Perfekt lokation- 5 minutter gang fra fortet. Lækker pool og fantastisk restaurant og alle ansatte var så søde og venlige. Hotellet er ikke alt for kæmpestort- så man følte næsten at man kom til at kende personalet.

Amazing service, friendly and helpful staff. Manicha, our waitress, went above and beyond in the restaurant. Pool was WOW - great views, clean, incredibly pleasant. Room was also very comfortable.

Staff went beyond to make our stay comfortable . Relax environment . Not over crowded. Rooms & facilities are spotless clean. Twice daily fogging to eliminate mosquitos.

Dinner menu at main Restaurent was a real let down. Restricted options . Breakfast menu was better but not exceptional . Seafood Restaurent closed during our stay . Some areas of reception ceilings need repainting.

We had a great stay at this hotel, a lovely welcome from friendly staff, the room, food and service were all excellent. A great 5 course a la carte meal.on the half board. The hotel is well situated and a quiet and peaceful haven really close to beautiful but busy Galle. You can see the fort from the hotel. Whilst it's only a 10-15 minute walk we preferred to pay the 500LKR for a Tuk tuk! Often I find hotels don't live up to their glossy website pictures but this exceeded our expectations. When we left something behind the reception team efficiently found it and helped us get it back . Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Amazing location; peaceful and perfect for exploring Galle sites and shops. Staff were exceptional.

We stayed in the plunge pool suite also known as the clippenburg suite and had an amazing 2 nights. It's very spacious and beautifully designed whereby our plunge pool also faces the sea! The hospitality from the staff was really next level and we had great conversations with them too, they were all too helpful in helping us navigate our holiday!

There's a big space like a sofa kind of place in front of the bed in the suite, I hope for that area to be optimised better as well as its a huge open space.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to (Thushi) for an outstanding massage session today. The experience was truly amazing in every way. She is highly skilled, professional, and has a great ability to target muscle tension effectively while keeping the session thoroughly relaxing. The atmosphere was peaceful, and her technique perfectly balanced pressure and gentleness to deliver maximum relaxation. I left feeling completely recharged and refreshed. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend (Thushi ) to anyone looking for a top-tier, professional massage!

Stayed at Le Grand Galle and had such a nice experience. They upgraded us to a beautiful room with a jacuzzi, which made our stay extra special. The overall hospitality and comfort were excellent, and we truly enjoyed our time there. 🍳 The only small comment is that I wish the breakfast had a wider selection — but everything else was fantastic. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

A few minute walk to Galle Fort. Perfect vibe with sea breeze and amazing room view. Tasty breakfast with a wide variety of food choices. Room is spacious and comfortable. Definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.

The hotel has a unique location with a front view on the Galle fort. We had an ocean view room which gave us a nice sunset moment from our balcony. Food is good and the people are very friendly.

Our sea-view room was spacious, modern, and beautifully presented, with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was well-appointed with quality amenities, and the views over the Indian Ocean and Galle Fort were simply breathtaking. The dining experience exceeded our expectations. Both the breakfast buffet and dinner were outstanding. Breakfast offered an excellent variety of fresh Sri Lankan and international dishes, while dinner was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and one of the highlights of our stay. We also enjoyed the complimentary cocktail evening, which was a lovely gesture and provided a great opportunity to relax and unwind. What truly made our stay special was the outstanding hospitality. Beautiful hotel overlooking the walls of Galle Fort and the ocean. Luxurious rooms with ocean view, huge comfy bed, soft pillows and great showers. Restaurant has and delicious food - better quality and better price than in the fort area. Friendly attentive staff who can’t do enough to assist you.

Le Grand Galle est un établissement magnifique. Dès mon arrivée, j'ai été émerveillée par la vue sur la mer et le vieux fort, dans le prolongement de la superbe piscine. A cet égard, la petite crique près de la piscine à un charme fou. L'accueil est remarquable, avec ses délicates attentions de bienvenue, et la chambre que j'ai eue avec vue mer était sublime. D'habitude sceptique sur les buffets, j'ai été séduite par le buffet du dîner. Les produits proposés étaient de grande qualité et m'ont permis de découvrir la gastronomie locale. Le petit-déjeuner était lui aussi exceptionnel. Je recommande particulièrement le spa, tout à fait à la hauteur du reste de l'établissement. Bien qu'ayant séjourné dans d'autres établissements de standing pendant mes trois semaines au Sri Lanka, aucun n'a atteint l'excellence du Grand Galle. Merci à tout le personnel pour ce séjour fantastique.

We’ve had a great time here so far, staff are very friendly and attentive making sure we have been happy with everything. The rooms are spacious and well laid out and the setting near the beach is both peaceful and picturesque whilst being ideal to visit the town and surrounding areas. We’ve all been to the spa in the hotel and had massages with Thushi who was lovely and very generous with her time. Galle Fort is walkable with lots of shops and restaurants and it’s just as easy to get on a tuk tuk if you’ve had enough walking. A great stay 😊

This is an ideal location just 5 minutes walk from Galle Fort with ocean views. The generous sized room and verandah overlooked the pool and ocean. The in house restaurant was excellent. The room was serviced twice daily.

This is an excellent hotel. We went for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were very excited to receive a free room upgrade which was amazing. The pool is delightful, the staff are attentive, friendly and professional, and the views are second to none. The breakfast was our favourite breakfast of our whole trip, so much variety and all fresh and plentiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Le Grand Galle is one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed at. The location is amazing. Beautiful scenery and lovely views of the sea. We stayed in the suite which was incredible with its own plunge pool and garden. The bathroom was spacious with indoor/outdoor showers and twin sinks. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The whole hotel was clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was divine and dinner and cocktails are a must. The food was so fresh and the choice was amazing. We would definitely recommend and hope that we get to come back again one far. 1st stay on our trip and a tough act to replicate.

Definitely don't be misled by the reviews into thinking this place is a 5-star hotel.We came to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon.The suite they put us in was a damp room.Everything at breakfast was stale.I want to talk about the reception staff.When we went to exchange money, We had never felt so swindled.As we were leaving Colombo, we asked about a taxi.After hearing the answer, we felt we needed to leave immediately.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Grand Galle. Everything was excellent from check-in to check-out. The staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel was spotless, the swimming pool was lovely, and our sea-view room offered a beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant served a wide variety of dishes, including plenty of delicious options that were not overly spicy, which we really appreciated. Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Grand Galle! We visited with our 3-month-old baby, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Le Grand Galle is a beautiful luxury hotel located close to Galle Fort with amazing views of the ocean. The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean giving a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help making guests feel welcome. The infinity pool and sea view are highlights perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Breakfast and food options are also good with a nice variety. Overall it is a great place for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Galle especially for couples and families.

During our stay at Le Grand Hotel Galle, dining at Taste Restaurant was a truly beautiful experience, made even more memorable by the above exceptional service of Ms Hasandi, Mr Kaveesha, and Chef Kithmina. A special thank you to Ms Hasandi, who consistently greeted us with a warm smile and demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. She was knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to recommend dishes to us. What impressed us most was her attention to detail. We placed our dinner order in the afternoon, and when we arrived at 7.30 pm, everything was ready for us. Our table was reserved with a great view. She then serve every course promptly and flawlessly. We are indeed very impressed with her dedication and genuine care. She is indeed a gem. We would also like to commend Mr Kaveesha for his hard work and commitment. He worked tirelessly; always clearing and resetting tables efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. He carried out his duties with pride and professionalism. A special mention goes to Chef Kithmina at the live cooking station. The noodles he prepared for us were delicious. He is good at what he does and accommodates guest requests and created dishes with balanced of flavours and textures.
