Tolle Lage, tolle Wohnung, super nettes Vermieterpaar

We absolutely loved the location. Everything was so close by, including a tram station that made it super easy to get around Amsterdam. We also really enjoyed the accommodation itself. It was comfortable and cozy in every way. For three days, we truly felt like we were living in Amsterdam rather than just visiting!

Honestly, we have nothing to complain about. Everything was great, and on top of that, our hosts Jan & Marjolein were incredibly warm and welcoming.

Perfekte Lage. ruhig aber mit dem Tram, das alle 8 Minuten ins Zentrum von Amsterdam fährt genial. Jan und Marjolein waren sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Jan hat uns sogar mit seinem Motorboot kostenlos in der Gracht herumgeschippert.

Das Einzige was ich etwas vermisst habe, ist dass es keine Kochgelegenheit gibt. Aber das war von Anfang an klar.

We had a great stay in Marjolein and Jan's house. They are very kind and welcoming people. We enjoyed the canal tour that Jan gave us in the city and the local neighbourhood together with the stories. The most valuable thing when visiting another country is the feeling of connecting with the locals. Thank you for this!

Hele mooie locatie, aan het water! Hele aardige gastvrouw! Het was schoon en netjes. Van alle gemakken voorzien! Parkeren op eigen terrein. Tram naar het station op loopafstand is ook ideaal!

Idealna lokalizacja, blisko do tramwaju skąd szybko można dojechać do centrum. W pobliżu restauracje i sklepy. Parking dla gości na terenie nieruchomości. Pokój z własnym pomostem nad kanałem. Kajak do dyspozycji. Idealne miejsce do wypoczynku i jako baza wypadowa. Spokojna i bezpieczna okolica. Bardzo sympatyczna,miła i pomocna właścicielka.

Everything was perfect! The studio is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very well-arranged with plenty of storage. The bedding is excellent and the towels are incredibly soft. The location is peaceful and beautiful, featuring a stunning bay window with a canal view. It’s only 15 minutes by tram from Centraal Station and a lovely walk to the beach. Marjolein is a fantastic host—very helpful and generous with local tips. Her check-in videos were so clear!

Le cadre est vraiment chouette, au calme et Amsterdam est très facilement accessible en tram. Les hôtes sont adorables et très réactifs. Je recommande vivement ce logement.

Difficile de trouver les mots justes pour décrire une expérience aussi exceptionnelle… Dès notre arrivée, Jan & Marjolein nous ont accueillis avec une chaleur humaine rare, presque comme si nous faisions déjà partie de leur famille. Nous voyageons beaucoup, mais honnêtement, nous n’avons jamais vécu quelque chose d’aussi marquant. Tout était parfait, et même au-delà : leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité, leurs précieux conseils, et cette attention constante pour que notre séjour soit inoubliable. La balade en bateau, malgré le ciel gris, restera un moment magique. Le logement est tout simplement idyllique : calme, entouré de nature, bordé par un canal avec des paysages magnifiques, tout en étant à seulement 10 minutes du centre en tramway (station juste à côté). Et que dire du confort… les lits sont excellents, tout est pensé pour se sentir bien, vraiment bien. Si je pouvais mettre 11/10, je le ferais sans hésiter. Une chose est sûre : lors de notre prochain passage à Amsterdam, nous ne chercherons même pas ailleurs. Ce sera ici, et nulle part ailleurs. Un immense merci pour tout. Vous avez rendu ce voyage inoubliable. On vous attend au Maroc, vous êtes les bienvenus quand vous le souhaitez et nous espérons vous revoir très très bientôt. Mehdi, Youssef et leurs parents.

I really liked the location and the view of the canal. Wildlife and ducks! The room was very clean and cozy, and most importantly, it was warm.

Lovely, pretty location and a stylish room with everything we needed. Easy to get into the centre of Amsterdam on the tram. Friendly and helpful hosts.

It was small for four of us, but we knew that in advance and it was much cheaper for us than 2 rooms at a hotel.

We loved how easy it was to get to the Central station (tram 26 is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and it's 14 minutes on the tramto the Central station). There were also a number of shops a 3 minute walk away and on Saturday there was a little market selling food. Marjolein was a great hostess, very responsive and very helpful. She told us about takeaway options, sent us links to attractions and public transport options , and her directions from the airport to the Central station and to the house were very easy to follow. The house really is an oasis, it's so quiet and peaceful and the view over the reeds and canal are just lovely. There was also a canoe we could have used, but we ran out of time...

Below are just observations and tips for future travellers - there is nothing we didn't like and the room was as described. We didn't remember that there was no cooker or oven, but this is noted in the description, so totally our oversight. That meant eating out for dinner three times, but wasn't a huge problem - might be worse if someone was staying a week or longer. There is a large set of French doors, which means there is no real option to keep a window open at night time or during the day when you're out. Again, not an issue for us, but might be problematic if someone was staying during the summer. The room was perfect for the two of us, but I think would be a bit cramped if there were three or more people staying (open plan, I.e., no separate bedroom). These are just observations and by no means negatives. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect for our needs. Easy tram, quiet neighborly vibe. Laying on the bed made you feel like you were in a jungle because of the lovely garden the hosts have created.

Nice view on the canal, is possible to swimm. Very quiet locality. Two supermarkets are not so long from the apartment. There we have everything, what we need. Very kindly neighbour Diane. She was amazing and helpful. She gives us a present, when we have department. I recommend this for all visitors. The tram 26 go there from Centraal Station.The way is cca 15min.

Close walking distance to a tram stop, the porch on the water is a great place to sit, the kitchen is small but had what we needed. Our host was onsite when we arrived and provided access and a walk through of the place. He also took us for a a nice boat ride to show us the area, it was an unexpected perk and the kids loved it. There were also board games that we were able to play.

Marjolein and Jan were wonderful, helpful hosts, always available and with useful tips for exploring Amsterdam and its surroundings. The room had everything you need, the space was well-designed and allowed you to place everything you need. The location is amazing: the room opens out onto a canal where you can watch waterfowl, a supermarket is a five-minute walk away, public transport stops and stunning views of a modern, quiet residential area, located 15 minutes by tram from Amsterdam train station. The area invites frequent walks in a modern and comfortable architectural environment.

Last month I stayed in this apartment. My stay there left a lot of pleasant impressions. The room is very clean, cozy, warm, with all the necessary amenities. The location is just wonderful, not far from the center and at the same time quiet and calm. The view from the window to the canal is very impressive. The owner of the apartment greeted us very warmly and affably. When I have the opportunity, I will definitely come back here again.

Would be perfect for a couple but we were an adult and two teens and it was a bit tight. There is no space to put away luggage or any sort of wardrobe to store clothes.

The property was private and well setup for a family of 4, and would be even more spacious for a couple. We were able to swim from the private jetty and use the canoe. It was conveniently located for the tram and local shops - it is also close to a lovely marina and restaurants who deliver takeaway. Marjolein and Jan are lovely hosts.

Jan is an excellent host, we really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful, with an excellent view straight on the cannel, close to the city (15 min to Central Station).

It is a pity that you cannot cook, there is only a microwave in the kitchen.

Beautiful setting looking out over the canal. Very quiet. Has a nice deck and outdoor seating area. Nice shower, comfortable bed. The proximity to public transportation is great. But most of all, the hosts were amazing. They made us dinner twice, did our laundry and offered to take us on a boat tour. Wonderful people!!

I loved the beautiful view of the canal (right out the patio door!), where I was able to bird watch while relaxing. The room was very close to the tram to central station (about a three minute walk). I really like staying in residential neighbourhoods when I travel, it makes one feel more a part of the community. The room was also very close to supermarkets and restaurants. Just remember to bring cash, because the supermarket did not take credit cards!

More shelves or a cabinet in the bathroom would have been nice.

The place looks like a little quiet oasis very close to the busy town center. It was definitely one of the best places in which we stayed in Amsterdam, and we went there many times. Marjolein and Jan are very hospitable and friendly. Highly recommended

The room was clean and cozy with a very nice view of the water. The neighborhood is peaceful but still had some nice places to go out to eat and was very close to the tram stop. The host was lovely and very helpful in providing recommendations for things to see in the area and how to get there.

We enjoyed the stay in the Room with the a few in Amsterdam so much! Everything was ok, the appartment is cosy and well equipped with lovely small garden just by the canal (sitting there right by the water with the morning coffee or in the evening with the glass of wine was just amazing). And last but not least - Marjolein and Jan are really great, nice and friendly hosts, they took us for a boat trip and showed us their modern and interesting neighborhood IJburg. Thank you very much, we had a great vacation there.

17 minutes door to door from central Amsterdam. The host truly looks after your well being and check that you have everything you need. There are small shops and restaurants 5 minute walking distance from the room.

small and cosy apartment with lake view, equipped with everything that needed, close to the tram station and large grocery store, 12 min by tram to the central station. lovely host and great stay. definitely will stay there again when we come back to Amsterdam.

Nice room with a biautifull view on the water channel. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Grocery store, coffee house and tram stop nearby. Small and properly equiped kitchen and patio, spatious room. Very hospitable and helpful owners. Definitely recommend to stay!

Microwave only, no cooking hob. GSM signal is very weak in the neighborhood, but Wi-Fi in the room is sufficient even for smart TV.

It was a lovely place and neighborhood. Everything was very close and make the stay easy. The room was very comfortable and very cutly designed. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was brilliant, such a lovely studio leading directly onto the canal where you can sit and have morning coffee or go for a swim. Everything was comfortable and clean, small but perfectly formed. Plenty of towels, good mattresses and pillows, some basics like s&p, bin bags, washing-up liquid, coffee pods, tea bags, hand soap, hairdryer, etc. Location was perfect for us. Quiet, chilled out, relaxing mornings with coffee and pastries from the local shops around the corner, then a short tram journey takes you directly to central station and the hustle and bustle of downtown Amsterdam (trams are every few minutes until after midnight). Definitely hope to stay here again (possibly without the kids next time). Hosts were lovely people, very helpful checking everything was ok, with good tips of places to eat, etc. Plus added bonus is use of a 2-person kayak and a little trip down the canal on their small motor boat, which we did, along with the neighbours (also lovely people) and neighbours guests. I'd recommend to anyone who wants a special break away. It really is the best of both worlds at a Room with a Few

We had excellent stay at this room with our children. It is a great location, and great hosts.
