clean, but I think there is a problem with the sewage.

This was already the second time that we stayed in the Tides Guesthouse and nothing has changed within a year (in a positiv way)! The staff is still very friendly and helpflul. The daily breakfast is very tasty. The rooms are cleaned every day and you get new towls whenever you need them. In addition, the staff organises whale shark, manta and other tours. Don't worry about the transfer to Dhigurah, the Tides Guesthouse also takes care of that! A special thank you goes to Hafeez (owner) and Lahiru (staff)! They are taking very good care of all guests and whenever you have a request, they handle it!

Everything was great. We were welcome at the getty and given a ride with the buggy to the guesthouse. Bicester, welcome fresh coconut for all of us. Hafeez organized our trip upon our requests with his doni, and we had 2 fantastic experiences exploring manta, whale sharks and turtles, and lots of fish The island is very safe. We'd left our key on the door 24/7, and locals are very friendly. We miss Zuura and her family. Everyone is friendly and nice Lion at Tides was always ready to meet any of our requests. Beds and pillows were comfortable! A/C and fan in the room to use as preferred. Also boiler and all necessary for tea and coffee available in the room Sockets are universal. We did not need to use the adaptors. Toilet with nice shower/good size provided with soap, shower gel, and shampoo(not conditionnair) Bath and beach towels are always available Dhigurah gas got one of the sandbank/ beaches in the world; its forest is very interesting. Nice breakfast too. The garden was very cute and we enjoyed our chat out there. The room was a good size for 2 of us, just fine when we were 3, but we were outdoors all the time and did not mind. Difficult to walk with all lugguges on the way. Few min walking from the beach All great!

The breakfast was well presented and healthy. We liked the fruit, fruit juice and cooked eggs with something different added each day. The dining area was lovely…..beautiful garden and peaceful little nook.

Nothing could have made it better……maybe a few more days to enjoy ourselves !
