Owners and staff there were all very helpful, kind, and considerate. The breakfast was fantastic each morning and staff offered their number to help us with anything we might need for the rest of our stay. Would fully recommend.

Had a small issue after being locked out of the hotel and unable to contact the owner. Luckily we were able to find an alternative way in. Would have appreciated some sort of compensation for that as it was just lucky we were agile enough to find another way past the gate.

Cet hébergement est incroyable ! La chambre est spacieuse, la salle de bain est propre et jolie, avec tous les équipements. Il y a un balcon très sympa. Le matelas est très confortables. Les draps et serviettes sentent très bons ! Le petit déjeuner est superbe. J’ai adoré passer le week-end à Brixia ! Les gérants sont extrêmement sympathiques, souriants et plein de bons conseils. Je suis partie tôt avant l’heure du petit déjeuner et le personnel m’a préparé un petit en-cas pour le trajet, c’est adorable ! Merci beaucoup !

Me gustó el personal, lo majos que eran. Y también el desayuno, muy completo.

No tiene ascensor y estábamos en la penúltima planta, las toallas no todas eran blancas por lo que no sabes si están limpias. No tiene servicio de habitaciones nos quedamos dos noches pero no pasaron a hacerla. No lo valoraría como un hotel de 4 estrellas, porque además de la zona donde está ubicado no es muy buena, y tampoco sirven ni comidas ni cenas.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui durante il nostro viaggio a Galle in Sri Lanka e ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo! Il proprietario, che ha vissuto molti anni in Italia, è una persona davvero simpatica, disponibile e accogliente, così come sua moglie. Ci hanno fatto sentire a casa fin dal primo momento. Ci sono poi alcuni dettagli che, soprattutto per noi italiani, fanno davvero la differenza: la mattina viene servito un vero caffè italiano preparato con la moka ☕🇮🇹, accompagnato da una colazione varia e buonissima, con ottima frutta fresca e deliziose marmellate. Le camere sono molto belle, pulitissime e curate in ogni dettaglio. E, sorpresa non da poco per un italiano in viaggio… in bagno c'è addirittura il bidet! 😄 Un posto in cui ci siamo sentiti davvero a nostro agio e che consigliamo assolutamente a chi soggiorna a Galle. Ospitalità, attenzione e piccoli dettagli che fanno la differenza. Ci torneremmo molto volentieri!

Relación calidad-precio increíble, cerca de la zona del fuerte (10 minutos andando), la dueña es una mujer italiana encantadora que nos ha preparado el mejor desayuno que hemos probado en Sri Lanka y estaba atenta a cualquier cosa. Hemos agradecido mucho un buen capuccino después de tantos días de viaje.

Albergo più bello in cui siamo stati in Sri Lanka! Consigliatissimo! Attenzioni ai dettagli unica, colazione squisita e abbondante. Camera bellissima, pulita, letto comodissimo, c’è anche il bidet! Saremmo voluti stare più a lungo Posizione ottima, a 2 minuti di Tuktuk dalla fortezza di galle!

Great location, close to train station and central to both the historical areas as well as market shopping. Fabulous room with comfortable bed and large bathroom. Great breakfast, with the best omelette I've had in Sri Lanka (after 21 days of touring the island). Friendly and helpful staff. If that wasn't enough, they also have some cats, which is reason enough to stay here.

Ottimo piccolo hotel a due passi dal Forte, accoglienza fantastica con caffè della moca!!! Camera ampia e pulita con tutto il necessario. Ottima colazione sia italiana che continentale. Enza e Gine sono due persone speciali che ci hanno reso il soggiorno veramente eccellente. Ottima organizzazione del personale, sempre attento e gentile. Posizionato in una città vicino al mercato locale, a 10 minuti a piedi dal Forte di Galle.

Hotel perfecto para visitar Galle, no está en la zona del fuerte pero se llega en un pequeño paseo. Desayuno muy rico, sobretodo el café se nota que lo regenta una italiana. Habitación amplia, buen aire acondicionado y limpia.

Wat een geweldige locatie! Ligt perfect dichtbij Galle fort. De eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk: een mooie mix van Sri Lankaanse en Italiaanse gastvrijheid. Het team is ook top en zeer behulpzaam. Echt een aanrader.

Eigenlijk alles wel, de plek, de kamer, de ontbijtruimte en personeel. We zijn gastvrij ontvangen, onze kamer was geweldig, mooie douche en warm water. Volgende ochtend heerlijk ontbijt. De accommodatie bevindt zich buiten de stad, maar lopend ben je er zo en je komt langs lokale tentjes.

De locatie: via een poortje zit je direct op het strand. Het zwembad is proper. De kamers waren proper. Vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt. Prima stop net voor je terug naar huis vertrekt of start met je reis. Rustig gelegen en toch vlak bij het centrum

De ramen mochten wel eens gekuist worden. Het zwembad is klein, goed voor een plons (maar strand is ook vlakbij)

My family and I stayed here for two nights. The room rate was very reasonable and a great value compared to hotels in the Fort area. The Italian landlady was extremely friendly and served a delicious breakfast alongside authentic Moka pot coffee. She is an amazing cook, and the dinner she made for us was absolutely fantastic!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The owner is very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and genuinely made an effort to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast had a good selection of fresh fruit and other food options, which was a great way to start the day. He even asked if we would prefer other breakfast options, such as a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, which was a very kind and thoughtful gesture. The owner also kindly helped organise transport for our city tour as well as our journey to Colombo. He spoke to the driver and made sure we were taken to the places we wanted to visit, which made everything so much easier and more convenient. We really appreciated the owner’s personal attention and assistance throughout our stay. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and we would happily recommend this hotel.

La problématique des réservations non annulables fait que j’ai réservé pour 1 nuit alors que je pensais rester 2 nuits. J’ai du changer d’hôtel pour la 2eme nuit. Ca ne serait jamais arrivé si la réservation était annulable

De kamer was ruim en prima, ontbijt heerlijk en goed verzorgd. De locatie is buiten de oude stad Galle maar met een tuktuk ben je er zo. Vriendelijk personeel. We verbleven 2 nachten en konden van hieruit de omgeving goed verkennen. Mocht je met de trein komen, station is op loopafstand.

La struttura è pulita e di recente costruzione. Il proprietario è srilankese ma parla benissimo Italiano (gestisce la struttura con la moglie italiana). Sono gentilissimi e accoglienti. Ci hanno aiutati ad organizzare il taxi per Ella. La colazione è buonissima e abbondante. La posizione è ottima per visitare Galle fort (10 min a piedi). Attorno alla struttura si possono trovare banche, negozi, street food e ristoranti. Consigliamo questa struttura vivamente! (Consigliamo di portare dei tappi per le orecchie perché verso mattina si sentono i rumori della città che si sveglia. Con i tappi abbiamo dormito benissimo☺️)

L'alloggio perfetto per visitare Galle e le meravigliose spiagge della costa a sud. Si trova in zona Forte, stazione bus e treni. Posizione strategica. Struttura, stanze, zona comune, tutto arredato con cura. Un ambiente fresco, pulitissimo con una bella atmosfera. Stanza dotata di tutti i comfort, ampia in cui è un piacere riposare e rilassarsi. La colazione è un pasto completo, eccezionale. La coppia che gestisce l'alloggio è semplicemente MERAVIGLIOSA. Mi hanno fatto sentire a CASA, in FAMIGLIA. Il resto dello staff è composto da ragazzi sorridenti e gentilissimi.

La habitación era muy grande y limpia, y la cama muy cómoda. El desayuno abundante y la amabilidad del personal. Está a solo 5 min andando del fuerte y muy cerca de la estación de bus y la calle principal.

The property is impeccably maintained, and its location is right in the heart of Galle, perfect for exploring the city on foot. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the incredible hospitality. The owner is exceptionally kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in ensuring every guest has a memorable stay. The staff are equally warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. This stay exceeded every expectation, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience in Galle. If you're looking for comfort, warmth, outstanding service, and a perfect location, you simply can't go wrong with this place. I would return in a heartbeat <3 :)

Bardzo udany pobyt! Gospodarz był niezwykle miły i zaserwował nam pyszne śniadanie. Pokój był czysty i przestronny, a gospodarz pomógł nam dodatkowo zorganizować transport samochodem do kolejnego noclegu, co było ogromnym ułatwieniem. Polecam!

I booked Brixia last minute when needing to travel to Sri Lanka due to a family member's medical emergency. All the Brixia staff were helpful, caring and kind during my stay. Daily breakfast was delicious, my room was very spacious and incredibly clean. The location was central to everything - it was easy for me to walk everywhere I needed, and occasionally got a tuk tuk which was very easy too. I will be forever grateful for the hospitality and kindness I received during my stay, and will 100% be back to stay here again when I visit Sri Lanka next time for a holiday!

I had an excellent three-night stay at Brixia Cafe and Guesthouse and would happily stay here again. The owner is incredibly hospitable and makes a fantastic breakfast. I had to ask for tips because the omelette was the best I’ve ever had. What really stood out was the genuine care shown. I arrived with a sore throat and cough. When I asked if they had lemon, they kindly made me a whole flask of lime and ginger tea free of charge and had one ready for me the next night when I arrived ‘home’. The host and his staff were also great to talk to, and I really enjoyed our conversations throughout my stay. The room was clean and recently renovated, with a comfortable bed, quiet air conditioning, a new kettle, and a really cold fridge. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay in Galle, offering a genuinely warm home away from home. I highly recommend it.
