La casa es impresionante y da justo al lago, muy bonito lugar y el dueño Jhon es un hombre encantador, donde además puede explicarte muchas cosas de la ciudad, volvería a repetir este alojamiento!!

Eten en drinken niet echt op loopafstand

John war mega sympathisch. Das Zimmer war mit Balkon und ausreichend gross. Badezimmer eher klein. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Lage ist für Leute, die nicht gerne bergauf laufen schwierig zu erreichen. Sie liegt oberhalb von Kinsale. Zum Essen muss man in den Ort gehen oder bestellen.

De B&B is hoog gelegen en het uitzicht over de baai, zowel vanuit onze kamer als vanuit de ontbijt-/woonkamer, is wijds en erg mooi. Het is een oase van rust! John, de eigenaar, is ontzettend gastvrij en geeft goede tips over bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. Er is veel keuze bij het ontbijt, het was overvloedig!

What a view across the River! Our host John was really helpful with local sites and activities. The bed was very comfortable and the location quiet. It was just a 3/4 mile walk to the center of town. Parking off street was easy. A definite do again.

Ein wirklich geniales Bed & Breakfast! Die Lage ist wunderschön, und unser Zimmer mit Meerblick war ein absoluter Traum. Das Zimmer war zwar nicht sehr groß, aber mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Eigentümer war äußerst lieb, freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und fast wie zu Hause gefühlt.

The house was beautiful. It was situated above the bay with amazing views. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious and served in the dining area overlooking the bay. John was welcoming and very helpful with information regarding restaurants and bars. The house was a convenient walk from town.

Be aware there is no elevator

John is a fantastic host. The location is just out of town but an easy drive. The views of the harbour are fantastic. Room was fine & Irish breakfast was a treat!!! Would definitely stay again when back in Kinsale.

Road to property a bit narrow and windy but not really a problem and definitely worth the drive to such a special place.

We had a wonderful room with a view of the river. The breakfast the next day was outstanding. We parked near the municipal building which was a short drive and then had an easy wal into town.

It would have been nice to be closer to town but the view and the hospitality made up for that.

Spacious property set slightly out of town with magnificent views. Room had a balcony with sea views. Large sitting area. Breakfast home cooked. Freshly baked scones! Outside seating area overlooking the water.

Lovely home with beautiful gardens in an outstandingly scenic location on top of Signal Hill, Kinsale overlooking the River Bandon as it flows into Kinsale's Bay. 4-star, very comfortable, bedrooms with Juliet balconies and a lovely large lounge/dining room with excellent views. John, our host, was excellent - very friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely breakfast - cereals, fresh fruit, chocolate croissants, scrambled eggs with large portions of smoked salmon and delicious scones.

It’s in a private property nestled in the hills overlooking the scenic Kinsale River Bandon and the hillsides along the river. Cozy and comfortable.

Mooie locatie, alleen een kamer verkopen met balkon waar geen balkon is......... Alleen een ijzeren hekje staat en n halve deur die maar openkan en geen zitje is GEEN balkon.

A wonderful BnB with beautiful views over the water. John was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable and clean.

At present there was no WiFi, host working out issues with provider. Room was serviceable but a tight fit with luggage. Road leading to property not for the faint of heart

Son assitante est tout aussi sympa. Très bon séjour. John, the owner, is very welcoming, helpful, and full of anecdotes. He even took us to the center and Dock Beach in his personal car. His assistant is just as friendly. We had a very pleasant stay.

Bel établissement sur les hauteurs de la ville de Kinsale. Propriétaire sympathique qui nous a descendu en ville le soir avec son véhicule personnel (voir les raisons dans la rubrique suivante)

We had a fantastic stay at Rocklands. The location is fantastic with views to die for. John was the perfect host and absolutely nothing was too much bother for him.

John was a super host and even gave us a lift to Kinsale and showed us around. The facilities and views were superb. We would highly recommend Rocklands House

It's a lovely house with a scenic view and a great breakfast. The rooms are clean, and we had a great view, too. John is a very friendly and respectful host.

It takes quite some time for the shower to get hot.

Our view was lovely, especially as it could be enjoyed from a Juliette balcony, however the large panorama windows in the lounge had a fantastic view to enjoy. Our choice for breakfast was perfect- Scrambled eggs with salmon.

Our room was cozy with a great view. The breakfast and overall service were fantastic. John was such a great host. He volunteered to check on a dinner reservation for us while he was in town. He is also provided some great recommendations on a few sights we hadn't planned on seeing. We were so happy he did, the views were breathtaking.

Excellent food, nice room although a bit small, amazing view from the family room window, good parking.

Location. The property was a half hour walk from downtown, where the only restaurants and pubs were located. Into town was down hill, but return was seriously up hill. Down town had narrow streets, was very congested and there was limited parking so driving was also a problem.

Die Lage ist prima, etwa 20 Minuten Fußweg in die Innenstadt. Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben, zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch und die Gastfreundschaft überwältigend!

Amazing breakfast and host was very kind and helpful.

John was a most lovely host. Even offered to drive us down in to the town on our first night there. The roads in Kinsale are very tight! The view of the water and the property are something we will all miss!
