They did not let us know about the construction on the road that lasted all night. We could not sleep at all and had to travel back the following day. I know this is not something they could control but they were aware of it when I booked.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Location in the center of town. Facilities are safe and the rooms a spacious with underfloor heating. Bathrooms are amazing and cater with both a bath and shower. The people are friendly and helpful!
There is not enough parking on the property (more rooms than parking). This meant we had to park our cars in the street.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026The breakfast experience was terrible. Our waitress was quite untidy and clumsy; she did not give us any options and added honey to our granola without asking. We even had to ask for basic items like spoons and serviettes. Furthermore, the chef was cooking without a head cover and was dressed very unprofessionally. Please look into these hygiene and service issues
I’d suggest switching to a buffet style for breakfast to give guests more choice. Also, be aware that while the CBD location naturally comes with some street noise, the radio was so loud it kept us awake. If you’re looking for a quiet and calm place after a long drive, you might want to look elsewhere

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026We liked the historical significance and the condition and atmosphere of the house, and its lovely garden full of different birds in the morning. The staff were warm and welcoming (and let us know right away that we'd forgotten a phone charger behind). The breakfast (included) was delicious and it was so nice to have complimentary drinks (including two local wines) in the bar fridge. The shower was piping hot, with good pressure, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. It was special having the large church or 'moeder kerk' nearby, with its gentle bell on the half hour, counting out the hours (not at all intrusive). We walked to a nearby Fowlers for dinner and had a super meal with great ambience. We appreciated getting to see a bit more of Worcester, which we usually just drive past; residents must be proud of their well-kept, well-run town. We also enjoyed the Karoo Botanical Garden, just a short drive away.
The only thing I didn't like was that the bedroom shutters were closed, and although they could be opened, it felt as if they were meant to stay shut; the windows face right onto the street, so the natural light I was expecting wasn't there; because of the electric light, it was more like a hotel room than a room in a house. The room felt a little close to the street but it was surprisingly quiet in the night, with only one car hooting at around 5 am.

Das Frühstück war nicht besonders, es wurde nach dem Frühstück erst das Brot gebracht, mit dem Hinweis der Toaster wäre defekt. Es war auch nur eine Scheibe. es ging eine Ameisenstraße durch das Zimmer. An einem von zwei Waschbecken war der Wasserhahn defekt. Die Matratze im Bett war sehr unkomfortabel. Unser Zimmer lag zur Hauptstraße hin und war sehr laut.

The photos of the room creates the impression of a spacious living area and windows. The living area is a shared space outside the room. The actual bedroom had a small window with no view and consequently a dark space. The air conditioner was faulty and made a disturbing noise. We were provided with a small fan as all rooms were booked and we could not be moved to another room. The staff member on duty was very helpful with regards to the air conditioner issue. The accommodation is in the central town area with quite a bit of traffic noise. It would be good if the above observations be highlighted so that the potential guests could take an informed decision.

Its a lovely property with a variety of rooms. We stayed there before and had a very large and comfortable room. However, this time we were put in such a tiny room there was no space to put anything! Then the bedlamps are so large but provide very dim light, unable to read. We had to get chairs to put down our bags in the room. There is no space in the bathroom to place your cosmetics. This was very uncomfortable. Then, it was rather expensive for the room only for one night.

Reviewed Jan 9, 2026The guesthouse itself is beautiful. The location is nice and convenient. Receptionist was a lovely lady and so helpful. The guesthouse was flexible with our check in and check out times.
We had a lot of street noise outside our room. The room we stayed in had a completely see through bathroom on the inside. Really inconvenient and not set up well. The guest loo in the reception area was really dirty too. The Nespresso machine we had to clean ourselves. There’s no tea in the room. The setup inside (room 3) is strange. I wouldn’t say it was worth the price I paid at all. They market themselves well but I’m not sure it lives up to the image (room 3)
