Eigenlijk alles. De ligging, de grote, mooie en schone kamer, het voortreffelijke ontbijt, de aardige gastvrouw en het prachtige uitzicht. Kortom top.

Niets, alles was perfect. De enige kleine tip zou kunnen zijn: een stopcontact bij de nachtkastjes voor het opladen van de telefoons. Maar buiten dat niets.

Wonderful place to stay, great location, comfortable bed, very clean throughout and amazing breakfast freshly cooked. Carol and Jim are the perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again

Jim and Carol were wonderful hosts and their home and rooms were amazing! We did not have a car so that was the only drawback for us. If you have a vehicle then I would recommend this property 100%! Thank you Jim and Carol for your warm hospitality, delicious breakfast and beautiful rooms!

La casa è meravigliosa, immersa nella campagna di West Cork, a 2 min dal caratteristico villaggio di Union Hall, in una delle innumerevoli baie della costa sud-occidentale. I proprietari sono gentilissimi. La colazione è superlativa, non solo per la varietà di pietanze ma anche per la genuinità dei prodotti che sono quasi tutti fatti in casa. Stanza grande, nuova e pulita.

Posto veramente incantevole. Situato in un borgo di mare molto tranquillo e suggestivo. Tutto curato nei minimi particolari, camera grandissima con un bellissimo e comodissimo letto King size, arredata in maniera curatissima, pulizia impeccabile, bagno pulitissimo con una doccia molto ampia. Per non parlare della colazione eccezionale, le uova con il salmone, dell’azienda presente proprio nelle vicinanze, erano veramente spaziali. La signora Carol davvero un’host molto accogliente, la sera che siamo arrivati ci ha chiesto se volevamo cenare con loro in giardino. Niente da dire, veramente consigliatissimo per il rapporto prezzo/qualità, siamo ai livelli di un 5 stelle!!!

Our hosts Jim and Carol were so friendly. The lodge was beautiful. The breakfasts were so delicious and filling. The scenery around the lodge was so nice with all the landscaping. Highly recommend this B&B.

Sehr schönes B&B, toller Garten, perfektes Frühstück, Carol ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin.

This is a pretty lodge in a nice garden. The accommodations were spotless, and the rooms were maintained in fantastic condition. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Hands down, this is the best B&B I’ve ever experienced.

Carol und ihr Mann sind sehr freundlich, aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer sehr geraümig und - wie das ganze Haus - liebevoll im Vintagestyle möbliert und dekoriert. Der Garten ist ein bunt blühender Traum. Carol zaubert jeden Tag ein traumhaftes irisches Frühstück und verwirklicht dazu noch jeden individuellen Wunsch.

Jim and Carol are just the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Room was well presented and breakfast just the ticket to kick off the day. Would we stay with Jim and carol again, without a doubt

Veramente un posto da favola. Una casa molto bella situata su una collina; la nostra camera aveva una bellissima vista ed era spaziosa e molto bella. Le colazioni preparateci dalla padrona di casa erano eccellenti. Insomma tutto ciò che di bello uno spera di trovare in un B&B.

The property is immaculate and so very comfortable, to the point of feeling luxurious. The rooms were spacious and the beds made it feel like you were sleeping on a cloud. The hosts were welcoming and made us feel at ease.

The room was large and there is a comfy couch in it. The room has a beautiful garden view, so you can enjoy the birds in the morning and evening. The room has a great shower and the bathroom is very modern. Jim and Carol are amazing and we had some nice chats with them.

Some other guests were unable to use the door handle as intended, so they simply slammed the door shut instead of closing the door quietly. This is not a criticism of the lodge, but is intended to draw the attention of other guests to its behavior and manners!

The property is beautiful and we loved our room so much.

We had such a good stay . Carrols breakfasts set us up for the day. Our room was magnificent. And the area of the Village of Union Hall is just how we wanted to finish our Ireland visit. Highly recommend this to all. Dintys was the only restaurant we ate at twice in 5 weeks of travel. Great recommendation Carrol.

This was a lovely, relaxing and friendly stay - the best we have found so far in Ireland. We liked everything about it - the position was fantastic, near a lovely little fishing village, the welcome was warm and the bed extremely comfortable. Every detail was perfectly thought out. There was tea and coffee, a little dressing room and a very functional bathroom which provided an excellent hot shower. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding - full Irish, with delicious fresh fruit to start with, brewed coffee and fresh soda bread topped with homemade jams. Carol and Jim were wonderful hosts, along with their daughter Tara. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

There was nothing not to like.

Gesamtes Haus sowie der Garten waren sehr schön. Carol, Jim und Tara waren äußerst freundlich und gaben uns Tipps für Aktivitäten in der Nähe. Man fühlte sich bei Ihnen herzlich willkommen. Das Frühstück war selbstgemacht und sehr, sehr lecker. Zimmer waren sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Kann mehr als nur weiter empfehlt werden.

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig der Garten lädt zum verweilen ein Carrol die Vermieterin ist sehr zuvorkommend Zimmer sind in einem Top Zustand die Beste Unterkunft die wir je hatten einfach außergewöhnlich

Carol Jim and Tara went out of their way to help me in every way. Picked me up at the bus drove me to town and back. They are very kind people and their home is beautiful. Incredible beds room furnished in high quality. Wonderful fresh fruit for breakfast and great breakfast.

Hidden away just minutes from the picturesque port of Union Hall, this lovingly cared-for guesthouse is a haven of charm and comfort. Hosts Jim and Carol are warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The home and beautiful gardens are testament to their thoughtful, tasteful décor with delicate details adding to the very relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in the Ashe Room for two nights, which was very spacious, and had a huge, very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice to suit everyone. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. It's a perfect base for exploring West Cork's wild beauty. Thank you, Carol and Jim for the travel tips and local knowledge.

It’s a lovely proper with beautiful rooms and atmosphere. Carol is a fabulous hostess and serves the most delicious breakfasts. Room was a suite with beautiful decor and an additional dressing room which was so handy.

Such a beautiful place! Great rural location but with everything a short distance away. Carol and Jim are lovely! Very welcoming and had all the knowledge of where to visit. Rooms were great and breakfast was delicious with lots of different choices. I'd thoroughly recommend this accommodation to any travellers to the west of Cork. Amazing 🤩

Beautiful House and very comfortable Rooms. Every Morning we looked forward to a wonderful breakfast, fresh fruitsalad with berries from Carols garden. Eggs to order and homemade Jams. What else can you ask for. Also the location is ideal to visit County Cork, Mizen, Beara, Baltimore etc We would come back to Lis-Ardagh Lodge any time and can recommend it for sure

The room was lovely. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast and friendly woman running it.

The location was a little further out of town than we'd imagined but our fault as we didn't check on a map. On the plus side, it was very quiet.

It is a beautiful place to stay! Beautiful house and garden, the room was big with a great big bed. The bedroom is very nice, big and with good towels. You can chose every day on a menu which breakfast you want. Carol and Jim are very kind people and can tell you good places for eat of walk.

Lovely house, beautiful room & gardens

Nothing didn’t like

Lis-Ardagh Lodge is a lovely property. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable king bed, beautiful linens and a nice hot shower. Carol’s excellent taste in fabrics, window coverings, ceramics and paintings made our stay at Lis-Ardagh very special. The garden at Lis-Ardagh was blooming with wisteria, rhododendrons and azaleas to be enjoyed relaxing under an umbrella on their deck overlooking the gardens. Breakfast is a treat with yummy yogurt and Carol had a fresh bowl of fruit every morning with a made to order hot breakfast. We spent three blissful nights at Lis-Ardagh Lodge in Union Hall. We didn’t want to leave. I almost forgot to add the village of Union Hall has a great laundromat and you can buy their famous smoked fish at the Centra mini market next door. Lots of good restaurants between Union Hall and Glandore.

Everything was fantastic! Carol and her husband were so nice and kind, perfect hosts! Amazing room, with all the facilities, lovely views and extremely clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely as well. Great for a weekend off, in the middle of the countryside.

Everything. Carol and Jim are fantastic. They were extremely welcoming to their home. The house is fabulous, set in beautiful gardens. It is spotlessly clean, as someone else said, the shower is spotless, everything is. The beds were comfortable with plenty extra bedding if needed. A large bedroom, dressing room attached, then second bedroom and bathroom. Beautifully decorated rooms. A great selection of cereal, fresh fruit salad and natural yogurt, followed by pancakes or a full Irish or a few varieties of cooked eggs. Loads of choices of tea, couldn't say about the choice in coffee. Carol has an information pack in the room with loads of info. And both herself and Jim were a mine of information re stuff to see locally. They were fantastic to chat to. Carol exudes this sense of calmness that is just so relaxing. Nothing phases her.

Lovely rooms and beautiful garden, a short walk from the village and harbour.

Jim & Carol are the kindest hosts and really made our anniversary trip to Ireland so special. The room was exceptionally clean and the facilities fantastic, quiet, comfortable, all amenities including tea / coffee. The highlight for me was the fantastic breakfast every morning, cooked fresh and delicious every time and we tried almost everything over our 3 day stay! A wonderful location too, so quiet and peaceful in the morning and the warmest welcome will wait you. We really enjoyed our stay in union hall as a base for exploring west cork and the south coast and I highly recommend you stay here, you will not be disappointed! Carol even gave us baked supplies for the day and a flask of coffee for the road, so many kind gestures all of which were so appreciated. Thanks again for everything!
