Our stay at Poppy’s was wonderful and meaningful as well. The atmosphere was welcoming and we had a great time. All the stories behind the belongings at Poppy’s were rich in history, memory and personal identity. Fascinating!

Peter our host was excellent. Gave us loads of information and places to visit and eat. We had lovely breakfasts each morning of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

The room was filled with very interesting decor and ornaments. Loved the look and feel of room. Breakfast was beyond expectations, a treat with lots of different selections. Peter and Iris were brilliant hosts.

The entrance to the property was busy which could be sorted for guests not to see.

The whole atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, the decor was magnificent and there were amazing stories behind everything I admired.

Peter & Iris were very friendly and approachable. They gave us many wonderful reccomendations for our first visit to beautiful Bruges. The accommodation was close (within walking distance) to everything in the old city. We had a wonderful time, thankyou Peter, Iris & Miss Poppy 🐶

It is a beautiful house, so well decorated and the hosts are incredibly hospitable. They made us a massive spread for breakfast and were very flexible with us dropping off our bag before check in. The location is very quiet and calm, we had a very restful night

Το σπίτι βρίσκεται στην πολύ όμορφη και ήσυχη γειτονιά της Αγίας Άννας, η οποία δεν είναι μακριά από το κέντρο. Το δωμάτιο είναι διακοσμημένο με έπιπλα εποχής και σε ταξιδεύει σε μια άλλη εποχή. Το πρωινό πολύ πλούσιο και ο Peter πολύ ευγενικός και φιλόξενος.

Λίγο τα σκαλιά για να ανέβεις στο δωμάτιο με τις βαλίτσες, αλλά αφού το σπίτι είναι παλιό δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι διαφορετικά

Iris, Peter y Mrs Poppy son unos huéspedes maravillosos, dedicados y conocedores de la historia de Brujas. Al ser una casa particulara, la habitación completa la experiencia de la ciudad. Volveré sin duda.

Het was een speciale dag voor ons aangezien onze dochter de dag erop trouwde. Peter en Iris hebben alles gedaan opdat alles kon verlopen. Het ontbijt was verzorgd en werd ons e uitzonderlijk vroeg bezorgd zodat de kapster enz. haar werk kon doen. Bedankt hiervoor@

Me gustó muchísimo la decoración de la habitación así como el desayuno y las conversaciones con Pieter, el dueño.

Hotellet låg i ett mycket vackert område mitt i den gamla stadskärnan. Dess inredning med alla fina antikviteter och vackra detaljer var fantastisk att upptäcka. Frukosten serverades i vacker miljö och var mycket välsmakande och våra trevliga samtal med värden gjorde vistelsen både varm och personlig. Att dessutom få en flaska bubbel som gåva för att fira min kommande 60-årsdag var otroligt generöst. Tack Peter ännu en gång!!

Allt var perfekt. Vi kunde inte ha önskat oss mer av vistelsen.

Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality – this was truly one of the best experiences of my life. The atmosphere in the house was warm and welcoming, the room was absolutely stunning (like staying in a small museum!), and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were beyond delicious! Beautiful room, spacious bathroom with walk in shower, gorgeous stained glass in windows. Coffee maker and refrigerator were all we needed because the breakfast was so good. We had fruit, rolls and pastry, smoked salmon, cheeses, cured meats like salami and ham, yogurt, juice and more coffee. Plus we had a gift bottle of champagne in the fridge in our room. Peter gave 100% reliable recommendations on what to see and where to eat. We learned a lot of history in Bruges from Peter and also contemporary information like train trips to regional interests. Boutique B&B Poppy's is a 5 minute walk to the city center but in a very quiet neighborhood. Finally, Poppy was an absolute delight. We got to visit with her every morning on our way out.

Very nice and helpful hosts, amazing breakfast! Beautiful, special rooms you will not find very often elsewhere.

It was not clear to us when we booked that the room is in a house where the hosts themselves live as well.

The hosts Peter & Iris were so warm & welcoming. I got lost on my way to their B&B & Peter met me accompany me there. What a treat I was in for. I was accommodated in the Cupid room which was exceptional in every way. Exquisite room & en suite with roll top bath & separate WC. Tasteful & substantial breakfast.

Quizás el hecho que no tenían todo lo necesario para la ducha, les hacía falta shampoo y ya casi no había gel de ducha.

Petit déjeuner extraordinaire (largement en tête de tous nos séjours par le biais de Booking) ! Accueil au delà de nos espérances et proximité du Centre ville.

Le lit avec la lumière autour du sommier/matelas mérite peut-être un petit réglage pour ne pas être réveillé la nuit au moindre mouvement.

L'emplacement, le cadre, la déco, le petit déjeuner était plus que waouh 🤩 Peter parle très bien le Français et d'autres langues. Peter est très sympathique et nous a fait partager ses souvenirs sans oublier de nous présenter l'histoire de Poppy😍

Where to start ! My girlfriend and I have just had the absolute pleasure of staying at Miss Poppy's. Peter, Iris and of course Miss Poppy are the absolute perfect hosts. Our room was to die for and breakfast is out of this world - a gorgeous selection of meats, fish, pastries, eggs and even champagne which went down very well ! Peter and Iris were more than helpful from the minute we arrived (and we arrived early) however, Peter pointed out on a map the best way to tour the city and also a few hidden gems - Cafe Vlissinghe being my favourite. In summary we could not recommend Miss Poppy's enough - hospitality on another level. Peter & Iris - we will see you soon and Thank you x

The house is beyond amazing, everything felt like I was in a fairy tale .I have no words to speak highly enough about Peter and Iris hospitality. My stay there felt like a dream which I would cherish though the rest of my life. Peter and Iris if you are reading this, I wish you all the best and I want to thank you for the wonderful experience! Es ist das persönliche Haus von Peter und Iris und nicht nur ein Hotel ohne Leben. Daher leben die beiden ebenso in diesem Haus. Das macht es familiär. Die beiden sind offen für Gespräche, 2 lebenslustige Leutchen die auch gerne mal Tipps für gutes flämisches Essen haben. Ebenso kann man über historisches des Hauses wie auch der Stadt bei Ihnen im Haus beim Frühstück erfahren. Alles in allem ein Erlebnis  - schöne kleine Zimmer mit viel Ausstattung. Wir hatten  das Schwanenzimmer. Neben antiquarischen Möbeln und Dekorationsgegenständen gibt es Wasserkocher + Tee,  Sprudelwassergerät, Kaffeemaschine mit Tabs und weitere Utensilien wie Seife/ Shampoo. Neue Klimaanlage und TV natürlich ebenso mit dabei. Ein neues Bad mit neuer Heizung wenn es mal kalt wird. Eine Regendusche mit Temperatureinstellung auf einer großzügig geschnitten Duschfläche die für mehr als 2 Personen sehr grosszügig ausgelegt ist . Das Bad ist insgesamt in einem sehr guten neuwertigen Zustand. Das Bett lädt durch eine stabile Matratze zu einem langen ruhigen Schlaf ein. Besonders schön sind die vielen kleinen Lampen die sich im Haus wie auch in den zu nutzenden Zimmern befinden.  Kleiner Tipp - rechtzeitig schauen wie die Lampen im Zimmer an- und ausgehen ;-) . Das Frühstück ist sehr exklusiv und es scheint das man ein Teil der Familie ist . Frisches brombeeren, johanisbeeren und himbeeren am Tisch . An dem exklusiven Angebot des Frühstücks nehmen maximal 4 Personen aus dem Haus teil und es ist von lachs über Käse und Marmelade, frischen Backwaren und Brötchen bis hin zu Champagneränlichen Getränken auch ein frischgepresster Orangrnsaft uns frisch gekochte weiche Eier verfügbar.  Es gibt insgesamt vieles zu sehen in dem Poppies B&B. Auch der kleine Malteser Hund des Hauses sollte erwähnt werden da dieser Teil der Namensgebung Ist und ein ganz süßer lieber oben drein. Zimmer sind sauber und haben keine Mängel

Beachtet werden sollte das es nicht für bewegungseingeschränkte Personen gedacht ist, da die Zimmer im 2. Stock sind

Een fijn verblijf bij dit warme koppel en hun schattige maltezer Poppy. De kamers zijn uniek ingericht. Deze mensen hebben er echt hun werk van gemaakt, ook van het ontbijt waar we niks tekort kwamen.

Sehr aufmerksamer Vermieter, er gab aussergewöhnlich gute Infos zur Stadt und hatte hervorragende Tipps wohin man gehen und was man sich ansehen sollte. Das Interieur ist schon speziell, aber es lohnt, sich darauf einzulassen. Die Lage ist perfekt. Sehr ruhig, aber fussläufig nur 10-15 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Super Frühstück.

Superbe séjour, le petit déjeuner est incroyable tout comme la chambre ainsi que les propriétaires ! Ils sont très accueillant et instructif sur la ville. Ils parlent français, anglais et néerlandais, donc rien à reprocher, on a adoré et on recommande sans hésitation.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Peter et Iris. Les photos montrent parfaitement la décoration anglaise victorienne réalisée dans les moindres détails. Dépaysement total au milieu d'objets chargés d'histoire. Enfin, nos hôtes sont plus que charmants: attentifs, sympathiques et amoureux de Bruges, ils partagent de magnifiques histoires et anecdotes. Quant au petit-déjeuner, il est fabuleux; impossible de tout goûter tellement nos hôtes ont préparé une multitude de plats tant sucrés que salés ! Nous les remercions chaleureusement pour leur accueil et ne pouvons que conseiller un séjour dans leur magnifique maison !

Beautifully furnished room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, hosts were very welcoming and the large bathtub was relaxing after a long day! Also convenient having an underground parking garage close by.

Lovely quirky B&B and Peter, Iris and Miss Poppy were warm and welcoming. The room great, tea, coffee, biscuits and a few chocs, a map for the Christmas markets. Peter showed us the way to the car park which is all one way roads but only a 5 minute walk to the B&B. The centre is about 15 mins walk. Breakfast is served at 9am, but we had to leave before then so they packed us up a breakfast which was great! Would recommend this place if you're staying in Bruges 😀

The owners were very kind and hospitable. Best service we have ever had. The breakfasts were absolutely perfect. The room is very cozy. We will definitely use again.

Nos hôtes sont des personnes merveilleuses, le petit déjeuner en leur présence fut un moment exceptionnel où on se rend compte que l'amour existe!!! Non seulement cela mais la chambre fut un moment de bonheur dû à l'atmosphère que nos hôtes ont su mettre...n'avez vous jamais eu envie d'être une reine et un roi!!! Wij hebben in oktober 2024 het mooie Brugge bezocht. Het centrum vd stad is een groot monument. Wij verbleven bij B&B Poppy. Wij zijn vriendelijk ontvangen door gastheer Peter en gastvrouw Iris met hun hondje Poppy. De zorgvuldig ingerichte kamers zijn stijlkamers die je terug brengen in vroegere tijden. De salon ingericht in dezelfde sfeer is waar een meer dan geweldig ontbijt wordt geserveerd. In de leuke gesprekken kregen wij waardevolle informatie over de stad Brugge zijn geschiedenis, de goede eetgelegenheden en de te bekijken historische gebouwen, kerken en musea. Wij hebben zeer genoten Peter en Iris, dank daarvoor.

Nous avons passé deux nuits formidables. Une chambre très confortable. PETER et IRIS sont deux personnes avec qui le courant est très bien passé. On se sent ɓien chez eux, comme chez nous. Ils sont présents tout en étant discrets et nous ont donné de très bons conseils tant sur le côté historique et les visites à faire. Des adresses pour se restaurer. Le B&B est très bien situé dans un quartier calme et propice à la balade et à la découverte. La cerise sur le gâteau : le petit déjeuner ! que dire : digne d'un 5 étoiles. Goûteux, très copieux, très bien présenté et diversifié. Un vrai régal. Et n'oublions pas la petite Poppy et sa garde robe qui nous a bien fait rire. Merci Peter et Iris et bonne continuation ! Portez vous bien !

The breakfast was absolutely exquisite and gourmet. The owners are beyond friendly, accommodating, and nice. Peter replies to messages right away and is always beyond helpful! The location was excellent and super close to the city center. Peter likes to tell alot of stories about the town and is very strong in history. Both Iris and Peter are really in love with Bruges and it really shows in the way they run and operate their lovely B&B.

This is a very nice B&B. Peter, Iris and Poppy are the most lovely hosts.

Das Zimmer (Schwan) und auch das Bad ware eine Wucht! Super! Sehr, sehr viel Liebe zu den Details sind überall sichtbar. Peter und Iris sind sehr aufmerksam und kümmern sich um alles. Die Lage passt auch super und die gesamte Stat lässt sich von hier aus auch gut zu Fuß erkunden.

Das Teppenhaus ist doch recht eng, aber die Zimmer entschädigen dafür. Einen öffentlichen Parkplatz zu finden ist eine kleine Herausforderung, aber keine Unmöglichkeit. Ansonsten bleiben einem die Parkhäuser. ACHTUNG...die meisten Kneipen und Restaurants schliesen in Brugge sehr zeitig. Um 21:00 noch ein Warmes Abendessen zu erhalten ist eine richtige Herausforderung in Brugge.

Wer auf Reisen das Aussergewöhnliche sucht, kommt hier voll auf seine Rechnung. Im roten Zimmer fühlt man sich aufgrund seiner Ausstattung wie im Märchen und man kann sich nicht satt sehen. Moderne Annehmlichkeiten fehlen jedoch nicht: Sauberes, bequemes Bett, Soda Stream, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher… Besonders gefallen hat mir die grosszügige Nasszelle mit gut funktionierender Dusche. Ich hätte mir nur gewünscht, ich hätte das Fenster öffnen können. Das war zum Zeitpunkt meines Aufenthaltes leider nicht möglich. Da das Haus ein altes, authentisches Brügger Haus ist, ist es mit seinen Treppen (ohne Aufzug) nicht mit einem Hotel zu vergleichen. Wer mit viel Gepäck reist, sollte dies bedenken. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig. Wir wurden vorab nach unseren Wünschen gefragt und diese wurden auch prompt umgesetzt. Dazu erhielten wir vom Hausherrn viele Tipps fürs Sightseeing sowie geschichtliche Infos und auch Hilfe bei der Taxibuchung. Peter und Iris wohnen selbst in diesem Haus und setzen alles daran, ihren Gästen ein einmaliges Erlebnis zu bieten. Das ist gelungen. Dieser Aufenthalt wird immer ein spezieller Teil unserer Erinnerungen sein. Vielen Dank dafür!

Sehr speziell eingerichtete Zimmer - jedes Detail stimmt. Es gab auch Soda stream, Kaffee und Tee. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Frühstück mehr als reichhaltig und sehr abwechslungsreich!

La habitación del piso de arriba es preciosa y muy cómoda. El baño tiene unos detalles sorprendentes. Es muy tranquilo por la noche, no se oye ni un ruido. Los anfitriones son muy amables. El desayuno es muy bueno y completo, servido un salón muy agradable. El último día dejamos las maletas y nos dieron unas llaves para poder recogerlas cuando quisiéramos.

The host and hostess took a personal interest in our wellbeing. They even tried to tailor the breakfast on each morning differently trying to satisfy our tastes. Do not book this place if you are in a hurry because the hosts have so much to share that the time just flies by. We could easily have booked extra nights with them and not have run out of things to talk about. We were blessed to have booked at a time when there was much festivities in Bruges and so had many walks into town which is minutes away, and never found it boring.

The cost of parking is a pity but the car was extremely safe all the time.

We loved how friendly and helpful Peter and Iris were. They let us drop our bags early before check in to walk around town, and gave some good recommendations. The standing bath and the aircon were luxurious and the room was super unique and pretty with baroque furniture. The breakfast in the morning was a huge and delicious spread and regaled by happy stories of Bruges by Peter. A half hour walk through town from the train station reaches the bnb.
