Amazing breakfast. Loved the quiet location. The family was very friendly and helpful. The internet connection was reasonable but not enough if you are working away.

There is a very noisy hotel and a religious service nearby that can keep you awake. Also dogs barking and peacocks but hey - it's Sri Lanka!

Talalla is a very quiet little village, which suited me perfectly. The house was a 2-minute walk from the beach, and one minute from a little shop which provided everything basic. Several restaurants were also within walking distance, but as it was off-season, some of the places were closed. The host provided a delicious breakfast and dinner on request.

This is Sri Lanka, so there was quite a lot of noise around - from another hotel, a temple, the dogs and peacocks. None of it bothered me, though.

Příjemné ubytování v malém domečku,všechno čisté,tekla teplá voda a tlak vody byl dostatečný. Majitelé velmi mýlí a paní úžasně vařila a oslavili jsme s nimi narozeniny mého manžela. Cítili jsme se tam jako doma,pláž je jen pár metrů a vedle domu je malý obchod kde se dá platit kartou. Určitě bych se tam vrátila ,miluji tuto oblast.❤️😉

Nelka è una persona di una gentilezza eccezionale e una cuoca eccellente. Le sue colazioni cingalesi sono ottime anche rispetto alla già alta qualità delle colazioni cingalesi dell'isola, oltre che decisamente abbondanti. Anche la cena non delude affatto. Il giardino è una piccola oasi di pace vicinissima alla spiaggia, una delle più interessanti e meno turistiche della costa sud. Peccato solo non aver avuto più tempo a disposizione per soggiornare nella casa di Nelka, in cui speriamo di poter tornare in futuro, per godere di più anche dell'amaca in terrazza. Ancora grazie per la gentilissima ospitalità!

The room was small. There is no window but a door to a private balcony that has no mosquito net so no movement of air most of the day

Heerlijk rustig en gezellig huis, zeer aangenaam verblijf met geen enkel minpunt! Elke ochtend een heerlijk en ander ontbijt! Zeer zeker een aanrader!

Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires et une très très bonne cuisinière, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre court séjour. Très bien placé à proximité d'une belle plage peu fréquentée.

il faut si possible choisir la chambre avec eau chaude et climatisation car toutes les chambres ne se ressemblent pas mais cela était bien indiqué à la réservation donc ce n'est pas un problème.

non AC room was also rather hot, the overhead fan is fixed to a low setting and doesn’t do anything. A standing fan would have been better

Our host Nelka was friendly, breakfast was delicious and the BnB was a 3 minute walk to the beach which was ideal.

Das Zimmer ist sehr komfortabel und ausgestattet mit allem, was man so braucht. Ich war in einem separaten Bungalow untergebracht. Dadurch und auch in der Umgebung war es sehr ruhig. Das Bett ist sehr gemütlich und groß. Am besten gefallen hat mir das Frühstück, welches sehr lecker war. Der Gastgeber ist per WhatsApp schnell und einfach zu erreichen. Sowohl er als auch seine Frau sind super lieb.

Die Klimaanlage hat leider nicht funktioniert. Für mich war dies nicht so schlimm, allerdings war es dadurch auch nachts recht warm in dem Zimmer.

I had a wonderful stay at Talalla BnB, a peaceful guesthouse just steps from the beautiful Talalla Beach in Talalla South, Sri Lanka. La amabilidad de la anfitriona. Rico y variado desayuno Esta 2 minutos caminando a la playa. Que po cierto es una playa muy bonita. Volveríamos encantados.

Nos toco la habitación del segundo piso, y la verdad era bastante dura, almohadas y colchón. Pero por el precio y calidad no está mal, aunque podría mejorar esos detalle. Creemos que las habitaciones del primer piso se veían mucho mas cómodas.

Talalla BnB was my favorite stay in the south coast of Sri Lanka. Very peaceful, no tuktuk traffic noise, 2 minutes walk to the beach. The host is very kind and asks you what time you want the breakfast. It comes with 4 hoppers, fruit plate, papaia juice, tea and Dahl. The room and toilet are the cleanest I have seen in Sri Lanka. Recommend 200%

BnB très agréable à Thallala south, situé à 5 minutes à pied de la très jolie plage de Thallala, dans le meilleur quartier du village, éloigné de la route nationale très fréquentée Excellent accueil par une famille aux petits soins J'ai occupé une chambre non climatisée au RDC, très bien meublé (table, portant, étagère, moustiquaire, éclairage indirect..) avec une terrasse privative accessible depuis la chambre avec table, fauteuils et hamac) Très bon petit déjeuner inclus Excellent rapport qualité prix

Rien en particulier, le BnB a tout à fait correspondu à mes attentes Merci pour l'accueil et la gentillesse !

ABSOLUTE EMPFEHLUNG!! Eine so herzliche und gastfreundliche Familie, bei der ich eine wunderbare Zeit verbringen durfte. Die Lage ist super, ca. 5 Gehminuten zum Meer. Nebenan hat es sogar einen kleinen Supermarkt, bei dem man das nötigste wie Snacks und Wasser bekommt. Es gibt im Umkreis Restaurants, die habe ich aber nicht benötigt, weil es vor Ort das beste Essen überhaupt gibt. Ob Frühstück oder Abendessen-einfach köstlich! Ich hatte eine super erholsame Zeit dort :)

Es waren 2 wundervolle Wochen im Tallala Bnb! Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder. Der Strand ist sehr ruhig und auch noch einigermaßen authentisch. Die Unterkunft ist wunderbar gelegen und besticht vorallem durch die Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft der Besitzer. Eine tolle Familie, die immer da ist, wenn man sie braucht. Nette Gespräche mit anderen Reisenden, tolles Essen in der Unterkunft, viel Natur und viele Tiere haben das Ganze abgerundet. Wer lieber privat und zu vernünftigen Preisen unterkommen möchte, anstatt seine Zeit in sterilen und überteuerten Hotels zu verbringen, kann ich Talalla BnB bedenkenlos zu 100% weiterempfehlen!

Les hôtes ont été extrêmement accueillants, chaleureux et disponibles. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner qu'ils nous ont préparé étaient exceptionnels ! L'emplacement est calme, paisible et très agréable, nous disposions même d'une petite terrasse qui nous a permis d'observer de nombreux singes. Le lit est très confortable et le linge propre. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Lovely owners who really look after you. Amazing Sri Lanka food and evening meals are very cheap. The breakfast included was also lovely. The location is perfect as you just walk around the corner to the beautiful quiet beach of Thalalla.

We have been to this place several times and feel like at home. It's a very short walk to the beach. The room was clean in a quiet location in the village. There is a little shop next door where you can buy water and other stuff you may need. The family is very nice and has a good reputation in the whole area with a lovely auntie. Always when we needed anything Ranji and Nilka helped to satisfy our needs. For example Ranji made our booking for the airport bus. We're looking forward to coming back again. Thank you

The property was in a fantastic location. Very close to the beach and restaurants. The owners were so kind and welcoming, they made me feel very comfortable. Nothing was ever a problem for the owners and they went out their way to help me in any way possible. The food in the bnb was some of the best curries I tasted, the portion size was very large.

One of the rooms didn’t have hot water but this is common in Sri Lanka.

Perfect peaceful and relaxing place only a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Talalla beach. The room was clean and comfortable and there was a hammock and seating area outside to relax in. The breakfast and dinner was very delicious (some of the best Sri Lankan food of our trip).

The property was so homely and welcoming. I wanted a home stay as I was a solo traveller and the family made me feel so comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and a real nice variety each day. Just watch out for the monkies that want to share it!!! Location wise.. it’s ideal. Close to the stunning and quiet Talalla beach, close to local restaurants and a short walk up to the main road where you can easily get the bus or grab a tuk tuk. My room had a hammock which was perfect to waste a few hours away listening to the sound of the waves and the birds and even the distant Buddhist chanting. Beautiful!

If ur in Thalalla stay here it was the best sleep I had in Sri Lanka , bed is comfy , I had a hammock outside to chill, it’s right next to the beach, the food was soo good and the owners are so sweet !

This property is in an ideal location in the heart of Talalla beach area and 2 minutes from the actual beach! I liked amount of private space that came with the booking. I loved the hot water for my shower (not always available in a rented room in Talalla). The hammock on the balcony was my favourite place to relax! The food made for me for breakfast was incredible! The hosts couldn’t do enough in an attempt to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Genuinely lovely people!!

It is is described that the room comes with a private entrance, this is one of the reasons I chose the property. The rooms entrance staircase is located inside the hosts house. Sometimes, especially when coming back late, I felt as if I was disturbing the family, although I’m sure they didn’t mind. The bed in the room was very creaky, so much so that when I turned in the night on my first few nights it would wake me. But it’s something I soon got used to!

Small but very clean room with a small patio looking to the garden. You can watch monkeys, squirrels, birds. Very comfortable bed. Guesthouse is in a quiet location and 2 minutes walk to beautiful Talalla beach. Very friendly owners, very friendly locals. Nelka cooks delicious food and she let me watch her cooking as i wanted to learn how to cook the vegetable curry and dal. I ate almost all my meals there. There are no ATMs or money exchange facilities in the village so Lakshman gave me a ride on his motorbike to Matara to exchange money and look for an ayurvedic medicine I needed. The grandmother is also very sweet. Overall, if you are looking for an authentic Sri Lankan stay, this is the place. I felt like staying with relatives. Sad to leave.

Internet was a bit slow but this could be due to the weather confitions maybe as it was raining heavily at some point. There is no hot water if this is important for you. I only needed it when i was caught in the rain and needed a warm shower on my return..other than that when the outside is hot and sunny you appreciate the cold water :)

Very nice people, and a good place to stay! 3 min walk from the beach. I know you'llbe tempted toneat in the beach, but you have to try her home-cooked food. It is delicious, best Pumpkin curry i ate! And awesome pancakes with fruit for breakfast 😊

I stayed here for 1 nights and it was a blast. The location is really good it is located on a really small street so it is really quiet and you can chill in the terrace watching the garden and relax. You can find a supermarket next door and a beautiful beach (thallala beach) in 2 minutes walking. The room is super clean and Nelca makes the best vegetable curry! Great location Everything! The bed, the comfort, the kindness of the owner The host received us with coffee and biscuits. He was friendly. It was one of the most clean rooms slept in during our trip to Sri Lanka- on a night budget. wifi is speed is very good . very beautiful place and very nice beach of srilanka

Lovely little BnB with delicious home-cooked food. Highly recommend!!

Super comfortable, affordable and clean. The place is super calm and very close to Talalla beach (2min walking). This is one of the best places where we stayed in Sri Lanka. The hosts are so caring, kind and humble. They made dinner for us twice and it was super delicious. I would recommend this place for families, couples and solo travelers. You can have your privacy but at the same time you don’t feel alone.:-) The house has a spacious and beautiful garden/outdoor area, with space to park a car or tuktuk if you are driving one. We had such a great time with this sweet family! Thank you for having us.

Calm and quiet, Breakfast really tasty, Family is very friendly and caring

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a blast. The location is really good it is located on a really small street so it is really quiet and you can chill in the terrace watching the garden and relax. You can find a supermarket next door and a beautiful beach (thallala beach) in 2 minutes walking. You can also do day trips with the local bus or a scooter to other beaches close by. The breakfast was amazing (try the Hoppers to deep into the Sri Lankan food). The family is really welcoming and helpful. We felt like part of the family. We would definitely come there again. :)

We felt very welcoming! The room is super clean and Nelca makes the best vegetable curry! Great location, just a short walk from the amazing beach, where you can swim and enjoy the calmness. There is also a little supermarket right next door if you need anything.

I only stayed one night, but could have imagined staying longer. The room was small, but very clean, the bed was comfortable, with a mosquito net, there was storage space and a terrace with seating and a hammock. The hosts were super nice and the breakfast was rich and delicious!

Our lovely hosts who were so helpful and cooked the best food and the Dahl was the best I've ever had. The location 2 minutes walk to the beach was perfect too. Also the verandah and the fact we had the whole top floor . The monkeys and bird life were fabulous

We stayed three nights at Thalalla bnb. We received vip treatment by this lovely family, husband, wife and grandmother. Upon arrival you enter a lovely well maintained garden. We were immediately greeted with a fresh juice! We stayed in the room downstairs at the front of the house, overlooking the garden. This room has private bathroom and a terrace with table and chairs. The room was very clean and there is a mosquito net on the bed. For a small fee we opted for breakfast included. Nelca will cook you a fresh breakfast each morning. She will make you whatever you prefer. We opted for hoppers and they were plentiful and delicious. She also serves fresh fruit and fresh juice. A very generous breakfast! For a small price we also had dinner here every night. Nelca cooked us delicious rice and currys every night, absolutely fantastic food. We even wrote down her Dahl recipe! The bnb is well located one minute walk from Thalalla beach. From here we also visited other locations using the local buses. There is a small well kept village shop two doors along and we bought drinks and ice-creams every day from the lovely owners. We highly recommend you staying with this lovely family for an authentic taste of sri lankan hospitality. We felt very comfortable here and we thank our hosts very much. Don't miss out, book your stay here!

Location is great. 5 minute on walk on to beach. Breakfast is grate on this place. Staf is helping on any time to any problems. Owner is very good man. I living room is comfortable. Bathroom is clean.
